Central location right on the beach. Room with well equipped - fridge, stove, microwave. Good sized king room. King bed, couch and breakfast table. Bathroom had nice walk-in shower and large soft bath towels. Two chairs outside the sliding doors to enjoy the beach view.
Free coffee machine was a nice touch.

Beautiful location, right on the beach. Outdoor fire pits for fires when there is no fire ban and we love the outdoor sitting areas with propane fires when there is a ban. Staff are really friendly & helpful. Big lawn area for kids to run around, with swing set & volleyball. This place is the best for family gatherings. The only thing I would change is the blinds in the room. They’re nice for sleeping but its hard to access the balcony without opening them fully, letting in the light for others still sleeping.

I don’t understand how this place is a 9.4, I believe it should be a 5.0/10 It gave off more like an Indian motel vibe and the beach isn’t special to look at. For the price I paid, I’m extremely upset, what a waste of money. One night cost me so much. I will never book this because it was dirty, barely any cooking amenities, the bathroom shower guide rail came off and it was moldy asf! Again I would’ve never booked this garbe motel if I knew how bad it was. The staff was good and the parking was fine.

It was beautiful! Clean rooms! Beautiful view and ease of access to the beach especially on the main floor. Staff was eager to help and were prompt in getting anything we needed ( toaster)

The downsides: it was so loud until about midnight every night.
The sprinklers went on around 830 am-- while the kids were out playing -- ( right at the edge of the back patio.

We stayed for 3 nights, arrived a little early for the check-in time and our room was already available. So, we were able to settled in pretty quick and enjoyed our stay.

The staff in the lobby is super nice and friendly. There is a unlimited coffee and tea in the lounge open from 8am-12mn which we loved. The only downside is we get up a little early than that 😅. They also have bbq grill that you can use, a billiard table and some board games. You can also play volleyball and swings for kiddos and etc.

All the rooms have great views, so you can't go wrong with any of them. We have the king bed with kitchenette, not a fan of the induction stove tho. So, we mostly ate take out food while sitting outside under the sun. There is also a small fridge, plates, glasses, cups, bowls and cuttleries. Almost everything that you need in the kitchen they have. Our room/bathroom is updated and i think all rooms are the same. A/C works great.

Over all, it was a great stay and we will surely come back.

We discovered an ant infestation and were offered a late check out or a coffee in return. (Definitely didnt want to stay in the room any longer, so declined) Emailed about the issues and never got a reply.

Excellent location for exploring the area. The rooms were spotless, and the bathrooms were very modern and well appointed. The kitchen and laundry facilities were a fantastic bonus and made the stay very convenient.

Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The only minor downside was that the pillows had an unpleasant odour and could be improved. Otherwise, everything was excellent, and I would happily stay again.

Very impressed with work done upgrading motel. Fixtures are modern. Room very clean. Pillows a tad too big for what we are use to. Ocean view excellent. Fire pits/bbq great to have. Pool table, games, golf putting good to have. Free coffee and a good selection.
Our room did not have anywhere to hang clothing. Not sure if work still in progress. Lighting over table/chairs a little too bright. Same as kitchen light. Need a decent size lamp for medium light. Light fixture at bed we had to ask how to turn on as I need to read at night. Device comes out, hit button to turn on. A little strange. Balcony door blind is one big piece. To get any kind of privacy on ground floor ocean view whole blind must come down. We were worried about breaking chain on blind as was stiff/tough to work.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would go back,

We stayed on the ground level so easy access to the beach. View is amazing and we were up to see a spectacular sunrise after having a good night sleep on the comfy beds. The staff is helpful and friendly and we were able to get early check-in. I have stayed here many times before and will continue to make this our Parksville stay. This hotel was amazing! Views stunning...right on board walk...huge room with kitchen....and used their bbq too. There was propane heaters in cabannas out front and fire pits. They have laundry facilities as well but only one washer. Only comment is that there should be a toaster in the rooms with Kitchens.

This was a perfect stay for one night. Right on the beautiful sandy beach with great outdoor space to gather around the fire pits and picnic tables. Also a great beach volleyball area for some fun!
We also booked the Finnish Sauna for just $40 which was the icing on the cake.
The room had a wonderful balcony facing the ocean view. It also had a well stocked kitchenette. Loved the organic products too! So good 🌞✨

Large amenity room with large pool table, large wall TV, free coffee (push bottom coffee dispenser with 10 flavours to choose from. ) Direct access to beach, lots of picnic tables on hotel property by the water; has 2 full sized outdoor gas bbq under covered roof; wood fire pits; also has 2 garden sofa sets and propane gas fire pits under pergolas. Large sports net for volleyball or tennis. Bonus for checked-in guests, it’s free admission to nearby Paradise Mini Golf and Fun Park.

The view, the location are perfect. The guy from the philipiness had an amazing customer service. The only thing I would complain about is the cleaniness. This is the second time I stayed here and twice there was left over food in the fridge. The Coffee machine was broken and also the floor was still dirty. The bed and towels had a few stains in them.

Our balcony did have a tree in front of it, which would have blocked the view had it been in bloom. But otherwise the location was amazing, the room was clean, the staff were helpful and parking was easy. The kids loved it, and plenty to do to encourage you to explore the beach, with a great playground just up the beach. Would definitely go again!

Well renovated and modernized, but structure still feels weak. Walking around felt like I was a giant shaking the floors, would hear banging from jsut normal activities from neighbours too. Cleanliness was decent, the counter want fully wiped when we arrived, had precious guests toothpast drips still around. We had a wonderful stay at Sea Edge Beachside Hotel in Parksville. The location is absolutely perfect — right on the beach with beautiful ocean views and easy access to the shoreline. It’s the kind of place where you can wake up, grab a coffee, and walk straight out to the sand.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the atmosphere around the property is very relaxed and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

Parksville is such a great area to visit, and staying right on the water made the experience even better. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet beachfront getaway on Vancouver Island.

Front Desk staff were wonderful and very helpful, the location is quite ideal, and we enjoyed our stay. That said: With a partially-obstructed view, our room had a warped door, a wonky microwave, a cracked range, peeling wallpaper, and a rather long crack in our wall; it would also have been nice to have dishes and cutlery that were not from the ‘60s. Basically, the property is showing its age and needs an overhaul.

This is the second stay for us. The place has been renovated and it looks much better. We were in a kitchen suite which was great but we did have to ask for a couple things ( toaster, frying pan) which were brought to us no problem. It’s right on the beach, so always a great view. We would stay there again if back in Parksville.

Friendly staff upon arrival, clean rooms, and a great location. If you’ve stayed here before, you’ll notice some nice upgrades and renovations.

I’m giving an average rating because my first room had a strong cigarette and musty odor, which surprised me since it was newly renovated. I initially tried to tolerate it, but it triggered a bad headache. Thankfully, the staff were very accommodating and quickly moved me to another room that smelled much better. Five stars to the team for their prompt and helpful service.

I was also disappointed to learn the property is no longer dog-friendly, as I often travel for work and prefer to bring my dog (though I didn’t on this trip).

Lastly, the lobby doesn’t open until 8 a.m., and the main coffee machine is located there. Since my day started early, I missed out on a morning coffee before i checked out. There are in-room coffee machines, but they appear quite dated, and I wasn’t comfortable using them.

Overall, a decent stay with excellent staff support, but a few issues impacted my experience.

This would have been 5 stars but our room 107 was lacking privacy as it was directly by the outdoor communal area and in the path of pedestrian access to games area and beach, unfortunately there was only a pull down black out shade to provide and privacy, having sheer curtains would be a good solution to allow for privacy and also light. Also there was no hooks or closet to hang jackets
The room was well set up with a small fridge, dishes and cutlery, very clean and a comfy bed.
We would definitely stay again. Just not in room 107
