Our stay was fantastic! The hotel was clean and well-equipped, and the location was amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly.

We had great Mexican food in the food hall, and then we went to the brewery just two minutes away, which was fantastic. We also took a hike up the hot springs, which are only a five-minute drive away.

We left a day early even though we had paid 2 nights. Was not aware that there was no dedicated restaurant only “fast food” and that the hotel was in an industrial/commercial area with no dedicated bar. It was full of drunk people and the host at the Yuzu Burger bar was rude.
The shop area was lovely and the reception staff were polite. We had a suite, but was very basic with wallpaper peeling off the walls. It was freezing cold for hours until we realised that no heating had been put on for our stay and we had to do that ourselves.
I think your advertising for this hotel is misleading and am requesting a full refund as really hated it and was in tears. I did not want to complain to reception as they were polite. For the record i have travelled extensively in Iceland and this was the worst hotel i have stayed in.

We loved everything about this hotel, the area around it was very quiet, but areas that were walkable and a grocery store and gas station right in front of the property, which was convenient to grab on our way back out of town. The room was adorable, we loved all the thoughtful touches, including the bulletin board with all kinds of information about the area. The downstairs with the shop and food hall was a nice perk. Staff was very friendly, the breakfast, although not extensive and options was very good. Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

This was the first place we stayed in Iceland and we loved it! The food options were great, the drinks at the bar were incredible, the breakfast was delicious, the beds were very comfortable and we had a wonderful time. I have to give a huge shoutout to Benni who was working reception overnight, the 3rd night of our stay. He gave us guidance regarding seeing the aurora borealis and was so incredibly kind and gracious.

The room was stuffy (we have no thermometer in our room to adjust it) but contrary to other reviews, we just opened our window and it cooled down extremely fast! The staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is good! Don’t expect a warm breakfast like eggs and gravy but they have bagels, cold cuts and cereal. Free parking right in front of their hotel!

We use the greenhouse Hotel as our homebase for the week. It was the perfect location for our southern coast of Iceland adventures.

The room was incredibly clean, the beds were comfortable, and the shower was a great way to end each day.

The staff were all very helpful, and ready to give recommendations of things to do with places to go.

The food options and bar in the evening were always humming. you could tell it’s a really loved place to go to for tourist and locals alike.

The breakfast every morning that was included was exceptional North American breakfast could learn from this place!

Very good for a night or two stay. Abit noisy at night with heavy doors shutting and its on a busy road . However a great concept and we liked the choice of foods in the market and shopping downstairs.

We loved this hotel! Comfortable, casual and very pleasant. We chose it in part because of the food court in the lobby. That made the hotel an even better choice! It was fun and we enjoyed a variety of food and drinks. Hung out there at night for hours - guilty of staying until closing. lol. Seems popular with the locals too. The casual atmosphere totally fit our type of trip which involved a lot of hiking. Our rooms were spacious, clean and had large windows overlooking the beautiful scenery.

We mostly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's definitely trying to be hip with layout and decor. The attached food hall was super fun and had a lot of good choices. The room was small, but had everything you needed. Note that they charge extra to have your room cleaned. Our only issue is that the bar in the food hall stays open until 1pm and there was a lot of noise outside our window from people going outside for a smoke after midnight.

Excellent-but make sure fire doors are closed

We had an outstanding stay at the hotel. We had a family room on the third floor and my son loved the bunk bed. Breakfast was delicious and included excellent brewed black tea. We had an issue our first night where the fire doors on all levels had been propped open by house keepers and then not closed which creates a huge fire hazard since all rooms sit off a main staircase with a restaurant at the base. I alerted the manager in the morning, who did a fantastic job of addressing my concerns and the doors were closed the rest of our stay. I was relieved because we really enjoyed our room but would have left the hotel that morning had they not addressed. I am posting this in part to alert future visitors and ensure they continue to close them.

What a beautiful place! We stayed 4 nights to explore Iceland's southwest region. It was pretty centrally located with (for the most part) easy, free parking. There are a bunch of cute restaurants in the greenhouse, and nearby, when you are too tired from a day of hiking, to drive far. The hotel has a delicious breakfast buffet (variety of delicious breads, meat, cheese, eggs, jams, nutella and fruit) The staff was friendly and helpful. Would 100% stay here again.

Amazing views from the hotel cosy rooms. Great location to visit most of the golden circle attractions.
Perfect for food and drinks. We enjoyed the sunset from the rooftop and its comfy garden furniture.
Overall great place to stay, shame that staff are not very friendly especially at breakfast time as we had to ask for butter or something else.

I’ll start with the cons. I stayed 6 days here and there’s is not cleaning service during that time. I wish even 1 time during my stay it will have someone changing towels and straighten my room. It was expensive so I was hoping for more.

Also I get it’s not a huge hotel, but different options for breakfast would have been welcome, especially for guess that don’t eat meat. Every morning was the same options, and that was a little disappointing for me. The staff was friendly and approachable and overal my family and I had a nice time.

I stayed at this hotel for one night prior to heading back to the airport.

I would highly highly recommend both the town and the hotel for at least a day or two. I packed so much into the day including an early morning thermal hotspring hike (recommend!), lunch at the taco place in the hotel (yes you read that right - there is a dining hall with multiple choices like a really high quality mall food court), then an ice bike guided mountain bike (honestly a highlight for me - highly recommend), followed by fish and chips dinner, followed by an even drive out to the coast just to check out the ocean and have some lobster type soup.

Epic single day and The Greenhouse was an amazing kick off point (oh and they were very accommodating on an early-ish check in - the front desk lady even ran up to check to see if it was ready as she thought the computer system wasn’t updated). 5/5 on all accounts!

I honestly would have given excellent on the hotel but didn't for only 2 reasons.
1. I tried to change my reservation by one day less than 24 hrs after booking and they wouldn't allow. I know it is a no cancellation reservation, but even so, most places allow a change withing a few hours.
2. We noticed a smell in the bathroom from the moment we arrived. It wasn't HORRIBLE but we all noticed it.
Beds were comfy, staff were kind, breakfast was good, several dining options in hotel, and don't be like us and miss out on the ice cream shop inside hotel.

Only one night here but a lovely spot with a little gift area and a food hall with a good selection. Rooms were clean and perfect with a window seat and a notice board with a map and things to do pinned to it. For some reason as in the other accommodation in Iceland this hotel also doesn’t supply face cloths we recommend bringing one otherwise everything was provided as expected. Would definitely recommend.

I loved staying outside of Reykjavik area and closer to the scenic areas I wanted to explore. I enjoyed staying three nights at this hotel because it was absolutely beautiful, the staff were simply extraordinary, the shop is everything I’d want to buy (if I had enough room in my luggage), and the variety of restaurants with high quality food (tacos, nachos, fish & chips) was super convenient. Free parking. Free breakfast spread including croissants, fresh bread, granola, yogurt, fruit, deli meat and cheese, etc. Additionally I recommend their cookies and hot cocoa! I had rented a car and traveled solo and went to black sand beach (2 hour drive). The krater lake was 15 minutes away as well as fabulous boutique shopping in Selfoss. There are lots of adventures (zip lining, horseback riding, hot springs, hiking, etc you can book while there). More importantly than all that was the staff. They would talk with you if your travels and respond when inquiring about recommendations. They are truly part of the awesome community in the small town. I’m definitely returning.

Fairly disappointed with this hotel. The rooms weren't particularly clean. There were some old stains on some of the bedding. I was surprised that it was impossible to get extra pillows. Supposedly they have absolutely none on site. The windows aren't the best so it can be quite noisy from the industrial estate nearby. It felt like staying in a hostel above a shop. Which considering it was more expensive than Reykjavik, was more than a little disappointing.

The lack of real door locks on the rooms, and no do-not-disturb signs, meant that cleaning staff walked in on me in the shower at 9am. Particularly surprising since room cleaning is only done off you pay an extra charge.

Overall I was pretty disappointed. If you need a quick night somewhere, there's definitely worse out there, but for the price you can definitely find better.

There were some positives, the beds were surprisingly comfortable and the staff was nice.
