Everything was amazing. If you’re not booking one of these cottages, you are truly missing out! Our cottage featured a staircase in front with an incredible view. The sun shinning through in the morning was absolutely perfect!

We had a great stay, primarily because of the bartender. He is very personable. We had only stopped in for an after dinner drink, and ended up closing tge place. 😆 He told us about a delicious sounding drink recipe that contained root beer. We happened to have some bottles of root beer with us that we had purchased at one of of the bourbon tours - we got them and brought them to the bar and he made the drinks which we then shared with other guests. In return, we shared with him a new drink we had created elsewhere that we named the Happy Traveler. I look forward to going back one day and hopefully seeing our drink on his menu. We would legit stay here again just to hang out at the bar.
Otherwise, I would have given three stars because of the dinner experience. The staff there were very nice, but I ordered chicken and it came out raw. Had to send it back, they made it again, and it came out raw a second time. That’s actually why we went to the bar, to grab a drink and some bar snacks cuz I was hangry! lol

It was clean and did the trick, but it definitely could use some TLC. It was old and outdated, and several items were neglected. I'm sure they could find a balance between new/modern and rustic. Several \"quick\" fix items existed too: repaint vent covers, address some rust, etc. The bed was also really firm/quite uncomfortable. The convenience of the lodge was great, but other than that, it didn't have much going for it.

Cabin shower had no shampoo in the container. The blinds don’t all work and are in disrepair which lessened the ability to open them to see the beautiful scenery. The refrigerator is rusty on the outside so hard to tell if the kitchen was clean. Beds were comfortable and the staff were great!! The continental breakfast would have been great if there were protein options that were hot. It was less substantial than a general hotel continental breakfast and being it was served in the resort, was not as expected. Did have a great time despite the items mentioned.

Great property for summer. Going in November we missed out on a lot of benefits it has to offer. Room was clean, bed comfy. Property could use a little updating of carpet in halls and elevator but it is a state park and has a lot to offer. Very close to what we needed. Staff super friendly and great suggestions in the area. We are already looking to return during summer months!

Great location for exploring the Natural Bridge area and Underground kayaking. The lodge was clean. Our heat wouldn’t work the first night and staff just offered an extra blanket. They said no other rooms were available yet the whole lodge and parking lot felt empty. We woke to 50° inside our room. The next evening we spoke to another couple experiencing the same issue. No compensation or repairs offered. Thankfully, we were gone most of the time.

Beautiful setting in the woods, the restaurant inside of the facility had very good food and service. There was a miscommunication of where to check in at, which caused us to drive around for 30 minutes trying to find the correct place. The rooms seemed dated and a little rundown, even though a couple pieces of furniture had been updated. The elevator had an atrocious smell to it. For the price we paid we were hoping for more. Overall, the experience was OK, but probably would not stay at this facility again.

Sunroom ceiling was covered in mold and the light in that room was out so we never used this room, which is a shame since it got the most light. We asked for them to replace the bulb the first night and they never did. The kitchen was almost functional. A bare minimum of pots and pans (luckily, we brought some of our own) but no cutting board. The place was clean and it was quiet and in a very nice wooded setting; location was very convenient for our activities nearby.

Super clean room, Ava at the check in was very nice, pleasantly surprised by hotel itself, thoroughly enjoyed the dinner buffet and complimentary breakfast buffet, disappointed with information about exactly where we were staying and very upset at being told room slept six (we had five guests) to find out they expected three people to sleep in each of the FULL sized beds (thought there would have been a pull out couch)

We loved that we could hike from the lodge but it was also convenient to get to Red River Gorge. We ate at the restaurant 2 nights and it was good both times. It was fast and not crowded like everything else in the area. The continental breakfast was a huge plus! I would stay here again if coming to the area.

I booked a room last minute after the hike up to natural bridge . I ended up booking one of their cottages as it was all that was available. It was cute, quiet... lots of spiders. I found them just about everywhere. I ordered food and a bottle of wine at the lodge and took it to my cottage with me. The kitchen was well equipped, the room did not have a working blow drier. Overall it was good for a last minute, unplanned stay. I probably could have used a few less 8 legged friends..., lol but I managed!

We stayed at the Park Hotel and unfortunately found it to be quite outdated. The air conditioning was a constant issue — it would only run for about five minutes at a time. We called several times for assistance, but nothing was ever done to resolve the problem. The screen was ripped out of the door, so we couldn’t leave it open to enjoy fresh air without letting bugs in.
The food was disappointing across the board, from the free continental breakfast to the buffet and tavern options. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location — it’s centrally located to many attractions and just steps away from the Natural Bridge, which was incredibly convenient.
Overall, the location was ideal, but the accommodations and food left a lot to be desired.

We enjoyed the space of the executive cottage. The lights on the path from the cottages to the Lodge were on during the day, but not in the evening when we walked back to the cottage, perhaps the timer is set wrong?

Cottage was mopped with bleach in every room. A/c had been turned off so when you walked in it took your breath away. Even after turning on a/c and opening windows 30-45 minutes later it reeked. Unable to stay in cottage and resort was full so we had to leave.

Our room was very comfortable and spacious. The balcony was lovely. The breakfast buffet was ok, but somewhat limited in options. The pool wasn’t open, understandably, but the walk from the lodge would have been daunting. Many many steps.

Cabin smelled very musty, poor lighting- only 1 lamp in the large bedroom and large living area, dishwasher still had dishes in it, dish detergent but no scrubber, no paper towels, no decaf coffee in room or available from the check in desk, multiple light switches with no known function.

The biggest issue we had was that the AC was not working in August. We called the front desk and the lady came over and messed with it and then called maintenance and they went back and forth for 45-1 hr before finally moving us to another room. Then they discovered some glitch in the system that automatically turns the AC off so the next day we had the same issue and had to call the front desk for them to turn our Ac back on. Not cool (literally). The hotel also randomly locked doors accessing the restaurant and lobby forcing guests to walk to the main front doors to enter the lobby.

For an older state park property this lodge was outstanding. The room was super nice and we had a porch with a forest view. Included breakfast was standard food, scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy. Make your own waffles. Toast and cereals. We had dinner there for a very reasonable price. The food was great. I would visit again if there weren't so many other places to go.
