I booked this hotel from 12 to 16 February but was forced to leave on 13 February due to the condition of the room.

The cleanliness was completely unacceptable. After the room was “cleaned”, dirty cloths and sponges were left on top of the bathroom surfaces. The toilet was in very poor condition and the overall standard of the room was far below what you would expect from a 3-star hotel.

I was also given a disabled-access toilet without requesting this or being informed beforehand.

Because of these issues, I did not feel comfortable or safe staying and had to find alternative accommodation at short notice.

I contacted support to request a refund for the unused nights and this was refused.

I would not recommend this property to anyone who values basic cleanliness and hygiene.

This is a self checking property and there is no one on site to assist. Did not receive info to access the building. Had to call the number on the building to connect with property management. Make sure you receive a separate email with access information the day of arrival.

The front desk was not staffed upon arrival, and I was provided with an incorrect access code, which delayed my entry. Additionally, there was a persistent beeping noise from the tenant above, likely from their dryer, that lasted for about an hour. When I reported this issue, the only response I received was that management would address it with the tenant. I noticed a $53 resort fee that was not clearly explained, and breakfast was not included in the stay. Overall, I would recommend this location as a last-resort option for accommodations.

Rooms were very spacious, quiet and comfortable! Bathroom and shower were great. We liked the key code system of room access as opposed to plastic keys. Management and housekeeping staff were very helpful and cooperative. We stayed for 5 days and in the middle, we had to transition from Booking to Expedia. Upon calling the management they made it seamless, and we did not have to switch rooms!

Downsides: despite high quality Nespresso coffee pods, no sugar or milk! And no tea bags either! Breakfast was literally the same fare everyday with.no variation whatsoever! Something they should work on, if possible.

But overall, a wonderful place, centrally located in Southwest Iceland and provides ready access to all spot on the Golden Circle and beyond!

Checking in was not. I blame Expedia because after the request from Hotel Bella to pay at their website, Expedia wrote this:
\"Stay secure! Never provide credit card information in a message or on a website after completing your Expedia booking. Don't make any electronic payments outside of our platform.\"
As a result I chose not to pay until I arrived and the codes to access my room did not work. I had to call for help. It was very disturbing.
A woman who came later had paid a week earlier and couldn't get her codes to work either.

Great stay except, good communication, however, it would be a good idea to mention in your email or on the code entry pad to use the pound key after you enter your code to gain entry. Also, turn heat down or include fans. These minor changes could easily bring you to five star.

There are some parts in the bathroom were missing. But overall the apt is really convenient, and close to everything. Only thing I need to mention is there is no front desk. The code to enter the building and room were supposed to be sent via email to me. I received the emails, but no code was included. I have to call the hotel to get the code. I saw many other people for the same problem when they wanted to get into the building.

we travelled south of iceland and needed an accommodation for few days. the apartments are reasonably spacious and modern. coffee machine was provided. large bathtub available and i could enjoy thermal icelanding water not being in a condition to actually visit the public baths.

We only stayed here one night on our last night in Iceland but I wish we could have stayed longer. Access and parking was easy; the apartment was spacious and well appointed. It was really nice having a washer/dryer and full kitchen. That said, the restaurant downstairs was AMAZING and not to be missed!!!! We look forward to returning. :)

In general the stay was very pleasant, sadly there is no luggage storage anywhere on the premises. When I asked for one I got a link to a company that provides self storage service, but nowhere in Selfoss, so that was interesting. Luckily we were able to check in earlier, if not we would have lost half of the day, as it’s difficult to hike with luggage, and we were travelling by bus, so could leave luggage in the car.
There is no reception, you get codes to access your room, so be sure to ask for those as we got ours when we arrived after requesting it.
In the room you would find great bathroom fully disabled-friendly, clean and spacious.
Bedroom had two single beds clipped together to work as a double with very comfortable mattresses.
Small fridge was more than enough, but sadly in terms of equipment there was only capsule coffee machine and two cups. No plates, cutlery, tea, just few coffee capsules and nespresso machine.
TV set mounted on the wall had few channels with mostly English TV stations, that’s was also surprising.
Overall it’s a great place to stay on your way either east or west of southern coast of Iceland.

We stayed here for one night on our Iceland trip. It was nice, clean, comfy. We had a little trouble getting into the lobby front door but we called and they helped us get in. The apartment was large and came with everything we needed. There is a foyer for your boots/shoes which is nice but there wasn't a good place to hang coats. We tried to book it for another night but it wasn't available. We would stay here again!

The rooms are good, clean, and comfortable. However, the check in experience leaves a lot to be desired. There is no check in desk here and there is just a voice doorbell that you can call reception with. This doorbell has a 1 minute call timer limit on it, so if you will have to call again several times to check in and get information about how to get into your room (if there is someone available to pickup - we called several times before anyone was available, standing outside in the rain). The doorbell voice is also very quiet to hear with the street traffic right beside the door.

One small window and it was very warm with a huge comforter for winter. It is summer here and I know maybe not warm for some but some of us run Hot!. This apartment had a small window overlooking route 1 a busy road. It was a comfortable apartment and super convenient. Would have liked a smaller less cumbersome blanket summer weight. But I know I'm probably in the minority on this. But check in was super easy, all online. Would stay here again.

A nice modern hotel right in the middle of Selfoss. There is a self check in process that we had trouble with at first because we didn't get email instructions because it was a last minute booking. A quick call with the included phone in the lobby and we were all set. There is no included service in the lobby but you can make coffee in your room. We did not receive room service either during our stay.

The check-in process did not work. There is no front desk, so no one to assist. Travelers are supply to receive an email with the key box code to pick up their keys. We did not receive the email and the phone number provided led to a recording in Icelandic. We tried sending an email, but got no reply. We found someone who spoke the language who interpreted the recording for us and got a new number to call. Finally, we got a live person who gave us the code for the key box. It was frustrating and time consuming for two travelers after an overnight, sleepless, 7.5 hour flight.

Terrible check in experience. Received email with code for back door that I didn’t need and it said I would get another for my key. Never got second email. Tried calling all the numbers on my reservation confirmation and nothing. When I arrived there was a sign that said check in at kiosk; there was no kiosk. Called and got the answering service, took them ten minutes to transfer me to the manager who finally gave me a code for me key. Room was fine, water smelled a little odd and the drain in the bathtub didn’t work.

Comfortable and Convenient Apartment on Route 1

Clean modern apartment with comfortable beds, hot shower, and blackout blinds on Route 1. Free parking. Walk 30 seconds to 'GK Bakari' for a fresh bakery breakfast or 'Matarlyst cafe' for lunch/dinner.

Few issues with self-check-in: I received the 1st email with key code to enter the Bella building, but not the 2nd email with key code for the room, so make sure you receive both emails in advance! The phone number listed in the 1st email didn't work on my mobile/cell, however, the owner was friendly and resolved the issue quickly via the Bella lobby landline.

great location, rooms are very spacious with full kitchen (we had 2 bedroom apartments) we had 2 same rooms for all my friends and 1 was awesome, the other did not have heat. It was not very cold that night and blankets are very warm, so we survived, but hotel staff did not do anything to fix the heat. they just said it will be warm in 2 hours. so we waited. did not warm up, we came back-no one at the reception. so we just went back to bed and it was ok, only because the dawn blankets are very warm.

We requested 2 twins beds. When we went up to the room, the 2 twins were connected by a big fitted sheet, blankets, etc. I went down to tell the front desk receptionist, and she handed me extra bedding for me and my friend to separate and make our own beds ourselves, as opposed to setting us up with a different room with what we requested, or having a staff member do it. After a long day of hiking/driving, me and my friend did the room rearranging of moving the beds and making up our own beds.

I then went to take a long hot shower, and quickly found that the water smelled of sulfur (aka rotting eggs).

All in all - wish we picked a different place to spend the night.

Nice hotel. We stay there in December-we were only people in hotel-nice. But Bella's staff forgot to serve breakfast for us in a morning- not nice. They are return money for breakfast and advice us to go to the local bakery. It would be OK for some people -maybe- but not for us. With diabetes you can eat in a bakery-was not a pleasant surprise in a morning. No coffee or tea in a room as well.
