No one at the front desk every time we passed there was a sign noting to call a number for assistance which we had to do to check in. The room lacked soap, drinking cups, Kleenex, the fitted sheet on one of the beds was not on the correct way so we had to remake the bed in order for the fitted sheet to stay on. There was an odor (some type of spice/cooking scent) through the area.
The pictures shown on the website do not represent the what we found. The breakfast included was not what was represented. Coffee was out, somewhat inconvenient set up with two rooms. No individual servings (milk) was communal from a gallon sized container. Only pastries were 2 boxes of dunkers from Kwik Trip.

This place is Disgusting and run down my room was gross and not clean what so ever I question if the sheets were even changed. I checked in at 9pm and left at 3 am I couldn’t sleep I was so grossed out I had to get out of there of course there was no reception around at 3 am to voice my complaints so back on the road I went all tired.

Tub faucet leaked the entire time. Toilet and all mirrors were absolutely filthy. the room was cow themed and absolutely creepy. said there was breakfast but there actually was not. Key card didn’t work for the pool room so half the time I couldn’t even get in. The hot tub is at least 110 degrees, awesome if you like being boiled alive not so great if you just want to relax. they left the doors open in the dead of winter negative windchill and let the whole place become freezing cold. Provided an ice bucket but no ice machine or cups. Desk was filthy.

I should of spent a few more dollar at one of the other hotels in the area. Everything in this place is old like the 80s, or 90s they haven't put any money into maintaining the up keep. The linings to the carpet and bed probably the original from when it open. The window in our room wasn't able to close all the way. The parking lot wasn't plowed. I was scared to go in the pool and hot tub due to the look of the entire hotel. Will never stay there again.

This place was literally dirty. Chunky rugs that clearly hadn’t been vacuumed in who knows how long, the toilet in our room was not clean, the breakfast area featured old dry donuts from Kwik Trip and a rotting apple with fruit flies. This place is very clearly struggling. I feel bad for them but they need to clean their dang hotel or they’re going to get shut down.

Rooms where clean with clean towels. No plastic cups in room. Hot tub out of service. Staff was only at desk when we checked in. Never really saw anyone again. Breakfast area for breakfast: no waffle mix to make waffles. Coffee was gritty. In mini refrigerator was milk, loaf of bread and donuts. It was a quiet stay. Thank goodness for this awesome restraunt next door. Not Just A Café to get great food.

The room had old decor that had dried grasses that dropped onto the bed and headboard. Everything was dusty. The "breakfast" was in a closed off room with wet carpet and fruit flies. Sugar was crusted onto the jar and would not come out. I just gave up and spilled it out. New management would be good to keep the place clean as staff just sits on couch in front of TV. They could also make simple repairs. We wont be back. Unfortunately.
*note: When we were checking out, there was one young staff that was very friendly that may have been housekeeping. So not all was terrible.

It is unlikely that we will return.

Room was musty, sheets and pillow cases were stained, and seemed dirty and we saw bed bugs in the bed. Also front doors were very dirty, parking lot was in bad shape, and ceiling of outdoor car port was missing panels and was in in generally poor condition. We were only there for approximately 15 minutes. On top of all this, the rate was not that reasonable either.

The people who worked there were great and the pool was immaculate and really warm (the hot tub had half the jets out but the ones that worked worked well.

The balcony and view were lovely. The location was convenient. The bathroom was clean. The fish tank gorgeous.

But this is why I’m doing this review, as it was not safe for little kids ( I had a 20 month and 7 year old grandchildren). The door between the next room couldn’t be locked and my granddaughter kept going in there. They finally found the key to lock it but keeping her away in the meantime was tough).

The bolt on the main door was not on well and we had to jam coolers and suitcases up against it so my granddaughter didn’t break it outright. It was pulling off.

Half the breakfast stuff was not set up or working. The creamer for the coffee was spoiled and lumpy and had to be thrown out. The juice machines didn’t work.

There was a questionable stain that looked biological on the room carpet.

When we asked for help they helped where they could, but did not offer a room with a working bolt.

And most concerning of all, when my daughter had to go back because she left something in the room, they just said take any key… they will work. I know mine stopped working and had to be replaced the next morning but she was pretty freaked out that it was that non secure that anyone could go in.

So I promised her I would do a review in case anyone is traveling with small children, who need a heads up.

If you love 3 inch long thick black pubic hair all over your bathroom floor you will love this place! Had our neighbors screaming and blasting music from 3am till 430am having to call the front desk twice and had to convince him that he needs to come and deal with it. Breakfast is a joke, weird stains all over the room, splatters on the ceiling and on the carpet, and the shower drain is so plugged you are standing in 8 inches of water by the time you are done showering if you are lucky and don’t run out of hot water.

This is the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in. Sheets were dirty, slept in clothes on top of the bed. Place smelled like cat urine. Doors were dirty, water bottle and beer can on the floor. Left a day early couldn't stay there any longer. Health department should shut this place down. I'm contacting them tomorrow. Want a refund of one night

The room they put me in a room that appeared to be clean until you started paying attention. Crumbs on the bed, questionable spots on the walls, dirty ring the bathtub, blood on the bottom side of the toilet seat. My group and I found a new place to stay immediately and felt the need to shower of the AmeriVu as soon as we got to the new place. Even the front desk person at the new place felt pity on us for having stepped foot into this hotel. For the love of all things good and right, DO NOT stay here.

What i didnt like was the smell it was bad, one bed had a block of wood for the leg and felt like was going to tip over. Plus the underneath of the beds no one has cleaned in ages very gross. I had a ant crawling on my leg under the covers the firat night. The Continental breakfast was formented orange juice, cold coffee and day old cupcakes. Wuth how much money we spent for just the hotel it self im not happy. The only nice part of this hotel is the swimming pool and hot tub.

Never again I’d like a refund

Waited at empty front desk about 5 min — bell on wall had flower / flag on it and it was not marked to ring for service. Entry doors were dirty, parking lot/landscaping — curb appeal was run-down, un-inviting. If the room was $60/ night I would not have been so concerned.
There was no phone in the room to call the front desk. I could not access any channel on the TV (or ask for help from front desk)
Tub was stained, plumbing fixtures discolored, dull—like very old or poorly maintained.
Toiletry products were partially used.

No liner for aluminum (?) ice bucket. Top of dresser was broken in several places (some stone? Or synthetic stone like marble)

Bar for shower curtain and hanging clothes was PVC pipe with fittings to attach to wall.

The bed appeared clean and adequate. I had working electrical outlets to charge my phone. Offered internet service but I chose not to use as the place felt “sketchy “

Breakfast bar — coffee and creamer. Juice machine marked out of flavor, no fruit or pastry, eggs, etc. two waffle irons that were cold — didn’t bother to check if there was batter available

Pictures online were not representative of the current conditions. I’d like a full refund.

I was looking forward to using the whirlpool Saturday evening, but it and the pool were shut down at 8pm. Sign said it was open till 9.

Went to have some cereal in the very limited breakfast and both containers of milk were expired.

Paid for a 3 bed, was brought to a dirty, no beds made 2 bed. Then brought to another 2 bed that had dirty cups and soap and hair in the bathroom. It was late and i had 2 littles with me so said screw it and stayed there. They offered me cash for the difference but gave me less than half the difference back. The next morning kids want to go to the pool. There was full hard shell taco's in the bottom of the hot tub. Terrible experience, do not recommend.

Please do not stay here! I felt so unsafe by my self with my 3 young children. There were long term residents, some with pets. There were dirty dishes on the ground in front of some of the rooms labeled ‘private’. The pool area was extremely dated. There was hair in the shower of our room, the headboard was broken on one of the beds. The entire building had a very odd smell.. the latch on the door (extra lock) was removed. The pictures do not accurately portray the property at all. We left and went to a different hotel shortly after we checked in. The only positive experience I can share is the front desk staff (owner) was friendly.

The staff was very friendly, he was a relative of the owner. The hotel is nothing like the pictures on Expedia. Unfortunately when we walked into our room we got blasted from extreme heat, felt like a sauna. The heat was set to 80 degrees. The room itself was decent for an older hotel. We went downstairs to have a look at the pool, it was dark as it was closed for the evening. It appeared to have lots of seating for the guests. The hot tub appeared to be broken there was lots of stuff floating in there. The pool appeared to be dirty as well. There was broken glass in the candy machine at the front desk. When we entered back into our room, we seen a few cockroaches crawling on the wall by the window. We managed to get one of them but that other one was on the loose. The continental breakfast was a joke. All there they had was two waffle irons and a machine for the batter, no plates or syrup. We grab a few coffees and two juices from the juice machine. The orange juice had a fruit fly floating in it:( We came back to the room and there were cockroaches in the washroom. We didn’t even have a sip of our coffee, packed up our things and headed out. There was no one at the front desk to talk to so we just left our room key. Expedia contacted the hotel and the nephew refunded 2 of our 3 nights. Thank you very much for that.

The room had a terrible smell. It was fealthy and outdated. Middle of the night was loud and angry voice coming from outside our door. It looked like a building for homeless people from what some of the rooms looked like. No working spa at the site and the pool didn't look very clean. The building needs lots of updates and repairs.

I hate to say it, but the staff was overwhelmed and unable to keep up. They didn’t know how to check us in and had trouble making a key card. This situation involved the staff walking in another guest’s room while they were there using the master key. The coffee/breakfast was disorganized and lacking cups and beverages. I finally just went to McDonalds to get a cup of coffee.
The room was okay except for the bathroom which had unpatched holes in the wall, cockroaches scuttling about and the floor next to the tub was in need of repair.
I felt for the staff person who really was trying to take care of guests but seemed unaware of the systems with which to do so.

Do not be fooled by the pictures online they are from back when the hotel was new and the hotel is not new it's old run down moldy smelt horrible just horrible experience. When they get the key out of the key return basket to take you to show you your room that right there is a good indication of just how bad the room is going to be because somebody else has left that room didn't like it either. Top it off with the room that you pay for is definitely not what you will get I upgraded to a deluxe room and they put me in a disgusting room that wasn't even what I paid for and had the nerve to tell me that they do have the rooms that I paid for upstairs but that they were reserved. Mind you I had made this reservation 2 months in advance and was standing there and they had the rooms available but we served for other guests and I am just never ever going to stay there again.

This was a terrible experience. The room smelled very musty causing us to have respiratory issues. The carpet was so dirty and we looked under the beds to find cobwebs and dirt and other items. It must not have been cleaned for months. It was a patio room and the sliding door tracks were so dirty they didn't work well. The screen door was broken. There were blood stains on one pillow cover. The bathroom was clean but the door didn't fit well. The hot tub was empty and the pool looked iffy. The breakfast was acceptable. We almost left but stayed the night and left the next day and cut our two days to one.

The bed was fine. Price was reasonable.
Noisy business across the street woke me up at 5am. Breakfast was a joke. Manager refused to give me a credit for early check out. He said a 24 hour notice was required. I told him this was a first. Even in LA they allow for a credit on early check out. I would drive to another city before staying there again.

When we finished checking in we were told the hot tub was broken. We went to our room and the TV wouldnt turn on..The front desk clerk worked for 30 min. He was friendly and helpful. Then we were offered a different room... Which was okay. Morning came and I saw the most limited continental breakfast.... It was worth substantially less than we paid.

The bed, linens and bathroom sink were clean but floors and walls were not The entire place had a moldy odor with a strong cleaner odor to try to cover it. Would not stay again

Sadly disappointing, reviews not accurate.

I stay at a hotel at least once a month. I always use Hotels.com and I always read the reviews. I know New Richmond is not a large town, but I felt good about the hotel because the reviews said good things. I knew it wouldn’t be “brand new”, but I expected better.
Upon arrival, there was no one at the front desk. 4pm on a Friday, when the hotel was sold out. I called the number posted… and after a few minutes someone came out. He was very polite and nice, but it still took forever to check in. We were in a time crunch, as we had a ride coming between 5 and 515.
We got into the room and tried to turn on the TV and it didn’t work. After spending 15 minutes trying to diagnose the issue, we ended up asking the front desk to fix it.
The manager (?) came to our room (barefoot) and spent over 20 minutes trying to fix it, as I was trying to get ready. He said it would be fixed when we got back, I explained I didn’t want anyone in my room while we were gone. Finally, with 10 minutes to spare before we had to leave, he hooked a new DVD up and had it working.
Other issues: the door between rooms did not lock. The toilet paper holder fell off the wall. The floors were dirty, like with actual dirt, the tub had dirt in it also. The outlet for the microwave did not work, so had to use the bathroom plug in. And the blow dryer did not work, so I had to find a house keeper in the morning to get a new one.
The staff was very nice, but they need to clean up their act. Was not impressed,

This place is falling apart at the seams. Needs some TLC.
The gentleman at the desk told me 3 or 4 times “you are wrong” when I was trying to get in the internet instead of helping me. Then upstairs we were having trouble with the electronic key and asked for help. He grabbed it out of my husbands hand and said “you are wrong again”. When I told him he needed to learn how to talk to people he was shocked. I think he felt badly and had no idea how rude he was being. Still not pleasant.

Very friendly staff. Rooms are clean and bathroom was recently remodeled. It is an older building. The walls are paper thin and can hear others talk. We used white noise app to cancel out sound.

Property was musty and moldy. Made me sick. I was supposed to stay 3 nights, I left after the first night. They did not refund me for the two nights I didn’t stay.
