The room was very nice. Better than what we expected! The staff was welcoming and provided Excellent service! The breakfast was amazing! You can make your own waffles!! The pool area was fun and relaxing with pool towels available at your convenience. Atlantic beach is only a 6 min ride from the hotel. And the location is near restaurants, shopping areas and gas stations! The cost is perfect. I'll definitely be back soon☺️

Stayed 2 nights. We didn’t try the breakfast but went through to turn in our key at checkout, and breakfast looked good with others enjoying it. The towels and washcloths could be replaced. You can tell they are about worn out. Also the cleaning crew did not take care of our room and give us clean towels and washcloths. They were cleaning the rooms next to ours when we left. Went to front desk that evening to get clean towels and washcloths and was told they would bring them later. Had to return to front desk just before 11 pm that evening before the front desk closes to get the towels and washcloths. The lady at front desk said, Oh they didn’t bring them to your room, they bring me some to the front desk. Not sure if they are short on towels and washcloths or if they just got behind on washing them. The rooms could use some painting and updating. Overall things ended well and if we needed a place to stay would not mind staying here again. Have had worse experiences at other places. The staff was polite and looks like they have a nice area for breakfast near the lobby. People were also enjoying the outdoor swimming pool.

We couldn’t check into our room till an hour and a half after check-in time because the rooms weren’t cleaned. We arrived at 3:05 and initially were told it would be about a half an hour. Came back at 4 o’clock and was told they still weren’t ready. They were finally ready at 4:30. Then they wanted me to blindly sign an electronic pad to authorize the charges, even though I had prepaid the charges through Expedia. When I wanted to see a printout of what I was signing for they told me they couldn’t provide me a printout until I signed and the amount they were telling me was more than just the $100 deposit. Luckily the amount did not actually pull from my bank account after I signed. The coffee pot in the room did not have the tray for the coffee and I had to go get one myself. Although they provide coffee in the room, they do not provide any coffee, condiments and you have to go to the main lobby to get them yourself. Our second day there we wanted to use the pool, but the pool look like somebody had poured gallons of milk into it and was very cloudy so we did not get in it. The next day, the pool looked the same, even though the clerk claimed that the maintenance person had been there that morning and yet the filters were not running, so we did not use the pool the entire time. And the fitted sheet on the bed came off repeatedly while sleeping, which was just a tangled mess. The only reason I did not give them one star was because the room was clean.

Our room was supposed to be ready by 3:00 it was past 4:00 before it was ready there was no back on the TV remote battery kept falling out , basket was missing off the coffee maker. The room looked old and outdated, bathrooms was not clean only one set of towels. They never came the second day to clean or even drop off clean towels. I would never stay there again !!

When I arrived at the property and got into my room, smelled of musty mildew. There were stains on the cover sheet when I removed the cover sheet, there were stains on the comforter as well. There were toothpicks and doggy treats and hair all over the room so it obviously not been cleaned. But we got me was there was a blood smear above the toilet paper. When I told him I wanted to switch rooms, they told me they were totally booked that they’d have someone clean it in the morning. I would not recommend staying here.

This was the worst experience of my life. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody we were not able to check in at 3 PM. We had to wait till 430 and there was prostitutes outside of our room all night long hanging out at a picnic table.

I checked into this hotel and changed my mind as soon as I saw the room. It was not to my liking, more like a rundown outdated room. The pictures on their page did not represent what it really looked like in person. I asked for my money back and was told that it will be returned within 5 to 7 business days. I called several times no one answered. I sent a messages and received no response. Clearly I would not be returning.

Don't go here. Spend your money else where. The pictures are not what the inside looks like and I feel like I was mislead. This is a 1/2 star hotel. There was mold on the walls, stains on the bed, water damage in the ceiling, and my dad had to clean the bathroom cause there was grime and hair everywhere. They literally only clean if you leave or you ask. I could go on with how dirty and poorly maintain everything was but I honestly wish to forget the experience! Nasty!

Breakfast was horrible, the bread actually had mold on it. Did not empty our trash cans in the room not once, kept having to go to the counter to get towels and wash cloth's, because they were not restocked. The bathrooms were just nasty. No water pressure in the shower. I understand it’s a cheaper hotel but they can do a little better on the room service and the breakfast.

We stayed here on fast terms, the first room they gave us had a really strong smoke smell so I requested another room. The second room was perfect especially since we try to get motels for diving trips so we can dry our scuba gear out on the banister and just watch it from inside the room. But decent room not many complaints!

The staff are friendly and very helpful however my husband and I will not be coming back to this hotel. When we first went into our room we noticed a good amount of red/brown food on the duvet and the flat sheet. On our way out to eat my husband went into the office to speak with the assistant manager (I think that’s what she is, only two people work there) about this. She hopped right to it and told their cleaning staff. We came back to our room a few hours later and the bed was nicely made. At bedtime we went to get into the covers and they were NOT clean sheets! The cleaning staff put THE SAME nasty sheets back on the bed! My husband and I brought the bedding that was disgusting to the office to show the same lady as earlier. She came with clean sheets that my husband and I made the bed with and apologized. I too had to apologize because I was a tad bit ticked off whilst speaking to her about the situation. She very nicely refunded us for or stay which was so nice of her. So the staff is very nice but their cleaning staff SUCKS. It wasn’t just the bedding that was nasty in that room. They should get rid of those cleaning people and hire new ones.

I absolutely loved my stay here! The property was beautiful, well-maintained, and conveniently located, making it easy to enjoy everything the area had to offer. I was genuinely sad when it was time to check out.

The "continental" breakfast was abysmal. Sausage patties microwaved to the point of being too hard to eat, eggs that tasted like the inside of a pillow. There was options of cereal, with no milk. There was a waffle maker, but the entire time we were in the dining area, it never became available. They put us in the wrong room, then claimed it was the same price as the one we paid for so it wouldn't make a difference. The staff was very rude on the night shift, to the point of yelling and lecturing my children for waiting for me by the pool. There was no indication for when the pool opens or closes. When we returned to our room one evening, the entire room smelled like cannabis, with people smoking on the balcony. Upon calling the front desk from my cell phone (because there were no hotel phones in the room) staff said they would talk to the people in an irritated voice like I was disturbing her night, the situation was never resolved. Two towels were provided in the room, and when my son went to inquire for more, no one was available, so we had to use pool towels that were kept in a bin outside. I also hsd originally purchased 3 nights, but ended up checking out after the second (by checkout time) but they refused to refund me the room for the additional night we paid for and did not stay. Overall, this was the absolute worst hotel experience I've ever had.

Booked this motel to save $ for a quick stay on our way to OBX. You get what you pay for. Got checked in quickly & pulled up right in front of our room. First floor & king bed was going to be great! Wrong! First, our keys wouldn’t open the door, then we realized looking in the window that the bed looked slept in already. We knocked & no one came. Back to front desk we went. Was told the only other thing available was a double on the 2nd floor, even though the room next door to our original room was empty and we could see the bed wasn’t slept in and no luggage inside. We took the double. Walked to it first to make sure it was going to be ok. First we came upon someone lighting a joint in the second floor breezeway. At least that’s all it was, I was thinking if it looked like something else we were out of there! Luckily our room was quite a ways from that guy. Try our key & again it did not work! Headed back to the front, then realized we didn’t try the other key. Luckily it worked! Got in & room was fairly clean, beds made properly. By another breezeway and people out there smoking, plus could smell the marijuana also. This was all being pulled in through the window AC. This is an old motel, not kept in great condition, but isn’t the worst I’ve ever stayed in. Definitely going to have to start spending more to get a decent place to stay. Showed up early for breakfast, so we left. Bed linens stained, but clean. Towels stained & thin, but clean. Slept good, smoke smell went away

The property at Garnett looked very nice and the pool was nice and clean.
The room, however, was not. The beds were clean and comfortable but the bathroom needed cleaning. The floor was dirty, the tub was dirty and drained very slowly, I would say they need a bathroom remodel. The towels and wash cloths felt damp before you even used them. Most hotels have at least 4 of each. We had 2 and there were 3 in our party.
The staff was okay. They were not overly friendly and sometimes grudgingly helpful. One lady even locked the pastry cabinet and turned off the juice machine while my granddaughter was still getting her food, very RUDE indeed! I will not be staying there again.

the front desk staff was pretty helpful, they let us know that the pool closes at 12 so we took a little night swim which was great. they had fresh towels by the pool as well, which was great. the beds were fine, pillows were a bit flat but still comfortable. the bathroom is probably my least favorite part. it wasn't dirty, we had fresh linens, but the toilet barely flushes, and the sink didn't fully drain on its own, we had to manually drain it. overall, our stay was fine, the hotel did what we needed it to do. the price was a bit high in my opinion for the quality of the room, but the staff were helpful and the pool had late hours which were big pluses for us. I would probably choose this hotel again just for how easy everything was, and it's in a very convenient area. if the bathrooms were updated, this would be a 5 star review!!

Staff was great, room was decent for the price. Rooms could use some basic upgrades (fix bar that hold clothes, new mattress, deep clean carpet or replaced with something else, and it smelled of marijuana most days. Will be staying there in a couple of weeks again and will discuss with management. Overall a good place to stay if you don’t plan on being in your room most of the day and just need a place to shower and crash.

This hotel is really a motel. The photos and description did not begin to compare to the actual property. There were stains on both bedspreads, the bathroom tub/shower toilet were badly stained. The room was so disgusting we checked out 15 minutes after checking in, and decided to find other accommodations, which was difficult. The exterior room entrances were not safe. Do not stay at this property unless you're desperate.

There was a strange man walking by my door at all times of the night smelling of pot.

My first room was not cleaned - it still had the soap of the previous person still in the shower.

They put me (a single woman) all the way in the back.
And the lock was missing parts and did not work.
I have a picture if you would like to see.

I would honestly like my money back, but pretty sure that wont happen. But i will not be back.

Room was molded. And unfortunately I didn't notice until check out time. The entire stay I had headaches due to the mold. The pillows were mildewed. The bed skirt was mildewed. I would have asked for a refund but why bother. They don't seem to care. Now it's Sunday. We left Saturday morning and I'm still dealing with the migraines brought on by the mold. Yes. I've been to Dr. I will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!.

The Google Photos of this hotel make it look far more appealing than it actually is. My wife and I stayed here for 4 days and not once did we get fresh towels, toilet paper, trash bags, or sheets. On top of that, each day we were here, our key magically would stop working while we were out around town causing us to repeatedly have to get it fixed. Going to get it fixed would take at least 20 minutes for someone to even come to the front. The overall cleanliness of this place is terrible. Each trash can you passed was overflowing with garbage and trash bags piled on the sides of them. The shower in our room had other individuals hair all in it and the toilet looked as if it had never been cleaned before. The towels that we had from the beginning of our stay had black stains all over them. Our AC did not work at all during our stay, wouldn’t even turn on. There was a dehumidifier that was completely full, no telling the last time it may have been dumped. There was food and drinks left behind in the fridge from previous guests. There were certain staff members that would walk around asking guests for cigarettes. On the last day of our stay, we tried to check out, no one would come to the front. We called the number left behind and it was a disconnected line. We kept our hopes high that our room would be refreshed each time we would return from being out for the day, but were let down entirely. As stated before, photos online of this hotel are far from the reality of it.

The hotel thing's putting a cheap coat of paint on the outside and it's location is a reason for premium pricing when the rooms inside are dated and honestly disgusting. There was mold mildew and dirt especially in Corners in the bathroom not to mention the water scum that was built up on the stainless steel shower fixtures as a former Hotel housekeeper that is absolutely unacceptable and unsanitary and shows poor care for the cleaning Crew That's contracted for this hotel. Not to mention your cleaning crew shows up at 8:00 a.m. and starts yelling and screaming in the parking lot asking if everyone's out yet I'm sorry my checkout time is it until 11:00 a.m. how about you could tell you're cleaning company to go jump off a cliff because I paid for a full night.

You cannot open or shut your hotel room door without absolutely slamming it and that's another thing they just don't care about because they put a coat of paint on it and it's all better because it's by the ocean it may be only $100 a night at most but I would do everything in my power to never stay at this hotel again and I urge you to do the same

The sheets in one room were dirty, feces on the wall. Unfortunately I didn’t find out how bad the room was til next day as I wasn’t in the room. My room was not fresh clean but not as bad as the other. You had to be careful not to pull faucet off when using it. Do not go there.
