I love the historical aspect of this property. I’m glad that there was a bar in house so we didn’t have to leave the property. The coffee shop was great as well. The staff was really nice and helpful. The one complaint that I have is that our room smelled of mold or stagnant water of some sort. They tried to mask it with air freshener, but it just smelled like moldy air freshener. Whatever that is needs to get corrected. I’m not sure if it’s unsafe or unhealthy to be breathing.

It was a really great weekend get a way loved that it was apart from the main house but we still had access to the house and the free breakfast was a plus. Couldn’t get over the tub and warm water I loved it. You don’t often get a tub and warm water in Mexico.

This place is very lovely, vintage, and unique in every way. I love the common areas, the bedrooms, and the cafe area. The food is very good and staying there is very cheap. I highly recommend staying there because it is a short walk to the pier area and the experience is amazing. You can tell the locals are drawn to this place for obvious reasons. The only downfall is there isn't enough parking. However, the owner was very nice and allowed us to park our car inside the facility behind the gates. We'd definitely stay here again!

Only downside is that a couple days we had trouble getting our breakfast tickets and the cafe would not accommodate us for breakfast, even when an employee had told us the night before that it would not be an issue. I had to make a stink to fix what should have been a simple issue. Wifi worked great.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was great. Beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The breakfast each morning was wonderful. A bit of a language barrier as we don't speak Spanish well at all but the staff was gracious while trying to figure out what we needed. The last night of our 4 night stay was quite loud with two late arrivals. 10 p.m. and midnight and then a lot of stair stomping at 3 a.m. No fault of the hotel but very inconsiderate of the new arrivals. Only down side to not having staff on site at night.

The Covid safety procedures and check-in were reassuring. The staff at the Cafe who help you were phenomenal and so kind. The Daisy room was small, quaint, clean, and comfortable. The bed did slump in the middle but not to the degree of discomfort. The space is a cute, quiet, and delightful respite in the middle of Ensenada.

We enjoyed the quick check in and history behind the house. It was nice having the ability to use all the facilities such as a patio with BBQ and the kitchen should we need a stove or fridge. At night the cafe has a great ambiance and a nice place to hang out at night. I think the best part is the huge restroom within the Daisy room. A good morning shower was enjoyable given the warm water and great water pressure. We had a good time and in the morning we went to the cafe on site which was included with our stay for an American breakfast. Definitely coming back.

The one thing we thought could be improved was the breakfast: this is a cafe that serves a nice brunch off of a menu, it wouldn't cost them much to offer a menu item instead of two eggs with bread.

I had car trouble on the way to the hotel. I tried to cancel because we were not going to make it. I called the hotel and there was. No answers. I called hotel.com. They couldn’t get ahold of the hotel. When the car got fix I went to the hotel the next day. It was closed. I didn’t see an opening or any customers or staff. I ask the businesses next door “Oxxo”and no one new anything. I believe it a front for steal money off innocent people.
