A couple from a group paid premium $$$ and their room’s heater did not work. The staff could not fix the issue and could not compensate them because they booked through Expedia.

We enjoyed our stay here very much! All of the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The layout of the resort was very unique and full of beautiful views. We would especially like to thank one of your staff members who works in the lobby - he helped us get around and helped us with anything else that we needed with such a welcoming attitude! Property was beautiful. Didn’t realize everything was so spread out. But that was okay. Room was clean and comfortable, Wish there was a tv in the room. Breakfast the server never brought our drinks.. not a lot of English speaking, which is understandable because we’re in Mexico just made things a little more challenging. Restaurant Yumano, Told us they ran out of tequila and beer when we had dinner, but our wedding party was inside and said they didn’t because they were being served. Pool needs more loungers and towel area. Overall everyone was really friendly and we’d love to be back.

Maglen resort was amazing. Friendly and accommodating staff. Every interaction felt warm and inviting. The hotel restaurant served great food. The resort is tucked away in the mountains and provides beautiful views.
I enjoyed the wine tasting at the resort, the staff was knowledgable and super helpful. My Spanish is not that great and everyone had patience with me and spoke English if necessary.

Very cute winery, staff were sweet and accommodating. The only thing that was disappointing was the shower. It was literally a trickle of water coming from the shower head and was extremely loose.

They have WiFi but the signal was extremely weak. Heads up there’s no tv but that was totally fine with me since it was great to disconnect for the time we stayed there. The food was SO good too. Excellent service.

We showed up at the property at check-in time (3:00 p.m.) but we weren't able to get into the room until 4:00 p.m. No one at the property told us that the power and water was out for the entire property. People at the pool area told us they had water but no electricity. We tried to wait it out, but needed a room with running water so we left and went back to Ensenada. Disappointing and I'm still trying to get a refund.

Had an amazing stay at this resort! Staff is super friendly and helpful. The brewery has good beer and all the restaurants on site have great food, no need to leave the area to look for good breakfast, lunch and dinner. Love the location and pools and jacuzzi are clean and well kept. I recommend staying here.

I had an overall great experience staying here, but I want to highlight a couple of things for future guests. First, be aware that there are extra charges for services, especially for American visitors. For example, they wanted to charge me $100 for a round-trip ride to the nearest restaurants. Additionally, breakfast is not included in the rate. Instead, they provide a $10 credit per person, but it won’t cover the full cost of your meal.

Uber service in the area can be unreliable, so I recommend arranging a taxi or securing a local taxi number in advance to avoid paying extra for transportation. It's a good idea to plan ahead and clarify all potential costs with the hotel to avoid surprises.

There are no TVs in any room which I liked because my husband and I spent more quality time, however the bed in the room was very uncomfortable. There are three resort areas that they make seem to be very close to each other (walking distance) but this is not true, you need a car to get to one of the resort areas. Service at the restaurant is not that good, lack of people skills. Front desk rep was nice.

Wine Resort in Guadalupe Valley

We stayed in the airstream trailers. Mine had NO MIRROR. When the front desk was told about this they just seemed to blow it off rather than offer to provide at least a hand held mirror.
This resort is in three different physical locations. Distance between the properties is too far to walk. Each property has different amenities. The one where the front desk is has a bar, and a restaurant for breakfast. The area we stayed in had the trailers, rooms, a pool, the winery and a dinner restaurant. The third area had rooms and the spa. So when making you reservation look at each area. The website does not make it clear.
Overall not a bad place to stay except for the mirror. And other than this issue, the staff was helpful and friendly.

I don’t know where to start we arrived half hour early of course they made us wait at the bar so we ordered two drinks there was 5 employees behind the bar socializing 15 minutes later they started making the drinks the water pressure in the room was very low every time someone turned the water on in another room we lost our pressure I could go on but overall it wasn’t good for the price we paid

We waited 15 min for someone from guest services to check us in. Our room heater was insufficient to heat up the room and kept cutting off even after they came to see it. Jacuzzi is not heated and workers said they cant temper it. The gym was non existent where we stayed, we would need to drive 5-10 minutes to another part of the property. Overall such a let down for the cost.

Second visit at this property but not the same experience. Complete lack of hospitality from the front desk staff - mentioned we had a dog at check in but was then accused of not paying / asked to come back to the front desk and pay. First room the HVAC did not work - had to move rooms. Second room the plaster from the ceiling was falling off, toilet leaked, door did not latch. When mentioned to the front desk - asked what we did to it. No apology, no compensation. Restaurant was understaffed - felt bad for the two people working. The property is beautiful! Not sure if I would stay again after this visit.

Walls are very thin can hear everything. Sheets smelled like mildew. They have NO T.Vs.
Ate dinner at the restaurant/bar/brewery my husband ordered a borrego plate and it had a piece of wire in it. I asked for the check and let the waitress know about the wire, she took it back to the kitchen came back and said it was part of the wire they tie the borrego with, didn’t even offer an apology, didn’t offer us a discount on the check or dessert, nothing.

Horrible experience from check in to check out. For $250 a night, you would think that you would have running water, be able to use your credit card, and excellent service at the restaurant that charges an arm and a leg. It wax completely the opposite here.

- No water for 5 hours after we arrived - couldn’t shower after swimming.
- Poor service at restaurant - no attention - dogs running around and overheard staff saying, oh yeah, there always here.
- Staff informed me checkout time was at 11:00 AM. As we rushed to get out of there, and left, we were told checkout time was actually noon.
- at restaurant, paid $2,000 pesos, for a $1,500 pesos dinner, and they took forever to come back, therefore, forced to leave a $30 tip for an $88 dollar dinner.
- left a $148 dollar deposit, which they have yet to return because “we left two dirty towels.”

Overall, this was a Terrible experience. I have been to a dozen hotels and resort in the past 12 months and this is the only bad review I have left. Will NOT be back!

The website was misleading of what our room would like (Tesela is not the individual pods). The room was damp.
The bathroom floor was constantly saturated (without showering) and the rug in the room on top of the concrete was damp. Same with the towels in the room. The property is spaced out so depending on where you stay you have to drive or walk it. I enjoy walking however it was pouring rain so no walking. The roads are dirt on the property and really wear and tear your car. SUV or truck is recommended. We got a nail stuck in our tire due to them.
Although the spaces at property has it’s charm, it’s just not fully there and I would not go back.

My room was not set up as it should be, I didn't have water in my room. It was raining and the water went in and my luggage was wet. My clothes wet from the water coming on the room, I was unable to change the next day due to that. I didn't have hot water, I was unable to shower as well. I paid for a stay that only provided a night and left without showering due to cold weather and cold water in the shower. Boiler was not on. I shared my concerns at check-out and all they said was \"You could have called for the water and sorry for the water coming to your room.\" I also informed them the plaster ceiling was dripping down to the floor, chunks of plaster. receptionist only wrote it down and said thank you sharing. I provided my info to be given to the manager, no call has been made. Not the best experience.

We stayed here for a wedding that was around the corner. This property is very unique and intimate. It is not a party hotel. I do wish we had more time to explore the surrounding area. Our room was nice, AC worked properly and the shower temp water pressure was excellent. There is no TV in the rooms which is no big deal but if you travel with children or need a TV I would suggest to bring an iPad or laptop. I would also highly suggest to bring your own water/drinks and snacks for your room as things close around 11pm and there is nowhere to go and buy something if you are hungry, the hotel is pretty isolated and you have to drive if you want to go anywhere. Overall I had a good experience, no complaints. The Wifi even worked well too.

Ricardo was not customer friendly. He is the one that would not allow us to check in an 1 hr early even after explaining our situation. The hotel was not packed. The rest of the personnel were very nice. The roads around the facility are dirt roads and uneven.

My only constructive criticism would be they need to upgrade their air conditioners. The temperature outside was 100 degrees Fahrenheit and the room would not stay cool at all during the day and was not cool enough at night to sleep comfortably. The door leading to the balcony had huge gaps for the air to escape which was part of the cooling problem.
There was also no television or room service which is odd considering they call themselves a resort and the cost for one basic room was over 300 dollars per night.

Not what I expected! No hand towels, no kleenex, no toilet paper holder, no mini fridge, dirty washbasin, a lot of dust around the washbasin that I had to clean myself, a lot of dirt leading to the room. I would not recommend it. We dined at the restaurant, had the worst server ever, the food was soso. The pool's water was icy cold, the jacuzzi was off and had to be turned on so We had to wait one day for it to bet warm and then it was scalding hot!

Our second time staying at this resort and it did not disappoint! Staying in an airstream is exactly that so best not to expect too much but we were comfortable other than not being able to adjust the a/c unit. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again but in the rooms next time.

Overall the property was very nice. I had booked a room with a queen bed but was given a double bed. The room had no TV (which I was not aware of) and the jacuzzi could definitely be hotter.

Aside from that, the hotel was very clean, lots of cool places nearby. The staff was exceptional.

We’ve stayed here before, and liked it. Booked a higher end room which confirmed a small fridge and mini bar. The room had neither of these items. I shared this with the front desk 3 separate times - one person said a manger would talk to us (never happened) this is all unfortunate since we booked 3 days and planned to keep some snacks/light meals in the non existent fridge. Such a let down that management didn’t care to respond. Also- no cushions were provided (even after requested) for the outdoor seating area that came along with out room, leaving this are unusable. It was also very difficult to get a pool towel. Just too much effort on our part for a vacation, We should have just gone camping.
