The rooms are beautiful. The view from our room was absolutely stunning. The staff was so helpful and so friendly. Everything was immaculate communication Via WhatsApp was very efficient and responsive with the staff. Breakfast was absolutely amazing and the view we had from our breakfast was also great.

We liked the hotel very much indeed. It’s got a great location up on the hill, and the staff were incredibly friendly. My one complaint is that the wine fridge in the room was the wrong temperature. It was much too warm for white wine, but then it also chilled the red wine so that then ended up being at the wrong temperature! Related to this, the larger mini fridge in the room was also much too hot, it hardly chilled the soft drinks. So all in all, it was difficult to get a glass of cold white wine in the room! Anyway, not a big deal and overall I really liked the hotel, and the staff for especially friendly and hospitable. We absolutely love the valle de Guadalupe and thoroughly recommend it. We also much enjoyed Bruma, which we stayed at a couple of nights before, I would check that one out as well if you can.

What isn’t there to love about Banyan Tree Veya?! It’s a stunning property with all the amenities one needs for a wonderful stay. The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. A special shoutout to Esteban, who simply goes above and beyond to ensure guests are well cared for. Another shoutout to Leticia from the spa for a wonderful experience. All dining options are a must, as is the Pictograma and Atalaya experience. This is by far our favorite hotel in VDG and we look forward to our next stay!!

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend and, unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations for a property advertised as five-star. In reality, the service and facilities are more in line with a three-star hotel.
We paid $600 for one night in a villa that, upon arrival, did not have a functioning door lock. I reported the issue and was told it had been fixed. However, when I returned to the villa, the lock was still not working. I spent nearly an hour on the phone asking to be moved to another villa, which was eventually arranged.
Overall, the service was basic, and the staff lacked the training you would expect from a hotel in this category. Despite expressing my concerns, there was little interest or accountability from the team, and no manager ever came forward to address the situation.
I would not recommend this hotel, especially considering the price point and the expectations that come with a five-star rating.

Stayed here with dear friends to celebrate our birthdays and all 6 of us were blown away by the beauty of it All! Even though it rained the the entire time it never deterred us from enjoying everthing the valle has to offer. The staff here are so kind and accommodating. The rooms are gorgeous and delux and the entire grounds are spectacular! Highly recommend and we will all be back to enjoy it in the warmer months ahead! 😀

The property is nice but the concept is poorly executed. They recently opened so they are getting some leeway for that in my review, but the customer service experience and staff is average, considering this is by far one of the more expensive hotels in the Valle area. For example, I raised some of my concerns with the hotel directly following my stay, and someone from their team reached out to apologize and offer a weekend stay for free so that I could give them another try. However the coupon never arrived and after reaching back out to them to follow up they simply stopped responding. During the stay, some of the issues were: many hotels areas and room amenities were in maintenance and couldn’t be used, including the common pool area. The rooms were not serviced even after specifically asking for it. Breakfast could have been better considering price. We and other guests had to light the common area fireplace (and maintain it) because the staff couldn’t figure out how. And others.

Avoid it until they get some experience
This hotel is not ready to receive guests: its brand new and the staff has no idea how to provide good service. The villas are spectacular but they are far from the hotel, from the parking, from the pool so you need the cart service, which it may take 15-20minutes on average. Food is average at best, room service needed to call 3 times and it took 90 minutes. And to top it, no water on sunday morning when we needed to shower and check out…and btw, never an apology. Avoid it until they get some trained staff and figure out the transportation.

Hola la verdad encontré varios puntos que no me gustaron para la calidad de Banyan Tree
1.- subí a cenar y nos encontramos con un menú con muy poca variedad y lo más frustrante es que de los 13 platillos entre entradas , ensaladas y platos fuertes resulta que no tenía ingredientes para preparar por lo menos 4 y decidí irme a cenar fuera del hotel
2.-en la habitación no contaban con pantuflas y las tuve que pedir
3.-cuando regresamos la cortesía ya estaba hecha y bastante agradable con una esencia muy bien la habitación pero no dejaron toallas limpias y por lo menos 4 después de que ya habíamos usado las 2 que nos dejaron
4.-también tomamos unas cervezas en la tarde antes de irnos a cenar y tampoco se llevaron las botellas y el recipiente donde nos la llevaron
5.- fuimos en la mañana a las albercas generales y el lugar es realmente espectacular pero no hay forma de meterse al agua ya que estaba helada y sin duda para la marca Banyan Tree es algo ir no debería de suceder porque perdió todo el encanto
6.- por otro lado tanto en la alberca de la habitación todo muy bien con la temperatura y en las albercas generales ,la calidad de las toallas deja mucho que desear muy rasposas y todos los perímetros de la mismas muy desgastadas como si tuvieran 5 años
6.- también en las albercas generales el snack bar no tenía servicio y tuve que pedir al bar principal
