Being a solo traveller I booked the cheapest room, I got room 8, and it was noisy! I didn't realise that being solo meant I wasn't allowed peace and quiet.

The room shared a wall with the entrance and cafe - which meant being woken up from 5 am onwards from staff arriving, coffee being made, and furniture being moved.

They did move me to a nicer room after I complained - but both rooms smelled of mold and facilities needed an update.

Shower was out of hot water by the evenings. Then the live music on Weds nights, super loud, people singing Sweet Caroline at the top of their lung. Bizarre for a yoga place, and reminded me how much I hate pub cover bands.

The location is tough too, up such as steep hill that its unwalkable. You must use their shuttle, so there goes carefree holiday vibes.

Lastly, you pay, pay and pay. You pay for the room which isn't cheap, you pay for the the food, drinks, classes and tours - and it's all very expensive. Ouch.

On the last evening I was there I got a text saying they had found stains on my towels and may charge me if they can't get them out. It was light coffee and basic make up, very washable. I'd never had this type of warning from a hotel before for such a minor thing. After that text I was wondering if I should shower or touch anything at the risk of getting extra charges.

The staff, once I complained about things were lovely and professional, but why couldn't they see these issues BEFORE I had to complain about them.

CC\"s Hideaway is one of the best properties/resorts that I have ever stayed at. The view, the staff, and the food are phenomenal. I also loved the pool, the hotel shuttle, and how great the hotel room was! I WILL go back because I loved it so much!

The location is far from ideal, you’re really dependent on the shuttle service that only runs once every hour. The weight of my rating is around service, where I wanted to take with me a piece of fruit I grabbed at breakfast and my free water in the room. They wanted to charge me for both items, saying I cannot take a glass bottle because they have to return it and that I cannot eat fruit outside of breakfast hours for free. This was a first for me, despite traveling to other hotels all throughout Thailand. It’s less about the cost of buying these items on my own and more about the lack of empathy from people in the service industry.

For me to post a negative review means something since I’m not active with reviews :)

Nice rooms. Difficult to get anywhere else.

The hotel itself is great - lovely rooms with nice pool and activities available. The staff are friendly and the yoga instructors are good. Unfortunately the shuttle service is a mess, making it very hard to explore the local area. Taxis refuse to go there as well because of the hill. The food and drinks are considerably overpriced. We had a transfer to the bus station arranged after our stay and they took us to the wrong station (insisting it was the right one despite our protestations) which causes significant delays in getting to our next destination. If you want to stay at your hotel all day and just use the pool this is the place for you. If you want to explore or even just go out to eat it is not easy to do from here.

**THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO STAY IN PHUKET** I would 100% recommend CC's Hideaway to anyone! We stayed 4 days and 3 nights. The room and facilities were absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. I loved that CC's was tucked away in the hills - it felt more intimate and the views were incredible. It's also extremely close to the trailhead up to Big Bhudda. We hiked it twice during our stay! Even though it was farther away from the main attractions of Karon and Kata, they provide free shuttle service to a lot of different points in town. That was very convenient.
The very best part about CC's was the incredibly kind and helpful staff. We had a lot of unique travel accommodations that needed to be made, and they handled them with ease. I will not think twice about staying at CC's again when we come back to Phuket.

definitely won't visit again, not worth it

Hotel staff are not friendly at all. My family did not feel welcome. Inconvenient location as it's at the top of the hill - have to wait for the shuttle bus to get around. Check in was very slow as they made a copy of everything. Definitely not a 4 star accommodation - more like a 3 star hotel. Not worth the price and if you are looking for a hotel that is accessible, do not choose this one. Also the lighting in the room is very very very dark. Not enough places to put my stuff after i unpack. Table is very small, there is no couch.

Only for those who are planning for a retreat in the boutique hotel, if you’re looking at shopping or exploring phuket, this location can be extremely inconvenient for you. Not near the beaches but free shuttle bus do drop at the beaches. Take note of the hourly shuttle service or risk having to wait for an extra hours if you miss the timings.

Small hotel set on a hillside behind Karon Town. Positives are the lovely friendly staff, the clean and comfortable rooms, and the extra touches like cookies in the room. Negatives are the distance and the need to rely on a shuttle van to take you down the hill to and from various points on the beaches and town, and the \"compulsory\" Christmas Eve dinner costing 1500 THB per person - a practice which apparently is quite common in the hotels in this area but ought to be discretionary. Overall we had a great experience at this property mainly due to the nice staff but the compulsory nature of the dinner left a bad taste and we would never come back over the holiday season.

Good hotel, excellent staff

CCs was a very enjoyable experience. I did the yoga retreat for 4 days and loved it. The hotel is good but what makes the experience is the yoga teachers, the staff, the food and the excursions. I have done a few other tours in Thailand but none as good as the CCs. The staff are so friendly and make you feel like you are at home while there. Very accomodating and would def return

Very nice and comfortable place with a good seaview.
Friendly staff and helpful even with very late at night arrival.
Only complaint would be that its very far from the airport, but my fault I guess for not checking.
And very far from the beach and town, but they do have a free shuttle bus.
Good food in the restaurant and nice pool

Really wonderful yoga retreat

I very much enjoyed my stay at CC's Hideaway. I booked 4 days of their yoga retreat program. The yoga instructors are knowledgeable and they walk around studio to help instruct you during the lesson. The yoga program also includes fun daily activities off property site. The food at CC's is delicious and the staff are personable, friendly, and helpful.

Staff try hard, but Phuket is just not great

Unfortunately, this hotel, like all of Phuket, stinks of sewage and sulfur. The hotel is clean, but the bathrooms smell bad. Also, the air conditioner was not great and did not sufficiently cool the room, and the wifi was poor. The pool was nice, and the shuttle service was necessary, and good. Take the shuttle to Kata Noi, a beautiful beach and avoid the others which are overrun and not very nice.

This is a nice hotel with a small swimming pool, nice restaurant, good selection for breakfast, comfotable rooms with contemporary bathrooms, and a great vuew of the ocean. It is half way up a mountain, so, you need to rely on the hotel’s 4 x 4 to get up there. The minibus fellow just stopped at the the bottom and said he could not get us up there. But, there was someone to pick us up promptly within a minute of the phone call. They also have an hourly shuttle service that does a loop of all the major beaches.

Recommend for yoga and quiet holiday.

A wonderful little heaven place in Phuket. Location is amazing because you're away from the crown and busyness of the tourist locations but also a max of 10 min drive to either Kata or Karon beach. The Swimming pool is small but cute. The restaurant food was the best that I had in entire Phuket. I highly recommend it for yoga lovers, as it offers yoga classes at morning and evening time, the best sunset view over the sea while you do your evening class.
I loved my entire stay there.

If you are a beach lover, then best look elsewhere: the 'Hideaway' is not within walking distance of the beach and you are completely dependent on local transport for getting to and from the sprawl of eateries, pubs and massage parlours that make the beach area so vibrant. Luckily, the hotel provides a reliable drop-off and pick-up service on the hour throughout the day. If you have lots of beach kit, it could be something of a pain during a long day out. We hired a moped from the hotel but, unless you're used to Thai driving habits, you're better off travelling on something less dangerous. The hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. If you don't take the boat tours, there's always jungle trekking, cooking classes (?) and yoga (a hotel speciality). Beyond the beaches, Phuket has little to recommend it but the hotel pool is a nice place to chill with a good book. It's the staff who make the place: full marks to them all.

I stayed for 3 wonderful nights. The food was fantastic with tons of vegetarian options for me. Reception was very helpful arranging an transfers and excursions and even gave me a very generous late check out on my last day so I could shower before a late night flight. I loved the yoga classes too. All in all, I had a really great stay!

Great hideaway in secluded location

I like that the hotel is secluded and it's an interesting place! Love that they provide hourly shuttle bus service that goes to major attractions so it doesn't really bother me that the hotel is on top of the hill. The pool looks nice and the hotel has yoga and interesting stuff which I didn't have time to take part in. The staffs are friendly and nice :)

CC's was unique and cute. Not really super close to much, but a short tuk tuk or taxi drive away from happening kata/karon beaches. The pool had some floaties and ball pit (like from fast food restaurant playgrounds) that made it feel fun and unique. The restaurant had a good selection, but my favorite was the smoothies they offer at the coffee bar! Yum! Booked a tour through the hotel, which was great. My only complaint was the bathroom. The shower head seemed like it was clogged. Sprayed all over, including the ceiling (mold?). The bathroom overall had kind of a funky smell. I also always felt like I needed to wear flip flops in there. But overall, great little \"hideaway.\" So bring your flip flops and stay at CC's! No seriously, its worth it.

Spacious rooms above Kata beach

The hotel motto is \"above it all\", which is true -- it's nicely located above the town so is a quiet location with a nice bit of breeze. The hill up to the hotel can only be described as vicious -- it is walkable but you may want to use the hotel taxi service (hourly for free or at any time for a charge of 120 Baht, about $3).

Really nice and spacious room and a comfortable king-size bed. The restaurant does all the usual Thai favourites. Breakfast is nice too -- there is a buffet with bread, fruit, rice, etc and they will offer you a freshly-made omelette.

POI: The person who arranged my transfer from the airport forgot to put it in the system, resulting in several frantic phone calls upon arrival and a definite feeling of resentment that eventually dissipated. Confirm with them!
The stay was nice overall, but I have to say that I was really disappointed that they could not provide us with 2 single beds for two female friends traveling together. We had a huge king bed and a camp bed, tiny and uncomfortable, to start. Thankfully they replaced the camp bed with a trundle after the second night, but we noticed that they had replaced the King bed in the next room with 2 singles the second night of our stay, so why couldn't they do that for us?
The hotel itself is quirky and fun, definitely meant for the crunchy yoga crowd, and located high up a very steep hill so accessing it by foot is very difficult. Luckily they have a free shuttle truck that drops off in popular spots in the area. You really need a functioning phone to get in touch for pickup, though, as it's not a straightforward process.
The food from the restaurant was very good but quite pricey, but I guess that's what you get when you have trained chefs working in the kitchen.
We arrived on Christmas Eve and took part in their Christmas Eve buffet and entertainment, and we were certainly entertained!
Overall I didn't like Phuket as much as I liked Samui so I probably won't go back, but if you want a nice place to stay in the Kata/Karon area, this is a good choice.

Staff was wonderful but the hotel is up a secluded hill which was not too convenient . Hourly free shuttle was offered but still a hassle. Promises was clean but definitely not a 4-5* resort type. Recommend for people who are into yoga, detox retreat or a quiet get away not looking for excitement this would be your place.

A hidden GEM!

This small resort is tucked away in the hills away from everything. They offer shuttle every hour on the hour to the popular beaches close by and pick up as well. The food here is absolutely DELICIOUS!!

I am so disappointed I missed the Big Buddha tour however I was able to go on the 4 Waters Eco Adventure which is only on Thursdays. Nuya leads the tour and she is absolutely amazing. It was a small group with 6 of us from the hotel. I highly recommend this tour. It's a FULL day and you will not be disappointed. Make sure you bring water shoes for the hike up the waterfall and maybe two changes of clothes. We all took pictures and shared with each other at the end of the day unlike bigger tour companies which charge you for pictures.

I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to get away from the chaos. I actually went to Patong just to check it out and so glad I did not stay there. This hotel is small and intimate. It's a quiet hotel with solo travelers and couples from what I see. I feel safe here as a solo traveler.

From arrival to departure staff couldn't do enough for us- friendly, helpful & hardworking. Food was great (lots of vegan/ veggie options)- poolside room was ideal also. Quiet tranquil location with a shuttle to beach on request. No request was too much- pefect for single traveller, couples or young families that don't want to be in a noisy environment.

It is a beautiful hotel and caring people attend to your needs. The restaurant is fair priced and has a wide range of foods that are absolutely delicious. The chef really knows what she is doing! The manager Ken makes sure that things are attended to and all in all it was a wonderful place to stay and will again if in that area of the world!

Loved CC's Hideaway! As a woman traveling solo I was happy to see several other women staying there alone. I felt very safe and was well taken care of the entire time. As an English speaker, it was easy to communicate with all staff. Their on-site amenities (yoga, Eco-adventures, massages, etc) were all top-notch.

I stayed here for almost a month and loved it! It was extremely comfortable and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was amazing as well. Full breakfast buffet every morning that had a variety of delicious options. Many menu items for lunch and dinner that always satisfied my palate. The first week I arrived was the yoga retreat and I was continually impressed by the extra activities that were included. The activities ranged from yoga to kayaking to hiking and all of that was complicated by the temples and animals we saw along the way. The rest of the time I was at the hotel I was able to use the beautiful rooftop yoga studio to do my own yoga practice or I could do the drop in yoga which was offered twice a day. The hotel is located up a hill from Kata beach, a hilltop sanctuary. Free shuttles go down to the beaches on the hour and is very reliable and convenient. All in all my experience here has been lovely and I always felt well taken care of by the staff.

Good relaxing hillside hotel located near kata beach

Stayed 3 nights, relaxing stay, quiet neighborhood, good room size and bedding. Pool not much privacy as it is surrounded with rows of pool side rooms. Distance between pool and pool rooms is small making the place rather crowded. It gets worse with boisterous kids playing at the pool. I think the space for the bar, pool and reception is too crowded for a peaceful atmosphere . Other than that, no complaints at all. Also I think the hotel should be rated 3 stars only given the facilities it had.

incredible experience

I've never met a kinder group of people than the staff at CC's. They gave full attention to every conversation, question, or request. My daughter and I felt comfortable in the communal spaces. While it is family-friendly, the ambiance is also appealing for the adult couples/singles scene. Health and wellness is the focus of all recommended and hotel-sponsored tours and events. Yoga classes were excellent! Phuket is quite popular among tourists, but staying at CC's does indeed allow you to \"hideaway\" somewhat. Hotel shuttle is handy and reliable, allowing you to access the more popular spots as needed.

'Ocean view' room not worth the money

We paid extra for an ocean view room, but it is certainly not worth the extra money. The hotel is situated away from the beach but a free shuttle service more than makes up for this.
The hotel building is dated, but the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Amazing staff, always smiling, doing their best to help. Nice hotel for a cheaper price,than most in the area. Loved the privacy of the standard room. The bed was huge and very comfortable.For a medium standard hotel you get more than you pay for, and I would definetly stay here again. However, the hitel is located on top of a hill, and you ate reliant on some sort of transport. We rented a motorbike, otherwise the hotel has a shuttle service.

Away from the hustle and bustle.

Not what I expected initially. Turned out to be a really enjoyable experience. Staff great and free shuttle transport good way to get around. Very pleasant stay.

Great hotel, excellent breakfast but AC not good

On top of the hill (which is actually quite steep to climb), this hotel looks great, very nice colors, great paints in the rooms which changes from the usual insipid and emotionally correct pictures. I really liked it.
Room are decent size although not very big.
Breakfast are awesome, continental and american with pork, chicken, potatoes, tomatoes, all cooked with taste and differently from one day to another. I really liked it and it hold until the evening.

The ONLY cons is the AC, the room key is the trigger to make it work so when you come back after a day, the room is quite hot and the AC unit too small to handle quickly so it takes about an hour to have an acceptable coolness. I talked to the manager and, for 200 baht daily, he agreed to let the AC on while I am out.
So I would recommend this additional fee.

Absolutely loved this hotel!

I originally booked for 1 week and ended up staying close to 3. This is a great little boutique hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. I loved the yoga classes, the food at the restaurant was amazing and it was a nice an relaxing place to just lay by the pool. Easy to get around using the free shuttle service. I would happily go back again! I was traveling as a solo female traveler and felt very safe here and also managed to make a few friends in the common areas.

Secluded holiday gem

If clean rooms, friendly staff, eco-tours from the hotel lobby, FREE beach shuttle/pick up and doing yoga at sun-rise/set are important to you then there really isn't another choice.

I didn't mention the vegan menu or the scooter rentals.

Karon is a central location that is close to beaches, Thai boxing in Patong and temples galore. C.C.'s gives a base of operations to fill up as much or little of your time in Thailand. The prices are reasonable and the quality you get in return is top notch.

Nuya who does a lot of the yoga and Eco-tours gives a friendly, local touch to a country that was our first time visiting.

The beds are good, pillows fluffy and rooms always clean.

Can't recommend it enough.

Glorious stay!

My visit to CC's hideaway was lovely! The hotel had a relaxing vibe with specular views. The food and alcoholic beverages at the hotel were delicious and well priced. The staff did have some difficulty understanding my Australian accent at times, but that's understandable. I would've loved to stay longer and recommend this place for sure! Next time I would rent a scooter to allow more travel flexibility...next time hopefully!

This proved to be a very enjoyable two weeks. a very quiet, and discrete hotel tucked away on the side of a hill. The food was very good, the service was excellent and the room very clean. Fantastic views from my balcony.

Great stay for a couple night in Phuket!

Hotel was very nice with great views. We used the pool, bar area, and shuttle service into town. Staff was very nice and accommodating. For the price, we were very happy.

Perfect Downtime Pool

We used it as a home base for an extended stay. The central pool was perfect for relaxing mornings and the free shuttles gave us access to all of Kata and surrounding areas when we wanted to go out.

The manager really went above and beyond to help us resolve a sticky situation with some missing travel documents. They were very helpful booking several day trips, transfers, and activities. The Wifi was good and available in the room.

Great place to stay. Far enough away from the town to be quiet but regular shuttle provided free by hotel with a 10 min ride to town. Staff excellent and super efficient. Clean and well looked after. Met the owners who were over and all kind and obliging. I would recommend this to anyone. Thank you all for a great stay.

amazing value, glorious stay

What an amazing spot. By far our favorite hotel of the three islands we stayed on in Thailand. The staff here is so sweet and helpful, we also enjoyed the company of Tao the resort cat. The room was spotless and cush. We also had wonderful included breakfast and restaurant food. Did many wonderful yoga classes and enjoyed a movie night as well as the free shuttle into town.

Not the last time we will stay at CC's Hideaway

The stay was one of the best experiences we have had at any hotel. The staff were friendly and very courteous. They arranged all of our day trips for us. They have 7 different shuttle stops. So you could go into town for the beach or meals or shopping. The manger made sure all the people at the hotel were happy and gave personal attention to any minor problems or concerns anyone had.

Nice quiet hotel

The hotel was away from the busy town so it was pretty quiet. Since it was up on a hill there was an hourly shuttle that was a little difficult to schedule around but my wife and I didn't mind waiting. The staff was really nice, and the driver who picked us up from the airport, Bao, was awesome! He was super friendly and we even asked for him personally to give us a tour of the city one day. He was a great tour guide and he made the stay at CC's an experience we will never forget.

Location not walking distance to much of anything, away from hustle and bustle, BUT free hotel shuttle (& pick-up) to Kata etc every hour. The view is great. NO hotel shuttle to airport even though Hotels.com said there was. This was disappointing being that we booked depending on that alone. Think CC's could have stayed on top of that, thus not great rating for service, but good for sure.

Fantastic place

Of the five places we stayed during our 3 week vacation in Thailand, CC's was our favorite by far. The place was in a beautiful setting in the forest, with a great view of the water. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I loved the open air design of the resort. As noted in other reviews, CC's is not near the beaches, but free transportation is provided to/from area beaches to compensate for this. In tradeoff, you are on the side of a mountain with a fantastic view and much cooler air and breezes. Staff there made you feel like family!

Nice hotel on hill

Booked 1 night through expedia and stayed several more. The hotel is on the hill behind Kata/Karon beaches - too far to walk to beach but the hotel provides hourly drop off to several locations at Kata or Karon beach and picks up at arranged times (10 am- 10 pm). Really helpful staff and nice pool. Nice breakfast and food at restaurant. Hit a great rate dusting off season. Room is compact but very nice and met all our needs. Brick paving of pool surrounds a bit dirty but think this is being replaced as they were pulling them up on the day we left.

Nice appearance on the outside.

The folks here are nice, but the facilities are not up to standards. My phone didn't work, the shelf in my bathroom was broken, flies and other wildlife could get into the room due to the 1 inch gap between my door and the floor.

Fruit was not as good as I had in the south. The thai people in this part of the country speak less English, so it was difficult to communicate.

One of the best places in the area ,staff were unbelievable ,they helped when ever they could did more than was expected , the owners are also great people I was lucky enough to meet them since they were over for a short work holiday , there courtesy van ran every hour from 9 am till 11 pm drop and picked up ,when ever you get cocktails there just get the local spirits they are the same and a lot cheaper ,for 3 days there it was awesome ,I even went out with a few of the staff and they showed me the best Thai night out ,everyone one there were brilliant

Nice hotel with great hillside location

The hotel overall is clean, tidy and an attractive property. The staff are friendly and helpful despite some communication barriers at times. The rooms are a good size but don't have enough storage space for clothes/suitcases. The showers could also do with being upgraded to thermostatic ones as the water temperature fluctuates massively (luckily the shower area is large enough to run away from very hot water if needed). We only ate at the restaurant once during our stay and the food is ok but almost all other restaurants we tried in the area seem to produce better thai curies (and cheaper). During our stay we raised a noise complaint due to some building work we weren't warned about and the hotel manager was more than accommodating :-) As a room tip ask for a room on the left side of the hotel away from the neighboring roosters. I would recommend this hotel as a quiet base to get out and explore Phuket from.
