The property is exactly like the name says THE VIEW. when booking this on Expedia it states location to beach - 10 mins walking, kata night market 10 min walk Karon beach 17 min walk. Etc. The fact is you cannot reach any of these times even driving. It’s located on a cliff that is literally a 75-80% slope. Local taxis refuse to go up it. Walking up takes 10-15 minutes. So we were forced to rent a car as there isn’t a thing close to it. We were there at 1:00 and were advised the room would be ready the day before for that time, we sat there till 4:30 to get a dirty room. No soap, no detergent etc. ( we’ve always got a small package everywhere we’ve rented). Also after we rented it through Expedia and paying for it upfront we got a message from the manager 2 days before checking in that there will be a $$$ charge for cleaning which wasn’t in the add at time of booking online. Lastly when we were checking in they also threw at us that we have to pay for electricity over and above on check out( not in description). We tried to cancel the whole reservation when we arrived with all of these inconveniences and extras but they wouldn’t refund a dollar. The pool is spectacular but only 8-10 loungers so we never used it. The view is second to none. Please know what you are in for before renting.

The hotel is nice and has beautiful views, but an important detail is not mentioned online: it is located on a very high cliff with a long, steep walk to reach it. Taxis from the street usually refuse to go up because of how steep it is.

During heavy rain, the hotel could not arrange transportation down the cliff, even when we offered to pay. This made it very difficult to eat or move around, so we cancelled our last night and changed hotels.

At the beginning, the staff were helpful, but after we raised concerns, their attitude changed. When I asked for a taxi to the airport, I was told to pay first before they even ordered the taxi, which felt rude and unprofessional.

The hotel itself is nice, but the location and lack of support, especially in bad weather, were very disappointing.

Nice condos and clean. They do charge a cleaning fee, and they charge for electricity based on the meter reading. The restaurant was convenient, but it closes at 6 pm. The office isn't always staffed when it says it is. The driveway up to the property is a very steep hill that 6 active people in their twenties dreaded walking up every single time. Overall, I would recommend as long as you know these details that we were unaware of when we booked

Overall great experience and property. The only thing is location. It’s quite high up and many grab drivers refused to go up the hill forcing you to walk up or down. Not the best experience. They do have a shuttle bus/car to drive you nearby but only till 6pm.

Epic view from the 3 bedroom pool villa, trade off was the extremely steep access - 99% of people would not be able to walk up. Would’ve been a superb resort when new, but the villa I booked was definitely behind in maintenance. I did enjoy my stay but it was heavily discounted. I would not have been happy with the condition had I paid full price.

They have a courtesy truck but it only goes twice a day so not very convenient.a great concept but the finish is ordinary. Balcony slopes away from drain. No ceiling fan so very hot or noisy aircon. Very few occupants so pool services not reliable. You need your own transport.

As a whole our stay was good. We enjoyed using the gym facilities and felt our condo was very private and quiet. We also felt the price paid for the accommodation was good value for money.

However, I wouldn’t recommend staying at The View due to its location.

The View is located on top of a very steep hill - the gradient is almost completely vertical - making walking up and down it very dangerous. Individuals who are disabled or who have young children with prams etc. should avoid the property.

In addition, the electricity and cleaning fee were overpriced for Thailand. Online the property states it offers an airport shuttle but when we enquired about the service we were told they do not offer this. In addition, the bar/restaurant closes at 1830 which is inconvenient, especially due to the property’s location.

The hill going up is steep. If you plan to walk to the beach and back, be aware you will be going up the same steep driveway as the cars. The property is good for those that like the solitude of having a home away from home at the bare minimum. Paying for the electricity is fine, but it is a bit steep in pricing. Using the agrab app for getting food delivery etc is wonderful though. Please note, while some tours do pick you up, some will not drive up the slope, as their car is unable to make it. You will need to meet them at the bottom or elsewhere.

This stay was phenomenal. The villa is incredible and has an unreal view of the city. The staff is lovely, and the amenities are great. My only feedback would be paying for electricity - a bit ridiculous and expensive, be aware. Other than that, wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you for a lovely stay!

A beautifully designed property which fell short of expectations. Staff were difficult to deal with at times. Parking for my rental motorbike was limited to a tiny areas where all the other motorbikes are herded into a small area, resulting of course in incidental damage to all of them. I parked in another area where there were staff motorbikes, including those contraptions with sidecars, and they booted me (locked the cycle). I am NOT a fan of this hypocrisy where staff make things easy on themselves and have a double standard for others, as the place I parked would in no way interfere with anyone. Staff answer the phones only rarely if you need to call them. This caused us problems on 3 occasions. Gym is dysfunctional. One of the AC units in my condo was dysfunctional. The furniture was cheap and unacceptable. No trash cans were provided... only 2 tiny waste paper baskets which overflowed after just one meal, requiring us to take our trash up flights of stairs. The hill coming to the facility is steeper than any I've ever seen in my life. Not an issue, except when you book a van, which may sometimes refuse to come up there, as they bottom out on the paving. The price they charge for electricity is confiscatory. I practiced care in using the electricity but was still given a ridiculously high bill, the exact figure of which can't be quoted here because of expedia regs. Ditto cleaning fee. I'd never go again.

The property has a great scenic view, but that is as far as I would say was great about this place. Our encounter was horrible we checked into a Villa that had cockroaches, extremely dirty mattresses, dirty sheets, and a not so clean living space. We arrived late night and complained immediately about the issues but since the cleaning crew was done for the evening we made the best of it and received new blankets for the night. The issues were supposed to be solved the next day but only the mattress was addressed. After a subpar make believe cleaning service, we still had the same dead cockroaches , and dirty living space. We once again complained to management to no avail. The only reason why we didn’t checked out of the Property was due to the fact that every property we contacted and considered was booked for the week. This was an extremely disappointed experience.

Me and my family had a wonderful time in Phuket The View. The rooms were amazing, the pool was awesome and my daughter had the best moments of her life. It’s a condo so don’t expect super fast hotel service but overall MR Sunny And Miss Milk was very helpful. As it is Thailand the staff they are very respectful and friendly. I have nothing to complain about and if in the near future I visit Phuket again I would love to stay at the view again. Thank you

We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa for 4 nights in December. The view from the room and pool area was phenomenal! Room was nice and clean, they had a washer/dryer which was handy. Breakfast was ok, nothing wow about it. The only thing I would say is, if you or someone with you has mobility issues, please don’t book this place as it’s up a very steep hill. They do have a shuttle which brings you up and down to the Main Street but sometimes they can be late. But overall, we had a wonderful experience and would love to go back there again. :)

Very friendly and helpful staffs, they can arrange for shuttle to and from airport (with a fee) and free shuttle around the 2 beach area around the hotel, which is very convenient! However you do need to call the hotel to arrange for a pick up from the town so be sure to have a SIM card with you.

Amazing views from the hotel pool and our own patio, stunningly beautiful 180 degree ocean view!

We find little bugs (mostly caterpillars, nothing dirty or gross) in our room everyday, and sometimes the table at the pool restaurant wasn’t wiped clean at breakfast. But the room is clean and very nice in general.

Well located and a pleasing design. The furnishings and fittings were adequate. The staff were, without exception outstanding and super responsive to immediately fixing any niggles.
The communal pool area was probably not large enough to cope when busy, but the staff compensated enormously with the service provided.
We hired our apt at a 50% discount which was about the right price compared to similar properties; overpriced at full asking price.

Wonderful view for sunset and good service. The supplies are satisfying for everything. The nice room feel comfortable. The water come out from the shower is good. But the pool bar provides the same breakfast everyday. It’s better for providing more facilities other than gym room. The button of the jacuzzi was broken and out of order for one side. It’s worth to book again.

We only knew about the upgrading through a letter when we came back to hotel the night before. Fantastic modern facility which staff were all very friendly and helpful and the view as per it's name \"outstanding\". Recommend any one to stay their except those who don't like walking up stairs. Being lodged half way up a mountain to secure those brilliant views means you have to have access which means stairs. They were not a problem for my wife and I but may be for the elderly.

The view of Phuket is beautiful from The View!

When my friends got there, they had to have our room cleaned as the sheets weren’t clean and there was rust in the shower. They immediately came and rectified that issue. Other than that, the room was great. The hill from the street to the hotel is NO JOKE. We walked up it just so we can say we conquered it... we were sweating profusely when we got to the top. Milk arranged it for us to have a private chef on New Year’s Eve and that was an awesome experience. It came out to be cheaper than if we would have gone to a restaurant. Everyone was really nice and accommodating. The breakfast was “ok” and could have been much better, but it is what it is... All in all, a good time was had!

Have a huge slope from main road to Villa entrance

Have a huge slopes upward from main road to Villa entrance. Villa did provided shuttle bus come down to pick up but need to call reception to book it. We reach the main road on 830pm and called many times till 910pm but no one answer our calls. In the end we need to climb up by ourselves. It was very dark, scary and tired. When we reached Villa, find out that the receptionist was chatting with their staff outside their office.
They seems like very friendly & helpful but when you ask about where can get a good and reasonable price for activities like Canoeing/ Elephant trekking/ ATV ride, they will bring you go to a quite far place to buy the very expensive activities package which you can find the very cheap package(less than half price & more activities) near the main road.

Excellent view, top of the hill. It is not easy to climp up or down. However, the staff are very helpfull to provide a lift to the beaches and back to the hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly and do their best to help you, Milk was great!

The accommodation was well maintained and place was quiet for me to relax and recharge. The beach was easily accessible through the shuttle. Night market was within walking distance for us to pack meals. The steep slope leading to the villa was very challenging but the free shuttle service was good. Overall, my family had a very enjoyable getaway at the villa.

A nice place with a view

This was an amazing place. Great view and close to the beach, shopping, and restaurant.
We have been living in Krabi, Ao Nang, Rawai, Bangkok, Kamala but this place had exactly what we were looking for. A lot of tourists, but we got nice service and the area was very clean. We will return.

Beautiful sunset view! Staff was very accomodating. Room was clean. We had a very enjoyable stay in The View! It is far from the beach. But there’s a shuttle available for guests to use pretty much any time. The shuttle can take guests to Kata Beach and Karon Beach. We would definitely book here again.

I cannot say enough about this hotel, really. Let me start off by saying that all of the review about \"the hill is too steep and no one will drive up it\" are wrong. Book a taxi through the hotel and there is no problem, or better yet, do what we did and rent motorbikes (that can be done through the hotel too). The pictures of this place do not do it justice. We had the 3br VIP rooms, which were listed at the time at 50% off (Around $400 USD) which was a steal. I went with 2 couples (including myself and gf) so it broke down to 200$ a night per couple, which again was a great price!! I know it is Thailand, but I always finding myself comparing room prices to what I would pay in the states, and in the states this room would easily cost a grand a night. Then entire living room wall opens up, it has a full kitchen, a personal pool and a personal Jacuzzi, walk in rain showers (Which is a MUST for ANY place that I stay) and the location is close to Kata and Karon beach. Patong (for nightlife) is a bit of a hike (20 min drive) but rent a taxi, get the guys number and call him when you are ready to leave (if you want to party / drink). I overbooked for 1 night and asked for a refund, which they couldn't provide me with but credited me a night for when I return, which I will do. This place is amazing, if the price is right when you are going to visit, you MUST stay here!!

Best view in Phuket

Beautiful view, well worth the price. Maintenance of facilities and operations was not fully there, but the view made it worthwhile. The hill is pretty steep, and takes about 20 min to walk slowly up - it is nearly a 60 degree incline. There is a shuttle available to take you to Kata town and the beach, so it is not that bad.

Yes definitely on a steep hill but it wasnt as bad as expected. (difficult but climbable)

Overall, my family and I loved our stay at the View Phuket. We enjoyed the view, swimming pool, jacuzzi, terrace, room servie and so many other things. The staff members were very very nice and were always willing to help!

If anyone is worried about the hill, i would say that the ocean view is absolutely amazing so it is worth climbing up. :)

Great views of karon and kata beach.

The View is an amazing collection of luxury condos. The only thing they could improve is installing a phone at the bottom of their massive and steep hill so you can call for the shuttle bus to haul you up. I thought my wife was going to die every time we climbed it. If you plan on walking to kata prepare yourself for the craziest hill of your life to climb in order to make it back to the hotel. Other than that is nearly perfect. Thanks for a great stay.
