Housekeeper did a great job every day. Parking was good and area was supervised. Room was a good size with lots of storage space if you were staying for a longer period of time, say, for a month. TV channels are very limited in English. There used to be a shortcut to the beach which is now blocked, so it is about a 1 km walk unless you can get the shuttle. Overall, some parts of the building could do with a revamp.

The pictures we seen on our booking are not what the hotel really look like there is construction everywhere and it’s very difficult to get sleep with all the noise. Also the language. Barrier is very bad. They should have someone who can speak English. I can send pictures if you would like

Unable to sleep because of noise. The rooms are positioned around a main gathering area. Music until about 9:30pm and then people stayed well past midnight. The people were not really that loud but i feel the rooms were so poorly designed to not block any noise you could hear them regardless.
Shower was also very bad. Very hot or very cold were your options.

Our stay was comfortable and convenient. Staff was nice and they allowed us to check in early which was great. But please note there is a long walk through the city in order to reach the beach. This is not a beachfront resort at all.

Was disappointed that our grand deluxe room did not have the nice balcony represented in the pictures. When asked the staff they said those are for rooms on the other side of the building, not the side you got. The large room was nice but the real appeal to a grand deluxe was a nice big balcony with lounge chairs especially since pool is really busy and pool area didn’t look clean.

As with all other reviews the cash deposit is strange. We got it all back but you have to wait durng check out for someone to go check your room. All over Thailand and this is the one hotel that we saw so this.

Staff - as across Thailand are lovely! Could not be kinder or more helpful.
Sadly, our party of 5 found the breakfast of poor quality and taste.
There is massive villa complex being constructed right next door so expect noise.
The hotel, whilst the rooms are sound proof, the building is not - I could hear cutlery noise at one point and always loud people talking.
We had a grand deluxe balcony room, yet there was absolutely nowhere to put two suitcases, bad design.
Location is good and onsite parking is helpful.
Hotel is precious of towels and keeps cound of jow many you have and is very strict about charging for any marks or damage to hotels, so there must have been issues in the past.

The room was dirty. Disgusting stains on the lounge. Sliding doors broken. Room did not look anything as described. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Bugs in the room. Linens were not clean. Buffet breakfast was a disgrace, not a buffet at all, and definitely don’t cater for dietary requirements. They offered an upgrade, but after that experience we decided to leave as the hotel was terrible straight away. No refund was given and would not recommend staying there.

This place was one of the best places we have stayed in all of Thailand.
The staff were great, the pool was excellent, which the kids loves.
We got an upgrade, which was a pleasant surprise for our family of 5.
Whilst not directly property related, the construction next door can be nosiy and some of the guest from Russia can be very rude to staff and other guest.
I would stay again

Really couldn’t fault this hotel for location, comfort and friendliness of staff. Good selection for breakfast each day and great value food choices at the nearby Kata Walking Street Market. Also plenty of restaurants nearby. We did find some small hidden gem places to eat too.
We were a family of 5 and no complaints.

The location was great - easy walk to the beach and to the Kata market. The air cons were well needed and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
We didn't like the main pool being closed (this was not communicated beforehand), the constant tapping sound assocoated with pool maintenance almost drove us crazy, the disappointment of finding out breakfast wasn't included despite my wife and I both believing we purchased the option at the time of booking. If views are important be specific about room selection otherwise you will be looking out over a rubbish covered empty block like we had to endure.

And with free hotel shuttle. Approx 20 mins from Phuket main banglar walking market.
Hotel is surrounded by sister hotels on same small grounds so you have access to 4 swimming pools. Happy hour moves about and is in different pool bars at different times! Infinity pool is on roof of hotel next door.
Pools are clean and nice. Rooms spacious with full kitchenettes. Beds quite hard!
Bathrooms modern.
Great value accommodation for what / where it is. There were 18 of us (5 families travelling)
And the two bed suites were huge with large interconnecting social lounge areas. Near to

All in all don't book this hotel ever again , stayed 6 nights in total .Too noisy , plus there is an empty lot there where at night the frogs keep you entertain with their noise whole night ...literally it was my holiday and i didn't sleep well at all.

Front desk was not accommodating .Had 2 separate bookings asked to stay in the same room. Was told after 2 days of first booking have to bring out everything leave it with front desk. Once the other room become available will move us in . In Phuket its a slow season , i asked if the room could become available that would be great and was told no have to wait to check-in again at the normal check in time. Literally no flexibility at all.

Breakfast was lame , usually i don't write bad reviews but this hotel made the experience soo bad that it has to be said. Same old every single day breakfast .You can't take it to your room if you want to.

Pool the rooftop pool they advertise is facing the empty lot with lots of frogs and need maintaince. .

I seldom make comments about a stay but for this I believe a comments will help.
1. Cleanliness needs improvement esp on hidden area like microwave
2. Breakfast variety is so limited and I wonder how they charge high price during peak.
3. Staff friendliness is def one of the worse I experience in Thailand..
4. Hot water pressure and temperature is horrendous.
But, location is a plus.

Four star hotel run on a shoe string budget no wine glasses in the room or bottle opener only one small one ply toilet roll per day per room only two small bottles of water per day canot recommend. Cannot understand 10 out of 10 positive ratings for this establishment maybe only people that only stay at two star hotels.positives over all good location close to shops and markets and restaurants out side clean modern facilties unfortunately is run like a two star hotel

We had a fantastic time at Grand Kata with our 3 kids aged 8-13. The staff were lovely and helpful. Buffet breakfast was varied and had something for everyone. The pools were clean and not crowded. We had fhe Level 1 pool to ourselves each time we went. We stayed in the 3 bedroom double story and it was spacious, clean, comfortable beds and perfect for the 5 of us. The hotel provided umbrellas in the room. Pool towels, beach towels, bottled water each day.
Location was excellent. Close to restaurants, the Kata night walking market, massages, braids, money exchange were all at the doorstep. The beach was 500m away and an easy walk, however it’s worth the walk to the opposite end of the beach as its a bit nicer to the south.
We would definitely return and recommend to others.

Property unfortunately doesn't have double glassing on the windows so you can hear everything. Cleaning staff doesn't mop the rooms or vacuum them. They use old fashioned booms to sweep the rooms.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay

We had a great stay. Apartment was clean on arrival and could be cleaned daily if we wished. Beds comfortable and rooms spacious, including the bathroom which had a great shower, both by temperature and water pressure. Double glazing helped keep out surrounding noise. The two swimming pools were great, the gym was air conditioned and towels were available for both the pool and the beach free of charge. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Thank you Grand Kata.

We were in the main building with the lobby and we could hear a lot of the street traffic. The room was big and air conditioning worked well. Friendly & very helpful staff. The pool didn’t have much shade and there was limited shady areas around the pool during the afternoon sun. No umbrellas in the pool area as seen in pictures. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Good location to get to walking street market with lots of food & bars and options for massages. I would give this a 3 star overall.

This is a great place for a family to stay for a visit to the Phuket area. Although not right on the beach, Kata is walking distance (10 mins) and there is a free hotel shuttle there and back several times a day. There is also the Kata Street Walking Market directly across the street but far enough down that noise doesn't travel. Perfect for evening eats! We also loved the hotel pool and the breakfast buffet with plenty of Thai and Western options. Would have been nice if they mopped the floors of our hotel room as part of their cleaning, as they got quite sandy and gross. Had to call down to ask for it, but still they only swept it.
Overall a very comfortable stay for our family of 5 in a 2 bedroom family suite!

Great for a nice quick weekend stay. Great to have a private pool at my place to relax after kilometers of walking. Very convenient to big Buddha hike. Kata beach is a good compromise between night life and a calmer area. The hotel isn’t on the beach, but the walk is short. Overall I would visit here again.

We stayed with our 2 nearly teenage girls. We choose this as we didnt have to all stay in the same room. 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom was perfect for us. 10 min walk to beach, 2 mins to kata night market. Staff were great at keeping us informed when there was a flood due to excessive rain (not there fault and although we lost power for over 24 hours, the staff tried everything possible)

We had the 3-bedroom room which was very nice and spacious. Came with balcony, cooker, microwave, fridge and 6 bottles of water daily.

Two downside for me:
1) the view from the room was not great - we were facing a construction site.
2) Breakfast was not great - especially the pastries. croissant was salty and oily, danish tasted hard and stale.

The landscaping and the hotel property building plan is quite good. Though the hotel rooms could be quite a walk away from the lobby and the entrance, we did get rooms that were closer than others, so no complaints there! The luggage transportation services and the house keeping service were quite adequate.
Our room had a great view of the lake, the hills and the coast.
The multiple-layered swimming pools are quite good and quite a few activities one could do with the family. Its quite popular amongst the guests and it can get over crowded easily. The only complaint is that the pools close at around 7:00 pm which is not sufficient for a nice, relaxing wind-down of the day, if one has ventured into day time long outside the hotel during the day. The pool needs to be open until at least 11:00 pm for a place like this, especially if one is paying a 5-star hotel costs.

The breakfast is so-so, though the breakfast sitting areas are excellent, the food and drink choices do not do justice for a 5-star hotel.

Overall, a very good hotel which can strive to be better.
