All good with the resort, location and cleanliness. We found some cockroaches and spiders regularly as the bathroom is somewhat open to the exterior.
Reception and massages staff were great, but unfortunately we cannot say the same from staff working in the restaurant. Basic service, not very keen to offer an excellent one.
Room was ok, comfortable, well located, but didn’t feel very safe as the door lock was broken. On the other hand, the island is amazing and the resort offers good value, so we cannot complain too much. Overall we had a good stay.

We rented one of the two larger cottages directly on the beach and it was really quite wonderful. It provided a nice level of privacy and the view at night in particular, was really a joy.

Bed was very comfortable and although the bathroom was far from luxurious, was large and perfectly suited for a beach cottage.

Air conditioner worked fine.

Breakfast food is limited-pretty much the same choices every day, but it was filling and satisfying.

The people at the front desk were patient and accommodating.

During our stay we walked to several other beach areas on the island and decided that Lipe Beach Resort had one of the best locations in that there was almost always a nice breeze, which moderated the heat.

We would definitely stay here again if we visit Lipe and if it is available (hint, the beach-front cottages seem to rent quickly so it makes sense to plan quite a bit early if you want one of these prime locations).

Lovely little hotel right on Sunrise beach, which in my opinion is the best beach on the island. Had an excellent choice for breakfast & all the food we had was fantastic. A bonus for us was the Bali beds
& sunbeds, although they are not fully out in the sun. This was perfect for us. Our room was basic but it did the job. Would have been nice for a bit more space. We were in the deluxe room 2nd row back from the beach, with a fan. Which was actually great & kept us cool. If we were to come back, I'd upgrade to the rooms at the very front.

The staff were very nice & work very hard & long hours. Overall we had a great stay & would come back. Koh Lipe is a fantastic island with not much to do apart from chill, swim & snorkel. Just what we needed!

Initially, I made the error of booking a room without A/C. I thought I would be okay with the fan and open windows, since the temperatures at night on the beach is usually in 70s. I've slept comfortably at other beach bungalows that were much less expensive with no issues. However, the windows in the room here DO NOT have screens, and there is a sign that says to keep the windows locked at all times, even while in the room, because of theft. This creates a terrible sleep environment. It was too hot, stuffy, and too many mosquitos.

I was able to upgrade to a room with window locks and AC, but I had to pay a rather high upcharge. While this made the stay much more comfortable, overall I'd pass on this resort next time I am in Loh Lipe. I'd opt to just pay slightly more for a true luxury experience.

Breakfast was excellent, the beach and location is unreal and the staff are very nice. The only issue is the theft, lack of screens and issues with the windows. If that somehow got fixed this place would still be overpriced but better. 5/10.

Such an amazing place, cabins were amazing, staff was amazing. I have nothing but great things about this place. Breakfast was great, drinks and food at the elephant restaurant was amazing as well. Definitely book here, you won't regret it. If you want to be by the walking street, its not for you. You have to walk the beach down for about 5 min then cross the resort down an ally to the strip. It was perfect for me, but took a second to find the way.

Messaged Hotels.com the next day which was frustrating due to broken signals, but they refunded me immediately. Paid £40 to upgrade into a fantastic room. Checked out 4 days early.

The rooms are basic but clean, the view is incredible and the beach is perfect!! The breakfast was good, you can select off of a menu rather than the typical buffet which made a nice change

Lipe is an island that’s worth the visit and Lipe Beach Resort has villas with sea view. They have a beautiful hotel but the drawbacks are the plastic amenities on the bathroom, it is heated with electricity but it’s ok (I believe you won’t get an electric shock) and the breakfast is limited and with vouchers.
Basically they give you a voucher for breakfast but just for one item. You can eat an omelette, there’s coffee and juices included (they are packed and not fresh fruit, so it needs a change). If you wish to eat anything else, you must pay extra and they only take cash at check-out.
Lipe is still one of the most virgin places in Thailand, so it is worth the visit and Lipe Beach Resort is a good place to stay. It’s quite a walk to the Main Street but the surroundings have 2 other resorts and a beach bar perfect for the sunset.

Budget rooms small no airconditioning no hot water . Still quiet ok . You can get upgrades to more stylishly accomodation.
Easy walk into town or get a motorcycle taxi ,cheap .
Staff will arrange taxi bike back to ferry terminal .
Overall we enjoyed our stay for 4 nights .

Great place. Beach is amazing with white sand and clear water. There are very limited sun beds available. Only a few for the villa in the first row by the water and a few for the bar. Overall great place and good location. One bad experience was we were asked to leave after spending 3 nights and asking to extend to 4. We were told by the front desk girl everything was fine for the 4th night however at check out time on the 3rd day we were asked to leave rather abruptly.

The chalet is good. Simple and nice. Bed is comfortable. Fridge and shower heater is provided. However the shower heater has mild electricity leakage which I feel is dangerous.

Location: Very near the beach. Clean area and peaceful.
Breakfast selections are limited as my family prefers Halal food. But its OK, at least we have options. Just that walking street is not very near, and we have to take taxi which takes us through a super bumpy muddy road crossing the local village. It costs 50baht per trip per person.

Laundry service: My sister's family had a misunderstanding that the service is free (probably communication breakdown due to language barrier with the short hair reception lady). So both of us sent in our laundry and we weren't even told of the price breakdown when we sent in the laundry. The worst part is the laundry was not even fully dry when we received them back! It's damp and will smell as we need to travel back, which then requires us to rewash them all over again. This is horrible experience. I'm very disappointed with this. Hope you will look into this and provide a better service to your customers.

The hotel is situated at a very quiet part of the beach. Would be nice if you want clean beach away from the hustle. The downside of it would be some walk (acceptable) to the market especially at night time making it more difficult. The room is clean but minimal, relatively not well lit. Staffs are friendly.

Unhappy Stay

I was unhappy with my stay. We stayed two nights. On the first night it was loud with music blasting and people yelling very loudly until at least 2am. This in spite of the hotel having a posted quiet time of 10pm right beside their own bar. This is meant to be a quieter place to stay away from the busier bars on the island. On top of that our fan didn't work and with all the heat you can get on on Lipe we basically suffocated for the night. We complained the next day when the front desk was open and they shrugged and apologized while blaming other guests. I asked to speak to the manager. I was told she would be in at 12 so I came back at noon and she also blamed other guests but to their credit they did replace our fan. That was it. Just told to put up and shut up.
The included breakfast was ok except that the automatic espresso machine you self serve from had the water tubing at the back full of black mold. Rather off putting.
Considering the price of this place, we thought we might be treating ourselves to some luxury, but we were sorely mistaken. Would not go here again.

A bit of construction happening during low season, and there was a mixup with our breakfast vouchers, but it was sorted in the end with pleasantry. The staff were very nice, the room basic with only a fan, but clean and comfy. The hotel restaurant had a great and very cheap menu, with great food and large portions.

Magic hotel at the beach, best ever in Thailand

We were looking for the dream Thailand beach place, kid-friendly as we have an almost 2 years old, and affordable. Our must-have criterias were: at the beach, short walk from room to beach, from beach to bar & snorkelling right at the beach. The hotel was just perfect, it had all this and so much more. Lovely day beds at the beach where you could have breakfast and yummy food and cocktails all day, super good food and great prices, super quick and good service, an island you can swim to in front of the beach, fish coming to you when you got into the water. Lovely sand, plenty of shadow on the beach at all time, great kids shadowy outdoor play area with many toys, stuff super kid friendl, fantastic thai massage at the beach, and super lovely and friend owner (Thai/Dutch) who go out of their way to keep the place spotless, even asking longtails not to pass by the lovely beach so we can enjoy what Koh Lipe was famous for, the deserted island feeling :) When I ventured out of the hotel and beach (it was hard!), I realized this is the best spot of the beach, as it is at the end, it is wider and it is not crowded at all. We had a garden fan only bungalow and it was totally fine end of February.Oh and the hotel helped me arrange a lovely birthday cake for my husband, they were so nice and could arrange on FB Messenger, perfect English speaking.

on the beach, which is lovely, but the accommodation was awful. OK, so it was a basic bungalow with a \"garden view\", and it is far from cheap.
The bungalow was a small, badlly built garden shed, surrounded by other garden sheds with 2 metres in between, the garden view was the back of the shed in front, and corrugated iron sheds behind
No sun on the tiny balcony, only furniture was a bed, a shelf and a small stool. No room for anything else.
No fridge, which is very annoying, and not even a bottle of water supplied.
OK for passing through, but for a holiday one needs a pleasant private space to relax. in. Managed 3 nights then went to the resort next door, where we rented a fabulous bungalow, at twice the price, but 100 times better
To be fair, the lady did re rent our shed for 3 days of the remaining 4, but only gave us 70% of the cash back.
Not a great experience.
PS we had a huge spider which obviously came through one of the many gaps between the wall and the floor.

One of the older \"resorts\" on the island. Very small and basic accomodation with very basic bathrooms. Make sure you book a room with air conditioning! spectacular view and very reasonable price. All in all good value for location and views. If you are looking for luxury maybe look for a newer (more expensive) resort.

Nice location to the Sunrise Beach

the location is great for low season, close to speedboat pier and right on beach front. But the facilities and the room I rent wasn't good at all, it really simple - bed and toilet with cool water shower and they all need to be repaired including windows. The door was repaired on my 1st day! I stayed 4 nights 5 days and no room service at all not even change trash bin, you can't dump any thing in to toilet, it won't flash, so trash bin full of toilet papers! the room fare is really for the view only (see sunrise), not worth for the room (compare to other nearby hotels). During the time I stay, they had construction work right behind me and heard noise from 8 to 4pm plus my neighbor was very loud, good thing there is other things to see or do on the island, the water was the best of the island. I will consider going back to visit the island but may not stay at the same hotel. The staff were friendly, don't expect to see any staff after 7pm. The island has a lot lot of dogs and cats.

This hotel is in front of sunrise beach. Staffs are friendly, service minded. They carry my bag and reject my tips at all incredible. Room is quite cleanness unless there are some mosquito and cockroach but acceptable as resort stated at island. A bit things that should improve are make up room should be completely because maid forget to give water, glasses and remote air con were disappear after make up room. Also, If room have TV, hair dryer, it would be greater good choice to stay absolutely.

Overall it was a nice place but not the greatest value. The service was average but friendly and the bar/restaurant seemed to close whenever it wasn't busy. I highly recommend a room with air-con, regardless of the view. My room was in the 2nd row from the beach and it was big and clean but the lighting was very dark and the shower pressure was weak.

The resort is o.k, most bungalows are very basic, we had to move to the expansive honey moon bungalow for air condition hot water and mini fridge.
Most of the beautiful sun rise side of Lipe is crowded with long tail boats, if you want to enjoy the beach you will need to walk !

I had a great experience in the beachfront bungalow here! The room was clean and pleasantly free of bugs and other creatures, as most fan rooms seem to be. The views are amazing, and getting up for a sunrise is a must :)
The staff found out it was my birthday and even brought me a special treat! Overall a great stay!

Splendid moment in Koh Lipe

The lady at the front desk was really friendly. She attended to our problems & helped us during our stay in Koh Lipe. We booked a family room & the condition was okay for four people. The breakfast was good too (Especially the Thai Omelette and Sandwich set!). Also, it was a walking distance to the Walking Street. We were able to catch the sunrise on this Sunrise Beach too (magnificent view). )

A Tale of two hotels ...

Stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and what a difference there is in room types.

First room was a premium sea view villa - great. A little run down and needed a good clean but ok. Had large open ish bathroom with an electric shower, mini fridge, black out blinds and a nice veranda to relax on. There was no hairdryer - although you can borrow one from reception for 1000thb deposit. This was a strange experience when I took it back and it was super inspected and tested, no such care was taken when the 1000 thb deposit was taken!
Breakfast ok - set menu - bad coffee.
The second room was a beachfront bungalow. It was very very poor! Unclean - smelly bathroom and a shower that was a hose pipe attached to a shower head that dribbled at best, no warm water. The smell from the drain - discussing. Felt dank dirty and unsafe. The Windows rattled and didn't lock properly and the door wasn't very secure. Then there was the friendly cockroach that kept appearing - couldn't wait to leave this room. If I had paid £15 a night I would have expected it but at £55 cleanliness and hot water is a must. Plus air conditioning - a fan just moves the hot air around making it impossible to sleep. Would I stay here again - yes but only in a premium room, and the Mali resort looks nicer for the same sort of price.

Quite a disappointment, below expectation

The overall experience was below our expectation, considering that this hotel garnered quite a high review score, has a few Tripadvisor certifications and the room rate is in the mid-high range.

Pro: The location of the hotel which is beach front, they have a few sun lounging beds but would be usually be occupied. The kitchen serves good food and they have a bar by the beach.

What we shared here is based on the Quad Room.
Con: The water pressure is low, and it was worse when they had water disruption when halfway showering, the tap turned dry. This happened at about 10pm when their reception was already closed. Although there is a number to call in case of emergency, no one picks up the phone. Luckily, there was a guy who came to assist, and I do not know what they did, 5 minutes later, we got back our water supply. And our nightmare was not over, the next morning, when we woke up, there is no water supply again, until we went to inquire at the reception. The whole duration of our stay, we were rather traumatized by the cleanliness of the water supply, the water has sediments and taste weird. At one point, my friend was showering and the water that came out was full of sludge.

We stayed for 2 nights, there is no housekeeping, which is fine because of conservation reason. However, would appreciate if they would at least clean the trash.

This is our experience after we requested to change room. The first room we got was in a worse condition, with low performing aircon.

Stayed 3 nights at Lipe Beach Resort. The location is spectacular, right on Sunrise beach. We had a partial sea view bungalow but there was effectively no view of the sea at all. The room itself wasn't great - very dark. We had a few unwelcome visitors too - we are not squeamish but snakes and cockroaches in the room were a bit much. The staff were great and breakfast was very good. We had dinner and lunch in the restaurant which was very good too. In summary, great location but have stayed in better quality rooms for the price.

On the whole, we loved it here. Our 'ok' rating is because, of our seven night stay, we spent three nights in a bungalow that was not the one we had booked & paid for via Expedia and because the accommodation refused to acknowledge the difference or refund the price difference between the bungalow allocated and the one booked, despite listing them separately online themselves. At our request, we were moved when the occupants left.

Both bungalows were lovely, but the Premium one that we had booked (there are only two) was better. It was larger, more private, has a nicer bathroom, is brighter, the terrace is larger and balconied, with a private hammock and closer to the sea.

Beds were super comfy and plenty of towels are provided. Cleaning is done daily IF you put your key in, so do remember.

Lipe Beach resort is lovely. The ambiance is so chilled, it's impossible not to totally relax. The setting is beautiful, the day beds lovely, breakfast a good selection and plentiful, and facilities good - kayaks and snorkel gear available, for example. There's free water daily and complimentary beers in your fridge on arrival.

The beach is quiet and the taxi boat stand right outside is great for getting a longtail for the day. There is great snorkelling right off the beach which we fouond completely addictive!

The bar has a good drinks selection including cocktails. It did sometimes shut as early as 9pm, so stock up with beer in your fridge if you want an after-dinner drink.

Charming Beachfront resort

We stayed for 3 nights at Lipe Beach Resort and it was lovely. We were in a fan/cold water bungalow which was a little hot at night as it's very warm on Lipe at all times of the day (and night), but if you're good with the heat and don't mind tucking yourself under a mosquito net to keep out the critters it is all you need. What I would warn about is when your boat arrives to Lipe you get dropped off at a floating platform where you are required to pay for entry into the 'park' (Lipe) at 200baht and a 50baht boat taxi + 50baht motorbike taxi or a 100baht boat taxi all the way to Sunrise beach. We weren't expecting this and was planning on taking out cash from the ATM on the island so we were quite blindsided by this fee when we arrived on the platform (off a ferry that took 1.5 hours longer to get there than what was quoted). Just be warned about this, as we didn't know ahead of time.

Stayed here for 5 days. Rooms are basic, but that's what we were expecting. Cold water showers and no AC (only a strong fan) but that was fine as this was clearly stated on the website and that's what we wanted.

Property is a 10 min walk into town (or 3 mins by sidecar), so it's not too far, and therefore far away enough to be quieter than other areas. It's also probably the nicest beach on the whole island, seems to be kept pretty clean... can swim or snorkel right off the beach...

Spent many days just lounging out the front, working our way through the cocktail list - some of them were great (try the Coffee Lipe Island Style), and the food was mostly great too. Breakfast (included) was nice with plenty of choices.

The best thing about this place was the staff - they were always friendly, helpful and occasionally playful too. Nothing ever seemed to be any trouble. Special mention goes to Yu-Yu, who made our stay all that more enjoyable.

The resident dogs (5 of them) are very docile and kid-friendly

Would definitely come back again!

Beautiful beach...cleanest on the island. We upgraded from a garden bamboo hut to second row, sea view hut. Service was wonderful, very nice staff, good food/drink.

Leider habe ich beim buchen nicht darauf geachtet das nur ein Ventilator vorhanden ist. Für ein Bungalow mit Klima in der selben Reihe sollte ich 500€ mehr zahlen. Viel zu viel. Kein Fön , keine strandtücher und keine Ablage für die Kleidung. Dann wurde vor Einbrüchen gewarnt, ich bin nach einer Nacht ins andere Hotel. Anbindung an die Walking street nur mit Taxi. Für allein Reisende wie mich leider nicht schön. Die direkte Lage am Strand war super. Das Personal an der Bar war nicht wirklich freundlich. Erst kam das Essen und gefühlt eine halbe stunde später dann mein bestelltes Getränk.

Utrolig fin strand. God mat på restaurant. Frokost var fra en meny og ble litt kjedelig utover uken, måtte betale ekstra for ost osv. Vi hadde beach front bungalow. Likte rommet veldig godt og balkongen. Eneste minuset totalt sett er at badene har åpne tak og gulv så det kommer inn kakkelakker og mygg.

Traumhafte und Tolle Lage der Unterkunft, saubere Zimmer jedoch ohne Klimaanlage kaum bewohnbar. Das Personal bei der Ankunft war sehr nett auch das Bar Personal war sehr freundlich. Allerdings schien Personal beim Frühstück sehr unmotiviert zu sein, auch die Wartezeiten waren sehr lange (30-40min für ein Rührei bsp)

Rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente, colazione varia e abbondante (bevande e frutta free refill), si trova secondo me sul punto più carino dell'isola, spiaggia con ombra di bellissimi alberi. Due bottigliette d'acqua ogni giorno. Suggerirei solo zanzariere alle finestre (oltre a quelle già sul letto) visto il gran caldo e le zanzare.

Place was beautiful. Our shower included small lizard visitors during the night also cockroach. But I cant blame the resort because it was in the middle nature. Beach is close and staff is really kind. Beach have a lot of jelly fishes also but its cool to dive there if you are careful

As everywhere in Thailand, the garbage is a issue. The hotel is clean but is surrounding is an open bin
The service at the hotel is good, but the staff that do not now much English. They really should get free lesson from the hotel ownership and course in food and beverage.

So etwas schlechtes haben wir in Thailand noch nie erlebt. Wir haben einen Beach Bungalow mit Frühstück gebucht. Check-In war der Witz, keine Einweisung in den Bungalow, auf Nachfrage haben wir dann erfahren das der Bungalow erst nach Abgabe des Schlüssels, am Check-In Schalter, gereinigt wird. Zweimal haben wir es in 8 Tagen in Anspruch genommen. Beim Ersten Mal wurde etwas lieblos mit dem Besen durch den Bungalow gefegt, ging auch nicht besser wenn man in einer Hand n Handy hält und Nachrichten schreibt. Beim Bett wurde einfach nur die Decke komplett übergeschmissen. Damit war Sie durch. Grottenschlecht! Beim 2. Mal hat man uns nur den Schlüssel auf die Terrasse gelegt und gesagt, man komme gleich um zu reinigen. Es kam natürlich niemand.
Das Frühstückspersonal war so dermaßen unfreundlich, in einem anderen Land hätte ich den Kellner sofort angesprochen, in Thailand werde ich die Thais nicht bloßstellen.
Ein Feedback gibt es dann hiermit.

Preis Leistung stimmt überhaupt nicht.
145€ die Nacht zusätzlich Steuern sind Wucher. Liegt wahrscheinlich an der Lage des Resorts.
Dieses Resort werde ich niemandem weiterempfehlen.

Der er et fint sted, dog er der en del støj fra de mange longtails både, men sådan er det mange steder på Koh Lipe.

Vi var uheldige at ankomme samme dag hvor den pram som kommer hver måned for at hente skrald var der. Så det lugtede desværre og vi valgte at flytte efter en nat

It was a fine stay, but due to christmas we have definetly overpayed. It is a very basic accomodation. No room to put any clothes, a very small light in the bathroom and the shower above the toilet. Altough the view is great and the breakfast is lovely. But only go here if you want a really basic room

El hotel esta sobre la playa Sunrise. En temporada alta se llega a la isla por la playa Pattaya que esta del otro lado. Recomiendo avisar con tiempo al hotel para que los busquen, yo no recibi respuesta y tomamos un \"taxi\".
Elegimos la cabaña que da frente al mar. Es simple, cama, aire y un deck con mesita (habia otras con hamaca pero nos dijeron que no era nuestra tarifa)
El baño le falta luz. Porque de noche se complica ir al baño. Y deben asegurar mejor el calefon electrico porque el caño tenia cierta corriente (aunque te podes bañar con agua fria pero bueno, es un tema de seguridad). Se desayuna en el bar /restaurante que tienen y solo podes elegir un plato de una lista mas cafe y jugo.
La verdad es que lo lindo es que esta en la playa. Pero por el costo... Los servicios y comodidades son limitados. Es costo por tener la vista y acceso directo a la playa.
Creo que deberian mejorar los servicios, algun diferencial.

Very nicely located directly at the beach close to the sunset beach. The bungalow was great, even without aircon. Staff was friendly. Breakfast options good. The beach villas look superbe. The beach can be busy during the day as the taxi boats are crusing the whole day. koh Lipe is still a very nuce island to rest. Can fully recommend.

A big ask is to refrain from plastic bottles and other plastics. Also water / sewage eaning should be installed to protect this little island!

Vi bodde i en bungalow längst fram vid stranden och var väldigt nöjda med den.
Duschen kunde det ha varit lite bättre tryck i, men det var inget problem att duscha där.

Das Resort liegt am m.E. schönsten Strandabschnitt der Insel ziemlich am oberen Ende des dort relativ breiten Sunset Beach mit schattenspendenden Bäumen/Palmen.
Zahlreiche in mehreren Reihen einzeln stehende Holzbungalows z.T. mit Aircon und Moskitonetz, Kühlschrank, Safe und Terrasse.
Zimmereinigung auf Wunsch täglich.
Frühstück (bis 11 Uhr) kann umfangreich aus der Karte bestellt werden, Kaffee aus dem Automaten gut!
Nette Bar/Resto am Strand mit Sun/Beds.

Personal sehr nett und bemüht. Überraschenderweise sprechen viele der jungen Bedienungen kein/kaum Englisch!

Leider gibt es nur einige wenige Liegen, die ausschließlich für die Bewohner der vorderen Meerblickbungalows (zum aktuellen Resisezeitpunkt 1/20 um die 230 Euro!!!) bestimmt (und oftmals unbesetzt) waren!
Alle anderen Gäste müssen sich mit einem (eigenen) Tuch in den Sand legen! Bei einem Bungalowpreis von ca. 120 Euro m.E. eine Zumutung!

In Laufentfernung viele Restaurants und Bars am Strand, zur Walking Street (ab ca. 18 Uhr fängt das Nachtleben richtig an) im Inselinneren ca. 10 Minuten (Taschenlampe für den Rückweg mitnehmen).

Im Resort selber an der Bar ab ca. 20 Uhr „tote Hose“.

We had a very comfortable beachfront bungalow. View and private chairs on the beach enhanced the atmosphere. Price for night high .Hotelrestaurant on the beach served delicious Thai cuisine, we have not met with quality on our trip through Thailand for the rest of the stay. Wery negativ of our stay was a lot of privat boats and engine crashing
