The villa was so beautiful! The private outdoor rain shower was amazing!! The beach was nice with crystal clear water but too many boats and ferries. The sunset beach is a 10 min walk and it was quiet with white sand and turquoise water! Breakfast was superb and the tables are right on the beach. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect

Great location with direct access to Pattaya Beach, great big rooms with amazing beds and outdoor bathroom and great TV. Overall the whole place feels a bit tired and needs an update particularly the bar and beach areas where breakfast served, menus even so faded couldn’t read - nobody really eats and drinks here because a bit sad…staff are very nice and helpful seems a shame given the location and views

Great location. No pool but you don’t need it. Straight onto the beach for snorkeling and just beach swimming. Beautiful powdery sand. Cocktails are great. Breakfast is also good. Rooms with outdoor shower are authentic. Beds are super comfy.

Amazing little property. Perfect location. Beautiful beach. Friendliest staff ever. Great food. Amazing tropical beach bar. Tasty breakfast (try the pancakes with Nutella!). I'll definitely be back and stay here again. I stayed on both sides of the island and actually prefer Pattaya Beach. It's more expansive and nicer to walk along. Enjoy!!

The resort is lovely and the scenery is amazing, best looking garden on the island with gorgeous palms everywhere. It’s located right on Pattaya beach, but on the west end of it so it’s more quiet. The staff is nice, even the infamous Fang, mentioned in many reviews, is trying her best to smile. Breakfast has enough options (omelettes, eggs & sausages, muesli, thai food) and is made on request so it’s always fresh, and the restaurant also offers meals during the day with good prices&quality. The bungalow with a sea view we had was good size and comfortable, but it would need some fixing up, such as the door not fully closing, the curtains are about to fall down etc. But the bathroom is the main thing that needs to be renovated, as it looks very old and not clean. We got new water, toilet paper and towels every day, and also some beach towels. All in all we really enjoyed our stay here.

The location is perfect, staff is above and beyond helpful and knowledgeable, the only thing that I had issues with is the doors having a gap in areas that allow mosquitoes inside, my son is higher allergic, they tried very hard to help by spraying because we couldn't change rooms till the next day, everything worked out!Staffing exceptional!

I like the free breakfast. Even though only 5 selections to choose from, the quality and taste were above my expectations. Loved our room/chalet beside the beach. Size was adequate for 3 persons without feeling crowded. Great open air bathroom. Only downside was the beach, many rubbish and has oil sludge in the sand. Ruined all our sandals!

The premise is really nice as its on a beach stretch so when you walk out, youre greeted beautiful scenery, you get to have breakfast by the beach as well and the premise is well maintained externally.

Stayed in the garden view type. Exterior is beautiful and interior wise is also decent.
However, the first room we got , the water heater wasnt working. So we asked to switch to another room, which while water heater was working. The toilet smells pungent like sewer water or farts every time you flush .

Staff wise service, are okay, but could improve on hospitality coz they look nearly always unhappy at their jobs, which doesnt give very welcoming vibes for a hotel, which is very different from other hotels where my other friends experienced which are even cheaper.

But overall, it's still a pleasant stay.

It is located in a quiet part of Pattaya Beach on Koh Lipe, with a lot of nice local boats to see. The water in the sea is very clean here, with just small waves and it's not deep, which makes it great for families with small children. Their breakfast are ok, but overally the restaurant is a little bit more expensive, although they have a great variety of drinks and cocktails. Overally, I can rate this stay as 5* for us. We had a great time there and maybe we can return in the future.

Great staff and location. Close enough to the busy walking street but far enough to not have swarms of people passing by. Staying anywhere on the beach front you will be dealing with a bit of thumping base from the bars. This didn’t go on too late so was a terrible bother. Snorkeling steps from our room, the good hamburgers which gave off a break from rice and noodles and good bartenders made this hotel one of our favorites!

Beautiful villa right on pattaya beach with wonderful and friendly staff. Even with very few tourist due to covid 19, the villas were clean and the grounds wonderfully maintained. Would definitely stay here again. The staff were friendly and eagar to help with everything we asked. Booked snorkeling and fishing trips through Mali that were both amazing.

The property has this stunning beautiful balinese style garden and decoration, room is very clean and cosy, with outdoor bathroom.

My wife and I stayed for a week here and really enjoyed it! The beaches are some of the best we have been to and the room was large and comfortable. The outdoor bathroom was nice but create opportunity for some visitors mostly ants and other bugs at night. The grass roofs had a particular smell that once used to was not a big deal but noticed it the first day. Overall we loved our time at Mali Hotel and were able to fully enjoy this paradise island.

It is beautiful beach front resort towards the end of Pattaya beach. I find this place calm, relax and peaceful. The only sad part, i got bitten by 6 inch centipede on my last night there at the middle of the night when i was sleeping. I didn’t know what it was until I came back from treatment from the clinic. I found the centipede underneath the blanket. It was such a painful experience for me.

Overall the stay is satisfied, the location is good, the garden view room is quiet because is not so close to the beach but a less than 1 minute walk to the beach. However, there is no way i can sit outside the room or leave the door open else you will invite all the mosquito in. The hot shower should be improve, it was either freaking hot or freezing cold , there is no between. My 16 months baby caught a cold after the cold shower.
I think the resort can add some small touch to make it better, like provide a room slipper , kettle in the room and more variety of choice for breakfast. We are getting boring for the choice after the third day stay because there are only 4 to choose from the menu.
The staffs are friendly and helpful.

The place looks old. Apart from the receptionists and the baggage handlers, the other staff were in their own worlds. They could smile more too. The rooms were small, Balinese style attap roofs with an outdoor shower, along with the oversized mozzies and millipedes which make their way into the room for a comfortable rest. There’s no pool, the the sea is perfect. Calm and inviting, it’s only saving grace. I wouldn’t stay here if I have the chance to visit again.

The island isn't known for incredible luxury and posh hotels, its more of a castaway hippie vibe about the place.

This hotel is on a great beach and provides decent, clean rooms and food ect.

I stayed in 4 hotels in Koh Lipe, Mali has exceeded my expectations, from the first moment I loved it. I cannot recomend it enough. The people, service, room and location are one of the best on the island.
I can only point out few things for improvement. First thing is the bathroom, it felt like it needed proper refurbishment and the second is there are lots of mosquitoes everywhere.

There are many accommodation options at Koh Lipe but I'm glad to have chosen Mali Resort Pattaya Beach. Friendly and welcoming staff. Check-in was super quick and fuss-free. My room C9 was in excellent condition and tucked away, offering peace and quietness. Housekeeping always did an amazingly fast and wonderful job every morning while I'm having breakfast by the beach. The property is located at an ideal spot which is close enough to the activity-filled food and drinks outlets along Pattaya Beach as well as the very busy Walking Street, but far enough to not be too disturbed by the noise. Overall an excellent place to stay.

Stayed 5 nights at the beginning of November. Resort was mostly quiet. Staff always friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom worked fine and had good shower water pressure, but could use an update. Clean, white sand beach was litter free during out stay, but weather and currents apparently can cause litter and debris to accumulate during other times of the year. I can definitely recommend this as one of the best hotels on Koh Lipe.

Main walking street is just within 5 minutes walk from the resort. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. They provide complimentary coffee and hot chocolate all day Long.

We stayed in room C12. Everything worked well, but room cleanliness can be improved. Sometimes there is no hot shower in our room, but it did not bother us at all.

Overall satisfied with our stay. =)

Bungalow rooms away from the beach hidden under nature settings provide lots of privacy, I would rather have this than a beach front villa because of this reason.

Bathrooms are outdoor as seen in pictures, being able to shower outdoor is a great experience, but not so much for using the toilet and sinks as bugs and humidity can be unpleasant, be sure to ask yourself if this is your cup of tea.

Ask for a separate key card if you wish to keep the A/C on when you are out of the room, as temperature are fairly high and humidity can really make everything damp in the room.

For some odd reason, a couple late-check-in guests opened our room at midnight during our sleep during a storm, they were given our room number, not sure if they had an extra set of key to it as well. there's no way of deadlocking the door from the inside. We communicated this incident to management the next day and they changed our lock (not sure if this is a solution).

If you are contemplating between this resort and the one on Sunset Beach, here's what we find during our visit to the Sunset resort: little bit further away from ferry and walking street, new development where mature trees are lacking (big disadvantage if nature setting is what you are looking for), bathroom is not outdoor.

Offshore snorkelling is the best we have been to, I personally wouldn't bother with snorkelling tours, Plankton snorkel is not worth your time either, you have to jump into the water and wave your hands to see it.

Great location - this hotel is on a busy beach so lot's of boat traffic and noise. Excellent rooms, though open air bathroom will not be to everyone's taste. Not the best view if you are in the rooms at the back, but rooms near beach more pricey. Breakfast menu very limited and quite basic bearing in mind the hotel price

I'm really impressed with the resort, especially the service of great standards. Got the Balinese Tropical Villa for great and relaxing environment with good privacy and quiet surroundings. However, room with outdoor shower not so convenient for rainy days, and the nature of gas heated hot water supply tends to have inconsistent water temperature. Nevertheless, these are the uniqueness of the room/resort and it does not affect the overall experience.
Breakfast has sufficient choices of good quality food. Bed and pillows are very comfortable.
I'll be coming back to this resort for my next vacation.
Thanks a lot to the staffs for the great service!

Nice hotel by the beach for city life getaway

Due to low season in Koh Lipe, it's quite troublesome to get to the hotel from Langkawi. When check-in the hotel staff notified us that the room we booked is only for 2 persons, and for any additional person (unless infant below 2 years old) there will be additional surcharge of 800++ thai bath per person per night. End up I had to pay additional 5000 bath for my 2 sons. It was not mentioned in the booking through expedia. If I have known it, we might not consider to stay at the hotel.
The hotel has very limited facility and choice of foods. The bathroom is outdoor, when it's raining then it's not so fun to take shower.

Wanted one more night on the island and so booked one night at Mali as there wasn't much more affordable available, and so glad we did. The staff were helpful and friendly, took care of any little thing for you. It's on the quieter end of Pattaya beach, there's still long tails around but there's a designated swimming area and decent snorkelling just up the beach. Beautiful bungalows, loved the outdoor bathrooms, besides the mosquitoes. Good food and drinks at the bar too. Not one bad thing to say. Definitely recommend it.

great place for Koh Lipe

great hotel - enjoyed our stay. when you arrive after your bone-jarring speedboat ride you are dumped onto a floating pontoon out in the bay which was pretty chaotic. fortunately the hotel sent someone to meet us and help us with our cases back to the beach and on to the hotel. great start! the Mali is placed at the quieter end of the beach but only a couple of minutes from walking street and is in a great location. the hotel itself is just a series of bungalows facing onto a garden and bar right next to the beach which couldn't be better. the Balinese luxury ocean view rooms are fabulous (although its a struggle to actually see the ocean!) very big, beautifully decorated with a huge bed and good aircon. the bathrooms are outside (no roof) which is a little odd but fun. the bar service was OK drinks good and reasonably priced - we didn't eat so I cant comment (too many good places on walking street to eat in the hotel). check out was smooth and relaxed and once again they helped us get back out to the pontoon.
only downside I would say was poor wifi.
all in all I would highly recommend this hotel!

Best location on Lipe

The hôtel is located at the end of Pattaya beach, which is the one most suitable for swimming among the other two on koh Lipe and with the best sands. Covienient to walking street, but remaining quiet and relaxing. I think the hotel actually got the best location. Sunset beach too inconvenient while sunrise beach too many Thai boats. This part of Pattaya beach is so clean and quiet. Food are good and not expensive for that quality. But too many mosquito in the room, but I guess it happens anywhere on this island.

3 nights not long enough.

Only stayed for 3 nights but wish I could have stayed longer. Amazing location and wonderful resort. Staff very helpful without getting in the way. The perfect place to relax and unwind in paradise.

Great location right on the beach, good breakfast, nice staff. The room was fine could use better lighting such as reading lights, but bathroom/ shower was disappointing, only 2 small towels, no amenities, and bad lighting

A relaxing haven on Ko Lipe

A first class hotel situated on the beach at the quiet end of Pattaya beach. Only a short walk across the beach to Waling Street. We had a Balinese room just off the beach. Food was good and well priced, not too expensive. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee were available all day- a nice touch.

We have stayed on Koh Lipe on the other side of island twice.
Our experience at the Mali Resort was the best.
Overall the rooms were spacious, hot water, wifi, very comfortable beds and pillows, nice and quiet, great outlook, friendly staff and owners.
It's the only place we will stay again!

Mali: Comparable to Western Resorts

The Mali resort is absolutely beautiful. We visited during the low season, but the place was still lively. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the bed is very comfotrable. The outdoor private bathrooms are a bit strange, but it didn't take away from the experience at all. The Mali resort is ideally situated near the walking street and also near the only \"road\" that leads directly to sunset beach. We will definitely stay here again if we go back to Koh Lipe.

Very enjoyable stay

The location was perfect as it's on one end of Pattaya Beach. It's away from Walking Street entrance but not far on foot. So this means it's quieter. I would stay away from Sunrise Beach as that is the tourist landing spot from ferries. The staff here are wonderful and the rooms are perfect. English is no issue here. Brings lots of mozzie repellent. There's no escaping them.

An amazing hotel, so much so, I have decided to stay longer in Koh Lipe and have rebooked this hotel for tomorrow after staying at another resort down the beach. The friendly vibe is evident everywhere. If you want peace and quiet, perfect. Distance to Walking Street was perfect.

Somewhat great but can be better

It's a beautiful resort with perfect ocean view, situated on the quiet side of the pattaya beach, 5mins walk to walking street over the beach when low tide and 15mins walk to sunset beach through the shortcut!

Since we stayed in the villa with outdoor bathroom, we found it perfect for the first day with perfect weather. But then on the second day, it rained heavily all day, and we found it difficult to have shower properly under the heavy rain, we needed to take an umbrella as a shelter during shower. Under the heavy rain, the toilet paper was all wet too, should think about any improvements can be done to deal with the bad weather.

The villa looks perfect on the outside, and the room inside looks generally good, but I found there were quite a number of spider webs on the roof and the bedside reading lamps.

As a whole, it's a lovely resort overlooking the beautiful sea.

Nemo and coral just in front of the hotel beach

Some coral and nemo just in front of the hotel beach. Good for family with child to explore the coral at low tide time. The water is just below knee level. You will see differnt kinds of small fishes and there were so many sea urchin.

Nice, green and quiet place

It was our first time to Koh Lipe and as it goes in Asia, one need to set their expectations correctly. Star rating in some Asian locations does not equal to star ratings in Europe.
Mali resort has beautiful neighborhood full of greenery, palms and is very quiet. We had a room facing the garden (not the sea view rooms).
Pluses: quiet, nice terrace, beach proximity
Minuses: dark, old-fashioned equipment
It is hard to evaluate properly as some people love such accommodation but I am used to a bit different style which I found the other day in a different place at Koh Lipe.
