Does not look like the photos. We booked three nights and left after first night. Old rooms padlocks for doors to room and safe. Tv didn’t work cause it was raining. Very hard beds

I’ve travelled the world and slept on the floor in mud huts before so I am pretty flexible with what comes my way but this hotel was the worst I’ve ever experienced. The garbage barge which was full of rotten food and toilet waste stayed for days despite the staff promises that it would be gone the next day. There were exposed wires above the shower, the bathroom had dirt and grime stains all up the walls and was full of cockroaches. The wooden floorboards had been eaten by insects and was rotten in places and had caves through. The fridge was dirty.
I never complain to staff but when I approached the staff to enquire about the garbage they told me that I should put up with it. I decided that it was unbearable and said that I would be leaving along with other holiday goers, and asked to speak to management and they told us to go away and write an email. I wrote an email to the management asking for a partial refund for the remaining days booked which they refused so I had to pay for that accomodation as well as the replacement hotel. They should be out of business and I strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

Good but basic hotel

Accommodation was clean, with good air conditioning, excellent cleaning and shower. TV did not work properly but that was no problem for us.

Lots of boats on the water all the time which could be off putting for some and also the main supply route via boat comes in just down the beach but can be avoided if needs be.

Breakfast was excellent as was the tea and coffee throughout the day.

Quite difficult to get properly comfortable both in the room and by the pool. Pool only has deckchairs (which are good) but no umbrellas for shade so it can get quite hot.

Staff are lovely and very helpful. Would recommend for good, basic, clean accommodation.

The Bungalo swore OK, the landscaping of the property was very poor the swimming pool was filthy and needed cleaning, no one used it why I was there for four days. The breakfast buffet was marginal. I would never stay there again The other resorts on both sides of the property were much nicer and it the same or a lower price per night

Hotels.com should reconsider having power Beach resort on their sales site.

Lipe Power Resort

The employees were all nice and polite. Breakfast buffet was better than expected, always something to eat.
The beach in front of the hotel is nice, but it’s also where all the long tail boats park. Must be 75-100 boats parked along the beach so it’s not a place you’ll want to play and swim.
A 5-10 min walk north will put you on a great part of the beach. Didn’t go south.
Place was a little hard to find as we walked from Pattaya Beach where ferry drops you. It’s about a 10-15 min walk down walking street and through town.
The industrial ferry parks about 75 yards north of resort. We were there 5 nights and it was there 4 of them unloading and loading. I don’t know the schedule, but i don’t think it comes and goes very often. It’s not a big deal, but it was an eye sore on an utherwise pristine view. It was 100+ feet long, quite tall and a floating piece of rust so it was very noticeable. Also use it as a garbage hauler so the last day was pretty smelly as they loaded it with tons of trash. As soon as it left you would never have known it was there as it just sits right on the beach. Maybe it comes a couple times per high season (March 3-8) this year.
Taxi boats take off just north of hotel so it was easy to grab a long tail to another island. Cheaper prices than in the city since you negotiate direct with taxi boat driver.
It was a good stay. We’d stay here again if we returned. The rooms/cabins were comfortable enough (A/C worked well) and location was good.

Overpriced and not up to standard

This is my third visit to Koh Lipe and first stay in this resort, it is overpriced, dirty, aircon water leaking all day, not aircon from 10am to 2pm daily, breakfast close at 930am which is unreasonable. A big NO to this resort in future. Not recommended.

The Best

Koh Lipe was recommended by a friend and it most certainly lived up to expectations. Koh Lipe Power Beach Resort was out of the world. We had a sea view bungalow, waking up at 06:20 every morning to watch sunrise was breathtakingly beautiful. The resort is a short walk away from the hussel and bussle of the Main Street. Also walking to and from the resort in the hours of darkness can be a little scary if you don't have a touch. I will most definitely be staying here again and I highly recommend it.

Get the bungalows at front 2 rows!

The bungalows are built very close together in this resort. Row 3 and back are built in line which means you have no sea view and just see the toilet block of the bungalow in front of you. Worth to pay for row 1 or request row 2 that has a view in between bungalows of row 1. We had a family 3 person bungalow that was spacious but had some small repairs needed. Good breakfast buffet, free coffee in afternoon but no lunch and diner available. Great view from restaurant. Small but refreshing pool. In front of resort too many boats and next to village so not good for swimming, should go 100 meters further. Staff helpful. Price ok compared to other resorts for beach bungalows in Lipe.

It's really nice hotel and closer to the beach

I had a pleasant stay here and the hotel staff are all nice, however we'd appreciate it if the resident dogs don't roam so much as we're afraid of dogs.

Clean & beach front.

The manager was very kind to let us check-out late at 1pm once he knew we will have 4:30pm ferry to Langkawi next day.
We enjoyed a short stay ( 1 night) at Lipe so much. We will definitely come back to Lipe power if we visit Lipe again.

Great spot on Sunrise beach.

Very good location on Sunrise Beach. The pool was great to cool down when they turn off the a/c between 10 and 2. The staff was friendly. The TV didn't have any channels in English. It was close enough to the neighboring bar to hear their music on the patio, but it was quiet after you got inside the room. The best part was being about to walk out to the islands at low tide. I brought my snorkeling equipment, but walking was much easier to enjoy the reefs. Sunrise was the best beach on Ko Lipe

Lipe Power Beach

Location wise perfect although this beach is quite windy which apparently is the norm. Koh Lipe is an amazing Island but like so many has fallen victim to commercialism and is quite scruffy in parts and has a lot of litter. As a traveller with 50 years experience I would rate some of the beaches in the top 5 in the world, snokelling is good with 85% visibility and plenty of fish but unfortunately the coral is severely damaged.

Good bungalows close to the beach

staff very friendly on arrival, but really after that quite surly when asked anything. Breakfast ok. Free coffee, tea and biscuits throughout the day a nice touch. Had to clean the beach front of litter one day, the staff should really be checking this in the morning.

Nice in general. Not far away from walking street.

The boiler in our room didn't work well, and the toilet paper holder was broken. There was a big crack on floor, and the door cannot be sealed, so there were some mosquitos(or who knows what kind of insects it were) found their way. But, this is koh Lipe! With the view, the beach, the food, the sunshine, NOTHING IS A PROBLEM~~

Ganska slitet enkelt boende men stora rum och bra läge på stranden.
Frukostbuffén va sådär, fanns rostbröd, omelett och thaimat.
Liten pool vilket var uppskattat av barnen, gott att kunna hänga vid havet, poolen och restaurangen på samma gång.

Mycket dålig frukost. Dåliga sängar med hårda kuddar o hård madrass. Dålig städning. Inga solsängar. Long boat parkering utanför hotellets strand vilket gör det svårt att snorkla/ bada.
Kan dessvärre inte rekommendera detta hotel. Leta vidare.

I was disappointed with the bungalows, they don't look like in the photos. Everything was old, I didn't have the staircase from the veranda. The internet was only at the pool. We did not have cleaning and clean towels.

Abbiamo soggiornato 4 notti in questa struttura il personale è accogliente gentilissimo pronto a soddisfare ogni tua richiesta( sopratutto ham) per la pulizia delle stanza c’è da rivedere perché gli asciugamani non vengono cambiati tutti i giorni a meno che non lo chiedevi le tazze del caffè in camera non sono mai state lavate i letti sono molto duri! La posizione è ottima perché lontano dalla confusione di Walkin Street e dal porto! Se siete alla buona maniera e senza troppo pretese qua state da dio!

À notre arrivée le bateau déchèterie se trouvait juste à côté de notre bungalow nous avons dû changer de chambre pour être de l’autre côté de l’hôtel car l’odeur était insoutenable
Je suis très déçu car ce bateau vient à ce même endroit 2 fois par mois pendant 2jours le bruit des camions et l’odeur des déchets nous on empêcher de profiter pleinement de notre bungalow en font Beach et de la piscine photo et vidéo si besoin

Underbart läge, hade Beach view. Men rummet var sådär, såg allmänt skabbigt ut, särkilt i badrummet. Synd att dem inte kan fixa till det så hade det varit 10/10! Frukosten skippade vi nästan hälften av vår vistelse, sådär. Det man betalade för var ju läget helt klart

Huoneet kaipaavat päivitystä

Hotelli on hyvällä paikalla ja henkilökunta mukavaa. Huoneet kaipaavat remonttia/päivitystä ja kunnollista siivousta. Seinillä kirjoituksia hiekkaa lattialla ja sängyssä, kunnollinen perussiivous olisi paikallaan. Lisäksi hotellin viereen tulee jätelaiva joka on paikallaan useamman päivän ja haju on kammottava!

Mysig bungalow, ingen ac utan fläkt och myggnät. Tyvärr har ett stort disco öppnat alldeles bredvid så det är väldigt hög ljudnivå fram till kl 02 om nätterna. Verkligen inte ok för oss som reser med barn.

Helt okej hotel med världens hårdaste säng tyvärr. Mysigt läge mitt på stranden men tyvärr är ju baksidan att båtarna låter väldigt mycket på morgonen. Wi-fi krånglade mycket för oss men enligt receptionen var det engångsföreteelse så hoppas inte att det ska påverka de som bestämmer sig för att bo här.
