The room was terrible and overlooked an inner brick courtyard. We ordered a bowl and spoon be sent up from the front desk so our son could eat some cereal and no one ever showed up. We’ve stayed there before and loved the experience and location, but I think I’ll try a new hotel next time. Bummer because it’s close to the tube station.

Its very near gloucester road tube stion on Piccadilly line from heathrow -50 minutes for around 7£-and also on Circle/District lines that enable me to get to Lords and Oval to watch cricket .Plenty of places to eat in area and good bar in Hotel plus Bugis restaurant Singaporean food -
I book single room -some are very tight especially bathroom but last time I commented on leaving and this time got better configured room -desk manager noticed my comment to checkout and arranged this .I use hotel for 10-12 nights a year and can recommend it .

오래된 호텔치고 객실 컨디션이 상당히 좋았습니다. 지하철역 바로앞이라 관광지 가기 좋았습니다. 또한 바로앞에 프랜차이즈 식당 및 대형마트가 있어 밤늦게 야식 먹기도 좋습니다. 직원들도 모두 친절합니다. 단점은 땅값 비싼 런던 켄싱턴 한복판이라 객실이 그렇게 크지않다는점과 가격이 상당히 비싸다는점.

The room was smaller than in online pictures, but otherwise this hotel was perfect! The bed was very comfortable and the rain head shower in my room was fantastic! Directly outside the Gloucester Road tube station made it easy to get to with baggage. Location on cute street with lots of cafes and pubs, easy walk to Hyde Park and Harrod's and Kensington High Street. Very safe neighborhood area. I will definitely stay here again!

Very small room, extremely small bathroom.
I requested a change of room because the hotel ventilation was on all night extremely noisy on top of my room.
In the 2nd room you could hear all the noises from outside and adjacent room.
I had to travel/leave a day earlier. They did not accept to provide a credit note since i had paid my stay. Not even exchange the hefty rate for a mere breakfast.
I booked a conference room a day ahead, they changed the price just before my meeting!!! So had to accept. They billed my card twice !!!
Much work should be done on the hotel s customer service.
Very expensive compared to the really lowsy experience.
I do not recommend staying at this hotel due to their bad customer service.

We had a very welcome reception at this hotel after taking a long train ride from Aberdeen. Our room was cozy and had a clean bathroom, great towels and a very comfortable bed! I slept well because the room was so quiet! Great shower and good breakfast, very helpful and kind staff. Would highly recommend staying here.

It was built as a hotel to begin with and it is kept in immaculate shape. Our room was charming and very comfortable. Being stateside, I loved the dual shower. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner. I had sweet and sour chicken and it was possibly the best I've eaten. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful, especially helping us get to the train station.

Very comfortable bed, which is important, but the experience was hit or miss in many respects. Positives: Location. Very central and plenty of good restaurants in the immediate area. Across from tube station.
Negatives: room was musty. It was better when we turned off the air conditioning (moldy air) and opened the windows. Breakfast was not worth the price so we only ordered it one morning (there are many great breakfast places right near the hotel).

We liked everything about The Bailey’s. It’s elegant and our room was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and so helpful, especially the concierge. And a doorman opening the door for us every time? - such a lovely touch.

The breakfast was comprehensive and delicious, though it needed a few more gluten-free options.

Everything was clean and well-maintained. I especially liked the spectacular fresh flowers in the lobby and bar and the unusual orchid outside the lift bank on the ground floor.

The Gloucester Road tube station was right across the street, which was so convenient. And taxis were readily available.

A mobility-impaired traveler should check in advance whether there’s a handicapped entrance. There are about five steps up to the lobby, and while the doorman will carry luggage up, I’m not sure his services extend to carrying up guests! Also, we didn’t see a lift at the Gloucester Road tube station and it has several levels of long staircases. However, we didn’t ask about a lift there.

We would definitely return to The Bailey’s. It was recommended to us by a former Brit who now lives in Canada, but who returns frequently to the UK. We’re very happy we took her advice.

Fabulous location and the restaurant in the hotel was delicious despite slow service. The only complaint I have is lack of closet space in the cozy single room and no bathrobe. I had a minor issue with housekeeping not noticing the red hassle to not service my room but the staff fixed it immediately. Definitely staying here again!

Expedia was a nightmare to deal with on this honeymoon trip. Our plans were disrupted by flight cancellations, which is understandable, but the Expedia Rep said we would receive a refund for the two nights that we were stranded. After we were charged the full amount, Expedia was nowhere to be found. We’ll never use them again!!

The hotel was lovely as were the staff. We arrived before check in time but were able to store our luggage there while we set out exploring the neighbourhood. The Kensington area is great with cafès and pubs close by. Check in at the hotel was easy and our luggage was taken to our room. We were in a deluxe double room which was very spacious. The bathroom was spacious as well. Overall very pleased with the room size. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were not great. The room on the fifth floor was very quiet. The bar is lovely and was a nice place to unwind at the end of a busy day sightseeing.
Getting around London was easy as the underground station is right across the street. The tube to Piccadilly took us right to the airport. Upon checking out I requested my receipt be emailed to me but never got it so if that’s important to you make sure to get one printed before your departure.
I highly recommend the Baileys hotel and would love to return someday.

This was our first time in London and traveling abroad with the children. London is ancient city so you would expect things to be run down. The truth is that Londoners cherish and preserve their city, streets, pubs, and this beautiful boutique hotel. I felt like everyone really cared about all the guests. In the US, there is an epidemic or \"quiet quitting\" despite the fact that the standard of living is leagues ahead of other countries. At Baileys, I felt the opposite and it was refreshing to be amongst people with the utmost competence. The room is very clean, for American standards, it will feel small so please refer to the square footage in the listing. The \"air conditioner\" is more of a glorified fan so turn it on or it's hard to get air circulation as windows can't be opened. There are elevators, which are European sized meaning small but they work well. The Gym is also small, you will end up walking at minimum 5-10 miles a day when you are in London so you won't need the gym. The Tube (underground train) station is like 20 steps away, technically across a tiny street. The Hotel is surrounded by a million authentic great restaurants within walking distance. (Don't believes stories about bad London food, it is of the highest quality and amazing and London is #4 in worlds best cites for food) We got included buffet English style Breakfast and it is really good and a highlight of my every morning because of excellent wait staff, like Teigest.

We I really enjoyed our stay in the family suite. It was a great room pretty quiet as far hearing anything outside sometimes you can hear other people shut their doors, but it’s not too bad. The bed was comfy. Bathroom was pretty. Nice quiet air conditioning doesn’t wake me up and works well. They had an umbrella in the closet to borrow, ironing board/iron, water/tea/ coffee in room. Additional umbrellas by check in you could rent from the front for free. Wonderful breakfast.

Baileys is a hotel I use often when in London to watch cricket -hotel is clean bar is buzzy and public areas have been refurbished to a very high standard but above all for me its on piccadilly tube line from Heathrow and Circle /District lines to get easily to lords and oval cricket grounds .Staff are friendly -concierge particularly -and rooms while small singles are clean with decent showers etc but this time I was in a room 408 that I would not recommend as toilet is really squeezed into a very small space which makes it actually very uncomfortable and contorting to use !However I complained when checking out and floor manager agreed that I would get a better room next time and never 408 again !!Incidentally I don't eat breakfast there -there is a Pret and Gails immediately opposite plus a friendly all day diner ZAKS 100 yards up the street and Stanhope Arms is a good old fashioned pub serving Full English breakfast from 930 plus 2/3 halal/muslim options within 100 yards -so spoilt for choice .

Let me just say that the reason this place even got one star, is solely based on a few wonderful people that worked at this hotel. If it wasn’t for them I would have demanded my money back and moved to a different hotel.

When booking a room in the beginning of the summer, and when the temperature is above 30c, AC was a must.
In the lobby it was a perfect temperature, but when we took the elevator up and the door opened it was so warm, and when we opened the door to our room it was even worse.
I’m traveling a lot, and I cannot understand how this hotel got the reviews it did, it is beyond me.
We met some very lovely people, the concierge service was marvellous and the lovely lady in the breakfast section that remembered your daily order was 10/10, they make the hotel seem far better than it is. However, we called prior to our stay, and talk to a rude lady at the reception. We met the same lady when we checked in, service was the same.. I can not understand how the different in service levels at the same hotel can vary from 0 to 10?
The people at the concierge and the people working in the breakfast section should share their secret, cause it’s amazing.

The room was clean, but so out of date. Problems with the showers, not able to turn the heat of in the bathroom and the “AC”? There was nothing but high sound and no cold air. On top of that the windows couldn’t be opened, and I was so hot and humid and it was cooler outside. So unpleasant.
I will never, ever go back.

Weird food from restaurant. I ordered chicken soup & it was shredded chicken cooked in water with cherries. Breakfast just ok. No facial tissue, hand towels, top sheet or luxury amenities. Weird stuffed cats in the lobby should have been a tip off. I stayed here 2 years ago & thought it was more than adequate. Seems like they have fallen on hard times.

Beautiful hotel. Clean. Comfortable bed. We stayed during a heatwave and our room never got cool. After two sleepless nights we had to switch rooms and were given a new room which was much cooler. However the shower was difficult to get into because the tub was very high, and only one bar to hold on. I managed but it could be a safety issue for some. I called room service to order a pot of coffee to the room and they had me hold on and then said it was 10:31 AM and they stop serving coffee at 10:30. Then someone came to my room with one cup of coffee.? Aside from the few glitches, this is a beautiful place to stay, convenient location, near to restaurants and shopping. They try their best to accommodate your needs and everyone is very pleasant and courteous. I would definitely stay here again but I’d check the AC in the room first.

The entrance of the hotel is sweet and pretty. The location is wonderful because it’s right next to the underground tube station and very central in Kensington. That was the best part of the hotel, the location. However, I stayed on the first floor and the AC barely worked. The air was blowing well and you couldn’t adjust it. I should’ve complained, but I didn’t and at checkout, I let them know and they didn’t seem to care. I should have complained before. So if you find the AC, not working complain immediately. The amenities were OK. For such a nice hotel, the amenities were not that great. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are really tiny. But if you want a very central hotel that is decent then it’s fine for that.

The breakfast was fresh, but the hot meals were only lukewarm. The heating and air conditioning, as needed, worked good. The television was broken as soon as we moved in, but it was fixed right away. The coffee maker was broken as we moved in and it was fixed right away with a brand new machine. The electrical panel was loose and so the USA plug did not work until it was repaired. Those aren’t the kind of snafus I expect from a hotel of this quality. Location is perfect for what we wanted. The doorman were great and the concierge was very helpful on recommending restaurants. The receptionist at check-in was difficult to understand because of a heavy accent and or poor English.

Amazing location right near a Tube stop that got us to everywhere we wanted to be. A Tesco Express was right across the street for things for the room. The room itself felt safe, but was a bit quirky. TV could not connect to streaming svs. CC was not available on the TV, which was a considerable issue for one in our party. All considered, enjoyed the stay, would gladly stay there again, and would heartily recommend all around.

Overall, we had an enjoyable stay here and we would stay here again. The building is incredible! The room had everything we needed. The only slight problem was how hot the room was, even with turning the room temperature all the way down, it didn't seem to make a difference. We still had a good sleep though. Breakfast was also good. My only slight criticism is that my coffee order was forgotten twice so I had to remind them to get me a coffee.
