I loved the stay here.
Check in was super easy and staff were super welcoming the entire week we stayed there.
The room was super cozy and comfortable.
We were right downtown to Ota , the shopping centers, lots of good restaurants and the train station.
I would stay here again. I love it.

The staff is very friendly and the hotel is right next to the Kamata station so location wise is unbeatable. Having said that, it is right next to the trains that run until midnight and restart at 4am, so you will hear the train nonstop every few minutes and by the few days you stay there have the jingle memorized. Expected just a better room layout, it was really small bad layout. I expected better beds and I know rooms are small at Tokyo, this is fourth time there but they were not the best places we've stayed. The beds are very uncomfortable, and the pillows as well could use an upgrade.

The train station jingle of “Kamata Koushinkyoku” is played every five minutes from 5am to midnight. Either the surrounding businesses should complain about this and ask them to tone it down a bit like every hour or so and only from 7am to 10pm. This tune was audible even on the 10th floor.

Good location near Kamata station and clean room, hairdryer and lots of amenities available. Only issue was how small the room was, it was difficult to navigate with 2 people, couldn't even have a big suitcase open unless it was on the bed. Also, you can hear the train station all night on the side we were on.

Check in was quick and easy with english speaking staff. I was quite geared up to use my meager japanese but didn’t even need it(hehe). I like the public bath the water was very hot which I love as a women. The room I knew was going to be small but as a solo traveler for only a night I was very comfortable. The bed is firm so I liked it but I know my younger sister would have probably not been as happy.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Amanek Kamata and would absolutely stay here again. It is less than a 5 minute walk from the train station, there are plenty of affordable food options and convenience stores. The area was safe and I never felt worried.

The staff at the hotel were very helpful and spoke English. The room we stayed in was very clean and spacious. The shower had amazing water pressure.

The only negative was the washer/dryer situation. There is only two washers and dryers. The dryer did not work properly so our clothes never fully dried. If you are doing laundry, find somewhere outside of the hotel instead. That was the only real downside.

Good location, a little far from central Tokyo but very near a train station and lot of restaurants and nightlife options including karaoke, hookah lounge, some shopping, rooms range from small, to very VERY small. They held our bags for us until check in and allowed us to pay 1500 yen to check in two hours early which was worth it to us. We came here a day before joining a group tour and stayed in a room that was small the next day we had to check out and check back in because consolations were included in the tour we’d just gotten to Japan about a week before the start of tour. We were given a comically small room to check into when we got back that day we were tired and it but the tour director got us moved to a slightly bigger room the next day so we actually stayed in three different rooms while we were at this property and that’s where I am getting the small to xxs. Staff was nice although we had minimal interaction after check in outside of leaving and picking up luggage. There is two small washers and two small dryers on site the front desk sells detergent and can give you change the washer was 300 yen the dryer needed about 600 yen to fully dry our clothes. There a Don Quijote.and 7-11 within very short walk some girls in our tour group got prescription glasses made and eye exams for very cheap at a place nearby.

Location was great, but that’s about it. Housekeeping is every 3 days but you can request for new towels. You leave the sign at the door and they leave two sets of towels in a bag and hang it on the door knob. Well, that’s not the case for us. We had to ask three times but they never gave us new ones and we ended up just picking up the towels ourselves at the reception. Room was small which is typical for a japanese hotel so no complains there. Overall, the service was not something I expected from a japanese hotel. We’ll book somewhere else next time.

5 mins walk to the JR station/ restaurant/ grocery/ donki/ Family mart. I feel the area is safe, but not to the standard that safe to walk alone at night for a single lady. Overall, hotel is small, no space for eating, but equipped with everything you need. Public bath is nice & clean to shower. They also provide pj to wear. You can rent hair curler/ iron, 2 set of washer & dryer to use, price is very reasonable. Staff is nice & informative.

Convenient location to Haneda Airport and train.

The hotel is clean and less than 5 min from the JR Kamata train station. Rooms are recently renovated and have a unique design that allows it to be used multiple ways. The platform for the beds allows luggage to slide underneath. And beds can slide together to permit benches and eating areas. Definitely will select again.

There is a direct bus from Haneda to JR Station Kamata. Take that when traveling with luggage.

The hotel room is small as expected. There is a hot spring on the second floor, accessible free of charge.
The hotel is literally 2 minutes from the Kamata station, which has a department store. The hotel is right next to a number of restaurants, slot gaming shops and karioke bars, with girls wearing sparkling dresses standing on the streets late at night.

It was a very average hotel. It seemed too small to do much. Laundry was inconvenient to do since the laundry room was small and the machines didn't include automatic detergent dispenser. Other than that it was fine. It was very clean and the staff were pretty helpful. It's best for people who enjoy shopping and those who want to connect to Haneda Airport quickly.

Small hotel just enough to stay, not much to do and the service was average. The area could feel a little sketchy but since we are a group we would hang out together. Has laundry services only on the first floor. Don’t expect rooms to be cleaned daily. A lot of smokers outside. I wouldn’t come back to this area. The city itself is nice.

Front staff members are extremely attentive and courteous. We stayed for a total of 9 nights at this hotel.

Bed is a bit small for our 6'3\" son but he said the bed was comfortable.

It's right next to the Kamata Station with MANY restaurants and shops nearby.

If the washers and dryers are a bit bigger then it'd be perfect.

Web page is inaccurate. It says there is daily housekeeping, while in fact there is no housekeeping until after three days. Also, there is no free luggage storage after checking out. I discussed these problems with the manager and he agreed there is a problem. Unfortunately Hotels.com provides no way to report problems on Web page except for providing a mixed review.

Hotel Amanek was in such a sweet spot as there were so many different restaurants, shopping mall, and even a Donqi quijote quite literally 30 seconds away. The rooms were clean and spacious, bathroom was spacious. However, there were only two washing machine and two dryers for the hotel. JUST TWO! We had to queue up and wait for the previous guest to complete their laundry. Also, we had to pay 100 yen to get a detergent which was quite funny. We didn't have to pay for detergent in other hotels. Also, the ironing boards and pyjamas were not available in each floors. We had to obtain it from the reception. Apart from that, overall experience was quite good!

The place was very convenient. Close to Don Quijote, train station, and dining places. The places around the hotel are outdated but still very safe to walk around. The room was quite small, but it has everything. We love the onsen and complementary pj. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. This was our second holiday in Japan. This hotel was close to the train station which was a blessing after logging in 15-20K steps a day. The front counter staff was always friendly and accommodating. My wife complained that the hotel lacked a water filling station. We didn't take advantage of the Bath House but I hear it's quite the experience. We had 2 suites for a family of 4.....1 suite would not have been sufficient....There is not much room to walk around..... crammed. We found our hotel to be quiet and there was daily cleaning and Towel service if needed. There was a magnetic sticker system where you would decide how much cleaning services you required.... daily. Overall....we were very happy with our stay and we highly recommend this hotel.

The sense of the security of this hotel staffs were very poor! The room keys had Hotel Name and the room numbers are clearly visible! It’s not safe at all, what about if we drop the keys , or our purses have stolen??? The hotel staffs were not care when we mentioned about the security and left the keys with them at the hotel! The key’s were still the same situation when came beck to the hotel, and seemed like they don’t even care! Unbelievable!
