Male front desk staff was very rude when asked to call a cab. Seems service levels completely drop once you check out. Rooms were old, full of dust (especially under the beds) and in need of repair. Bath water never drained and our window nearly fell off it's screws. Hotel is cheap, but I'd rather go elsewhere next time. Daily breakfast was decent though and the hotel is conveniently located near Kamata station with many shops and restaurants around.

Black mold, hard beds, stains, and unclean beds.

Do not stay at this hotel as it is unsafe. The room and bathroom were covered in black mold which cause respiratory issues with myself, my wife, and my daughter.

It claims to have air conditioning, but it does not. They only have heat! Ok top of that, the beds were hard as rocks and the pillows are filled with very hard plastic pellets that are terrible to sleep on.

Between the heat, the terrible beds, the rocky feeling pillows, and the black mold, me and my family were up all night, sneezing, wheezing, and unable to sleep because of this plus sweating, plus back problems.

This was our last night in Tokyo before travelling home and we didn't get any rest.

The breakfast was OK. Not great, but OK.

When speaking to the staff about not having AC, they looked at me as though I was stupid and just said that the \"AC is heat\" then provided me with a bulky fan to bring up to my room that didn't actually cool anything down.

Aside from this, before getting into the bed, there were a bunch of pubic hairs everywhere which makes me think they didn't clean the bed sheets but just remade the bed after someone else slept in it.

Do not give this company any business as they do not care about the health and comfort of their customers.

They updated the lobby and that's it. Everything else was dated. The food was undercooked, please avoid the eggs and chicken. I refuse to use a coffee machine that was ancient. The AC did work in the triple room. But those beds left everyone in pain.

The room was quite small for the 3 of us. The beds were too hard and was given 1 pillow each. Our room had 2 full size beds and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was much more comfortable than the bed. Restroom toilet paper was not new. It only had a quarter of a roll left. Other than that it was ok for the price.

Great place to stay for the notable lack of tourists. The hotel is very dated, and the mattress in our room was disgusting - brown stains all over it. Noticeable as they just had a flat sheet covering it. I don’t think it’s been changed since the hotels inception honestly. Pillows were tiny and hard. Room was very hot but they kindly brought an evaporative cooler up for us to use.

We booked one night stay due to our flight being cancelled and all other hotels near Haneda airport were fully booked or price was way above the airline reimbursement allowance. The hotel is very run down, the room was very old and quite dirty, the bathroom had mold and a strong smell, however it was quite late at night and we had to go back to the airport very earlier next morning, and my child was very tired, so we had no other option than staying for the night. Absolutely nothing worked in the room, we couldn’t even turn the TV on.

This was a great place to stay as far as convenience goes. The train station is only 2 or 3 blocks away, and there are tons of shops and food options nearby.

The staff was very friendly, and you have the option to skip housekeeping if you want. We left this hotel as home base and left out suitcases behind so we could make day trios and speend the weekend elsewhere. They still left us extra towels on the door while we were gone, which was sweet and appreciated.

The room itself was small and cramped. 3 beds, a bathroom and shower, a short hallway with a wardrobe, and thats it. It would have been less cramped with 2 people.The air conditioning didn't work the best and started blowing hot air at one point. You can open the window, which helps. There were coin laundry machines next to the lobby. The machines wash AND dry your clothes, and have a soap dispenser built into them, so no need to find soap at the store! I'd never seen that before, so that was cool. They're small and save space, so that means you can't wash a full size load of clothes. But, to refresh a couple days worth of laundry is nice.

All in all, it was great for the price and the convenience!

If you have an allergic rhinitis, don't try to consider staying here because carpet is not clean there's too much dust. Bed and pillows very uncomfortable, very hard! Although good thing about the hotel staff are friendly and location is near train station.

We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed how close this hotel was to Kamala Station. Contrary to hotels.com info however, this property does indeed have a well staffed front desk. We stayed at other places in Japan that did not have a front desk, necessitating codes to enter and assuming the same here from the erroneous info, it was necessary to make costly phone calls to the hotel only to finally learn (when we found someone to help us in English) that they did indeed have a front desk.
An adequate place to stay nonetheless.

However, the air-conditioner cannot work in the triple room (but it works fine in our twin room). As per the staff, the air-conditioner is cut in Winter. Although they put the fans in the room and advised to open the windows, it was noisy outsides and we cannot open the windows while raining. I hope the air-conditioner won't be cut in the future.

There are a number of things to explore around the area.

The hotel staff is nice and we can leave our luggage after we check out.
There is a mini fridge in the room and a mircowave on the 4th floor. But the room is not sound proof

hotel rate night was reduced to 50 USD. a very good deal. Got medium size room.. clean. comfortable bed. safe area. Tried to book one more night next day I was told regular rate 100USD for a smaller room. Hotel is extremely difficult to find even for taxi. but it is not so far from Kamata station if you find the hotel first. from a bridge you have to go down the stairs and hotel will be on the right site almost at the corner from the side street.

Vista Kamata - great location, good price & staff

From check-in to check-out, the staff at the front desk were great, especially Thi Diep Nguyen. We left a comment card with the staff to attend to some of the bathtub tiles. The location is very convenient for accessing the JR Kamata station. The hotel is clean, quiet, and comfy. As the hotel is beside the railway tracks and a major street, you can expect a bit of noise if the window is open. With the window closed, it is still noisy. The A/C works but is a bit on the weak side; one can only control the speed of the fan, not the temperature. There is a breakfast buffet, however we did not try it. We've stayed at the Vista Kamata before, we would definitely stay there again, and would recommend it.

Stayed only a night before our flight early the next morning. Checked in at night time and asked for taxi to airport early in the morning. Hotel staff offered us their shuttle service which turned out way cheaper than taxi. And at that early hour, it was like personal service becasue we were the only ones on the shuttle. Left a bag when we checked out in a hurry. Contacted hotel through expedia and the response was quick and helpful. Arrangement was made to have the items mailed.

Convenient getting to Hameda Airport

I choose this hotel to spend our last night in Tokyo for the following reasons: one- it was rated a four-star hotel (later, found out the rating differ from search to the next); two- it was close to a train station and three-the hotel has a shuttle to Hameda International airport within 30 minutes. This was important as we were flying out back to Canada the next day. Having spent over $400 CAD, I was disappointed with making this decision. I felt I could have done better.
I’ve booked a room was for two adults with a requested for an additional bed. When we arrived around 8pm, we were told that the room cannot accommodate three adults. It was not possible to get an additional bed as housekeeping were not available after 3pm. The receptionist was very courteous and sympathetic but said that there is nothing she can do. We had to get another room. The total cost for two rooms were over $400 CAD. This was an unexpected cost. For the price, I certainly did not feel that I received the value for money. The hotel was three-star at best. The rooms were small. Beddings were thin and didn't look very clean. There was only one pillow and it well used and did not offer much neck support. This contributed to not having a good night sleep. The walls between the rooms were thin as we heard noise from other rooms until late at night. Other negative point was that the shuttle offered by the hotel was not cheap. The price was twice the cost to take a public bus by the Kameda Train station

The room is spacious which is quite different from other Japanese hotel. All facilities are provided, you don’t need to bring any toilet stuffs. Really recommend, especially for anyone who will arrive and depart from Haneda airport. Truly convenient!

Very conveniently located close to shops and train station. My sisters and I were pleased with the space of the room (Comfort Double Room for three people).

The only issue I have is that my mother who is in the Compact Twin Room complains that the toilet is quite cramp and the tap is too long and inconvenient to do washing.

However, my family is overall rather satisfied with the hotel and its convenience and would recommend it to our friends if asked and may even stay here again if we decide to come back to Tokyo.

Good one night stay for early Haneda flight.

We have early international flight. Weighing pro and cons staying at kamata, 30mins reaching terminal vs other tourist places in tokyo (may need 40min~1 hour) I settled the first for peace of mind. Obviously the hotel is no fril but for only one night stay, it is fine. If i had choice, i would recmend to book frestca hotel at kamata, which is slightly closer.
