-- Very nice staff. We asked them to keep multiple large and heavy pieces of luggage till our departure after checkout, but they were very accommodating.
-- Very clean and kept nicely although the facility shows its age.
-- Free laundry use (need to pay for the detergent if you don't bring any) Two washers and dryers.
-- Supermarket next door. Very convenient for takeout food/drink.
-- Close to Kamata station and shops nearby. Many choices for eateries and shopping.

Cons:
-- Our room was pretty small. It was hard to go around for two people with two large suitcases on the floor.
-- One of the routes to/from the station has quite a few hostess bars and there were people standing outside in the evening (to lure customers in?). We were OK with it, but a female guest may feel uncomfortable walking by herself in the evening.

We stayed in the twin bed room with 2 kids, and the room was so small that there was almost no space to move around the beds. I can recommend this hotel just to take a sleep. But the facility looked new and clean.

The hotel is very convenient with a very local vibe. A 10 minute walk to Kamata station. Easily reachable via local train to Hanaeda Airport. Tourist spots, Disney land. Love that convenience store is open 24 hours and a 100 yen store. Overall we were happy in our stay and would be back for sure. Tokyo needs several vacations to see.

Really convenient hotel with basic sleep and shower with walking distance to Kamata Mega Train Station and Airport Shuttle $2.80 each way to Haneda and 25 minutes to Tokyo from Haneda Station.

I chose this hotel because it was walking distance from a train station, and it was on sale however I am disappointed. The room and bathroom were very small and dark. Our luggage barely fit in and I struggled to read and use my phone because the lighting was so dim. Also, our tv didn't work. And, just a word of warning, we read online that the hotel offered a complimentary laundry service. We thought this meant it would be free, but this was NOT the case. It ended uo costing us 4700 Yen (over 50 Aussie dollars) to get 8 items washed. Maybe we should have double checked if it was free before sending our clothes out, but either way we really would have appreciated it if the hotel had a price list in the room, or if the staff gave us a quote when we took our clothes to the front counter. In the end, not happy with our time here.

Economical hotel close to Haneda airport

We chose this location since we were flying out of Haneda the next day. It's about a 15 minute bus ride from the nearby station, which is convenient. The hotel is fine, but probably our least favorite of everywhere we stayed in Japan. It feels like a basic chain and meets all of your needs. The breakfast options could be better. Overall, it was just fine but I would probably look at other options in the future.

Value for money Hotel with Breakfast

Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Hotel location was within 10 mins walk from JR Kamata & 25mins - 30mins walk from Local line station.
Local line train to Haneda airport within 25mins.
As per other reviews, there are some night life activities street across.
Don't worry, they will not disturb you and your family members and alternative is walk thru the Kamata Sunrise shopping street and you can completely bypass them.

This is a no frills hotel.

I stayed fourteen nights at Urbain Tokyo Haneda Kamata and had no issues.
As expected of a Japanese hotel, the room was small.
Friendly and eager to please staff. They speak enough English for visitors to understand.
Great location with bang for the buck.
Surrounded by a 5-10 minute walk to convenience stores, supermarkets, coffee shops, Japanese restaurants, KFC, McDonalds and department store on top of JR station... Great Kamata neighborhood.
For exploring central Tokyo, best deal is the 750yen JR day pass from Kamata stn. Three stops to JR Yamanote line that covers most tourists attractions in the city.

I will definitely stay here again next time I travel to Tokyo.

Wouldn't book if you are a non-smoker

This hotel smells of cigarette smoke, it's not a smell you get use too. Spoke with the staff there was nothing they could do. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to a JR station which was good if you have the rail pass don't have to keep paying for tickets. There isn't a lot of food options around the hotel. The room is quite old and you can hear everything else that is happening in the hotel. If you only staying for a few nights and are a smoker this hotel is probably fine for you.

Very nice hotel. Will definitely come back again. Room was small but comfortable for a family with 1 child. The staff were friendly and can speak a little bit of english.

Breakfast was provided and it was OK with this kind of price. WiFi available and very fast. The location is only 5 minutes or less walk to Kamata Station and there is a direct airport limousine bus to the Haneda Airport from the station which is very convenient.

The hotel was very nice, and so were the staff. The room was also nice, clean, and comfortable. The hotel was about 5 minutes walking from Kamata Station, and 15 minutes away from Keikyu-Kamata Station. There were a lot of yakinikku restaurants near by, and a nice shopping street.

Fantastic hotel - Station nearby - Go anywhere!

The hotel was fantastic, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was basic, but very nice. The room was well maintained, the staff were always friendly. The English isn't too strong, but I don't go to another country and expect English. They were a real delight. I would definitely recommend this hotel for both business and pleasure. One thing to note, late at night there are some.... people of the night on a nearby street, offering you to come to one of the many massage parlours. But they do not harass foreigners.

BANG FOR YOUR BUCK

For the Tokyo area, you absolutely cannot beat the value of this hotel. Here are some key points that I was curious about before staying here:
1. The Kamata train station (which connects to every direction in the JR rail system) is a 2 minute walk, or 3 minutes if you're a slow walker.
2. 360 degrees around the train station, there are HUNDREDS of restaurants and shops, money exchange, banks, atms, you name it.
3. Kamata is not a red light district, like I've read in previous reviews. There is one pub with a pink sign on it. I can hardly call that red light.
4. The breakfast is free, and will fill you good for your morning. It's free, you can't expect Vegas style buffet. (I attached the pictures).
5. Yes, the rooms are tiny, but so are 90% of other rooms in Tokyo.
6. They provide you with free soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, and even a hairbrush.
7. The wifi is iffy. Ask for a pocket wifi if you're placed on a corner room.
8. Staff is polite and respectful, will help you with what they can.

It's a nice clean hotel. The room is clean but small. The bed for a double is between a twin and a double for American standard. Hotel provides free all you can eat breakfast, but selection is minimum. Staff is friendly, courteous and helpful.

The hotel is convenient and close to Haneda Airport with a local bus a few blocks away that takes you straight to the airport in a few minutes. They give you good information at the reception and are helpful despite limited English. We had the room with small double bed. It's very small and not very comfortable. I would not choose it again. The room was small.

The hotel is near a JR station which is very convenient and it only requires one transfer to get to Haneda airport. However, the surroundings near the hotel at night feels a little unsafe since we spotted quite a few drunkards around on the way back to the hotel. Overall, it is fine with us as we do not stay out too late!

Small room but good location

I stayed here for 5 days and my first impression was that the room was VERY small. I was warned about this so I asked for a double room but it was still a Tetris game trying to store my luggage in a way that would still allow me to walk in and out of the room (I had 2 bags). There were no closets and no drawers so if you are not a light packer, you may struggle a bit. I did enjoy having an empty fridge I could use especially since I did not include breakfast in my stay.

I was very happy with the location as it was 10 minutes walking distance for the JR lines and 15 minutes for the Tokyo line which made it very easy to commute around the city. Ueno had a lot to offer and I enjoyed exploring the area.

The staff were very friendly and helpful though their understanding of English is not good. The room was cute-everything was small but we loved all the amenities. 5 days 4 nights stay at this hotel, located within 10 mins walk from JR Kamta station.

Staffs service is ok, not really friendly but will help if requested.

Room and bed is small, didn't expect much especially in Tokyo area.

Cleaner of the hotel is helpful and always ensure clean towels are provided outside the door when "Do not disturb" sign is out up. Thank you.

Solid basic hotel close to JR station

We were looking for a simple room in Tokyo close to a JR station. This hotel fit perfectly. Room was small but clean, with a fridge, A/C and a decent double bed that fit two Americans comfortably, located five minutes from JR Kamata Station where you can catch a Keihin-Tohoku line train north through Shinagawa/Tokyo/Ueno or south into Yokohama.

The staff were consistently kind and helpful. I don't believe they speak much English, if any, so please keep that in mind.

Breakfast was mostly various bread products, plus bananas and salads, coffee and juices. There were two washers and two dryers that were free to use; the front desk sold soap for 50 yen a bag. Pretty much all the basic toiletries were provided, even pajamas and slippers.

The area between the hotel and the station is a little sketchy with a lot of flashing lights and pachinko parlors, but the hotel itself is on a quieter block. There's tons of restaurants and shops in the area, and even more on the east side of the station.

We flew into Haneda and took the shuttle bus direct to JR Kamata Station for a few hundred yen.

A clean and quiet hotel with convenient amenities. The hotel room is exactly as shown. It comes equipped with a fridge, a kettle and a blow dryer. There is a Lawson 100 that's only a 1-2 minute walk nearby where you can purchase food and snacks all for 100 yen each. The staff don't speak much English, but they are very friendly and try to help and work through things as best they can. Breakfast includes bananas, breads and baked goods, juice, coffee/tea and usually a salad. Great location and a great place to explore Tokyo from if you hold a JR pass.

good location on Tokyo outskirts

Hotel is on the outskirts of Tokyo but still within JR Tokyo day pass range. Near JR station and shopping street with eating places, cafes, 100 yen shops etc. Breakfast open early, from 5am onwards. Small range but satisfying: bread, salad, fruit. Wi-fi connection is poor [like many hotels in Japan]. Room is small but managed to squeeze in lots of amenities.

A nice Tokyo suburb to relax

We felt very relax when we stayed in the hotel. The facility is new and clean. The cleaners are very professional. While they were cleaning other rooms or the corridor, there made no noise at all.

The receptionist Mr.Tomoki was really outstanding in his service. When I misplaced the remote control of the TV set, he got me another one for me to use until I found it. When the reception of the wifi signal was too weak, he helped to install a wireless modem in my room.

The town is small and most roads are narrow yet the whole environment is clean. Almost all houses have a few pots of flowers or grow a few trees. It is so comfortable to stroll along the lanes and the river bank any time of the day.

There are plenty of shopping and dinning in and around the railway station.

The hotel is about 10 min. walk from the railway station and can be located easily. It takes about 20 min. by train from Tokyo train station and about the same time from the Haneda airport.

A reasonably big room in Tokyo, Japan

Stayed single standard room. Reasonably priced for a quieter side of Tokyo, Japan. 20min train ride away from Tokyo station. Breakfast was good enough (Range of breads, juices, coffee and salad) since it was 'free'. Washer & Dryer can be used for free. Washing powder available upon request.

밤비행기로 새벽3시쯤에 카마타역 西口에 도착했는데요. 역에서 도보3분정도의 가까운 거리에, 그 시간에도 체크인이 가능해서 좋았어요. 프런트 직원분들도 친절하시고, 방도 깔끔했어요. 역주변에 돈키호테, 쇼핑몰, 상점가가 있어 쇼핑도 편했고, 東口에서 하네다공항까지 일반버스로 15분전후(세네정거장) 거리라서 돌아갈때도 편했습니다.

実質7時間くらいしか滞在しませんでしたが、清掃が行き届いていて清潔でした。
また、禁煙室が満室だったようで喫煙室を予約したのですが、リクエストで禁煙室をアサインしてくれました。
部屋は狭いですが、大きなスーツケースを2つ広げるくらいの広さはあります。

場所も居心地も良い

駅からもそれほど離れておらず、また蒲田の飲み屋街にも近く、とても便利な立地です。部屋は必要十分な広さと設備、とても清潔で居心地は良かったです。チェックアウト11時までなのもゆっくりできて良かった。

エクスペディアにはチェックイン15時と書かれていたので15時に行ったら、チェックインは16時からですと言われ1時間無駄な時間を過ごしました。年末年始でチェックイン時間が変わっていたのかもしれないが、それだったら蒲田ではなく他で時間を潰したかったので、きちんと記載してほしいです。

駅から近いし飲食店やスーパーなども近いので便利でした。携帯などの充電器が設置されていないので、持ち込まないといけないのが不便でした。

高校生の息子と小学生の娘と3人宿泊予定で、小学生添い寝無料プランの2人部屋を予約しました。予約した後「3人での宿泊には大変狭いお部屋になります事を御承知下さい」というメールが届きましたが、夜遅くの到着、朝早くの出発なので、お値段優先でそのままにしていました。宿泊当日、カウンター横のお部屋が空いている様で、夜中チェックインの方も居るのでうるさいかもしれませんが、そちらの方が広いので、宜しければお使い下さい、と案内されました。わずか1泊しかしないお客なのに、それは丁寧に対応して頂き、本当に感激しました。こじんまりとしたホテルですが、宿泊客から毎年高評価を得ている事が入口に表示してある理由がわかりました。

접근성, 청결도, 교통, 가격 Good!

하네다 공항에 새벽에 도착하여, 심야 버스를 타고 카마타역에 이동하여 숙소를 찾았습니다.

생각보다 쉽게 호텔을 찾을수 있었고, 호텔 객실의 상태가 매우 청결하여 첫 인상도 좋았습니다.
다만 공간이 협소한 부분은 감안은 했지만 조금 불편하였습니다.

호텔의 위치는 JR 카마타역이 근처에 있어 동경 JR 프리패스를 통해 동경 시내 관광하기가 편했고, 동경시내 주요 위치 접근성도 좋았습니다.

하네다 공항까지는 버스 순환선이 있어 이동도 편리하며, 여행 가방이 기내 사이즈 사이즈라면 역의 락커에 짐을 맡기고 시내 관광 후 출국시 짐을 찾아서 출국하면 마지막 날까지 불편하지 않게 관광이 가능합니다.

하네다 공항을 통해 입/출국 한다면 추천!

出掛けてホテルに帰ってきたら部屋に入れませんでした。ルームキーのなにかの情報が違ったみたいでロビーに持って行ったらすぐに直してくださったのでよかったのですが入れなくて焦りました。そのほかはとってもよかったです。

フロントの方の対応が丁寧でした。駐車場が利用できなかったのですが、近くたくさんコインパーキングがあり、その件も教えてもらっていたので困らずにすみました。
