The facility is beautiful! We couldn’t have been more satisfied with the staff and their helpfulness. When we got to our room, all had been cleaned except for the floors. The rug needed vacuuming and the bathroom had hair on the floor so hadn’t been swept. I think it was an oversight (things happen) and the management got it cleaned up right away. Other than that, the location was perfect, the facilities were beautiful, and we would definitely stay there again. Everyone was kind and friendly and we enjoyed our stay of 4 days in the heart of the historic district.

We loved Beaufort Inn. When we arrived staff at the front desk welcomed us and took us on a tour of the facility. She was so very welcoming and helpful. We loved being able to walk to the downtown shops and restaurants from our room. We simply loved it! If we go to Beaufort, SC again, we will not stay anywhere else but at the Beaufort Inn. It was wonderful!

I booked a 'courtyard king' thinking it would be an interior courtyard room. It was not. Recommend calling to confirm location if meaningful. We faced a street under construction. The room was clean - surprised no robes or bathmat. No blackout curtains but we had eye masks. A few items would have made the experience more luxurious - consistent with the price.

Room was not clean especially bathroom which was also out of shampoo. Extremely dusty rooms. While website shows pancakes etc. the breakfast was biscuits and gravy with a small amount of fruit and cheap donuts. The buildings outdoor areas are nice but they should lose the tacky couches. Lots of potential here but I felt they missed the mark with dirty room and inferior breakfast.

The staff was very pleasant, professional and yet very warm and welcoming. The rooms /cottages were absolutely lovely with a wonderful southern charm in their decor, the extra touch provided in the furnishings and all the extra amenities too. Perfect cooling & heating unit that was very quiet and easy to operate, ceiling fans, USB plug ins for phone charging and a great TV with plenty of channels to suit everyone as well.The breakfast was a very nice array of hot & cold breakfast items to suit all appetites.

We got married here 15 years ago and came back to celebrate our anniversary. They’ve done a good job maintaining a nice place. The rooms could use an update but were clean, the staff were super nice, and the location is perfect for walking around and checking out local stores and restaurants.

The only downside we saw was the breakfast. They always have the same, small biscuits and just change the meat. The first morning we had bacon which was good, but the second morning it was basically chicken nuggets. A little more variety and freshness would go a long way.

Overall, good time and we’ll likely come back for another anniversary trip.

The Beaufort Inn rises to the top so far, in Beaufort stays. We’ve stayed at the Rhett House and Cuthbert House. Different experiences in each. The grounds are immaculate, superior and expansive with a unique layout - offering room and cottage stays. Ample room for leisure and sitting outside. The main house is fine and clean, and where breakfast is served. Our C. cottage was immense and adorable with its own courtyard. The a/c worked wonderfully and it had all we needed except no Kleenex. Staff are helpful. The only differences in your experience here vs. the others is your B&B intricacies - for example… no wine and cheese hour; no table service for breakfast; no special treats in the room for you or your dog, no welcome drink. So your experience is less personalized. With that said, if you’re looking for an immaculate stay with off-street parking, with a light breakfast, and a super comfortable bed and plush white towels - also being walking distance to absolutely everything - this is your place.

The breakfast was enough if you like what they have. Little biscuits were good with several choices of jam which was great. That bacon one day and maybe sausage the other. They always had a yogurt parfait section of a simple. Everybody seemed to eat at the same time so it was tough for them to keep up with demand, but it did feel like they put care into everything they did and made.

The shower had lots of mold and the floor was dirty! My friends room had filthy curtains, dust on all over baseboards and wall. You pay too much for this unkept Inn. They need to do a deep clean!! Cleanliness is everything! I would give 5 stars if they would clean the rooms!

Unfortunately this ended up being one of the dirtiest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. It was quite disappointing being that we were traveling for both my birthday and our engagement. And it’s not a cheap place either. The room was motel-level for a 4 star price.

The room was absolutely filthy — layers of dust, mold, dirty floors. It was very clear that the housekeeping here only changes the bed sheets and doesn’t touch anything else. I ended up bringing it up to guest services and Collette was wonderful and immediately remedied the situation by upgrading us to a much better and cleaner room. (5 stars for the front desk staff)

They charge a hefty fee of $90/night to bring our 2 small pups so we had an extra $180 charge for essentially nothing because the rooms are dirtier than anything a dog could ever possibly do.

The property itself is adorable and in such a great location. I just wish they would actually clean their rooms properly. There’s a difference between old and just plain dirty.

When you first enter you are greeted by the staff who were super friendly. Thier attention to detail was great. They tell you a bit about the history of the Inn and a tour and actually bring you to your room. Super clean room with fresh linens. Highly recommend if your going to Beaufort.

We were in the original inn. The people were excellent and our small dog was very comfortable and welcomed. Our room was definitely older with a few things that could use some attention. Our sink we missing a stopper, the hot water faucet in the tub was loose and sometimes didn't work, the lights blinked when first turned on, etc. Mostly little things but it could use attention.

Checked in last almost 11PM or 12AM the women at the desk had signed out waiting for her relief. She took me back to the cabana type room separate from the main building HOWEVER... It was VERY cold for SC in the 30's and the room had mini-split heating system which I thought she had put on or that they were automatic...The long and short is that we FROZE that night. It was so bad we got up and just left instead of walking around town. Someone should of had that heat working. Other then that it was wonderful

Phenomenal check in! We were in a pinch for parking, and the front desk attendee , helped us out immensely. Very courteous and very professional. Our room was beautiful, appointed with period architecture. The only drawback I would note was the television was “standard definition“, it’s hard to get used to that after seeing high definition for many years. 😵‍💫
Wonderful experience —if we’re ever in the area again, we will definitely come back here.

We were unfortunately not in the main inn , but instead were given a room in the carriage house out back and up two flights of stairs. It was a cold night and the room was very drafty. You can actually see daylight around the sides of the doors. The floors were very dirty and could stand a deep cleaning. They were so dusty under the bed that I could not stow my luggage there. Breakfast was sparse and just adequate.
The inn itself is very nice and the location is wonderful as it is located right in town and you can walk everywhere easily. Would choose another option however next time we visit the area.

The property is charming but the bathroom has some mold. There was paper stuffed in a crack of the bathroom window. There was a very bright light outside the room. The blinds did not block the light so sleep wasn't the best. There are stairs to get to the room I was in and the clerk did not offer to help with bags up the stairs.
