We had a very nice stay at The Rhett House. Staff was wonderful. breakfast on the veranda was delightful. Parked mere feet from the rear entrance. Unfortunately, the city has some construction going on close by which was a bit noicey and has some street closures nearby. Otherwise, it was very good and we will visit again.

We never got to stay at the Rhett hotel. We used hotels.com, put in the date we needed but did not realize that the AP inserted the first available date and not the date we had requested. As a result we paid for an expensive night we could not use. Buyer beware.

Parking was good but should have been clearly marked with signs. Patrons should have been informed that the Rhett House was being repaired all across the front of the B & B. The snacks, cookies, and desserts were great. All the staff members were helpful and welcoming except for one when we first got into town and needed help with directions and questions. We enjoyed our brief stay.

Checkin was easy. Room was ready when we checked in at 2pm. Room is comfortable, beds soft and property is clean. Nice touches such as a charcuterie board at 5pm daily and deserts at 7. Feee Coffee and read provided in the living room. Breakfast included but we haven’t had that experience yet

All needs a refresh, outside porches look as though they could fall anytime. Bath room old, and not in a good way. Room 5. Rug in room needs a wash. Mark served us breakfast, he was great! He kept us warm in front of the fire too. Location was good, walkable to restaurants and stores and waterfront.

For a stay in Beaufort, SC, for my money, the Rhett House Inn cannot be beat. It is located in the heart of the historic district and within walking distance of almost everything. We parked our car on Friday afternoon and didn't see it again until we checked out on Sunday. In between, we walked to various sites of interest and restaurants throughout the day. BTW, a cooked-to-order breakfast, coffee & tea are included, as well as afternoon cheese and evening dessert. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Wonderful staff but definitely needs to be updated and refreshed inside the house. Rugs were dirty and the decor does not fit the time party. Smelled moldy and musty inside. Walls weren’t clean. Definitely needs some sprucing up!

The Rhett house takes you to great southern hospitality at its best. The Inn sits on a corner of downtown that is walkable to many restaurants and steps away from the bay. The checkin was easy and offerings of cheese tray followed by deserts was a great bonus to the spacious cottage room we had. The next morning we sat on the veranda for a delightful breakfast. The Rhett House Inn is a must for hospitality and location.

Robin and all the staff I encountered were wonderful. The property’s downtown location is very convenient, yet quiet. The sitting room, kitchen, porch, and yard were lovely, welcoming, and inviting. However, overall my stay was disappointing.
I stayed in a so-called street-level room which still entailed steep stairs; had window a/c unit instead of central air and was quite damp until a dehumidifier was brought in. (Thank you, Robin, for the cheerful, can-do attitude you displayed throughout my stay!)
Unfortunately, a/c unit and dehumidifier were running constantly, making sleep difficult. Upper level rooms seemed to be centrally air conditioned, resulting in lower level rooms providing poor value for money
by comparison. Also, I was charged a “resort fee” without an adequate explanation, or amenities and services which would justify such a fee, unless it was intended to cover hors d’oeuvres, dessert or breakfast, which, based on reviews and the property’s marketing material, I expected to be slightly more lavish.
Breakfast was good, but limited as to choices without an up-charge. Wait staff were excellent and having breakfast on the porch was a treat.
Had my room not been so disappointing, this would have been a most enjoyable stay.

Someone tried to enter our room after all the service workers were gone. We blockaded the door with furniture in the room because it was late at night and we were afraid to come out of the room until the service workers arrived early in the morning. We didn’t not sleep that night out of fear. We brought it to management attention. There was no retribution for how unpleasant and unsafe we felt. It was a wasted night with no refund. Management did apologize while we explained everything over breakfast. It was totally a waste of money and worst than that it was a terrifying experience with no reimbursement for the agony.

I day we arrived on May 7th, the staff was on point, friendly helpful. Cheese plate for happy hour, great wine selection, no apps though as stated. Cookies out, we had dessert at restaurant. Didn't see those.
Breakfast was not as advertised. No silver service. Waited a while. Had coffee from Kierug and dispenser which was empty. The blueberry pancakes were really good that was it. Disappointed. Over charged for what we received by far.
Wifi didn't work unless you are outside.
The lemon water in the front room with coffee and ice tea was left empty with lemons in it from the day before. We asked several time for fresh water and ice. No one ever brought it.
Staff at desk on the 8th was not helpful, even when asked, she left to get and never brought it. We had to go to the kitchen to get some.
We were given a scan code at check out to tip the staff, and keep receiving through emails, to tip the staff. We tipped the server generously and thanked him.

We stop here annually on our drive back to Ohio from Sarasota. If you like quaint charm, this is the place. They have nice touches like wine & cheese in late afternoon & cookies in the evening.

Beautiful place to stay. My only complaint is there was an event on-site so no parking. I arrived around 5:30pm and had to park 3 blocks away from the Inn. In the future I would probably check in ahead of time to see if there is an event or show up right at check in or just before to secure a spot behind the Inn. The next morning when I woke up there were plenty of parking spots after the event ended.

It is a beautiful well maintained old property in a lovely setting. The only negative was a bizarre women at the front desk who was rude to the guests. It was actually a topic of conversation between the guests. She tried to shame me for booking through a third party, Expedia, on check in. We did mention it to management and hopefully the problem has been addressed because it really is a charming old house in a very quaint and beautiful neighborhood, and the rest of the staff are fantastic.

We'd definitely want to come here again. We were 2 couples and had the pleasure of staying in rooms 19 & 20. I thought that the room rate was a bit much but we were committed to visiting Beaufort. We were thrilled that our room rate included the entire 2 bedroom cottage which included kithcen, living room, dining room and screened in porch. We absolutely loved it.
