I had an excellent and relaxing stay here! I was slightly apprehensive before staying because the facility is a former motor lodge but my room was nice, clean, and quiet. The coffee shop on the facilities was also very good. A great place to stay in Beaufort if you want to explore the city entirely on foot!

We were given a ground floor room. The room was exceptional!! Clean, smelled great, nice little fridge with a small freezer section that worked wonderfully. We loved the kohler rain shower head in the shower, the tub was huge and a relaxing end to the day. The amenities for the bathroom were amazing, we loved the shampoo and body wash so much we are going to research the brand (BeeKind). We walked to dinner at Luthers rare and well done, in which we highly recommended, stopped off at Kilwins for ice cream , then to Java City News for a coffee to end the night. There were 2 chocolate chip cookies waiting on our door for us as a surprise.
The bed and pillows was extremely comfortable, the entire room is well equipped. We will definitely be back.
The only con that I would say is that the hotel is on the main drag in town and traffic can be a little loud, but died down and we had no issues sleeping.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for walking around town. We loved using the complimentary bikes and enjoyed the convenience of the coffee shop. The only drawback is that the pool is one that you need to drive and for a small fee. We didn’t use it but apparently has a lot to offer besides the pool.

My husband and I loved the location of this hotel. It is just a few steps from excellent restaurants, shops, and coffee shops. To call it a hotel seems wrong because while it appears to be a remodeled hotel with outside doors opening to the parking lot, it is precious and it is very well done with special touches that create a true boutique stay. There is plenty of outdoor seating, the rooms are just the right size for 2 adults, everything was clean, and the staff are so helpful and kind. It is right on Carteret Street, so the traffic going to and from the bridge can be bothersome. However, we did not mind it at all and barely noticed it. We will definitely be back!

Our first time to Beaufort and we stayed at the City Loft Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with friendly staff and convenient access to our room. The location is spot on if you want to walk the sites of downtown. We'll definitely make this a top stay for us next visit

I was surprised to see that this is a converted motel and rooms were walk ups. I must not have noticed this when looking for a place to stay in Beaufort. One thing I do not do is stay in a walk up due to safely. Despite this, the hotel was nicely renovated and the staff was very nice. They gave us coupons to their coffee/ cocktail spot and left homemade cookies on our door at night which was a nice touch. They also give access to Cat Island Club which is also a nice benefit. A little noisy next to the road but situated in a great location.

Last minute stay in downtown beautiful Beaufort SC was not a disappointment. Our stay at The Loft was a pleasant surprise and experience. From the Exceptional hospitality at check in….the room was fresh, clean with an updated bathroom featuring a very large shower and modern soaking tub. A special surprise were the plush robes. The beds were very comfortable as well. The on site coffee shop that doubled as a bar was a treat as well! When we arrived they had moved our original booking from two beds to one king bed. Unfortunately, since we had 3 adults, that did not work. They ended up giving us two rooms and comping one for their mistake (they were very nice and accommodating). After checking into the two rooms, one of them had a clogged sink. They could not fix it so they gave us another room. The new room had an issue with the door closing (it would not close unless you slammed it really hard). Both rooms had a lot of hair on the bed (maybe dog hair) and could have used a bit better of a cleansing. The staff was very nice but I think overall there needs to be an update on everything.

After he left my mom was doing her hair in the bathroom (we were getting ready to go to the Marine base) and she heard the door open. She peaked out of the bathroom and the security guard was in the room! He apologized and said that he thought they were already checked out and wanted to get a start on cleaning? What??? Who just walks into someones room? Very odd. Although the manager was very nice and the coffee was good in the little shop, I can't say that I would recommend this place after everything that happened in 2 days.

I paid for a suite and received a regular room. The suite was available but it was in the corner with no natural light, no outside seating as shown in the pictures, and had a mold odor (it seemed like we were in a basement). That was disappointing as it was our Wedding anniversary and we wanted some extra room for the kids. That room should actually be advertised at a discount, that's how bad it was. Outside of that the staff was very accommodating and nice. They recognized the poor quality of the "suite". I'm sure it is a regular issue.

We had a queen suite which was very nice but in the back corner so no table and chairs out front like some of the other rooms had but overall, the room was very nice. Two bathrooms, a sitting area, etc. The manager was great and recommended some local restaurants. They give you free cookies and $6 credit at the coffee shop, but we forgot to get our coffee! A bummer maybe they will honor it the next time we are in Beaufort!

Loved the hotel. Very nice and updated loved the shower and bathtub. Beds weren’t the most comfortable but overall loved the hotel. Close to everything. My family were in town for the Parris Island Marine graduation and it was perfect location for it.

The staff was very friendly, I’ve stayed here in the past and had a great experience, that’s why I chose to stay here this time. When I checked in everything seemed great. Got to the room, going over the room, the shower head was filthy, the GM came and scrubbed it, I mentioned there was mold above the entrance of shower, she said it was just stains, mentioned sink had black film in it, she cleaned that also. Spent the night, woke up the next morning, congested, got in shower, the smell from the water made me nauseous, then I noticed all the mold everywhere, took photos sent to my husband, it was black mold, took videos and photos of room, called office, she said she was going to refund for the inconvenience and that she was so sorry, seemed very sincere, I was extremely upset, as I’ve been sick from BM before, got home and get and email saying she came and cleaned and I was fine with the job she did and I waited til my stay was over to complain and that she was only partially refunding me now. Very disappointed and I feel that she only
