We checked in to find one of the dirtiest rooms I’ve seen. And the bed frame was sticking out from the wall making it a great way to hurt yourself. It really made me appreciate how much work hotels put in to keep their properties clean. They didn’t do it at Hilton Garden Inn. Staff was mixed. Sometimes helpful and sometimes seemingly annoyed. The location was fine. Extremely overpriced. At about $300 a night. Easy parking. Oh.. booked this because there was a pool. Pool was closed.

Signs in the room indicate that housekeeping would provide services every other day. They never entered our room. The woman at the front desk just said “I don’t control why they don’t do their job” when asked about it. This was the same woman who was talking on her cell speaker when we arrived to check in. We were treated like we were a major interruption. Otherwise the room was fine.

My reservation was canceled because the hotel had room repairs to make. I was told when I got there that they booked me at two other hotels instead, but neither had my reservation. I ended up getting a new reservation on my own at a different hotel and now I’m fighting to get refunded for a stay I didn’t even have. This is the worst online booking company you can use. Stay away!!!!

They property was great! We had a very comfortable stay here and the property is very well kept and clean. The staff is also very warm and friendly. Parking is also very easy and available. The only issue we faced was that we arrived at 6:15pm and our room was still not ready. Which for us was fine, we just found a location to eat some dinner, but for some on a tight schedule, this could be an issue.

The hotel is apparently woefully under staffed.
The front desk people were very friendly but at 4:30 p.m. they had no rooms ready and I gathered from the phone calls coming in, that there was no maintenance staff on duty.
The bed was just Ok but the room was spacious and very clean when we were finally allowed access.

Jocelyn at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately her cheery and helpful attitude was the only highlight. The breakfast situation was horrible. There was one, I repeat, ONE person taking breakfast orders, cooking, cleaning tables, replenishing (and keeping an eye on guests understanding that the continent breakfast wasn't included in a room stay) continental breakfast items and coffee. Unless there was some extreme situation, the hotel management should be ashamed. Personally, I think hotel management should have been down there helping because clearly this couldn't be the norm. The poor woman responsible for all that was looking for the single person at the front desk to come help bus tables and she couldn't leave during check-out. From the time you went downstairs to the time food hit your table, it was an hour and that was if there was only a few tables filled. The food was cooked to order and good, but it was uncomfortable being there because of the overwhelming duties of that single employee.

Front desk did not answer the phone. Pillows thrown at the bottom of the bed- no pillow cases on them. A pair of socks had been left on a shelf. Shampoo and lotion pumps almost empty. No hot water- barely warm in the shower. Of the 3 front desk employees we had contact with, only one was pleasant. Need to get their act together.

We stayed here on our trip to see our grandson become a Marine on Feb. 13. We particularly enjoyed our check-in with Jocelyn (forgive spelling); she was so very helpful. The accommodations were wonderful, and having the mini-fridge was a bonus. If our younger grandson decides to join the Marines, we will certainly stay here again!

I asked for the top floor, away from the elevator, as my son is special needs and has trouble sleeping with any noise. I called the hotel before we left Charleston, day of check in. We were not put on the top floor. The front desk woman changed us to the top floor. Upon arrival late that evening, the front desk man said we were changed to the 2nd floor. I was VERY upset, as I checked that morning. He blamed the woman I spoke with that morning. My son barely sleep, so neither did I nor his sisters. The next morning the front desk woman told me she was very upset over our being moved and said the man we checked in with had moved us himself. It was a horrible night. Also we paid for breakfast and it was absolutely horrible and they had run out over an hour before the breakfast was supposed to end!

Room was fantastic as well as the staff. We came down for my son's boot camp graduation. We were to check out on Friday after graduation unfortunately a family member had a medical emergency and we missed check out time (and had our dog in the room). The staff was as sweet as could be about it and so helpful.
Very clean hotel in a nice area. Very nice lobby area with bar/restaurant. Close and easy drive to Parris Island.
My other son is thinking about joining the Marines and is he does, this will be the only place I'll be booking.

Room was lovely. I booked a handicap accessible room through Expedia and when we arrived there was no record of it.
Also on arrival I was told there was a daily parking fee which we weren’t aware of, (for what I’m not sure, since it was just a parking lot!!!) One of the front desk personnel was not very hospitable, considering they were representing the hotel!
I will not be back.

2 nights of our stay our room smelled like raw sewage. The ice machine was broken on 2nd 3rd and 4th floors with signage on all three floors saying go to 2nd 3rd and 4th floor. Lady at check-out desk on 10/17/2025 seemed to have a been in a bad mood with her actions and facial expressions. The housekeeping staff was always nice.

Stayed for 03 nights with no maid service or restocking. Breakfast was more expensive than McDonalds=sad. Staff very unfriendly and could have cared less about me, shouldn’t they than me when I check out/not me to them, wasn’t I the reason they have a job. How can you list the pool as an amenity and it was closed for the season. You don’t have lifeguards so what difference does it make what season it is, by the was the first week in October is still swimming weather. Walls way to thin, when you hear the person laughing it’s way to thin. I will never ever stay at any Hilton property again. I will happily sleep in my car first. Better service and respect.

The hotel is a bit older and could use some updates. That said, the room was clean, the AC worked well, there were free toiletries like shampoo, and plenty of working outlets. I would’ve appreciated thicker pillows and a shower/tub combo. On the positive side, Kirsten at the front desk and Kristi in the breakfast area were both super friendly and are definitely an asset to this hotel.

The employees did not notify us of payment on self parking at check-in. All of them were very unfriendly weren’t help at all very unaccommodating. The whole staff should be fired. My dad ran a retail store and if they had acted like that there they’d been sent walking.
