The hotel staff was not present at the hotel even though it said front desk was staffed 10:00 to 14:00. They averaged 12 hour response times.

Lighting was very poor in hallways, stairways and the room.

If you don’t have an extension cord good luck using the very few outlets they have.

In the sink the cold water didn’t work, so the only option was very hot water.

The room had potential but lacked important details.

I was looking forward to this stay and it left me so disappointed. The owners need to move on or actually participate in operations.

For our room the bathroom was NOT in the room, it was private. Lots of shared space and everyone that was there was quiet and respectful. Check in was smooth and instructions were clear. Parking could be challenging. No discount offered though it was mentioned on Expedia.

We booked this place to stay one night and the place looks great except it does not have AC, this is a deal breaker for South Spain in the summer, their recommendation was to use a fan and open the windows that leave you no privacy.

The accommodation was beautiful, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. The room was spotless, and had a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to relax after a day of exploring Tarifa.

The location was ideal — close enough to enjoy everything the town has to offer, yet quiet enough for a restful night’s sleep. The communal kitchen was well equipped and the outdoor garden and terrace provided peaceful areas to relax.

Overall, Eole Tarifa Rooms exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish and comfortable place to stay in Tarifa. I would definitely love to return!

This is a charming historical building in the heart of Old Tarifa. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with a great shower. Special mention to Maria who went the extra to tuck away our suitcase so we didn't have to drag it with us on an overnight jaunt to Morocco. We would definitely stay here again.

Right in the heart of Tarifa's historic quarters, the place was really easy to find, clean, warm in a cold night, people were kind and very easy to check in despite late arrival and early departure.
And great price.
Highly recommend.

No bathroom in the room. Probably was written in the description, but I was just not booking a Hostel where that could be accepted.
It was next to the room, just not convenient (specially with the kid). It was small bathroom and the shower area was constrained by the slope of the roof of the building and you are unable to stand to shower yourself.
Doors where loud and could hear the neighbors. No TV in the room and horrible internet service. Basically not existing. So what do you do when you get back to the hotel, without tv and no internet?
Also, woke up to some drunk girls stumbling into lobby around 6am and woke us up by being loud. (totally fine with me, just hated to be woken up at 6am, when I could have slept in before our next travel day).

But, the location was good!

It was a unique stay. I loved the common spaces. It served its purpose for our one night stay. I loved the town of Tarifa. We found little bugs in our beds. They were like sand fleas. That might be common being so close to the beach.

You can’t drive to the hotel. You must park and walk. We could not find parking any where close to them- 1099 plus meters away. I use a cane and to drag my luggage that far on cobblestones was not possible. I ended up going to a different hotel and paying for it. When asked for a refund they said I knew the difficulties so therefore no refund. So be warned

Amazing place!!!

Amazing place! Impeccably beautiful and extremely clean. Bed was super comfortable. Beautiful decor throughout. Easy and clear instructions in how to get in check in and check out. This hotel was dreamy. Beautiful view of tarifa from the rooftop.
I will stay here again and again.
After trying to charge my phone overnight I noticed the next AM it didn't and my phone was dying. My travel power adapter didn't work with any of the my room electric outlets. But it worked in other places in Tarifa like coffee shops and restaurants. I had to asked if they would let me charge. Super friendly folks allowed me. This is the only recommendation I have for the hotel.

Eole Rooms - \"Tops for Tarifa \" stay.

A wonderful relaxed place to stay to explore the Town and the Nature reserves closeby. A Birders paradise area and an excellent base to \"work \"from. An example of what you might see bird wise - on 26th March from the Raptor watch point just east of town, 2 Black Vultures arrived from Africa, with Black Kites, Short T Eagles, Booted Eagles etc.

Great stuff! We were mistakenly assigned a smaller room, but quickly shifted upon request. The space is absolutely lovely. Desk is generally not staffed, but that did not present a problem for us.

Our room had a separate bedroom, and seating area in addition to an enormous bathroom. The persistent rain in December 2022 had resulted in some roof/ceiling leakage that dropped down into the room that the hotel was unable to address other than to give us additional towels.
The location was amazing, the shared kitchen is very well equipped. There is on-site laundry that can be used in the afternoons.
The microwave was broken when we stayed.

Noisy and No Staff...but Nice Decorating

Yes, the rooms are very nicely decorated, and yes, it is right in the heart of Tarifa. However, there is zero customer service. If you read the fine print, check-in is not until 3:00, but staff are only present from 10:00 - 2:00. That means no one will be there when you check in--so good luck if anything goes wrong.

As for me, the day I arrived, they had changed the combination on the entry door, and not emailed me this information until I was already on my way. Another guest had to let me in.

Then, I had to roam all over the building (with my bags) trying to find which room was mine. They should provide a map in the lobby, but they don't.

My room (#8) was directly beside the street: the bedroom and the bathroom windows both opened directly on to traffic. (It was like being in a basement). Since there was no fan or air con, the choice was leaving the window open to noise, or sweating all night. Plus, because my room faced the front door, I could hear everyone coming in and out all night long, and all morning.

When I checked out, although it was after 10:00, there was no one at the desk. So I never saw a staff member.

So, yes, they have great interior decorating. But in terms of quality of service, this is the worst customer experience I have had in Spain. (I have stayed in over 20 different properties in Spain).

If you do stay here, you should specifically demand a room with some privacy, and constantly check your email on the day of your check-in.

The place is beautiful and very clean. I would add a star. The room was very spacious, there was a living area with a skylight and a very spacious bathroom with a shower and an antique bathtub. We only met the guy at the reception, who was charming and very helpful. You can also use the kitchen and dining space.
It is very central but at the same time quite. I would recommend this place and I will stay there again if I ever come back to Tarifa.

The bed was so comfortable and the room was amazing . We loved everything about it and the location was perfect. Unfortunately the second night when we got back to our room there was a strange high pitched sound coming from the room above us. We messaged the host about it and never heard anything back from her. The noise lasted all night and we didn’t get any sleep.

Nostalgia con encanto

Buscamos algo para cuatro personas ultimo minuto y encontramos algo en Eole. El sistema de check in super rapido y facil. El sitio es muy mono pero mucho mas de un par de noches hubiese sido incomodo. Entra mucha luz por la mañana, habia huespedes en el patio interior hablando mucho rato y fuerte. Las cortinas ya no aguantan bien. El baño necesitaría una reforma. Pero asi para corta estancia estaba muy bien. Me acuerda de Tarifa de hace 20 años, asi que es un sitio que me dio bastante nostalgia!
