Quite a large place right beside the bus station. I walked around the town and did a bit of grocery shopping and got a kebab. Fab.

The hotel is in the same building as the bus station so it’s very convenient for the bus to and from Lalinea and the border crossing into Gibraltar. Also less than 10 minutes walk to the ferry terminal.

We were only here for they night, but so convenient as we arrived by bus and it was only around the corner plus we went to Gibraltar and again transport was just there. We then sailing to Morocco and the port is in close proximity- everything at our doorstep- room very spacious. Doesn’t have tea making facilities - but all good. Check in was a lot of paper work and signing - at times was in Spanish so we didn’t know what we were signing

Nice reception and good A/C as you walk in yet in the room they advertise Air conditioning yet it was non existent, there are old fashion vents that do not work. Our room was hot all night . Also we could not get any food or drink as the bar / restaurant was shut , we did arrive at 11 but only due to passport control at Tarifa . You would think in a hotel you can get a drink no matter what time. The breakfast was lovely. Really delicious.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel in Algeciras. The location was excellent – very convenient and close to everything I needed. The room was spacious, clean, and well-organized, which made my stay even more comfortable.

The breakfast buffet was great, with a wide variety of options to choose from. One of the highlights of my stay was the friendly and welcoming staff at the reception – they were always polite and helpful.

I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

The front reception staff were excellent the best service we have recieved on our holiday, the hotel is dated but comfortable. The breakfast not that good, food was cold, staff gave average service, but young man night before at Dinner was polite and willing to help, could do with better pillows and room was a bit noisy due to road outside

Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful, great room with a very nice balcony. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh fruit, plenty of cooked options, good coffee. Lots of areas to sit and relax, it is a lovely hotel. Very close to the train station.

The hotel is very good located, very clean, nice bathroom, for the ones that like soft beds, perfect. I do required a firm mattress (so -1 point).
The service was very sparse, cold. (-1 point).
non of the above matters that much. We had health emergency. The insurance ask our address, phone number and room number. A doctor from the insurance called us to the hotel.
At the lobby they told THE DOCTOR they didn’t transfer call to the rooms. So thankful god the insurance found another way to comuninate back to us.

We were directed to a clinic in town, we called the lobby an asked the to call a taxi, the same cold and spare attention: round the corner there are taxis.

We had an urgency… almost an emergency…. they didn’t care or help in any way. A simple transfer of a medical call.

Again, the hotel is well located it… but don’t spect quality service.

Very GOOD location, for travelers !

It is beside the bus station ( if you travel to Gibraltar Bus 120, Granada, sevilla, etc) and 4 minutes walk to the Algeciras port for a boat to Morroco). The best location for travelers. It has an amazing breakfast for a good price.

In terms of convenience of proximity to bus stationa and port, this cant be beat.
If you are driving, please note parking is not free (10 to 12 euros a night), and it is tricky to find the parking entrance when driving (so ask for specific directions before arrival).
The rooms are nice, they even have affordable room options for families. The beds, pillows and bedding are very comfortable, there is even a small refrigerator/cooler to keep drinks or milk cold. The bathrooms are well supplied, with a nice design, and plenty of hot water.
I highly recommend this place as the ideal transit stop if you are traveling in algeciras.

We only stayed one night at MirOctavio hotel but it was a positive experience and good value. The bed was comfortable, bathroom is spacious with good shower and there is a fridge and balcony. However only down side was the bedroom lamp didn’t work and lighting was poor.

When I checked in, young lady at reception told me about breakfast hours. Shared that I needed to catch the ferry early next morning and won’t be able to have breakfast. She arranged a ‘to go’ breakfast and also advised on the time I should leave the hotel to ensure I didn’t miss the ferry.

This hotel was an excellent place to stay, convenient to the ferry from Tangier, for the bus to Gibraltar and then to the train for Cordoba. The property was clean and located in a safe neighborhood. Could easily walk to restaurants. However the restaurant on site is horrible, very slow service and the food was really bad. I ordered margherita pizza and they used pasta sauce, no fresh tomatoes,no mozzarella or basil. I have had better frozen pizza or little Cesar’s. Tasted really nasty. The employees were not gracious at all. I wanted to add an extra night at checkin and the guy lied about it being fully booked despite me seeing multiple rooms online. My boyfriend went ahead and booked online anyway. Regretted that choice in the end. I have never given a place a bad review but this deserves it

Old hotel some renovations in the bedroom flooring but the bathrooms are old so can’t look really clean. Poor buffet as we were there at 9.35 for breakfast finishing at 10.30 and most hot food was gone. Staff very friendly

Located Right next to the bus station it was excellent to commute to so many places. To go to La linea next to Gibraltar airport was only eur2.75. Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly.

It is a convenient hotel if one choose to travel by train and bus through Spain, the train station simply across the road from the hotel & bus terminal is right next door. Housekeeping need a good training how to clean the bathroom, mold is visible, a bleach solution will do the trick😉

The hotel is right next to the main bus station, which connects to Tarifa, Gibraltar and other cities, very conveniently located. Besides, the location also has many good restaurants within 10 mins walk.

Hotel staffs were helpful and friendly. Room was clean and spacious. Highly recommended, can't beat this with the price. The hotel definitely worth more than an overall average rating of 8.2.

Will stay any time I’m in Algeciras

Always a pleasure to stay there , next to the bus station , train and the port, not far from the city center , many restaurants around. Just the perfect location if you want to stay in Algeciras for a couple days.

This was what you’d expect for a hotel by the bus station. The bathroom had seen better days. The furnishing was sparse. This is a place you stay when you arrive on the last bus into town and/or need to catch the first bus or ferry out of town.

The bus stop is right there next to hotel so the lower rooms facing that would get noisy. They have busses running and backing ( making the backing sound ) ALL night long.
