Yes, the room was clean, condition ok, but it is an old hotel. Lift is tiny..Neigbourhood is still unpleasant and leaves a lot to be desired..the staff however were welcoming. I consider the hotel good value as long as you are not seeking upmarket.

Parking is tight! Wish I would have put my SUV on the street. Rooms were clean and the wifi worked. Just what we needed for a couple of nights. We were here to visit Gibraltar and so much easier/cheaper to stay in Spain.

Fantastic place ! We had a balcony and view of the water and the rock of Gibralter. We didn’t have breakfast there but it was offered for a few. there is a small fridge and coffee maker in the room and a small elevator perfect for luggage. About 20-25 minute walk to the border or 5-10 by car. super comfy bed and clean w. c.

Really disappointed to have booked a hotel with a pool and the pool not be available. Even though it was advertised as being available 'June - September' and we were there in mid September, sunny and 25+ degrees every day.
When I sent a message I was met with an incredibly unprofessional 8-word response, and when I followed up they ignored me.
Without this, the experience was only ok. The breakfast seemed ridiculously over-priced so we didn't use that.
I'd strongly recommend choosing a different hotel as they over-charge for what your getting versus other hotels in the area.

Great location, about 30 minutes walk to Gibraltar passport control. Beach nearby. Many restaurants about 15 minutes walk. Quiet, comfortable room. Bed comfortable. No issues with air-condition and hot water. Very friendly and helpful staff. Parking not free. Breakfast available. Safe area.

I do not recommend them at all.

Breakfast was awful. Staff were not refilling the empty trays. Very limited option, low quality produce. Whole fruit were like ages old left in the dish. No fresh coffee. If it was a complimentary breakfast it c9uld be a so so but considering the charge definitely did not worth it at all.
Cleanness might look ok at first glance, but the more you pay attention will figure out underlayer dirtiness and corners cuts in cleaning.
No napkin in the bathroom.
The rooms we were given(had 2 rooms) were far worse than those shown in the pictures.

I do not understand how this hotel is a Marriott.
Room is small and basic, even AFTER paying to upgrade. I'd hate to see the previous queen room.
Fridge didn’t work and was moldy inside.
Wasted over an hour checking in and waiting for a different fridge.
Staff member told my husband we were booked in a single room, and only after i pulled out the printed booking did he change to, oh its a basic queen and we should upgrade for more space. I'm guessing the basic is like a broom closet. Parking is, good luck, on the street somewhere.
Not even close to the expectations i have of the Marriott line of hotels!
Location is decent at least to go into Gibraltar for the day.
My husband tried to find out about food options at the restaurant, and was greeted with attitude and unhelpful. (We're guessing the end of his shift)
Over all disappointed and would NOT recommend this hotel.

The staff I came across were all lovely and friendly, they even checked me in early and found me a charger as I forogt my adaptor. The rating is more for the room and condition of the hotel. Bathroom tiles were cracked and metal bits were hanging off the wall,flooring was really old and faded. I stayed here 10years ago and it looked better then. It was so noisy I could hear my neighbours talking and every morning at 6am the people above me were dragging furniture around. When someone showered or went to the toilet in the next door room you could hear that, but I have to say the room was clean.

This hotel is a bit tired and the location is in a run down neighborhood. Our room faced the main roadway to Gibraltar so there was traffic noise all the time.
The walk to the border crossing into Gibraltar is about 30 minutes along the waterfront. There are a few restaurants along the waterfront but some were closed and it would be better to eat in Gibraltar vs trying to find anything near the hotel.
The pool was closed (off season), the breakfast buffet was overpriced for the quality of food,

Actually, it was Expedia, not the AC La Linea that led us astray - the Expedia listing indicated free parking, but did not elaborate that the free parking was on the street, where ever you could find a spot, and that the secure parking offered in the add was an additional 11Euro per day. This is where the staff offered excellent service, allowing us (a senior citizen couple at the end of a long travel day, nearing midnight) to park in the check in area until a nearby spot was available in the early morning. The staff were very nice, efficient and accommodating, and the hotel had a lovely view, and was likely stunning when the last renovation was new.

The staff were excellent and parking was very good. It was a short 20 minute walk to Gibraltar. The outside of the building was being renovated at one end away from us and the elevator was out of service for about 1 hour over a two day stay.

Asked not to be put in room with small balcony as staying for 12 nights but were given room 420 with balcony only big enough for 1 chair, receptionist claimed all balconies were the same which is untrue as we have stayed several times and had a bigger balcony! Eventually moved to room 222 with a larger balcony. Breakfast is still good but has declined, i.e. no rolls or bagettes and a more limited offering, however waitress was exceptional. Hotel was having work done outside which was noisy first thing in the morning and we feel we should have been advised about this before arrival. Coffee machines in room and coffee in lobby until 19.30 is a bonus.

Not that great - 0 flexibility when I tried to cancel the booking within a few hours of making it, despite it being the norm of allowing cancellations within the first 24 hours. I later needed to change my reservation to be only one of the two days I booked, and they made me go through the travel agent that I booked (Expedia) instead of just doing this themselves. The room itself is fine but has little soundproofing, with doors slamming waking you up through the night. The room wasn’t well cleaned (I had hairs on the bath tub) and the shower gel dispenser was empty. The corridor of my room also had a strong smell of cigarette smoke when I arrived. Breakfast is acceptable for the €14 fee. The hotel is also quite a long walk from the gib border, you basically need a €6 taxi to get there.
Not sure I’d rush back.

Really friendly and helpful staff The hotel is about 20 minutes walk to the border with Gibraltar so very handy. The breakfast was enormous and kept me going. The room was spotless and had a beautiful view over the rock. Pool was still cloed as it wasn't quite yet in season so can't comment on that. Overall i'd definitely recommend.

We were here to visit Gibraltar and with the high cost of hotels across the boarder opted to stay in LaLinea. This hotel was selected for their affiliation with Marriot, and after staying with them I am very surprised that they are able to maintain the affiliation. The rooms were very basic, walls were dirty, trim was damaged, dust bunnies in the corners, and the highly fragrant cleaning solutions made our eyes water they were so strong. We had to open the window for several hours to air out the room, which resulted in mosquitoes in our room since there are no screens. The bedding and towels at least seemed to be clean. However I suspect that it used to be a smoking room because once the strong cleaner smell was gone there was a whiff of tobacco present - particularly in the dingy curtains. Parking was not included with our room, and was a high daily fee. We needed up street parking in an area that does not seem to be all that nice. Would not come back here and plan to let my friend that works at Marriot corporate know about our poor experience. Pay the extra to stay in Gibraltar proper, you won’t regret it.

This is an economical Marriott, very good deal. Breakfast was great. Complementary items are a very nice touch. Found it annoying though that the room temp can’t exceed 21.5oC, other than that was perfect. It’s misleading to say it has a pool, pool is closed.

11 night stay for New Year

Initally allocated room 320 which has a very small balcony and only 1 chair and was also noisy due to air conditioning unit in room 318. As we were staying for 11 nights we asked to move room but had to wait 4 nights as there was limited room availability due to unadvised renovation work in the hotel. However once moved everything was ok and we enjoyed our stay. The addition of a coffee maker in the room was much appreciated. We have stayed many times and will return and would recommend to others. Television in room says that it has CNN and BBC world news but unable to view either channel.

No airport transfer service

Booked as an overnight stay before a flight the next morning from Gibraltar airport. On check in was advised that there was no airport transfer service despite what it said on my booking confirmation. Disappointing to be misinformed but not really a problem as it was only a 5 minute taxi ride or 20 minute walk.
That aside, the room was spacious and very clean. the bed was comfy and there was a lovely view from the balcony. Minibar was well stocked but would have liked a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities. We would definitely use again.

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, however the Aircon leaked and there was a drip throughout the entire night. Luckily, I'm a heavy sleeper and didn't ask to switch rooms because I got in so late and just wanted to shower and sleep. However, the floor was wet where it leaked right in front of the bathroom door, and I had to throw 2 towels down to absorb the water.

The hotel is within walking distance of Gibraltar border. We had a lovely welcome from an English speaking receptionist. Our room was spacious and cleaned everyday by friendly staff. The shower area was showing a little bit of wear and tear and could do with an update. Excellent restaurant. Breakfast was satisfactory but not brilliant. All staff were very friendly. Would be more than happy to stay again

If you go to Gib, stay here is cheaper than Gib.

The lady at the front desk , her name was Sandra . She was very sweet and helpful . The hotel wasn’t really but it was better to pay this rate here than the Holliday In express in Gibraltar… which is horrible and almost double the money. So, if you want to go To Gib and don’t want to spend a fortune, stay here in La Linea.. and cross the border by foot( everything in Gin is much more expensive!)

The hotel was clean and my room was located on the second floor. My intent on this trip was to visit Gibraltar. The hotel was less than 1.5 miles from the passport control, which was an easy walk for me. The hotel is near a lot of dining options. There is also a convenience store on the back on the same building. I enjoyed my short stay in La Linea at AC Hotel. Oh it’s also 1 mile from the bus station which I used to get to La Linea.

Easy check in late at night with a friendly staff member. The room was clean, but tired. Paint peeling in the bathrrom and generally in need of a refresh. We were only there for one night so didn't get chance to see the facilities or eat in the restaurant. Parking is great though with very narrow spaces!
