Nice, economic place to stay. Rooms were clean and the staff were super helpful. Located on a busy street but the rooms are will back in a beautiful courtyard where you couldn’t hear the traffic. About a 20 minute walk to the zocalo. Only thing I could fault be not being able to get wifi in our room. When I sat in the courtyard there was no problem. A small issue. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

This was excellent stay for us. Yes, it’s on a very busy road, but the rooms are tucked in a garden courtyard. The location made it easy to explore neighborhoods we hadn’t seen before. We walked toward El Llano park and has an amazing meal at Elefante Cafe.

Casa los cantaros was a great place for my friends and family stay. They went above and beyond to find us a baby playpen and bathtub when i asked if they might have one around. They were always very friendly and great at helping us with whatever we needed. Only negative thing i can say is the water pressure of the shower was not good at all... i had to wait for weird hours to shower when i knew no one else was showering lol

Property is not close to the main area of interest ti tourist. Especially when you are tired from walking you want to be close to your hotel to relax and refresh before getting out again. Far to go back and forth. 1 Coffee packet for coffee maker was provided in the room. After that you have to pay for next days coffee. Stone Floor was dirty on first day. Other days it felt like you always had dirty feet. Shower had mold and drain right in the center where you stood.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel in October 2024. The hotel is located north of the downtown area, but it is within walking distance to some nice restaurants and to Barrio Jalatlaco ( a must see attraction). Take a taxi to downtown Oaxaca which will cost you $70-90 pesos.
The hotel is beautiful. Our room (Santa Maria) was great for my wife and I. All the employees were friendly and helpful all the time.
I recommend this hotel if you want to be close to downtown, but far enough to avoid the crowds.

This was a very cute hotel and very small. It was hard to understand how to order breakfast and the cook left early. It’s near the city center but not close enough to walk safely at night if you are solo female traveler. Cute garden/sitting area. Lots of jasmine! The employees don’t speak English (which is OK!) but they are very nice and helpful. One thing that surprised me is they kicked out my guest at 11PM by calling several times. They have no guests after 11PM policy which is not listed on hotels.com. They said they would charge me extra if my guest didn’t leave. So weird. We were not being disruptive and guest was not staying the night.

I have to say that this hotel is the best one I have stayed in Oaxaca. Very friendly staff and very welcoming when you arrive at the hotel. Fast checkin and spacious rooms, they even have a gallery of handmade crafted products from Oaxaca and you can purchase them as well. They have a tour available to take you to an amazing beautiful garden and even has a butterfly room. I have to say that I was very surprised how peaceful this hotel is, I have stayed in numerous of others but never had a great sleep/rest due to all the road noises & events going on at all times of the day and night. I recommend this hotel to everyone and there are good stores/restaurants walking distance as well.

For us the hotel was perfectly situated, 15 min ( or less) from hotel to Iglesia Santo Domingo ( the tourist corridor is just like crossing the street and passing a park) . The staff is super helping and they are always smiling . If you were hoping to stay in a hotel 100% noise proof well , you are not in the right one not because of the hotel but because of the traffic on the street and there's a school just beside but nothing to worry to much . Super clean, rooms are big and confortables. You have a mini restaurant inside and you have a garden that brings charm to it. Very satisfied and I'll return for sure. ( observation here … ask for a room not at the main entrance, always at the very back!!) If Oaxaca's food is too much for your stomach you have a super nice restaurant : EL MOROCCO just like 10 min walking from there !!! Excellent food and breakfast

The have large rooms with comfortable beds, pillows however, the entrance if the hotel is always closed day and night and you have to ring the bell in order for them to open it. The area is safe so I dont know why they take that extra measure of precaution. So if you leave at night or day just know you cant just walk into your room you have to ring a bell and wait for them to open.

everything was great before i turned on the a/c. adrianna was super, and the hotel looked nice, clean room, comfy bed, and nice garden. as i turned on the a/c, i realized the a/c doesnt work. the remote actually for some reason also controls the tv. the a/c not only doesnt work, shuts itself off periodically every 15 min. called the front desk on duty, the front desk said ‘nothing he can do since all rooms are booked.’. had to call expedia to have them contact the hotel. finally got some response. the guy brought in a fan. it was 85F inside the room and 83%humidity. a horrible night sleeping in sweat. next morning at 7am adrianna was there and apologized profusely. immediatedly moved me into the suite downstairs. (a/c worked in the suite thankgod). and offered me free breakfast for 2 nights. what i dont like is the lack of honesty. the suite was available for me to move in immediately that night but they refused because they just wanted to see if they can get away with it. unless that suite was vacated in the middle of the night and that the cleaning lady cleaned the suite before 5am, the suite clearly was unoccupied. had i not call expedia to complain, they would not have tried to accomodate me at all. dishonesty is one thing i do not tolerate and i will not stay there again nor recommend it to anyone.
