This hotel fitted our needs well. We were steps away from transportation which was very convenient. The hotel area was quiet but and we felt safe walking back to our room at night. The bed was quite small, and the shower water got everywhere because there was no glass panel to stop water escaping. Overall it worked well for our short stay here!

Rooms clean, no shampoo, hand or wash towels, but brought more bath towels. Bed firmer than we are used to. Staff was excellent. Nice looking hotel and lobby. Showers all open floor so had to mop up floor to use toilet and sink afterward. It was time for an economy hotel.

I am missing clothes! Someone stole my shirts while they were cleaning my room!!!!
I just got back to USA and unpacked my clothes and I am missing shirts. Totally unacceptable!
I enjoyed my stay in Singapore and my stay at this hotel, but stealing clothes from customs is totally unacceptable.

Found this to be a very functional room for a week stay for one. Little bit away from the main street for food but bot too far. Buses at either end of the street took me almost anywhere I needed to go in Singapore. Good price and value.

Staff were very friendly, room is small and bed was extremely hard! Bathroom is very snug. Limited space to sit in main bed/sitting area. Little to no storage area for multiple day stay. Minimal amenities, no shower curtain so water sprays on floor and hair dryer location not very convenient! No hand towels or face cloths provided. We stayed for 5 nights and bed was never made, only clean bath towels provided and waste baskets emptied. The coffee cups provided were never exchanged so we washed them after daily use.

After a very long flight, i was able to check in early which i sincerely appreciated. The wifi, air conditioning and hot water worked well. Amenities were basic which is expected for the price. Over all, a very good option for a budget stay.

Room is good condition but really small. The toilet too high, making it very uncomfortable to sit for long. Also when taking shower, water splashes every where. Shower head should place more to right then in the center, that way water fall to gutter drainage.

It's awesome when compared to most of the hotels in that area. It must have been newly renovated/ furnished. Bed was great. Room size is great 👍. Toilet and bathroom was clean and good size too. Lot's Of food options. Walkable and easy access to public transportation. Enjoyed my stay.

The hotel staff were very nice and pleasant but the cleanliness and standards of the hotel is poor.

Both bathroom towels had a yellow stain on them and there were no hand towels. No shower curtain or screen available for taking a shower in the bathroom, so the bathroom floor ends up very wet making the purpose of the shower mat useless.

Lastly the toilet seat was loose on one fixing so the seat slides to the side when you sit on it.

Area around the hotel was very crowded with locals just hanging out, but it wasn't noisy. Ok for a quick budget stay.

I had a below-average stay and don’t plan to stay here again in the future. Mattress is hard; no hand soup or a bar of soup whatsoever; toilet and shower is ensuite, no walls or door (if you shower, the toilet seat will be wet, so might be the toilet paper hanging high up away from the toilet seat); extremely limited amenities; no views of any pleasant. Bus stop is about 5 mins walk; MRT is about 13-15 minutes walk (imagine in a 30 degree weather with high humidity). Don’t expect the receptionists to go over or beyond.

I booked for 2 nights as I knew my plane landed early the 2nd day, asked for 2 single beds.
Was told there was none available, and check in was at 3. I’d specifically paid for 2 nights to be able to check in the minute we landed to avoid this. Was given a room with a queen bed, but it should have been ready to go.
Area was average, not much around food wise.

This hotel was really clean, with modern room facilities and good AC. It is basic in terms of amenities (ie. No in house dining, gym, etc) but the price reflects this. The area it is in is not as nice as other parts of the city but we felt completely safe and found some really great spots for eating a short walk away, and there is a 7-11 across the road for snacks. About a 15 min walk to MRT which is fine depending on how you cope with the heat, there are buses closer if you want.

The only things we didn't like were the bed which was very firm, and the shower design which meant water went everywhere - not uncommon in hotels though!

Would definitely recommend if you are after a clean, modern and well priced option for a couple of days.

Not Represented Well!

This was not what was expected, nor represented in the pictures. I felt confused as the pictures listed for my specific room, looked completely different. It felt like the 1970’s. see included picture. The picture of my room had a modern mural. There were stains on the sheets granted they fixed pretty quickly. However the pillows were like bricks! I gave up at that point. Will not return!

Good value for the money

We reserved two rooms for a family of four. The rooms are compact but offer great value for the price. They are clean, equipped with internet, comfortable beds, a fridge, and coffee-making facilities. There’s no restaurant on-site, but a 7-Eleven is conveniently located next door. The staff are extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful. We used taxis to get around, which were reasonably priced.

My second time back, because it's a great option for an affordable stay: clean, cleanly furnished room with a separate bath. There is a built-in water filter in the bath, instead of plastic water bottles, which is actually eco-conscious!
Add to that easy and fast transportation into the city and airport, and a large number of fantastic eating to be had nearby.

The staff on the first night had limited knowledge of English. After that, different staffers' English was very good.

Overall, everything met my expectations except:

1. The shower stall had no door so water spilled to near the door
2. No bedside tables
3. No ice vending machines in a hotel where temperatures could be way above 30 degress Celsius
4. The soap dispenser's cover was broken and could not be mounted on the dispenser
5. Area is kind of low class but, because of that, eateries are plentiful and cheap with so much choice!
6. Other hotels in the area might be cheaper but this Hotel 81 Premier (Princess) might be the best

What I liked:
1. Plesant and helpful staff
2. Proximity to an infinite amount of restaurants, food courts, currency exchange shops, massage parlours...
3. Walking distance to all the bus stops going in all directions
4. 7-Eleven and a laundry shop right next to the property

The room was larger than many other options in this price bracket; not the most modern room but clean and well presented. The bed was very firm although we have come to expect this in Asian countries. The air con was noisy and the wi-fi was a bit patchy. There were plenty of dining options within a short walking distance and we felt quite safe despite being the red light district - if my husband hadn't pointed this out, I would have been oblivious. Overall we thought the room was good value and comfortable.
