no laundry services on site, I had to walk 4 blocks to get it done. The sound from the neighbors and outside the hotel was so loud. The hotel room I was in smelled like mold and chemicals. The staff were really nice and helpful. It was impossible to contact the hotel/property manager to complain.

Great location with many local eateries just around the corner. Rooms were clean staff was awesome, friendly and even returned my $100 when I lost my receipt. A special thank you to Mao Mee ( receptionist) for her assistance when I lost my passport at the local restaurant. Overall, exceptional experience in every way.

The picture on the site is very deceiving. The room is very small as you walk into the room, you will literally have no other space to place your lugguges. The room is about 2 suitcase wide. Windows don't shut, no ice, no water to drink and the water machine has lukewarm water. The only thing good is that the location is decent. Other than that, I would not recommend this hotel.

Checkin agent could barely speak English ! Gave my wife and I a room overlooking street with bright hotel lights blaring into our room 205.Room was small and bathroom barely had any room to move.They ask for $SGD100 cash as a deposit on checkin??! too .Using credit card has up to 14 days before credit comes through??! Hotel is away from airport and in a small street.Service is poor and hotel is old and tired.Would not stay here again …

Walkable to bus stop, convenient store, restaurants. The room is nothing like the pictures. Book an deluxe double beds room and from the picture it shows 2 beds with a pull out sofa but in reality the room only have one bed and they pulled out the sofa to make it into a second bed. The room is very tiny.

We Were disappointed it was very expensive It was rated as 3.5 stars. It was a 2.5 star only because it was clean. The location was terrible after arriving we checked out other hotels we could have stayed in much nicer areas for what we spent, and we could’ve done much better. We discovered that they were charging $100 less per night if we had booked same days vs our non cancellable reservation we made a couple months in advance and they would not compensate us or upgrade our rooms.
Beware that this hotel is located in the red light district of Singapore with sex Shops and sex workers. Clean, good restaurants were impossible to find taking taxis to the downtown area and the money we spent on taxi rides could have gotten a good room closer to downtown, the marina or the river.

Spacious, clean room with very comfy beds and good shower. Only 12 minutes walk from Kallang MRT on the direct line from the airport to the city made it very easy to access. Staff were friendly and efficient and the free minibar drinks & snacks were much appreciated. Good value place to stay.

Chambre familiale un peu usée avec décorations de Winnie l'Ourson aux murs. Manque d'espace et chambre mal configurée. Le véritable problème est cependant les minuscules fourmis qui se promènent sur les meubles et dans la douche: disons que nous avons dû en manger quelques-unes. C'est propre, mais ce n'est pas plaisant d'entrer dans une chambre et apercevoir des fourmis. De plus, on ne semble pas avoir de produit au comptoir pour en éliminer quelques-unes.

We stayed 3 days first in a fairly pleasant room. Came back for 1 night before leaving Singapore and got the \"not best room\". Space is a luxury in Singapore and these rooms try to maximise it. Not very large, but clean and good shower. Massive tv very close to the bed, good choice of You Tube and other channels available. Basic but pretty efficient.

We recommend five6 Hotel Splendour. The rooms are nice, very clean, have good comfortable beds and the shower is very good. The reception area of the hotel is very nice too, really well air conditioned and comfortable to sit in when coming in from the heat outside. The staff are very nice and efficient too.

The exterior and public areas of the hotel looked a little worn. The hotel isn't in the best area - a bit of a red light distrinct, although I never felt unsafe.

While I thought the room was excellent, it was much more expensive than a similar hotel in the UK.

What I liked: room design and decor was above-average for a hotel in this price class

What I didn't like: no privacy curtain; high bathroom window was wide open (wasting energy) when I entered the room and window handle was partially broken off -- would have been impossible to close for someone below 180cm in height; internet was barely stable; elevator buttons were slimy/sticky; gritty, somewhat sleazy neighborhood; other guests were low-quality and staff at check-in appeared to have lost patience in general.

Very good boutique style hotel. Geylang is a bit out of the city and residential. The hotel is very close to good public transport connections and dining options. The hotel was good value, clean and comfortable. Recommended for a Singapore stay if you don't want to spend mega bucks in the city.

Non-smoke-free room with no internal door lock

Room was clean, however it smelt of cigarettes' smoke from previous guest despite hotel being known as a smoke-free hotel. Room 06 on the 5th floor had it's internal lock broken and no room of the same configuration was available at time of check-in. Receptionist gave excuse that even if I was upgraded, the next higher category room had no internal lock at all, something I find unbelievable.

Room is nice with a warm lighting ambience. Bed is comfy.

Bathroom has a murky smell during the first few hours of stay though, air con was okay with some noise but bearable.

Housekeeping staff was talking quite loudly along the corridor during the early morning, might not be good for light sleepers. Will be good if they could keep the voice to the minimal. Front desk staffs are friendly and courteous. Very helpful

The reception staff initially appeared to be a little aloof, probably because of our early arrival. However that soon changed. When we checked out it was like leaving old friends. The bed was super comfortable. The A/C worked well. The room was very quiet with minimum noise from others. The selection of chairs in the room was a bit different. Neither was super comfortable.

Welcome was not good. The receptionist was having a conversation with a colleague when we arrived and they made us wait till their conversation was over. We asked whether we can check in early but she said that she had to call the cleaning staff to do that. Second day I requested for an iron and the same receptionist was there. When the iron was delayed, I called again. She gave the same excuse as that she has to send staff to search for one. When I insisted, she brought one quickly to the room. Felt that we were discriminated against our nationality

Splendid character

Splendour is a clean, tidy and comfortable property with obliging staff though the rooms are relatively small.Singapore is an expensive city and Splendour was good value.I personally like the area - Geylang - where it is situated which is a $10-$15 taxi ride from central areas and it is still mostly 'old' Singapore with shop houses and a wide variety of traditional and decent places to eat. It does border the red light district for those who aren't comfortable with such 'services' but it is all pretty low key in any case. If you want upmarket shopping and western malls stay in the city proper but if you like some character and a cheaper option Splendour is fine

Simple, comfortable place for an overnight before an early morning flight. A number of good food options in the area as well. If your on a budget you can't beat this place. Free pickup from the airport and only 150 return. If we could find a room for our overnight return we would stay here again. Unfortunately, all booked up.
