Room was very clean and nice. Toilets and all amenities as mentioned. Good for transit and short stays. Easily accessible by public transportation and lot of restaurants nearby

My home for 3 nts in Singapore

It was a good little place to stay. I liked it. It is a well run place. Nice temperature.

Breakfast was basic, but for the money, okay.
If there was one thing the place lacked, that would be a good area to chill out, that is conducive to socializing. For me it was fine, but it's not exactly a cool sort of place.

property is just a few minutes away from MRT station and hawker centers,very convenient
staffs are polite and helpful.
no lift on the property difficult to bring up heavy luggages.

I arrived late and wrote the facility while I kept ringing the doorbell for 5-10 minutes. No one responded. I waited outside for about another 5 minutes until another guest allowed me to walk in with her. I had luggage and was obviously not a likely burglar. No one was at reception. A few minutes later Edel walked in and registered me. The facility was OK, but there is no lock on the shared bedroom door and it is right across from reception. The boarder next to my bed was only a thin old wood cabinet and is not even fully covering to the wall. People wash, talk and check in right next to where I was sleeping. The management knows this and doesn' t care. I asked a woman outside the room door to be considerate of a person still sleeping in the room and this woman went ballistic. She kept yelling at me, called me several names and kept shaking her hand in my face and trying to humiliate me. It was a horrible scene out of a third world country. The Manager was no where to be found. When she returned many minutes later she was not interested in hearing anything about it. I would never stay at this place again.

Disgusting moldy Doors

Quiet and peaceful sleeping environment. But the only thing I don’t like is the disgusting moldy toilet doors. Dont use wooden door for toilet? Doesn’t seems like it has been washed thoroughly.

1) Clean
2) Friendly and helpful staff. Explained on tourist spot
3) Basic amenities provided. Simple breakfast (bread). No shower foam/soap provided
4) Good location. Near to MRT Lavender and MRT Bendemeer (walking distance 5 to 10minutes) and near to bus stop
5) Can put your luggage at the counter (arrival before check in time)

This hostel was close to public transportation and was easy to get today and there were plenty of places to get food to eat. There was breakfast provided however we didn't get a chance to eat since we had an early flight to catch the next day Breakfast was served at 7 a.m. There is no lift to our room and it was hard to carry our luggage 2 flights up to our room. The bathroom and the shower was outside our room. We had a double bed to sleep in with other guests ( mixed females and males). We just had a curtain to provide privacy. No food could be eaten in the room. You have to eat in the common area and it was noisy to sleep since the room was close to each other and the room was not locked. You could put your personal items into a locker with a locked key provided. You have to pay for this key and you would get the money back when you check out for your stay.

Noisy hostel

The idea of having 'single and double bed pods' is great - But in reality it just doesn't work at Meadows Hostel. We were kept awake until after 2am every. single. night by people talking at full volume. Then, we were woken up at 5/6am EVERY morning by other people who have no manners or consideration for other guests.
The curtains on the beds are so thin they are totally pointless.
The toilets & showers are FILTHY!
We didn't even bother to get free breakfast (which is outside & looks very dirty).
The only, ONLY positive thing I can say about this hostel is that the woman who works on night duty is really nice & will ask people to be quiet which we appreciated. The woman who checked us in & works during the day was very rude & abrupt upon check in.
Overall, a terrible - We really regretted choosing this hostel... There are so many better options in beautiful Singapore. This hostel needs a lot of work!

Arrived and found a long stair up to the hostel with no elevator. Most times service desks ignore people coming to the desk as they have headphones on.breakfast given is outside the aircon room mainly bread butter. Showers need to bring your own shampoo etc. Towels and blankets require cash deposit. Showers doors mouldy and slippery. Room size ok and comfortable.

Clean and close to MRT and restaurants

We stayed for 2 nights. The place is very clean and has enough facilities. MRT is about 10 min walk with so many restaurants, food court and shops around the area. Would be better if staff are a bit more helpful.

Little gem Meadows

I stayed here for 5 nights in March 2018. It was a great capsule hostel. The hotel was just a 5 minute walk from Lavender MRT. It was a very clean hostel, great showers and washing area. Breakfast was toast, jam, boiled eggs etc. The wifi was strong and never cut out. There was a common room area on 2nd floor. The capsule format made it private and less noise than normal hostel. Highly recommended.

I dont think they change their bed sheets. Every morning when I wake up, bed bugs bites are everywhere in my body! Horrible!!

the hotel is on a walk distance from MRT ( lavender or farrel park ), located in a quiet area so it will be good for sleep at night.. near foodcentre ( beside jalan besar stadium ) with the cheap price and delicious taste..

Bed bugs!

If you take the single bed, think twice because at first glance you would think that it's spacious enough based on the photo. But those are actually the double beds. The single beds are very small and cramped, it almost feels like lying in a coffin. Plus the ladders are hard to climb. There are also a lot of bed bugs so I wasn't really able to sleep at all :( I had a lot of marks on my skin and they were so itchy :(

Walking distance to MRT station(Lavender)

If you are looking for a place but you're in a tight budget then Meadows Hostel is for you. Aside form being one of the cheapest, the hostel is a walking distance to the MRT station . Their staffs are very accommodating.

there are too many bed bags at my bed, they bites

There are too many bed bugs at bed sheet, bedbugs bites my arm, hand, legs, back and bottom while I was sleeping at bed. I think room and bed were untidy at my room.

I took cream after back to Australia.

Perfect for the solo traveler - safe & friendly

I loved the cubical style for the hostel shared room. Comfortable nights sleep, privacy while still sharing a room with other travelers, quiet and friendly staff. Walking distance to the MRT, public transportation easy and convient! Visit Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa island and explore the city! Staff is helpful with any questions about where to go, what to do and the best way of getting there.

perfect for sight seeing

well run place, with free towels and locks. the wifi was good. breakfast was included, hard boiled eggs, toast, peanut butter and jam, and all day long coffee or tea. i liked the idea of the capsules around the bed, made for more privacy and less noise, but probably not great if you are claustrophobic. Jug water on each floor so you can refill your water bottles. I would suggest booking into the room with the smallest amount of rooms, as people seem to be very ignorant and disrespectful around there. Who blow drys their hair in the room at 7 a.m. when there is a common area for that

Mazing Stay in Meadows

Brought 2 night stay in Meadows, a double bed with good pillows which enjoy a good sleep till the next day. Environments and living conditions are clean. Good Water Pressure and the Air condition are working good.
Friendly Staffs and amazing café back of the hostel which serve good coffee and breakfast ( not expensive ).
Walking distance to Lavender MRT station.

Hostel close to transport. The Lavender MRT station is about 10 min walking distance and the Farrer Park MRT station is a bit further about 15 min walking distance. There is a good local food center just 3 min. walk. These making the hostel easy access and attractive. The hostel overall cleanliness is good. Kitchen/room/bath_room/toilet are constantly being cleaned.
The free breakfast is a handy thing even it is simple and basic - bread+margarine+jams+peanut_butter+hard_boiled_eggs.
Free wifi let you keep you in touch with the world.
Overall I am happy with this hostel.

Clean capsule style hostel close to Little India

Simple capsule style hostel located next to Little India towards the airport. The hostel is very clean and the staff was really nice and helpful.

The subway is about 5-10 mins walking depending on the line you take, there are also bus lines that take you to the city center even closer. There's supermarket (Fair Price) nearby and food area right next to the hostel.

I know that it should not be normally part of the accommodation review, but I was expecting bit more of short-stay international crowd like in other hostels throughout Asia.

I think i got scabies from them. As for the breakfast I thought it is made for you. Even thst it isnt its bread and eggs, and there was no way to cook the eggs. Everything else was ok.

Rooms with no ventilation, feet odour

The rooms don't have ventilation, and since Singapore is always hot you can imagine the feet odour in the rooms. I would look for something better unless you are budget restricted.
