The check-in staff were helpful & friendly on 23Nov. However the toilet was leaky & the noise disturbed our sleep. The hotel was informed on the next morning but nothing changed & got worse with frequent flushing noise till we left on 26 Nov. Every night sleep was bad.

We booked for two nights (room without windows). The first night we were given a room with strong sewage smell, and the toilet didn't flush well. We were told the smell was \"normal\". After complaining to the front desk, we were given another room (upgraded to a room with windows) on the second night and it was much better. So it seemed like the lack of windows were giving rise to those sewage smell? Anyhow, we were fine with rooms without windows, but we never expect the smell so if you are booking for the no-window rooms, be prepared.

Hotel staff very helpful making our stay pleasant. Hotel is very close to Lavender MRT which makes getting around Singapore easy. Room was basic but good enough for our 2 day stay. Only downside was the breakfast which was a bit grim.

I arrived in the early morning after a long flight and was very grateful that I was able to check in early at 12pm. The app is easy to use and they update you once the room is ready.
The area is near two local shopping centres with plenty of food options.
The room is spacious with plenty of room to put things hangers, big comfortable bed too.
There's no window which isn't a problem for me.
The only down side is that the shower does splash everywhere even though there's a curtain, although the ventilation is strong and does dry up quickly, I did unfortunately slipped when walking out of the bathroom. Might be worth bringing an extra pair of slippers and be extra careful.

The room I initially received had no windows and felt isolated. However, when I asked Mages for assistance, he was able to quickly find me a room with windows. Chris was also very helpful throughout the process. The breakfast served was good, and the front desk staff were friendly and very attentive. I recommend checking the room before you book it.

Not a 3 star hotel. Bathroom's floor gets wet after a shower because there is no shower door. They only provide one liquid that serves as shower gel and shampoo.Towels are thinner than most of 3 star hotels. Front desk people are friendly and helpful. It is close to subway stations. Many food choice nearby.

In the heart of Lavender

The hotel is located within walking distance of Lavender MRT. A supermarket is located across the road as well as a food centre.

There is a swimming pool in the hotel. Access to the main lobby is via stairs. There is a ramp to the side of the building but I did not see sign postings.

I am unable to open the window for fresh air (not that you need to due to Singapore's humidity).

The room is not big, suitable for solo and couples. It is a \"budget\" hotel after all that is conveniently located. The room is not very sound-proof as I can hear the neighbours. Also, when someone use the showers, I can hear the water running down the drain.

Although there is blackout curtains, I still get sunlight through the bathroom window and bathroom door thus the room is still lit if you try to sleep during the day.

My room is located on the main street but it is a quiet main street so traffic noise is negligible for a four level hotel.

Did not meet basic standards of a hotel

Quite a disappointing service even for Ibis standards. The checkin time is so horribly late (3pm) and there are loads of guests waiting in the lobby. The receptionists dont really care about guest services. The room was ant infested, and for 2 days room service was never provided. And when I was, the guy just fixed the comforter and absolutely nothing else. The room was not even brushed, and the bathroom was not cleaned. Unfortunately, I was not in the room at that moment otherwise would've complained.

Overall it's just a 3/10 - and the 3 is only for the safety, availability of the room, and location of the hotel. Would not pay 130 SGD/night for this ever again.

The hotel is in a good location close to the MRT station. There are plenty of restaurants and shops close by. The hotel staff are friendly and hospitaliable.
The late check out is good at 12pm. It means you don't have to rush in the morning.
I have stayed in this hotel twice, I'll definitely be staying there again soon.

If you need a resort experience in your hotel room, this isn't it. But, there are only two things I want from a hotel: A comfortable bed and a hot shower. Check and check. However, be warned... there's a switch outside the bathroom that you must turn on to get hot water, so my first shower was cold!

Pleasant stay with pleasant and helpful staff, which was refreshing compared with the generally cold and often rude interactions from most Singaporeans.

This hotel is within a short walk to Lavender MRT station from which it's a very fast ride to nearly anything you'd want to do or see in Singapore. Locals tell me the tourist MRT/Bus pass is expensive, but I found the convenience and (relatively) low cost to be a great value. I pad less for my two days transportation on the MRT system than I did for my first taxi ride from the airport! MRT is highly recommended.

The Smoker's \"Non-Smoking\" Hotel

What I liked: front-desk staff was helpful and courteous; room was clean initially; location is quite good -- close to MRT and lots of food choices

What I disliked: laundry service takes 3-4 days to return (did not use); seemed to have no separation from room to room above bathroom ceiling panel -- could hear next-door's conversations and TV as if they were in the same room (!); despite being a \"no-smoking\" hotel, guests were constantly smoking, and management's only response was to put an ionizer in the hallway rather than investigate and fine the offenders.

I heard someone was bathing next door when the water tap was on. Because our bed was just near to next door bathroom separated by a thin wall.
The room is tiny but with a very strong central air - conditioner. The tiny is too chilling even we turned on 23°C.
The fridge didn't function well. It suddenly deforsted and may cause worsen the eggs and yogurt.

Worth it for the Price.

Good for the price. Clean, comfortable, and straight forward. Great location near the Lavender MRT (short walk). Nice neighborhood. Can get to the airport easily, or go downtown via the MRT in just a few short stops. Grocery stores and lots pf food shops nearby. No refrigerator in room. Cleaning service did not come until the evening of my second night. Decent place if you're looking for a simple, clean place to bed down and shower while visiting Singapore.

the hotel room condition was very basic. service at the front desk is extremely poor. ran by the organization that manages another chain that caters to low end traveller. do not expect any problem to be solved, they always refer you to hotel reservation and you will not get your issue taken cared. i accidentally booked 3 nights （wrong first date because of time difference）so checked in on the right date and stayed for the 2 nights. reservation still refused to compromise and charged me for the full 3 nights.
room has thin walls, you will hear all the noise from the next room

Ideal for the solo traveler or couples in love looking for private Singapore accommodation that's located in a safe and quite area with lots of inexpensive Fresh Food options' the MRT and a Supermarket all located just a few minutes up the street.
For family travelers and those with an unlimited budget you may prefer to choose another hotel with lager size room.

Initially, the booking was for queen size bed but I got twin bed on arrival. The room had an unpleasant smell as there was no window. Official checkout was 12 pm but the staff started enquiring about checkout in the morning 9 am. Location was good. MRT station and food places were nearby. Breakfast was not included but was available at the charge of 8$ per person and quality was good.

The picture of the hotel is deceiving, it’s so small, no room to walk around. They only gave us one towel each. There’s no hot water. The staff was not very friendly and not very helpful. My Sister and i asked a big taxi cause we had a lot of bags than when our taxi came he didn’t want to take us to our destination. No one helped us with our suitcases. It was just a bad experience. I would not go back there again.

Fragrance stinks.

Soulless rooms lit by lighting you'd normally find in a supermarket. Minimal facilities. It also didn't help that the staff took five attempts to find the booking, even though it was clearly there. Worst of all, the images on the website are not representative of the rooms or hotel experience. The one of the pool is accurate - that's it. I have now stayed at two Fragrance hotels and realise that when I see \"Fragrance\", I should think \"stinks\".

I rented a hotel room there, based on the nice looking pictures supplied on Expedia. Well if these rooms do really exist, I sure did not see them despite the fact I had reserved a 'superior' room. That's what I would call misleading.
When I got to the hotel, I was first sent to a room with no window, room 418 if not mistaken. In the many decades I have travelled , this is the first time I’m given a windowless room, especially as a 'superior' room. After complaining, I was sent to room 218, which smelled so much of tobacco, I thought I might catch lung cancer within 15 minutes. Another superior room?
Finally ended up in room 314, a room so small you cannot open your luggage and walk around at the same time. The internet was spotty at best. Of course no view and no breakfast included.
A total waste of money based on very misleading information. And not cheap either.
You should be ashamed Imperial Fragrance hotel.
This from a traveler who has been around the world.

The hotel was ok for my purpose as we were mainly out during the day. I wouldn't class this as a 3-5 start hotel. Amenities stated that there's a laundry service but there wasn't and the restaurant is more of a cafe style only opened till 3pm. Rooftop pool was nice (but not the view) and the area was convenient as it is a short distance from airport and main attractions. Standard rooms don't have windows which was a real negative for me. Housekeeping wasn't brilliant as they'd replace one mug but leave the other used one in the room.

We stayed our last night at this hotel because it was relatively close to the Changi airport and we had to catch an early flight. It took us roughly 15 min by cab to the airport at 5:30am and costed us less than SGD 15 if I remember correctly. No need to arrange Uber, Grab or call taxis even at this time because it's very easy to find taxis on Lavender Street. Room was small but very clean. NOTE: Bring your own groomings (shampoo, bodywash, toothbrush, etc...) because they only have 1 toothbrush set and \"all-in-one shampoo/body wash\" from the dispenser which wasn't great. Overall, an 8/10 experience for us - served all the needs we were looking for.
