Rest Bugis Hotel has all the amenities all tourists need to have a wonderful vacation in Singapore. The room is clean, the beds are just right, not too soft and not too hard. Their pillows are the best and there are two pillows for each guest. The bathroom size is just right and the shower stall doesn’t leak water out of the stall.There is a projector instead of television where you can watch YouTube. Drinking water is available weather cold or hot all over the hotel. All in all we were all satisfied with our stay at Rest Bugis Hotel
Also, Ivy is very helpful giving us tips about the right places to visit in Singapore.

It was such a great place to stay! Very convenient and easy to access public transportation. It is only 10 minutes walking distance to bugis. Also next to the famous Arabic district and Sultan mosque! Hotel is very clean compare to one we stayed before. Staffs are nice and price is reasonable for Singapore

Strange check-in, long list of things we'd be charged for should we do this, that and the other, sign here, not friendly at all. But the lady on check out was lovely.
The room was very basic compared to other hotels we've stayed in this trip, but the lack of windows was perfect for helping us sleep and reduce our jetlag. Just seemed like an old room in need of a freshen up, but clean and more spacious than other Singapore hotel rooms.
In a great location, 5 minute walk from MRT station and near lots of restaurants.

But i was given a lower grades room with a reason of skylight room not available but when i check again online... There is!! I request the staff to let their reservation department to give me a call but till now, i did not receive any call, email, sms at all.

The place was awesome and not too bad as it was my first time trying at rest bugis hotel but the scent of lemongrass is too strong and the tv subtittles on the lower part could not be seen other than that it was awesome and they should seperate the twin beds dont join them together as i only found out nearer to my day of check out date which is 6.1.2022 there was a power point whereby i could charge nearer to my bed they should improve on the above mentioned

Booked 2 family rooms for Staycation from 24 Dec to 26 Dec 2021. Our room is C203. Our room is clean. The service is very good. The other room C205 which my mom stays in with my brother and sister. The wifi internet connection is very slow. But we were impressed that the staff name Mr Ian from the hotel front desk.Really provided us with good customer service by providing us an extra mile and by providing us a solution at another room C205 by giving us an wifi repeater (rest bugis hotel management). He even provide us rest bugis hotel wifi password. Mr Ian check on his phone for the wifi connection speed inside room C205 is very slow. We would like to compliment Mr Ian for his excellent customer service. We would like the rest bugis hotel management to look into this matter by providing and rerouting the AP so that we have wifi connection inside the C205 Room. Not convenient as no lift access. My mom is old and no.convenient as she needs to clb up and down the staircase. We would like the rest bugis hotel management to look into ways of having lifts access to go into hotels room easier for older senior citizens. Guests booked 2 family rooms with older senior citizens please place us at another building where they is lift access side by side so that we can look after our mom easier. Kindly look into this feedback and the recommendation provided.

Staycation from 24 Dec to 26 Dec 2021. Booked 2 family rooms for staycation.The rooms are located at the another building. Our room number C205 and another room number C203. The place is not convenient for older senior citizens as need to climb up and down the staircase. My mom had a difficulty in climbing up and down the staircase as my mom is old and having leg pain. We would like the Rest Bugis Hotel(Management) to look into this matter by having an lift access so that it will be convenient for older staff to use the lifts to access to their hotel rooms. we are having problem with the Wifi connection.it is very slows. The staff at the counter name Mr Ian went an extra mile by going to our room at C205 to check on our wifi connection by using his phone.but still cannot go through on the wifi connection.He provided us the rest bugis staff wifi connection password but still cannot access.He provided us a solution by giving us Rest Bugis Hotel (Management) wifi repeater at our hotel room. We would like to compliment Mr Ian the service counter staff for his patient, provided us solution for the wifi connection.Its really good in customer service. Only inside the toilet door of room C205 needs to be clean.Its dirty, we told the staff who are going to clean our rooms to clean behind the door as it is very dirty.He acknowledge but did not clean.when we checked.Its best for booking of 2 family rooms to placed us in the another building where there are lift access. Thank you.

Christmas holiday. Staycation with family members. From Friday 24 December to Sunday 26 December 2021. Booked 2 family room. Overall experience ok. It is located at the another building outside. But have to climb up and down the high level of staircases.For young adults and people it is ok but for older adults and people it's not so convenient. My mother is old. Difficult to climb up and down the staircase. Would like to give a suggestion or reccemondation to Rest Bugis Hotel Management, to provide lift for an easy access for older adults or people or senior citizens to use to go into their hotel room easier. Really hope the management of Rest Bugis Hotel would look through into this matter. We were satisfied with the service served by Mr Ian from the counter service staff. He really went an extra mile in providing an service an solution when we told him that our room C205 the wifi is not strong very slow. He went an extra mile to give us a solution in giving us the repeater (Rest Bugis Hotel Management staff) for the wifi inside our hotel room and even tried to check the wifi inside our room by using his phone and provided us with the staff password but the wifi connection still cannot get through its very slow.He tried his best to troubleshoot. We would like to commended him. we are satisfied with his service.We would also like to request the management of Rest Bugis Hotel to look for possible avenue in rerouting AP for wife inside our room for faster internet connection.

Amazing Experience

Booked 15 nights for my parents and they really enjoyed their stay at Rest Bugis Hotel. Great value at this price and it accepts ATP travelers with pending arrival PCR results. Great location, there are lots of restaurants and markets in that area with all kinds of food. You can walk to the closest hospital (Raffles Hospital) in 5 minutes and take Pre-departure PCR test 72 hours before leaving Singapore. Staffs are very friendly and professional. Front desk and the owner helped my parents to order foods during their isolations, activate TraceTogether app, and contacted hospital to make appointment of Pre-departure PCR tests. Janitorial staffs are very nice.

Room is very clean and everything is in great condition. There are big windows and have sufficient sunlight to the room.

At first I was hesitant to book this hotel as some recent reviews were quite negative. However, my experience was a positive one. The room was very clean and tidy, well equipped with basic amenities. However, the hair dryer in my room is not working effectively, it heat up very fast and stopped blowing. The TV was small. But these were minor issues.

The corridor was filled with the aroma of lemon grass, sometimes, I can smell the fragrance inside the room too, which made my room feel refresh.

If you like western food, there are plenty around the area. MRT to Lavender & Bugis is within walking distance, but may perceive as far for some people.

I do not recommend you stay with the hotel, the due Singapore Government canceling inbound flights from china, I could not stay at the hotel, I asked that I change my dates, they agreed then went back on there word and advise that there policy has changed *** ITS NOT WORTH THE RISK *** Im still in the process of arguing with them $350 dollars lost, I even offered one days stays as a fee for changing the dates as this is not my fault ... they are happy to take your money ... its near a bus stop, one ride away to Bugis MRT w/c is just around 500 mtrs from the hotel..the room is always clean thanks to daily housekeeping..our room is located in the adjacent bldg (not in the main bldg) but it was ok since the main door is also card/room key protected so you cant get in w/o it..there is also a parking lot outside..if it helps, there is a 7 eleven store just 20 mtrs away & lots of massage/spa for those aching feet of yours..near to lots of attractions in the Little Arab area like sultan grand mosque, camera museum and haji lane..staff are also friendly but having difficulty w/ their Singlish accent

The location is great. The falimy room is spacious and clean. Very close to MRT bug is. Easy access to raffles city, Chinatown, Clarke quay, Marina bay sands. The stuff were friendly and helpful. My family did have a good time in Singapore.

It would be much easier if there was lift. Also, the air con is too noisy. Hope it would be better in the future. In addition, it would be nicer to have one more chair. Now there are two. For family, we needed three or four.

Good for the Price

It was good for what it was. I chose the basement room which was good for the price. And yes it has no windows which I was aware of. Actually didn't mind. Complete darkness for sleep. The walls to the room for the noise level on the street though could have been better insulated. You could hear some talking and normal street noise. It wasn't bad but it's there.

The hallways to the room felt a little musky and maybe an overall scent of covering up that smell was present. Like instead of trying to fix the problem of the smell, they tried covering it up with more fragrant smell, but you can still tell. It's not like you will be hanging out in the hallway so it is bearable.

The hotel is about a 5-7 minute walk to the MRT/Bugis Junction which is very convenient. Also close by are plenty of local restaurants. The hotel itself has a restaurant but I did not get the chance to eat there.

The Wi-Fi was good, no complaints. They also offered a phone to take out if you wanted.

The pool is on the smaller side but it's also nice to have access to just to relax.

I would stay here again for the price and location. Also note, there was a S$100 deposit at check in for security which I got back when I checked out.

The staff here seem very nice - they printed our Universal tickets for us when we requested it. However, they called us bang on the dot at check-out, just as we were leaving the room. (I know, what kind of slackers are actually still in their room at noon check-out).

The room is very cramped - the curtains are hard to open/close as the bed has to sit riiight up against the window. Basically, you could fit this entire Bugis room into the Bathroom of the hotel we stayed at in Kuala Lumpur - and we paid less for the KL room.

There is white-light and grey walls - so it looks very dreary. If you need good lighting to stand in front of the mirror, this is not the place for you.

MOULDY BATHROOM CEILING.
So mouldy! There did not seem to be a working fan in the bathroom.
But the rest of the room seemed very clean. The shower was good and the bed is also very comfortable.

The amenities provided are fantastic - however they're all packed into one bag. If you only needed one item from the bag (like me), they'll replace the entire bag - even if everything else is unused. It felt very wasteful and so I didn't want to open the replacement amenities pack.

The Emergency Evacuation Map by the elevator is inaccurate - mixing up the stairwell with the first room on the level.

The bed was horrible uncomfortable. I had trouble sleeping both nights and back pain the next days. Also my room was supposed to have a balcony but it didn't. The staff was kind and the shower was nice but not worth it. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to even my worst enemy.

I stayed for 3 nights. Room was smelly due to shampoo dispencer leaking into bathtub giving entire bathroom/toilet a strong lemony smell which used to creep into bedroom everytime I open toilet door. Hotel staff failed to take any action despite complaining after spending first night.

Wonder why the rate of this hotel is so bad....
This is a small hotel, room is a little bit darker but clean.
Quite peaceful since not much residents.
Have many bus lines and can reach in 1 min.

My first time in Singapore and Hotel staffs are friendly room are clean Have a small elevator so that I don't have to use the stair with my luggage. Comfortable to walk around the hotel area Also some restaurant close by that you can get food. Hotel provide breakfast and I enjoyed

Perfect place

Loved the free phone and Internet. Made life easy. Hotel staff helpful and the room was small but not by Singapore standards. Killer shower!

Good location, a bit noisy if on Victoria Street

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast small and not much variety but tasteful. Swimming pool a big bonus with good view over the City. Centrally located close to bus and train. Room was good considering the price we have paid. Complimentary water and tea and coffee daily. Overall it was good value for money considering the rate we paid which was Very low per night including breakfast.
Would recommend that the walls in the walkways be renovated.

Returning to a nice place

Returning to this hotel as the service is prompt and good, the BF is best of the hotels in this price class,variety is good. Only peoblem is seating capacity is limited.
It has a cute pool on the roof

Extended stay in Kampong Glam

Nicely situated hotel on the corner of Jalan Kubor and Victoria street. It's close to Bugis MRT and buses stop outside. The staff are friendly and helpful

Not worth the price

We stayed at basement superior room for a night. Room was small, toilet has a terrible smell and light was very dim (looks eerie to me haha). Only the location is acceptable but still a bit far from mrt station. Not worth the price of $150 which I have paid.

Loved the area, hotel a bit tired, corridors highly perfumed but the room was o.k. small, quiet and everything worked. Breakfast choice limited but adequate. Easy walk to Little India, Arab Quarter for shopping and easy walk to Bugis MTR on airport line.

Clean room, great location

Lovely location, the area is peaceful and enjoyable with cafes and local stalls nearby. 10mins walk from Bugis mrt.
The room was small which is typical in Singapore, but it was clean and comfortable. The hotel is quite old though.
Plus point: the staff were very helpful and friendly!

Matchbox room... dynamite location!!

The staff were very friendly and welcoming! The location is great! We were vegetarians and the veggie eating places especially the Indian eating places were all within walking distance!

The rooms were a little small which we did not expect. Later we were told that these were infamously called \"matchbox rooms\" !!!

Arab Sector hotel

It's an old hotel and our room was small, but it was adequate. The room was clean and well equipped. There was a musty smell in the hallway but once in the room it was ok. I think it probably was the carpet. Our room had a tiled floor which was good. Included in the price was a very nice breakfast. They do have a strange policy where you have to leave $100 cash deposit for the room. They told us that if we used a credit card it would be weeks before we got our money back. There are a couple of cafe/bars close by which are nice and the Arab mosque with the restaurant area is just a 5 or 10 minute walk. Also there is a big undercover market where the locals shop just a 10 minute walk away.

Horrible Manager

Well, I was honestly pleased with the services from a few staffs that I had encounter and was definitely pleased with my rooms and even their facilities however what ruined the reputation was the manager itself. I'm not trying to be mean or being racist here but he was an Indian Manager who was utterly rude when he talked to my friend. He was trying to indirectly asking my friend to shut up while he talks. Furthermore, he tries to push the blame to my friend and asking her to admit she was lying and etc. Honestly, we were lying as we were scared we made spoil their hair dryer which went off after like 20 seconds of using it so we panicked. Then, we called the desk and the manager came up to check but the moment he held the hair dryer, he spoke firmly and rudely to my friend. We were all shocked, with the attitude he has carried and portray. Overall, the hotel was good but just the manager itself. If it wasn't for the manager, I would definitely come back.

My Experience

the room in the same class is different to each other... some in square shape, some in L shape.

the bathroom shower is good but not very clean. some room have a mold on their bathroom ceiling.

i have a bad moment 1 time when sleeping, and i found myself wake up at 3am and my feet is having a lot of red bug bite mark. I guess it's a bed bug. and so i tell the reception and they send me to a new room and it's better.

I already stay more than 2 times in this hotel. and my experience is vary, the last one isn't very good, but I think, judging from the price and other benefit. it is worth it.
