The room was ridiculously cold, and you can’t turn the AC off. I’m from northern Canada and it’s the coldest I’ve ever been.. I had to take the blanket off the other bed and I was still freezing. Aside from the it was ok, but still not very good for the price you pay

There is only 1 common bathroom, that to extremely small and dirty. Caulking around the sink had black stains not sure what is was.

You get what you pay for. Ok for a one night stay but wouldn’t recommend more. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to MRT station. Incredibly basic and not a comfy bed. Noise in the corridors was the loudest I’ve ever experienced. Constant noise up to 12/1am, and then from 6.30-9am.

Didn't have a great stay for a few reasons. We stayed on the 60th birthday of Singapore, which made the hotel very busy. The lobby was packed full of people and the staff seemed stressed out. The building is very old and needs a remodel. The bathrooms are very small, where you use the toilet and shower at the same time. Excessive use of bleach to clean the room made my eyes sting. The air con temp was hard to control so I was very cold during the night. I have stayed in a few of the Hotel 81 locations but this was the worst one. I wouldn't stay here again.

There was no window in our room, which made it feel very enclosed and isolated. There was also small ants in the room. We did not see any other bugs than the ants. The bed was hard as well, and the room was small. Exept from that it was okay, but a week there was a bit too long. The food nearby was amazing, there was also walking distance to MRT and shopping centres.

Had a room without a window. It smelt musty. The room’s air conditioning ducts might need a good clean. The bathroom was a wet room, the layout meant that using the shower wet the whole floor as well as part of the sink and toilet bowl. The sealant on the walls in the bathroom showed signs of mould.
However, it was a good location and the reception area looked good. The staff were efficient and helpful. I would certainly consider staying in a Hotel 81 hotel again, but would probably opt for a room with a window.

Unfriendly staff, dirty room and the room was not clean.
We woke up with cockroaches around our bed and the next day we woke up with water leakage around our bed

Wotif overcharged charged us unfairly. Not recommended for anyone from our side.

Awful. There are better options for the price. This was the last hotel for the end of my trip. I only needed to spend the night before my flight and I did not even want to stay in this hotel.

There are better units for the cost. I only went with this because in the pictures looked better. Total deceived.

Small. small, small.

two twin beds is all it fit. mere space to move around.

One of the beds was touching the \"wall\", painted glass, of the shower. There was some light still see through.

The bathroom attrocios. Sorry, bathroom/shower. You shower above the toilet. We were two people and for sure one was going to make the room nasty for the other one. Super tiny.

And last, but not least. Infested with either silverfish or ants, or some sort of crawling creature.

We arrived very late, maybe 1am, and were going to leave around 6am...the front desk was already meh about our arrival, so we kind of close our eyes and avoid complaining since that for sure was going to keep us up and awake for longer.

Please, search for another place.

I was happy with the vicinity but the condition of hotel wasnt great, there was a scent on the first day including the noise. I was not able to sleep proper;y but the scent within the room was overpowering. It needs to be taken care of before it becomes hazard, the only extra star is for the staff more importantly the manager serving. The rest looks uninterested.

\"You get what you pay for\" really applies to this hotel.
The web site advertises a fridge and safe in the rooms. They just fail to say that these items are only in the premium rooms. The room was reasonably clean, however, place is dated and not in the most desirable area.

Amazing location

The location is amazing, close to the subway station. The room for the most part was clean, although it needs a little bit of TLC with all the dusty-looking vents. Be aware that the toilet and the shower room are all connected so when you shower, everything gets wet.

The only thing that I did not like was that there isn't a window and it was not indicated when I booked my reservation. I always have to have a window when I book a room because without it, it's depressing and I want to know when it's morning already.

But other than that, not too shabby for somewhat of a budget hotel. It was still pretty expensive but I guess that's how it is in Singapore.

When I arrived, there were muddy footprints in the bathroom leading to the vanity. The bathroom itself needs a good scrub. The air conditioner was too cold and to switch it on / off, you have to call the front desk every time! The extra blanket provided was so old and had holes from cigarette burns. The staff were pleasant enough and I liked the wifi and luggage storage. The best thing about the hotel was the location! So so close to an MRT station and within walking distance to Bugis.

First day, the room was not clean at all. The bed sheet and bed has dust . Bathroom has mold . I guess the room was never been clean at all when we checked late because we arrived early morning. The hotel is in little India agood location. Close to Jalan Basar MRT. Walking distance to Bugis. I have stayed here a number of times and staff have always been pleasant. Surprised to see that the room had a small refrigerator which was a good improvement. Would stay here again.

The stay at Hotel 81 Dickson was one of the worst of my life. Here is a small list of all the issues with the hotel:
- No soap
- No hand towels
- Wifi did not work
- Tissues instead of toilet paper
- No mini fridge
- No actual shower, so when I showered the water leaked into the bedroom
- The temperature is only controlled by the reception
- Ants in the room

On top of all these issues, when we arrived, we noticed that the sheets were dirty and we had to ask the staff to change it 4 times. The staff at the reception were incredibly short with us and would hang up on our calls.

Luckily for us we didn’t have to spend a lot of time at the hotel and we ended up staying for only one night. I would highly advise you to avoid this hotel.

I have stayed at this property a few times now and this was the first time that the noise from some patrons is totally inconsiderate of others, Starting from early hours of the morning, around 2am. I had to go to reception to complain. The staff responded pretty quickly, which was appreciated.The noise was not to any specific night it happened on a regular basis over the 11 night I stayed there.

Expectations Met.

The stay was as expected. The reviews had prepared us for small rooms with no windows, but they were clean and all in all, this hotel met our requirements. Location was perfect for our needs. The staff were very helpful. Close to both Rochor and Jalan Besar MRT stations, as well as Little India, I would recommend this hotel for sheer value for money. There is a 24-hour coin-operated laundromat closeby.

One of the worst experience

One of the worst experience I had at this property. There were loud noises coming in the middle of night. Air conditioner didn’t work. We had to call service desk, AC will work for few hours and would stop working again.
There is water leaking from roof. We complained to Manager about the issues. They changed the room but issues remain on the new room as well. Management is aware of the issues at this property but looks like they don’t care.
