Pool was the reason we came. It was super cold and unusable. Manager said it is never heated. Hot tub was lukewarm and never got hot. Manager said to turn on the jets to fix the problem, but that just blew around the already-cold water. Property is kinda rundown and in need of an update.

The had black stains or burns in carpet, bathroom faucets were loose and had to use both hads to turn on and off, stains on walls and doors. Weather was warm, but you could not you pool or hot tub because it hadn't been clean, and strangers walking through the paeking lot day and night.

Desk clerks were very nice. Location is beautiful. Price of room seemed high for what you got - furniture was out-dated, old and scarred. The bathroom was so small that the toilet was installed on an angle so that the door could close and scarred.

I’ve stayed here before and I’m not gonna lie this was maybe the worst visit we’ve had. Room is a bit run down but that doesn’t bother me as much as the fact that 1) there was still coffee in the pot 2) a thing of orajel on the floor behind the night stand 3) hair in the tub 4) the firmest mattress on the planet 4) trash on the grounds for more than 48 hours.

That all being said the staff is nice if inefficient, and the breakfast is good. Seems like it was a nice place that is just old and the staff is either over worked or lazy. Not sure which.

Rating would be a 2.5 if I could give half stars

General quality of the rooms was way outdated. No plugs by the bed. Everything was across the room. The walkways on the second floor were rotting away, you could feel it as you walked. The front office smelled terrible.

They can start their breakfast time a little earlier, and while taking a shower the bathtub would fill up.

One night while asleep was woken by the fire alarm and once getting shoes on and getting to the door it went off, no explanation to why.

2. tub faucet loose, leaked when turned on..
3. No outlets available at desk for laptop power,
4. no outlets available at either side of bed.
5. TV viewing poor quality, could not adjust screen layout, picture viewing cutoff on both sided, terrible.
6. Room key access was difficult, had to play with it to unlock door.
7. coffee was extremely terrible, tried both options, both terrible, did not taste like coffee at all
8. breakfast - would not allow take to room, had to eat in restaurant area. bacon was the cheapest quality I've ever seen.
9. small toilet paper rolls, paper super thin, could see thru it, because it was so thin had to use most of it, very low quality toilet accessories

My room definitely showed its age. The newish toilet was not seated to the floor well and wobbled side to side. Shower was hard to get started. The secondary security lock was coming loose from the door. The room was very clean and staff are pleasant to deal with. Not terrible but very average. For the price I will stay elsewhere next trip.

The rooms are Gross. First room 148 smelled like Cigarettes.So they moved us to a new room. We always check for bugs. So we lift the mattress and found a Trojan condom Box under the bedding. Then when I went to the overnight desk clerk, he acted like no big deal happens all the time. When I told him I wanted a new room, he said it wasn’t fault for how housekeeping left the condition of the room and then reluctantly moved us to a new room. Next room was 130. Room was best one of the three. Smelled like slight mildew, furniture looked dirty and greasy. Refused to sit chair eew. Slept on top of the bed after going to Target and getting my own bedding. The Campbell Inn is in serious need of 100% overall. Even breakfast was bad. This was the first time ever that I had to use a knife to cut pancakes. Disgusting!

The Campbell Inn is old and tired. The Beds, Couches, Chairs, Lights, Electric Outlets, and more need to be updated. There are not many other hotels in Campbell. Maybe it would be worth an upgrade.

It’s right next to the par course and bicyclists and walkers use the hotel parking lot so be careful when driving. We had some hard stops. The hotel is strict about breakfast and even taking a cup of coffee to your room. It’s like we were we were view with scrutiny. When asked, what room would you like, I said, which one do you think is best, she says, I don’t stay here. I hate the smell of carpet cleaner in the rooms. The hotel is ok. The hotel was quiet and convenient. The beds fine. It is dated.

The rooms have been updated since the last time I stayed. That was a plus. It’s always a nice less expensive option when you refuse to stay in cruddy hotels. However, I found a towel with a long black hair hanging from it. I have blonde hair. It made me second guess all the towels. Otherwise, the rest of the room was very clean.

The Campbell in is a fine place to stay if you’re looking for a decent price and the only time you are going to be in your room is to sleep and shower. The amenities are scarce, there is no cable tv - you only get digital over-the-air channels - and the beds are semi-comfortable.

The room was not only old, but smelled of mildew (visible in the shower), the cieling was full of stains, the front door flip lock was rickety at best. The exterior of the hotel was very clean and well kept, but the interior needs serious upgrade.

The location is ideal, the staff was lovely, and the grounds are very cute - but the interior of this hotel is badly in need of refurbishment for the price. Our bathroom door and walls had odd stains, the door did not latch, the fixtures and furniture were worn and tarnished, one of the bedside lamps was broken, the carpet throughout the room was visibly dirty, and the TV was of such poor quality that we couldn’t make out the score on the MLB game we were watching. We only stayed one night and again the staff was great, but I would not repeat the experience for $115.

The inn is obviously aging, but still well maintained and clean. Having both a microwave and refrigerator in the room was great and I enjoyed the pool very much! Would have appreciated towels being available by the pool, and was a little disappointed that there were no lounge chairs. Overall, the hotel met all of my needs and the staff was courteous and helpful. I would stay here again.

For the money per night, you can't find a better location and the staff is wonderful. Just don't expect modern rooms or amenities as I said it is older and in need of renovation.

It was a good stay for 170 room in the area. If you dont mind hearing loud people/road noise through the front door. You should be good. The room could have some up keep done. But for the price it was good!. The check in/check out clerks were ok. Maybe doing the job to long. The ladies that make the breakfast is where the staff exceeded. They were great. Helpful,quick, polite,kind and seemed to like their jobs.

Everything was just what I needed it to be for a quick overnight stay between my gigs. Staff was very polite and helpful. The grounds were very nice and the room and bathroom was very clean.
The only thing I wish was better was that there wasn’t a clock in the room or a place near the bedside to charge my phone. Need a couple more convenient electrical outlets for charging during the night.

Nice cozy older hotel, worth the cost.

After reading multiple negative reviews I was afraid of what I would find at Campbell Inn. I was pleasantly surprised with the landscaped property and safe surroundings. The hotel is dated, but we found it clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. The breakfast was ample. The main downside for us was the hot tub was out of service and the pool surface appeared dirty. If you are looking for a lower priced option in the San Jose area I wouldn't hesitate to try the Campbell Inn.

Worn at the edges -- cobwebs outside and chips on furnishing in room. Handheld shower did not work in accessible bath. My biggest complaint: 9am staff banging on the doorl to 'remind me' that checkout was 11am -- and then 10:27am call to room phone to remind me again. COME ON. That is ridiculous.

This is an old rundown hotel. Staff very unfriendly. Breakfast is a joke. The first day we were there all of the hot dishes were cold and they ran out of coffee. There is no fruit. There isn't even cable tv. Wow you get the choice of watching old reruns of The Rifleman or Murder She wrote! I do not recommend this to anyone and I will never stay there again. No one on duty who can make a decision. Manager never there.
