Originally we booked a double bed but no room available. Room had heaps of natural light with big windows which had mould on outside - this is the tropics afterall.
Breakfast was pretty basic, eg no egg station.
Area came alive at night and hotel very close to Bugas MRT station.
Overall was OK for a 2 night stay.

I usually book deluxe rooms for my stay at the hotel but this time I opted for a superior room as I was staying for just a night to catch my flight home from my trip to Thailand. Upon entering the room, I was dumbfounded to discover the room looked really tired. The wood panels and the wardrobe really needsto be replaced. So is the toilet door. Really disappointed.

Average that needs upgrade. Checking-in took a very long time especially after a tedious flight after midnight. 2 rooms booked for king size bed respectively but only one available ended up with a 2 separate beds--very disappointing when already booked months ahead. Fridge was warm then discovered by maintenance staff it was plugged in to the wrong socket..unable to drink my beers after 2 days. Overall the service was good!!

We had to change our room because the bathroom was so small. Terrible and lots of mold growing. They moved us to another room with a bigger bathroom and everything was OK but after the second day, we could not control the AC and it was very cold. The area was very busy because of Ramadan and we had to wait long time for a taxi over 1/2 hour.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Village Hotel Bugis. The location was great- three blocks to the MRT, two blocks to the Sultan mosque, great eateries all around. Huge shopping center by the MRT. The beds were comfortable, the room was very quiet, and the pool was lovely to cool off in, after a big day of sightseeing.

One star off due to its age, the hotel and the rooms are really dated. Otherwise a very good hotel overall. Staff are helpful, location is great, five-minuet walk to Bugis Street and shopping malls. MRT station (Bugis) also around. One 7-11 right across the hotel. And very easy to call for Grab (taxi)usually a short 3-5 minute wait.

The property is extremely tired and expensive for the condition of the rooms. The safe and the fridge in our room didn't work. There was rot in the timber on the bottom of the bathroom door. They had cut some of it out rather than replacing the door and the trimmings. The most disappointing stay of a 3 week trip.

There was no room service, I got food poisoning from the seafood buffet on New Year’s Eve, the decking around the pool was lifting off so one had to be weary not to trip or get splinters, no pool bar to get the kids drinks or snacks, the breakfast was very expensive & defiantly not worth it

The room was adequate apart from a family room having a super size king (for 3) and a single, rather than 2 queens or a king/queen and 2 singles. The mosque is quite close and there is singing over the loudspeaker very early in the morning. It doesn’t go for long, but it did wake us up. The staff were very helpful, though, on both checkin and check out.

Great Hotel in Great Area with Great Amenities

The Check In process was seamless and they upgraded us to a better room. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. It was within walking distance to all transportation and to many malls. Many food, vendors and restaurants just steps away. The air conditioning worked amazingly. The bathroom a great size with all the amenities included like shampoo, shower gel, and toiletries. Definitely used the water kettle for coffee and tea that was provided. Even slippers were provided, but I brought my own. There was no carpet which made it easier to move my luggage around the room. There is a 7-11 across the street to purchase water, ice cups, and your cup of noodles. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

We had a family room which was wierdly a superking and a single bed rather than 2 doubles. The room was fine, clean and comfortable.

The main thing missing is that this hotel does not have a bar! There are 2 restaurants which we didnt try as we felt they were very expensive but the lack of bar meant you cant get a drink when you're by the pool. The pool was nice and cool, and although there weren't many sunloungers, most people weren't staying there long, so we didnt struggle to get one.

The hotel is convenient as its only a block away from Bugis MRT.

Service executives really make the difference

There was construction work and prayer calls that broke my sleep but Jeffery and Sobana provided such excellent service in handling the situation that it is now my favorite place to stay.

The staff are welcoming and actually put in so much extra effort to take care of guests.

From before check in when i rang to double confirm my booking, i dealt with Jeffery who tirelessly had to man the lines while checking in guests. Even during peak period he never lost his cool and was an epitome of service excellence. Definitely management material

Sobana is warm and endearing. Every time any assistance was needed she was the smiling face at the counter that i knew would ensure all issues were settled. The presence of such genuinely caring
staff!

Fabian& tricia were also pleasant &helpful when needed.While Faisal seems less experienced,he strives to be helpful & was very professional at all times.

Wang dong was great at his room make overs and very polite. While the room dresser is dated,efforts have been made to upgrade the other fixtures and bathrooms.

Soap dishes at standing height would be helpful too for guest comfort.

The hotel is well placed with bugis junction and little india etc nearby. There is a slight hassle of parking as the car could not be parked for more than 42$ worth and if so the remainder is charged to the guest. This was not always 48h but sometimes less than 45h maybe due to the varying rates?

Overall i thoroughly enjoyed my stay due to the excellent staff.

Property could do with some renovations, however it was still a really enjoyable experience. They even set up a play area in our room for our toddler (never experienced that before). Thanks :)

Arrived very early in the morning and check in was quick and easy. Lovely nice and clean big room.
Within 5 minutes of reporting the fridge not working in our room, the hotel replaced it with a new one.
Location was great, lots of eateries and things to see. Not far to walk to the Metro station to go further afield.

Previously known as Golden Landmark Hotel, it has been refurbished and looks much better. We got a large room with a large double twin. The flooring has been replaced with wood laminate for practical reasons. Bed was rather firm which was fine for me, although my wife did not appreciate it. Shower area was rather narrow, but toilet size was pretty decent. The location was next to Kampong Glam with quite a few quaint food joints catering to Muslims, especially quite a few Turkish restaurants. It’s also a 30mins walk to main shopping areas like Suntec City and Bugis Junction, the latter also access to the subway station.

Village Bugis is well-located just a block from either Haji Lane and the Sultan Mosque. I was only there one night and checked in late and out early, so I didn’t get to experience the hotel much. For the price - a 10/10! It’s a little dated, but comfortable and convenient. This is my second time to stay, and I would stay again.

Reasonably priced hotel in good location

This hotel is in the Bugis area, and you can walk to many shops and sites. There is a Big Bus stop right at the hotel if you are interested in visiting sites on the hop-on/hop-off. The attached shopping mall didn't have much of interest to us, but there were lots of restaurants nearby. We also had a great view of the mosque from our room and could hear the call to prayer (it wasn't loud/intrusive but we were definitely aware of it).

The service of the hotel is very good. Staff is friendly and efficient.
The beds are comfortable and the room is spacious. We enjoyed the large window and the view.
The location is excellent with conveniently located subway station and shopping streets.
The facility desperately needs a refresh. The bathtub is surrounded with moldy caulking. The bathroom sink is fairly new but the faucet is not delivering water properly to the sink. There is exposed construction concrete around the bathroom door. The luggage platform inside the closet is covered with stained filthy looking carpet. The safe did not work and we had to request for service twice during our two night stay.

I booked a family room with a King and Twin Bed; however, the hotel only has 1 1 x king bed with 1 single bed option or 3 x single bed for a family room. The advert/room options should be updated to reflect this. We did not have any option but to accept this when we reached the hotel which was disappointing.

Apart from this - hotel is great and is conveniently located that provides access to the vibrant Arab Street and little india.

Far from expectations according to pictures.
Hotel gave us first an old-fashioned room (children room) with low quality and bad smell in the toilette. This room had king size bed.
We complained and they changed us to a newer room closer to what we saw in pictures, but room had two separated beds. The hotel appearance was not nice for the paid price and the number of stars it claims to have.

This hotel isn’t the newest, or the cleanest, or most modern but what won me over was the fact that the hotel was able to accommodate to my request for a King sized bed, the view was amazing, and within walking distance to SOOO many halal food options.

And their bed is soooo comfy 10/10 would come here again for the convenience but if you’re someone looking to stay in the room all day then you might want to reconsider this place.

This property is a bit old but cleaned, the room I had with a king size bed was big and I love it, location is superb, Bugis junction and other shops surrounding near by is walkable, no probs in regards to dining/shopping options there are so many in the area, MRT is a 5 min walk which was very convenient for a tourist like me, for its location I would definitely come back and the staff are friendly and helpful, a place to stay if you are visiting Singapore on a short time.
