Clean hotel

The hotel was clean. Just ask for your beddings or towels to be changed. They cleaned our room everyday. The staff were kind and accommodating especially Jaspeet. It is quite near Rochor station so we did not have any problem in sightseeing and going to the National Stadium for the Eras Tour. There is also a 7/11 and restos near the area. We had a nice and comfortable stay. Thank you. 😊

Had my worst hotel stay at this hotel.

1st - the rooms gets flooded due to leakage of air-cond water. The staff wouldnt do anything to solve, but will come next morning to mop the water off.

2nd - There was no toilet bowl seat when i checked in. They only replaced one the next day. Thats 24 hours after my check in. The reason given at the front desk was, ' yeah, we have few rooms where the toilet bowl seat is broken, so we removed it. if you want i can buy and fix tomorrow'.

I stayed there 3 nights, and each night it would get floored with water and i didn't get to change room even after multiple request. The worst customer service i have ever seen !!!

Even as there is no avail room, night manager and staff hold me to wait for 45 mins while they go through the process of checking, not sure for what though. Waited from 4am. To 4.45am.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sandpiper. Mr Gill was super friendly and especially helpful as regards local info. The hotel is well located in Little India, close to a number of Subway stops, so you can get everywhere pretty easily. We were also happy with our room - it may have been a little small and windowless, but we knew this when booking, and the bed and shower were good. Singapore is an expensive place, and we felt the hotel represented good value for money. We'd happily recommend it to others.

In Little India and close to MRT BUT...

Uncomfortable beds, TV did not work, virtually no toilet paper left on the roll when we arrived, hot water slightly warm at best, lots of noises in the corridors all night and room with a \"window\" was a joke. However, while it was amongst the worse hotels I have ever stayed at it was nicely located in Little India Singapore and close to the MRT

The service was terrible! They gave us the room with 2 single beds & refuse to give us the room with the double bed but only if we can pay $30 extra per night for that room.

in our booking (2single beds/double bed),it clearly said that *subject to availability of the rooms.
Well, the double was available..
So why we paid $90 (we stayed for 3nights)

the service was terrible in the day.
Couple of the staffs was nice enough to even greet or smile.

NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN UNLESS WE REALLY HAVE TO or WE HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE

There is a reason why it is cheap

There are bad hotels with acceptable service. And there is Sandpiper hotel with an unbelievably condescending and rude receptionist who doesn`t have a slightest interest in doing his job. Someone needs to teach that guy that adding \"sir\" at the end of the sentence does not transform a rude remark polite.

hotel maintenance does not know WHAT IS HOT WATER SHOWER. Guest complaint to counter about the hot shower but cannot be repair due to holiday. On top of it, claims that the \"warm\" is acceptable for shower. Unfortunately, when guest return back to hotel is late nite with cold input and cold output. So the \"warm\" is likely due to hot weather in the day which makes the water temp slightly higher.

Good Budget hotel with good afternoon staff

The hotel manager Gill is one of the best I had encountered. He will do everything he can to make sure your stay is comfortable.for example: he broth us cold drinks after arrival to cool off from the super hot weather. He showed us where the good restaurants are, he waited for my wife's return to ensure she came back safely after a night out. He got us taxi to the airport, waited for it and directed the taxi to the right entrance.
Contrary, the morning staff was cold and unfriendly. I think she needs training from management to be more customer oriented.
All in all, it is a good budget healthy stay, for a good night sleep before our flight out.

This hotel is in a great location, We had a Superior room which was odd as it was the most basic one. The room was small and windowless which wasn't a big problem. The mould in the corner of the shower recess and the tile grout was off putting. A bit of work and some exitmold would easily sort it. The air con could've done with a clean and one evening a towel had holes in it.

The location of this hotel is convenient to MRT stations however it has little else going for it. The room I had was tiny and the bathroom ridiculously designed with no shower screen or curtain so water goes everywhere. The bed was quite hard and since I was located near reception and the street, it was quite noisy. I would recommend looking for a better hotel

the room no table lamp so its basically maximum bright light or nothing. doors can hear people talk outside, bad soundproofing, no soundproofing, i can hear whole conversation of others outside. toilet is clean but the drains really smell and emit bad odor. the air-conditioner blows directly onto your head and cannot adjust in reality. location is veryclose to sim lim tower and mrt trains. great place for asian breakfast siu mai on the Rocor train station makes great local lai cha tea also its called \"Fun cafe\" or something. mostly indian restaurant nearby with no a/c so just buy takeaway and eat in room advised. tv has cnbc and few others. hotel staff very helpful this time. if short stay couple days is ok but definitely not for long stay or with family. wifi is ok.

The hotel request for extra charge $30 dollars at the time I check in although I request a queen bed room. They assign me and my wife a double bed room. To avoid the extra charge i need to accept what they give. The room is underground and the sound insulation is terrible. We can hear every movement of sounds around the hotel. Worst thing is the water pipe make noise the whole night if have others room using the water in hotel. The Daikin aircond is old and noisy when we turn on. We found a row of death body cockroach in the main switch control panel on top our bed. Dryers not working at all the time. Cable TV have only 2 channel to view. Not a pleasant stay.

Experience at sandpipers hotel

I booked a room with queen size bed, but we instead got a room with 2 singles bed. I wasn't informed about it in the email, even when I checked in the hotel receptionist didn't inform me as well.
Room comfort was excellent, nearby there's food restaurant and 7/11 to our convenience.
Wifi usuage have a time limit about 2hrs, I wish they will let us have wifi usage till we check out.

Too small and too expensive for what you get

To start with, the hotel is in a good location if you'd like to stay in Little India. It's right in the middle of all the fun, shopping, restaurants, and bars. The rooms were quite small for the price. The hotel's internet didn't work a lot of the time due to some 'high-end' security setup. The hotel computers went out at one point and all the room keys died. My friend had to wait over 5 hours to check in as they couldn't make her a room key. I'd look around the area and see if there was something better. I would imagine you can find something. This place wasn't nice at all.

'value' for money

No window in the room! shower almost directly above the toilet so you can sit do your business and have a shower. Bed quite short, and room service forgot about my room one day.
