Elevators not very efficient, the only go up to your floor and cannot go down to other floors unless you have a key. This is not very convenient if you are traveling with friends who stay i. Differet floors.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the room that I stayed it showed signs of age but overall is a comfortable stay.

It was a good size room with plenty of space for 2 guests and our luggage. The room had our own mini fridge which was great!

My main gripe with the hotel is that guests have to utilise their in-house streaming/casting if we want to watch anything on TV. There is no option to watch regular TV in the event that the connection isn't good.

I did contact the concierge and a technician was sent to us but it wasn't a hardware issue. The wifi server was most likely overloaded which resulted in extremely poor connection. This was what the technician said to us as well.

The poor connection meant that my videos weren't casting properly - pixelated, 'broken-screen-like' quality. Tried a few different apps (Netflix, Youtube etc) so we know for certain it wasn't an app issue. Essentially we werent able to watch anything on TV. I want to mention that this issue only happened every now & then(im guessing when most guests are in their room and streaming) but it has happened enough times for me to be annoyed.

I was also 'kicked off' the connection on multiple random occasions which meant I had to go through the entire process of taking a pic of the QR code to reconnect to continue.

Most of which are inconveniences which isn't a deal breaker but definitely made the stay less enjoyable. I have stayed at other LYFs and I didn't encounter such issues.

Modern hotel in the Bugis area within walking distance from Bencoolen station which is a great area to easily get to other areas of interest in Singapore. Loved having extra garbage receptacles on each floor, and the gym had nice equipment! Our room had a weird layout and was not the best use of space - it was already small and felt super cramped with 2 large suitcases. Also would prefer to have separation btw the toilet and shower. Light switches were also in 3 different areas around the room, so it was quite annoying to turn them off when leaving the room.

BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD experience, The staff is VERY VERY RUDE and EXTREMEMLY INSENSITIVE. They didn't co-operate at all despite of our continues request for the situation we faced. Hotels are always welcoming and they make you feel safe in there property. But these people keep showing their hotel policies and keep scaring you and doesn't even understand that you have come with your family from altogether a different place for a holiday. I would highly disapproved this hotel for guests around the world. I am highly disappointed with expedia also for there response when we tried contacting the team regarding the issue we were facing from the hotel end. There is lot to write but i am ending here....BAD HOTEL WITH BAD PEOPLE

This hotel has a fantastic location, right in Bugis. The rooms, while small, are very clean and serve their purpose well.

However, a major downside is the incredibly poor Wi-Fi. The connection is unstable and drops constantly, making even basic tasks like checking email or browsing the web a frustrating experience. This would be a deal-breaker for anyone needing a reliable connection for work or calls.

this is not a 4star hotel, its changed names and mamagement over the years and is now a glorified hostel... which is fine but if youre expecting a 4star hotel.... it is not. your room doesnt even have a fridge, there is a communal cooking floor (which again fine.
but its not a hotel.)

also this establishment is cash only, even tho on hotels.com app it is listed as cash payment(in local currency). this isnt true and was frusterating for everyone involved.

if youre staying here its good enough, but do not expect 4 star hotel, its probably a 4star hostel at best.

Good location - variety of eateries and shopping options a short walk away (Albert Food Centre and Bugis+/Junction). Everything in the hotel was compact - reception, lounge, gym, laundry. The rooms were slightly bigger than I was expecting, we booked a nano king room and had enough space for two suitcases to be opened up (when packing). The bed was pushed up against a wall to maximize space so can be tricky for some. Bed was comfy and bedding was clean. The shower area left little too be desired, it is a toilet/shower combo and yes the entire room gets very wet. The basin is outside of the wet room and very small. The room would be more functional if they had better storage solutions, some of the empty walls could do with racks/shelving. They offer housekeeping every 3 days however they came to clean on day 2 but we had dnd on and then they didn't come the next day (not sure how that works). The lifts were a pain, they were slow and very busy, even though there were 3 in use. Would maybe stay again if price was right.

I absolutely love staying at this property. The team led by Front Desk Supervisor Anis is incredible. Their dedication to excellent service, helpfulness & recommendations were all part of making my stay wonderful in Singapore. I managed to get the same room as my previous stay and I must say, I absolutely feel so cozy and comfortable. We had a great stay at Lyf Bugis and it gave us all we needed for 2 nights in Singapore. The room is on the snug side but there was still enough space for a comfortable stay. The staff at check in were very pleasant and helpful and should we have the chance to return to Singapore in the future, we would stay here again no questions asked.

We had a pleasant stay. The location is excellent and the staff very helpful. The room was spotless, which was great since my husband has rhinitis. However, the lack of a proper shower box means the bathroom (and even part of the room) gets wet after showering. The in-room water filter also seemed old and in need of maintenance.

I wouldn’t recommend booking with breakfast included. It’s very basic, always the same, with no juice, fruit, or cheese, and the milk coffee was cold. That said, the house-made eggs, tomato sauce, and jam were excellent. Overall, we’d stay again for the value and location, but without breakfast.

The most disappointing part was the push to go digital with checkin but the process is so complicated, app and wensite are not working efficiently (it could not find my reservation!) and the whole experience with the digital checkin is just frustrating. When I got to the property, I got lost for about 20minutes trying to find the physical check in counter. No clear signs from the L2 dropoff area.

At first when I saw it in person, I feel like I will not have a good time because it seems theres a lot of on going construction. But I was wrong. It was more than pleasant. The room is neat although its small - its good for sleeping. The staff were friendly except the one on the bar - he did not let me wait there if I am not ordering something. He direct me to the waiting area which few step up. Even if I told him my luggage is heavy still did not allow me. But over all it was a pleasant stay that I did not expect. The location is very convenient too to the MRT. I still recommend it for the fair price and location.

The location is great, but the room layout needs some improvement. The King/Queen bed is positioned with three sides against the wall or window, so you can only access it from one side. Additionally, the shower and toilet are in the same space with no door, curtain, or proper threshold, which led to water spilling onto the toilet and even the bedroom floor after a quick shower. The water temperature in the shower was also inconsistent, fluctuating between too cold and too hot.

There were no hooks or bars to hang clothes, and while there is a towel rack with a couple of plastic hangers, the bathroom floor gets so wet that you can't hang your damp towel inside the bathroom. As a result, we've to hang the damp bath towel outside the bathroom, on the same rack as our clean clothes—definitely not an ideal situation.

Another issue is the lack of a phone in the room, which made it impossible to call other rooms. The room key also only works on your own floor, so if your travel companions are on a different floor, you can’t visit their floors and are left to meet up with them in the lobby. This could be a real inconvenience. In our case, my parents need help closing their luggage and one of them has to go to the lobby to bring me to their room.

Overall, while the location is good and the room is clean, the design is poorly thought out. It might be suitable for solo travelers or younger couples, but I wouldn't recommend it for families, seniors, or larger groups.

It is relatively convenient in location. However this hotel is poorly managed:
1) water in the shower was not hot. In the middle of the shower, water stopped coming out. After a minute it came out again. The water pressure was not consistent. No hot water in the sink!
2) We were told no housekeeping service the first night of stay but they serviced the room. We asked the front desk to deliver some towels to us in another night, they delivered it to the wrong room.
3) The queen bed was against the wall with only one side to exit. Sleeping on the side of the bed against the wall, I had to climb over my wife each time I exit the bed. So inconvenient.
4) I had to stream the TV to get to see apps, not even TV channels.
5) There is no phone in the room. Every time I have to contact the front desk, I have to take the elevator down.
6) The Gym and the laundry room are in the same area. The smell of laundry filled the air in the gym. Weary and uncomfortable.
7) The shower set up was poor. Water from the shower can easily wet the toilet and leaks out the bathroom area.

For a 4-star hotel rated by Expedia, it is deceitfully rated. A 3-star hotel at the best!
