Rooftop pool is amazing and we enjoyed swimming there. But most of all, this hotel has the best location in the downtown and next to the MTR station with direct line to the airport. Rooms are nice, but beds were very hard ans windows are small. Overall, great location and service.

Really comfortable 4 night stay. The room had everything I needed: large bathroom, ample floor space to open my suitcase, plenty of desk and wardrobe space. King bed was super comfortable. The daily room cleaning service was also great. Had the chance to use the pool, jacuzzi and the gym and they were all modern and clean. Im quite impressed given that the price point for this hotel was still affordable.

The other great thing is the unbeatable location. Public transport is so easy with bus stops and mrt station meters away from the hotel front door.

I would happily recommend this place to my friends and family.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
The staff were very welcoming, acknowledging us every time we walked in. The room was very well appointed and spotlessly clean, even being made up twice on one of the days we were there. The pool and jacuzzi on the roof level are great.
Right over the road from the MTR station, and just around the corner from one on a different line, giving fast access to the whole city, as well as the airport. Shops and parks are only a short walk away. Great food mall next door with very reasonable and good quality food.
We booked this hotel fairly last minute after cancelling a different hotel which was considerably more expensive and, although we obviously never saw it, appeared to be of a lower quality. We were not disappointed and will definitely stay here again if we return to Singapore.

Firstly, the welcome from the Front Desk staff, particularly Diana was excellent.She kindly let us check in early & everything in the room was very good. The mattress was comfortable, the bathroom pristine and the water pressure was very good. Also, it’s well located as the MRTis maybe 3 minutes away.

We liked that the rooms area good size, and where able to have a balcony to give that fresh air break from the a/c. Except the balcony in our first room faced the exhast fan across the lane, so it wasn't pleasent and the door didn't seem to block out the noise. Then the light in the wardrobe didn't go off so maintainence had to come and disconnect it. Then a fuse took out all the electical.
After a couple of nights we moved to another room across the hallway, facing the main road, no noise balcony was enjoyable and we could sit outside and not be blown away by the exhaust noise, we even had small birds in the trees.
Bathroom layout was not as good as the first room but still functional.
Note if you want to keep anything in the fridge tell recption so the electrical auto isolation is bypassed ad the fridge shuts off with the whole room electrical sensors.
The guest laundry was very useful however the price has gone up to $10 a wash and another $10 to dry not $16 as per the web. (Does include soap)
Colour style is very dark, and stark. Could do with prints or a splash of colour.
Location is very good, if i could get the 2nd room again then we would look to stay again, as the location and area is very handy.

This is an intriguing hotel: one the one hand, it's immaculate, modern and looks almost brand-new throughout. It has a smart, clean, lobby area and a great rooftop pool. The rooms have a pleasing modern-minimalist aesthetic, with subdued greys and browns throughout. The bathrooms are great - stone effect and well lit. The super-king bed was very comfortable: huge, great mattress and pillows, high thread-count sheets. The A/C worked great. Location is also amazing: a bus-stop right outside the lobby doors, across the street from Bencoolen MRT and just around the corner from Dhoby Ghaut MRT . It's a 5 min walk to the National Museum. It couldn't be more central.

What I can't make sense of, is that the hotel has ZERO catering: the lobby has an open-plan seating area with a bar/catering area at one end. It could be the coolest, hipsterish, hangout. But it's dead. There is no restaurant, not even a coffee shop or a morning breakfast bar. Obviously, there's no room service either. What's up with that?

I've spent a whole month at 30 Bencoolen this year (two weeks in March, and two weeks in September). I wouldn't have returned if I wasn't happy to stay there, but I do think they need to sort out the catering arrangements - it doesn't feel like a proper hotel without catering, and I can't help feeling that they are missing out on a huge opportunity to turn this great property (which as I've said looks brand new) into a very hip hangout for travelers and locals alike.

Highly recommended for a family stay. Family room consisted of a twin and a double room plus 2 bathrooms with showers. We also had a huge terrace which was handy to dry clothes after the pool. Rooftop pool and jacuzzi was also lovely. No breakfast is the only downside but there is a food court honestly a 1 minute walk away that does Asian breakfast plus waffles and fresh juices which my British kids loved! Though we would have loved a breakfast buffet. Very very close to 2 MRT stations plus a 3rd is 5 min walk away. We got a taxi to the hotel when we arrived but took the MRT back to the airport as it’s so easy to use and very cheap. That was with 2 kids plus 2 large suitcases and all of also had rucksacks. Highly recommend as a more affordable place to stay in Singapore. Staff were also excellent. Great hotel and would happily stay again.

We were warmly welcomed with an early check-in by the friendly staff. Our room was modern, spotless, and equipped with an excellent air conditioner. The pool was a lovely touch, and the gym was well-equipped for a good workout. The hotel's location is perfect, with easy access to the metro, shops, restaurants, and food stalls. Highly recommend!

At check-in, I did not wish to provide my email address. However, the counter assistant informed me that my email address was necessary to access the in-room WiFi. This is not true, WiFi could be accessed without my email address. I am not impressed by staff members either not knowing how the WiFi password works, or worse, telling an outright lie.

30 Bencoolen was a great place to stay as it was only about 50m from the MRT and therefore very easily accessible from and to the airport and Sentosa which I was particularly interested on visiting for an ocean swim. If you are prepared, then you can take a 45-minute walk to the National Stadium and the attractions there. A very handy location to the Bugis area and the tertiary institutions. There is so much to do and see in Singapore so if you have done Marina Bay etc this is a great location. Very close to a hawkers market as well

The bar is only open during the morning hours and early evening, and restaurant isn’t open at all. The staff is not very helpful and won’t ever leave behind the desk even if you are struggling with your baggage. The only time I saw anyone leave the desk was to quickly hurry us out of the pool 10 minutes before the pool closed (at 9pm) we asked for ice one night and the staff acted so inconvenienced. This hotel looks way better online than it is in person. The rooms are small and have no amenities. I wouldn’t personally stay here again with so many other nice hotels in the area at the same price point.

Great relief after bad experience

Got to this hotel as an emergency choice after our first choice turned out to be a disaster. Staff were very accommodating and let us in the room before the check-in time to find a good bed, decent bathroom and pleasant if neutral decor.
Also good laundry, gym and pool facilities which we enjoyed using.
Location is great right near an MRT station and very central so walking anywhere is a good option too.

The hotel is in a good location and the room was nice and spacious enough. However, it was noisy. The aircon was noisy but there was still a constant noise with it turned off. Also, you could hear outside noise as well as noise from the lobby and the adjacent room.

One of the best hotel I highly recommended

The location of this hotel is very closed to Bencoolen, Bras Basah and Dhoby Ghaut MRTs, within a few minutes walking distance.
I enjoyed staying at the hotel very much, the staffs at lobby reception were great and they are very helpful, always attentive to my inquiries and requests. Room is very clean and quiet, bed is super comfortable. I definitely will stay here again as my preferred hotel in Singapore.
