The hotel is somewhat like a boutique hotel -quaint and small. The reception is just opposite the lift lobby & would need card access to even go to the lift lobby, making it a safe space for solo female travellers.
Room is beautifully decorated with a zen like feel. Clever use of space makes the area much bigger. TV screen is gigantic, with amenities like hotel slippers, toothbrush, comb, shower camp, shampoo & body wash, mini fridge, hair dryer & like the touch screen LED mirror Con is the semi-translucent toilet doors which may be slightly akward if not couples staying. ..and lack of a tea spoon. Otherwise, had a very pleasant stay at this hotel

amazing JI HOTEL

we had an amazing stay. the ckeck-in was quick, janet at the reception was very helpful. the location was perfect. close to Singapura Mall, train/subway,bus stops was very near. Lots of restaurants in the area. check-out was just amazing the Manager assisted us in getting a ride. rooms was just the right size for us. bed was comfortable,pillows were great. bathroom was nice. complimentary water was given everyday

Foul smell from bathroom. Kept putting trash bin over vent on floor. But didnt seem to help.

Community iron and iron board. Liked how a steamer was available.

Needed to get coin from front deak for laundry...
Wish it would accepted card.
And they way i could have added time to the dryer without a whole other hour

We stayed at the property for 6 days in August, and it was a great experience. The rooms are a little small, but extremely clean and functional. The hotel is also located in a very central location with a lot of options for food, shopping and transportation. Overall, a great experience, and we cannot wait to come back here again.

Second time and not dissapointed

It was our second time staying at Ji Hotel Singapore. I love this place due to its convenient location, proximity to shopping district and main attractions and at the same time it is far enough from being constantly surrounded by tourists. The staff at the hotel was helpful but not intrusive, we were able to store our luggage before checking in and after checking out. The room was spotless clean and bed exceptionally good. As a bonus, a bar downstairs. Will definitely stay at Ji Hotel during our next visit.

Good value for solo and short stay

Great location to shops and multiple MRT. The smallest room is fine for 1 pax for 1 night, maybe 2 as its very functionally laid out so everything you need for a basic stay. Not suitable for many hours of laptop work as no ergonomic chair or work desk. Couch and table fine for short periods or eating.

Not all staff can speak English. Be sure to have your towels or toilet paper we'll stocked. Housekeeping response to additional toilet paper will take awhile. Day 1 will have 2 rolls, but subsequent days only 1 roll is provided when they clean your room. Toilets also do not have bidet. Requests for late checkout will be difficult due to demand

The location of the hotel, which included tons of buses and the MRT nearby, was excellent. It was a very clean, small-looking room that was comfortable. The strange thing was the bathroom was entirely see-through, and there was no door/separate room for the bathroom and bedroom. Meaning that you could just turn the corner and see someone on the toilet or shower.

The biggest letdown was probably the TV. The size was amazing. However, TV has limited channels and restrictions. No Netflix or anything similar. Just a couple of TV channels. The chrome cast did not work. Apparently, if you have a Samsung phone, you can link it to the TV and use Netflix that way.

Everything was perfect. I have not 1 bad thing I can say. All staff were amazing. Walking through the Lobby i would be greeted everytime with a happy friendly hello. Even the cleaning and maintenance staff would say hello in passing. Will stay here again on my next trip.

We were shocked when we arrived, the hotel looks nothing like the photos. We paid an extra night (night 1) so that we could book in when our flight arrived at 6am. They didnt seem to get the message until a day later. The rooms are TINY! The bed is up against the wall & there is no coffee or tea in the room. We had to ask for toilet paper. They take a $100 bond - but we couldnt work out what for. This hotel advertises a restaurant from 6am - they DO NOT serve breakfast. They decided to 'update'the TV channels & 24 hours later there was still no signal - I know you dont go to Singapore to sit in the hotel - but come on! If you're paying for it. We were in room 203 at the end of the hall - all night smokers opening and closing the stairwell door so they can smoke - the smell filtered in our room. Cleaning was average at best. The only thing going for this hotel is the location - however, for the price they charge per night you will find better hotels in the area. We booked based on these reviews & did not speak to one person at the hotel that actually liked it - makes me question the authenticity of some reviews. A final viewing of the room is required to get your bond back.. not sure what for, its not like they supply a mini bar.. Our stay here impacted our holiday, we found it so depressing.

Very Clean, New, Small Room

Very clean hotel. The furniture and equipment are in excellent condition. Very good location near famous shopping malls and 3 metro lines. The only downside is the small size of the room. Also, the doors of the toilet + shower are partially transperant, so take it into consideration when you decide with whom you share the room.

Well located property close to MRT and Orchard Road. The hotel rooms amenities were satisfactory although we felt that the cleanliness was a bit lacking. Also there is a recurring banging noise within the walls that is a bit intermittent and appears due to some light sensors which does disrupt sleep every now and then. Hopefully that's something that can be fixed. I also wish that they had more hooks to hang clothes or towels as there were none! Otherwise we had a comfortable stay at Ji Hotel. Comfortable bed and pillows.

The windows were blacked out and other guests could be heard in the corridors. Very small rooms. No breakfast offered. I was told to walk across the road to Plaza Singapura! There are much better hotels in Singapore in the same price range. Don’t pick this one. It was clean, and that was the only thing I can say that was positive.

The staff weren’t friendly, was there to celebrate my husband’s birthday but nothing special was prepared. The pillow was so flat that it was hard to have a good sleep. Sound proof was at its worst as you can hear people outside clearly from inside. Toothpaste stains were found on the wall. There was also a light from the aircon wall control that made it hard for ppl to sleep properly cos it’s too bright. Requested for late check out but was rejected. Inflexible.

Fantastic for the price.

This hotel surpasses my expectation for its price. The room is quite big comparing to other hotels with similar price and such great location. You can easily put two opened large suit case on the floor and still have enough space to walk around. The 65-inch TV is also fascinating also the remote is a little bit buggy.

The only downside may be its soundproofing issue. It's not the wall, but the thin door instead. The environment surrounding is pretty quiet, but the no-soundproofing door might bother you if you are a light sleeper. Luckily, I am a very deep sleeper so this is not an issue to me.

Overall, I definitely recommend it and will personally consider staying here again during my next visit, if the price is still competitive.

Room is clean, big tv. Location is good as it is only a few minutes away from Plaza Singapura and Mrt station.

The only downside is the TV signal. It is super unstable and keep disconnecting every few mins. It is kind off annoying.

But as a whole it is an enjoyable stay.

Excellent room design and accomodations marred by unprofessional staff. Note that we visited at the end of February 2020 and there's a real Corona virus concern. However, the staff insisted on overly intrusive information with the threat of not allowing you to check-in. Then they harass you with digital thermometers frequently. Even though they only have a vague understanding of their operation and usage. All under the guise of public safety. I have no problem submitting to this kind of check to a trained government or health official, but hotel workers are not trained for and/or qualified for this. They just unduly irritate and detain guests. I will never stay here again. I really like Singapore, but I'll select a hotel with more reasonable staff next time.

The rooms are lovely & the hotel is in a perfect location! Close to Dhoby Ghaut station which has nearly every line you will need! The reception staff were excellent, the was a small mix up with our room which was rectified as soon as it was brought to their attention and also offered a free airport transfer! Room sizes are perfect for 2 people.

The environment near to shops, restaurants and good bus connections was excellent The clothes washing machines and driers and the gym looked perfectly good although I didn`t use them personally- nor did i sample the restaurant as there was such good choices outside. Initially the room felt small for two but everything worked well and was spotlessly clean. Pity they don`t have twin rooms: only double Queensize. Also no public rooms at all. Overall good value however.

What I found quite odd was that on 2 occasions after a long day out and about in Singapore a few housekeeping issues were noted (i.e. Amenities not replenished, no supply of complimentary water, bed not fixed..) small issues only but after a long day it’s something you don’t want to see in your hotel room.

This hotel was great from a location standpoint. It was a five minute walk to Dhoby Ghaut station which was very central. The room was very small but clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was functional and nicely laid out in spite of the small room. Overall perfect for a night or two to explore Singapore.

Accidentally saw this hotel while browsing for another hotel in orchard. When i read the reviews, I felt like i wanted to try even though it’s 3 stars hotel coz we usually aiming for new hotel. Turned out we like it coz it’s a new, clean, and well located hotel close to Dhoby Ghaut MRT (but if u are traveling with kids like us, grab will be more convenient without not much price difference, especially when the rate is lower).

Amenities, washing machine and all are still very new and in good condition.

Everybody was nice, Checked in & out were fast. Room is quite compact but everything’s ok. No restaurant as it was still 2 months old hotel (they will open on march).

DIRTY, SERIOUS LEAKAGE, NO TV SIGNAL

Stayed for three nights, the hotel's location is good and that's the only pros. It only looks good from the outside, the facilities does not function properly. BOTH the shower and the sink have leakage and the floor outside the bathroom is flooded with water after each shower. Dust and water stains on their bench near the entrance. Whats worse is that the TV does not function property. It was out of signal EVERY TWO MINUTES and the frontdesk lady said theres a problem with the antennae and it can't be fixed, so you could only MANUALLY RESTART the telly EVERY TWO MINUTES for the rest of your stay. So, if you would like to watch Mission Impossible with your hands on the remote control for two hours AND missing ALL the exciting and important parts, you could give it a try.

Position is everything to me.

I didn't realise how amazing it was positioned untill i see Doby Ghaut metro station. Which is -in my opinion- the most important and accessible station of Singapore. Also, pretty easy to walk all the way to Orchard Rd. Stayed for 6 days, experience was fine.

Pros: -Good position
-New and easy
-250 meters close to public transport both bus and metro

Cons: - Budget hotel,not very comfy or roomy
-Degraded bathroom glass door was installed upside down so me and my s/o was seeing each other whole time, so, yikes!

This hotel is in a great location, just off Orchard and close to several MRT lines. Hotel was clean and beautiful.

Note: They have washers and dryers but they're coin only. Front desk can exchange notes for coins.

The property itself is nicely renovated, all the facilities are nicely done, however, the pipe and the drainage is a problem, the first shower was like flooding, i have short hair, but all the long hair and hair bands come back up from the drainage, and you can see the bandage as well, and it takes about the whole night for all the water went down to the drainage. then of course, it smells. Though the facilities are nicely done, but the wooden floor left with 1/2 of used toothpick and 2 days no cleaning service ppl have pick that up in everyday cleaning. And as the drinking mug, there's red lipstick stain on the cup...Location-wise is quite good, very convenience, however, it give us 2nd thoughts on whether i would go back to stay if i have other better choice.

We like the minimalist style that this hotel has. It’s very clean and neat. The TV was huge which a fantastic plus. However, we booked 3 rooms which have all 3 tv are not working properly. The TV keeps going out of signal every 3-5 minutes or so for roughly 1 minute. This was very inconvenient. One of the rooms we booked the shower drain held up the water when we showered. Hence, we need to stop and start the shower every 2-3 mins. We were also been informed that they need to do the pest control check when we are still in the room that was very strange approach while having guest in the room to conduct such inspection.

Superb location near Dhoby Ghaut MRT. Great service and clean rooms that are good for the business traveler. But don’t expect great amenities - gym is basically a treadmill and an elliptical, and no pool. They also won’t be able to provide you with bowls and spoons should you require them, so be prepared to walk over to Dhoby Ghaut to pick up any extra stuff (which is barely a 2 minute walk).

Newly refurbished hotel. Very clean and new. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very close to Dhoby Ghaut and Plaza Singapura Shopping Centre. Rooms size are average, could be more spacious. The TV tend to turned off itself and restart again. In the corridor, you can hear voices from rooms as you walk past, sound proofing not great. I much prefer if the fridge is colder but I would stay there again if it keep up with the cleanliness. Highly recommended.
