This hotel has a great pool on the rooftop but that's where the positives end.

I have often booked Ibis Budget hotels in Europe as they offer good value for money without compromising on comfortable rooms and a good but basic breakfast. I'm therefore sorry to say that the standards in Singapore Ibis Budgets are much lower.

I was given a room without any windows that was also tiny and had thin walls that meant I was able to hear people in other rooms going to the shower and toilet.

I would have asked to change the room but it was late and I wanted to get straight out for something to eat before everywhere closed. If the hotel has rooms without windows, people should be given the choice when booking if they are prepared to accept this and pay extra if required but this wasn't an option.

Breakfast was also poor with poor hot options and tasteless bread and poor coffee and orange juice.

I would not recommend this area either as there is very little going on in the evening. It would be better to pay a bit more to stay nearer to the marina.

Firstly the hotel staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful, the breakfast was great and the room was very clean. Issue was some noisy, disrespectful guests. The soundproofing did not seem good. A real shame because really affected stay and sleep, otherwise would have been 5*

Location was decent, it’s a quick walk to the mrt. It is a bit small and I had issues with the digital card. Had to get the physical card instead. There’s always a staff at the front if you need any assistance.
Other than that, there’s air conditioning and daily housekeeping. Not bad if you’re mainly looking for a place to sleep only.

We were in a room with connecting doors.. quite noisy but the staff moved us up higher to a quieter floor .. excellent. Room are small but you are only sleeping there. Pool was nice after a hot day out walking and towels provided. Fantastic stay for the price. Very nice friendly reception staff.

The place is quiet and it's easy to walk to Metro. It is close to Little India.

LThe rooms were maintained well but unfortunately if an upstairs room takes a shower it makes a lot of noise. One has to hope they don't shower during the night.

A toilet hose broke in the middle of the night. We were able to shut it off and it was immediately fixed in the morning.

The bathrooms definitely need more light by the mirrors.

The breakfast was okay but could include fruits and stronger juices.

If we stay in Singapore again, we would consider staying in Singapore because of its budget prices and acceptable facilities and services.

Staff were very helpful. Property is definitely budget. Towels were thin, mattress was four inches of foam-very uncomfortable. You have to preheat the shower water to take a hot shower. In addition, not very much hot water to wash and condition hair then clean the rest of you. No refrigerator in the room. Air conditioner was terrific in mitigating the temperature outside!

The property is really close to a metro station and has a very good location, which made it very convenient to get to know the neighborhood and to get to other places. The staff was always very nice and helpful, and the breakfast was also good.

This is a basic cheap modern hotel. No window in the bedroom, no fridge or safe but good bed, good shower, air-con and TV. Basic breakfast with Nescafé but hot Asian food if you want it.

Basic for what you need it for when staying in Singapore. Its a 10 minute walk from Little India and Bus stop 2 on the hop on hop off red line. Around 1 hour walk from the bay and gardens. The hotel its self was fine. Unfortunately not a great sleep due to neighbours in next room talking and the walls having no sound proofing as well as work being done next to the hotel which starts at 8am (fine for us but if you wanted a little sleep, do not book as i image this will be going on for at least 1 year). Clean towels and clean bed. Comfy enough.

Not very convenient for trains etc but in a safe and comfortable area. Compared to other places I’ve stayed at in Singapore this is one that doesn’t have mold in the rooms. They say if you pay under $100 in Singapore the mold comes for free so pay a little extra and get a safe clean hotel.

Nice and affordable stay at a walkable distance to Little India. Both MRT and buses are accessible easily from the hotel.

Although, the room I stayed 214 could be a bit more spacious. I stayed with my wife and there wasn’t enough room to keep both our luggages. We kind of stepped on each other toes.

Another nice thing about the hotel is that the staff were friendly and provided help when needed. Overall it is a good hotel to stay in.

Zero sound insulation, not for light sleepers

There was an entrance for wheelchair users, but the door somehow didn't open n we struggled to get in with 4 suitcases between two people. No help at all. Check in, the lady had no smile, I as the customer was the one to greet her first then the other way round. Took a while to find our booking.

Room has zero sound insulation, could hear v well the conversations of next-door neighbors especially when they are in the shower. Door slams, the elevators each makes different kind of noise when the doors close. Since both elevators aren't connected, people tend to press for both and see which arrives first, I've been able to hear both lifts closing round the clock. The lift for disabled people beeps 4 times but with the third beep the door is closed already, so isn't it kind of redundant and therefore should be reduced to just two beeps?!

The room despite being tidied everyday, I still found dust and hairs floating around on the floor.

Asked hotel to book us a cab, twice they didn't come and the hotel staff didn't even bother to advice us there will be a booking fee payable to the taxi. After wasting half an hour we downloaded the app Grab and booked our own taxi.

Positive remarks: Convenient location, v close to little India. Comfy firm-ish mattress. Cute interior design on the bedroom wall.

Very disappointed experience in QUALITY.

IBIS suppose to be a well-known brand in certain level quality in my previous experience in different locations. It has rewritten all my impressions to the IBIS brand after I stayed with it on this trip.
First night, I battled with the great army of ants in Room215, they marched everywhere; on the wall, on the table, on my body, and my things...etc. The hotel management changed my room to Room901.
Unfortunately, I found somebody's left-over!!! I thought it's someone's blood on the bedsheet initially. It looked like someone's ear-wax (see photos)??
After all matters after these 2 nights, the hotel management simply offered its apology and no further action?? I guess this is I'm not the only case and they seem NOT surprised??

the location for this hotel was excellent , only few minutes away for several metro station. and if you use the bus just step out of the hotel and take the bus. also bus let you in front of the hotel witch is awesome after a walk day .
The rooms are pretty small but we only use it to sleep so .
The food at the hotel restaurant is very good, a little pricy for breakfast but is a breakfast buffet

Arrived at 1pm, but couldn’t check in until 3pm was allowed to use the pool while waiting and bags were stored at reception. The location is great. Use Exit A or C at Little India station to be nearer the hotel. There are many places to eat Asian food near the train station and a little supermarket next to the hotel. There is also a restaurant next door. The room was small and basic , but very clean. Bring your own toiletries. Good enough for two nights stay.

I had a bit of trepeddation staying in this hotel due to the reviews but in general it is a good 3 star hotel. This means yes sometimes some people will have issues but in general the place is really nice looking and the minimum standard is good.

That said be aware there can be smoke even in non smoking rooms due to AC venting. Our windows in the Family suite were painted white and covered by another window that did not open. But at least there is light coming through. Tons of tourists groups, some of which don’t know how to speak quietly in the hallway. But otherwise things are fairly quiet.

Space is tight but if you don’t have large luggage should not be an issue. We had walking space even with 2 carryons.

I was a bit unhappy about the dusty floors along the wall upon checkin but I asked the front desk and they got it swept by the end of the day. I think maybe they don’t sweep but just mop and mop doesn’t reach the crevices like a vacuum or broom would.

Overall a nice property and I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Easy access to public transportations. Bus stop just in front of the hotel, MRT station just 5 minutes walk away.

Cons: The room has no sound insulation and we could listen to the noise from the corridor. P.S.: it was 6 in the morning and there was a group of Chinamen shouting at each other and that was very disappointing that the room was soundproof.

One of the hotel staff kept closing the next room's door loudly and repeatedly for 15-20 mins while we were sleeping in the afternoon. The room was tiny, shower water would splatter outside the shower and on to toilet. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Cute hotel but slightly far from MRT.

There s a bus stop just outside but no hotel staff could tell me HOW to use it to and from airport. We were early for check in so left our luggage. Staff promised to move the luggage to our room as soon as room is available. Previous to making reservation, I went and ssked to see the room 712 with 2 beds and was impressed. When we came back late and tired ready to relax into our room, not ONLY did we have to move our luggage, they gave us room with 1 queen bed and delapidated aircon which we did not know how to switch on since controller had lost all markings. We were moved to another room with 2 beds 2 times before we RELUCTANTLY agreed as we were already too tired. Wifi was also terible rooms 506, 512, 612
