Everything is as it should be. The hotel was very clean. Only a 2 minute walk across the street to Little India Tekka Food Center. A 5 minute walk to the MRT that takes you to Marina Bay in 10-15 minutes. The rail system is amazing, you can get everywhere in Singapore from here and it only costs about $1 each way! Highly recommended!

The location is very convenient, with several metro stops nearby that make it easy to reach different parts of the city.

The room was spacious and clean, and it included a small kitchenette that was fully equipped, which was very practical for the stay.

One downside was that my room faced a major boulevard. The windows were not very soundproof, and I could hear traffic noise during the night.

The hotel has a lot of potential, but a few issues really took away from the stay. The biggest concern was the bathroom setup. There was no electrical outlet for a hairdryer, which is a pretty basic expectation. When I reported it, maintenance brought an extension cord to run into the bathroom. That felt unsafe and honestly like a fire hazard, not an appropriate long-term solution.

Service at the front desk was inconsistent. Some staff members were friendly and helpful, while others came across as disengaged and uninterested, almost as if guests were an inconvenience rather than a priority.

Overall, the stay was fine on the surface, but these details matter. With better attention to safety and more consistent customer service, this hotel could be much better than it currently is.

Front desk didn't go out of their way to welcome me or provide help with getting familiar with area. No maps were available. Room updates are needed, floor is slippery in shower and there are stains left on countertops in kitchen and bathroom. I stayed at the Citidines in Yokohama that had fruit infused water & free coffee and nice seating in common area. This location didn't have those same atmosphere or amenities.

This is a nice place with friendly helpful staff right at the beginning of little India. Not too far from attraction areas by taxi. There is public transport nearby but we just asked concierge to get us a cab to places including airport. Rooms are small but comfortable, modern and clean. Pool area is nice too.

We stayed for two weeks, in a studio apt with living room/separate bedroom (9th flr). It's very well equipped and comfortable, with a mini kitchen, full sized fridge and washing machine/dryer. Overall location is good - you can walk to sim lim square & bugis junction.

BUT the immediate vicinity has nothing except indian food. The mall attached to the hotel has nothing interesting: only saris, byriani meals and a giant math tuition center. There is ONE starbucks downstairs, and that's it. The hawker center (Tekka Market) across has 75% indian food. OK if you're into that. There's NO 24hr 7-elevens nearby, but there is Valuestore across the street, which closes at 9pm.

We applied for parking next door, as we rented a car. Entering/exiting the parking needs patience: drive through backroads, make several turns, avoid jaywalking pedestrians, before getting on the main road. Once we got trapped 30mins in a long line of cars struggling getting out to the main road.

The service is NOT great. Whenever we asked for something from the front desk, like an extra drinking glass or toilet paper, it never happened, or turns up a few days later if they remembered. It's not fantastic.

Free grab-n-go breakfast is awesome, but we preferred eating at the rochor hawker center nearby.

One more thing: the room seemed haunted. My wife kept having the same nightmares about 2 characters in the room night after night. We thought that was very odd. She never has nightmares, only in this hotel.

The hotel is generally clean and well-kept. I did spot a couple of tiny insects near the pipes in the bathroom, but it was minimal and didn’t affect the stay. The location is pretty good, there's a train station and bus stop nearby. Overall, a good experience.

I stayed at this hotel several times over the past month, and on two occasions, the emergency bell rang in the middle of the night and early morning. I believe this was done maliciously, and I couldn't sleep at all. Despite this, I received no apology, and they didn't even offer one unless I complained.

Worst possible place, avoid staying here. Has bed bugs and got bit within the first night of staying here. Place was dirty, neighbors were smoking even though a non smoking hotel. Only have cleaning services on certain days. Moved rooms because of cigarette smoke smell and second room had a sewage problem. Ratings on here are not reliable and place is not clean at all. Bud bugs avoid.

A centrally located clean and comfortable gem

The hotel is located on the 3rd floor above the hustle and bustle of Little India close to public transport and with a small Starbucks just downstairs. Inside the rooms are cool and quiet and kept beautifully clean whilst being ecologically aware.
I cannot speak highly enough of the staff. They are professional friendly and kind. I managed to lose my passport on my way to the hotel and after a 20 hour plane journey I was stressed and upset. Khine the lady on Reception went so far above and beyond to help and look after me I could never thank her enough. As it was I never found it but with the combined help of the hotel and the excellent people of Singapore I was issued with an emergency one in no time. I would love to return to this beautiful city and whilst there are many elegant and sophisticated hotels to choose this is where I will stay.

Can recommend Citadines Rochor

All in all, Citadines Rochor was a fine place to stay.
Super convenient to the MRT meant we saved money on airport transfers, and made our way around Singapore on the MRT using a prepaid card with unlimited travel.
The room was amazing, it had everything including cooker, washer/dryer, clothes horse for drying, iron, and much more.
Water station with cold and hot water on each floor.
A bit confusing to find initially, and an odd entry with a lift from street level to lobby on level 3. Once you know the setup it’s fine.
On the edge of Little India there were endless food options (if you like Indian).
We hadn’t stayed anywhere else in Singapore so we’re not able to compare cost or quality, but we were totally satisfied.

Location was great! Tekka Center and Indian Arcade across the street. Little India and Rochor MRT stops very close. The pool was a wonderful respite in the mid day heat. The only criticism is there were no instructions for late night check in. We arrived after midnight & another guest hhelped us access the elevator.

The room was very small and had the smallest twin beds I’ve ever seen. Hallways had horrible odor. Room was clean though. Manager allowed us to check out 1 day early but I had paid extra for refundable rate. Hotel is in the heart of little India if that’s where you want to be though. Easy to walk to restaurants shops but all Indian food only.

This property had a nice pool and a small gym, which was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was nice and cold. They offered flavored water and regular filtered water and ice in multiple locations which we utilized every day. The location is right next to an Indian market and a short walk to Bugis street market. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at Citadines Rochor Singapore during our visit to the city and overall had a good experience.

The hotel is conveniently located right near the MRT station, which made getting around the city super easy. The room itself was comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay. The staff were generally friendly and helpful.

The only downside was the wait time when requesting things like towels—it took quite a while for them to arrive, which was a bit frustrating.

Other than that, it was a pleasant stay and a good base for exploring Singapore, especially the Little India area.

Property and rooms very clean and modern, offering many amenities, like iron, hair dryer, fridge, safe, extra pillows etc, The pool is wonderful and staff is courteous. They offer a laundry room, however cost for one load wash & dry too expensive ($18). Upon welcoming guests, they offered wine, but no non-alcoholic drinks in replacement for kids or for those who do not consume alcohol. Overall, great experience and located in area of fun markets of Little India.

-Rooms were run down (not well maintained) for a 4-star hotel considering the price we paid.
-Hair dryer and iron box did not work.

Stayed for 4 nights. Great location - a few minutes walk from the Rochor MRT station. Quick and easy check in. Rooms were clean - good use of storage and hanging space.
Nice pool although only limited seating available there. Lots of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Would definitely stay again.

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
Breakfast costs 18 Singapore dollars per person, and what you get is absolutely ridiculous: a paper bag with a pear, yogurt, a muffin, and a dry croissant. It feels more like a lunchbox for a preschool kid than a hotel breakfast.
There are no power outlets in the bathroom, and the pool area is tiny—only three sunbeds available, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this size.

Our last night was a complete nightmare. Around 11 PM, a new family checked in and was extremely loud. I called the reception several times to get help. As a result, we couldn’t sleep at all. What a great example of “hospitality”—never again!
This hotel clearly doesn’t care about guest comfort or service quality. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the staff's approach to customer service. I found their interaction to be impersonal and robotic. For example, I was repeatedly told \"Our check-in time is 3 PM\" without any empathy or attempt to understand my situation.

Additionally, the frequent staff changes at the check-in counter forced me to repeatedly explain my room status, which was frustrating and inefficient.

Overall, the staff's lack of attentiveness and the constant repetition of information created a negative and unwelcoming experience.
