Construction work was ongoing in the building next door from 9 am to 6 pm. it was very loud. At the time of booking, we should have been told. The location was great. The pool was clean and a safe location. The front desk did give us a very late check out that helped us out a lot. We would go back again if the construction is finished.

I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights in January 2026 and was left underwhelmed, particularly given the premium rate of approximately $500 per night.
The staff consistently appeared unfriendly and disengaged throughout our stay. No smiles were offered, and all team members seemed visibly fatigued, which contributed to a rather unwelcoming atmosphere from check-in onward.
The most significant issue, however, concerned the room's air conditioning system. While I understand and support the hotel's efforts to adopt environmentally friendly practices, the implementation of motion sensors proved highly problematic. On several occasions, including after brief 15-minute absences, we returned to a noticeably hot and uncomfortable room because the system had deactivated due to no detected movement.
This became particularly intolerable at night. Despite remaining in bed and attempting to sleep, the air conditioning repeatedly switched off because the sensors failed to register minimal motion during rest. The result was a stifling environment that severely disrupted sleep, one of the most uncomfortable nights I have experienced in a hotel. When we raised this with reception staff, the response was one of confusion rather than resolution; the staff member appeared surprised that guests would expect continuous cooling while sleeping, which seemed dismissive of a basic comfort expectation.
At this price level in Singapore, where numerous higher-rated properties offer reliable clima

The hotel overall was fine. The only down side and it’s a big one is the rooms don’t have a “true” bar fridge.
For a couple that loves coming back to nice cold drinks in your bar fridge without minibar prices, it was very inconvenient.

The staff were not very helpful when I tried to adjust my booking dates. The staff said it was the agent’s decision, and the agent said it was up to the hotel. As a result, I ended up paying extra money.

The breakfast quality was average.

There was also some construction happening during my stay, which made the environment quite noisy.

There were a few points I would suggest improving on to get 5 stars from me 1. Air con was sporadic in places - particularly the gym (the area with the running machines was so hot) and the corners of our bedroom was very hot where no air con reached it. 2. The pool area needs new and more sun loungers. Was hard to find a spot to sunbathe. 3. There were no towel hooks in the room so we felt a need to ask for new towels as it was hard for them to dry (which goes against the eco friendliness points) 4. The lighting in the room was quite harsh and bright and difficult to control

The hotel location is central and close to everything. Hotel quite nice and luxurious looking, however, found the bellmen very aggressive. As for the room, the hotel appears to be cutting costs. They do not provide bottled water which is my preference. Instead, they added some type of water filtration system. In addition, they do not provide hand and body lotion which is standard in most hotels. Last but not least, this morning I woke up with a eash on both arms. I have sensitive skin and suspect this is from the laundering process of the bed shèets. Given the cost paid for our one night, I do not feel that we got value for our money.

Clean room, very comfy, good location, great sized bathroom, but did found hotel didn't quite live up to 5 star expectations - queuing at check-in with no one there to greet or provide refreshments after flight, breakfast queue and some disorganisation. Stayed in 4 star previously in singapore a few weeks earlier and that felt more like 5, whereas this was def more like 4 at a max, in some ways a bit below so I was a bit disappointed. Stay was good but wouldn't recommend to friends or family and wouldn't stay again, so not that good.

I recently stayed at what was advertised as a 5-star hotel and, unfortunately, my experience did not meet those expectations. My partner and I were disappointed with both the cleanliness and the service provided.

Upon our arrival, we appreciated the welcome gesture of fresh fruit. However, our experience quickly took a turn when, during our unpacking, a staff member repeatedly knocked on our door despite us indicating we would answer shortly. This disruption was bothersome but not the main issue.

Later that evening, after a long day, we discovered hair and a brownish stain on the bed sheet when preparing for sleep. This was unacceptable. I attempted to contact Housekeeping and the Front Desk, but to no avail. Eventually, I reached out to Guest Relations, where I found the representative lacking in empathy and only offering a new bed sheet without an apology.

When a staff member finally arrived, he offered me the new sheet to change myself, as he had not been instructed to help further. I expressed my discomfort with the stain, emphasizing that any discoloration, especially brown, is completely unacceptable.

This experience on our first night significantly impacted our stay, and I hope the hotel can address these issues for future guests.

Breakfast on the 3rd floor was amazing, lots of choice and the team in the Crystal Club were as helpful as ever.

I have stayed a few times and it’s a great location for business and or a holiday.

Rooms are very comfortable. Only downside is the pillows are extremely hard but you can call reception and order a softer pillow, that is delivered promptly.

Gym is quite small, but the pool is huge.

Staff were very good, attentive and courteous. This was the third hotel we stayed at in Singapore during the period. We found that our room at the Grand felt damp. The pillows felt damp and the quilt felt damp. We appreciate the weather in Singapore is humid but this was the only hotel of the three that we had that experience. We are seasoned travelers and work the air conditioning and temperature control where we can. The location is great and service was great. It was the room that was disappointing. Maybe the other rooms are fine but we were disappointed with the room.

This hotel does not provide a shower room or discounts on late checking - i arrived about 2 am. Other hotels in SG have this option and i sent the message before arrival that i want to use that option. The staff first said they did not receive the message ( it was a reply to the message from the hotel) then said again that since the hotel did not reply i shouldn't expect that option to be available. Overall very unpleasant.

The hotel is in a great location close to train link from the airport and very walkable to all the main attractions. The hotel is close to City Hall station (very walkable).
Appreciated the check in staff finding us a room early as we had experienced a gruelling flight from London.
The room was spacious and user friendly but not a fan of roller blinds in shower cubicles as they went too far down and sat in the water retaining moisture. This probably added to the musty, mouldy smell that hit you as you entered the room. I’m sure this would be a problem for a lot of places considering the humidity and heat in Singapore. Breakfast was average. The layout is confusing and the options are basic but enough to get your day started. House keeping was very helpful and promptly provided extra tea etc when requested. Great location to base your stay.

Room was lovely & large, comfortable beds , only drawback was lack of place to put your clothes on or a place for your suitcase, bathroom also lacking hooks for hanging clothes/towel.

Hotel was clean, and easily accessible.the watch person/staff member downstairs, was extremely helpful and professional, providing service with a smile.

The only thing which spoilt the stay was the breakfast, very confusing, not organised, things in different places, variety of healthy savoury options limited, no halal options, hard to locate anything, small plates to add ur food , making it difficult especially as the small food locations scattered around, plus tiny glasses, needs reorganising big time/staff don’t understand when u ask basic question's around needing something

Great location, lovely staff who were incredibly helpful with late check out and sorting one issue we had with the TV not working. Good sized room for Singapore. My only issue was the pillows which were narrow and hard, which supported your neck well but gave me earache as it was like lying on concrete. I asked for a softer pillow which was delivered with no fuss and was ok but a bit lumpy.
Loads of amenities in the bathroom, but clearly they are used to catering for men on business as everything smelt very musky/manly, which my husband appreciated!
Didn't eat in the restaurant as just so many amazing places to try nearby. Did have a cocktail which was a bit disappointing.
Overall a great hotel and I would stay here again.
