This was my very first time staying in a hostel, had no idea where to expect. Unlike hotels, there weren't any towels automatically provided which I was surprised with. Location is right in the center of all the bars and restaurants , close to metro stations. Overall, a good property if you know how hostels work.

It’s not a capsule hostel. There are beds with blinds. Also, Ac doesn’t get straight to the beds so, we use a Fan. Btw, if you are traveling with time. Abs want to sleep during the day. They turn off the AC from 12 noon to 3pm. And get hot quick. The receptionist wasn’t nice and always was empty. No one cares about been laud at night or morning. And there is no one we could said anything because reception close at 9pm.

A great place for accommodations! Beds were clean, pull down curtains provided privacy from other guests, airconditioning was nice and cold to provide comfortable sleep in Singapore's tropical climates, and bathrooms were cleaned daily. The common area provided a relaxed atmosphere, refrigerator/microwave, and water dispenser on site. Location is close to iconic attractions in Singpore. Enjoyed my one week stay at this hostel, highly recommended.

Brilliant location. The best. Breakfast is toast and cereal which you help yourself to. Was adequate and English tea :)

+ The hotel is very well located near a MRT station in a pleasant area.
+ The rates are reasonable

+ The bed is comfortable

Cons:
+ The showers and toilets are actually in the same room, which means when you go to the restrooms, the toilet bowl is often wet
+ It seemed to us there were not enough bathrooms
+ There is not much space in the common areas

The Beat. Capsules is clean and well presented, the staff are friendly and helpful. The capsule beds are comfortable and self contained. The breakfast is good as is the WiFi. It is in a great location with the whole of Marina Bay Area in easy walking distance. Great for food, entertainment and shopping.

Does what it says but disappointing in some ways

Pros - Hostel is a good location good price for that location and surrounded by happy hours and cheap restaurants which have a buzz in the evening. It is different to others in that you have your own pod which is nice
Cons - being on the top bunk is a pain with the smallest and most uncomfortable metal ladder to climb up and down so pay for a lower bunk - Bathrooms are 4 small rooms with a toilet and shower in each so pretty unhygienic and generally only cleaned once a day

In so many ways it could be better but ok for what it is and half the price of a hotel

We stayed here for 5 nights. The best thing about the hostel is the central location, Boat Quay is a cheaper area for casual bars and happy hour drinks and it's an easy walk to 3 MRT stations to hop around the city. The reception was really friendly, there's cheap towel hire and soap dispensers in the showers. Laundry is expensive at $12, but there's a dryer too.
The bed was comfortable, great quality pillows and two international adapted plug sockets each. Good noise cancelling in the rooms, couldn't hear a thing from the bars downstairs. High speed WiFi everywhere.
The issues we did have were more bad luck, my boyfriend's flip flops were stolen in the hallway, there's a no shoe policy for all the rooms so you have to leave them there. We were told no CCTV in the hallway so nothing they could do.
We also had an older couple stay opposite our capsule for 3 nights who were very sick, unfortunately they did not practice good hygiene at all (talking coughing all night not covering their mouth, spitting what came up into cups in bed, gargling mouthwash in bed). There's no windows in the rooms so it just felt like this germy air was being circulated around the room.
But like I said, bad luck, enjoyed everything else about this hostel and had an amazing time seeing Singapore staying here. Plus they let us store our luggage all day after check out and take a shower before heading off to our flight, so I would recommend this place for sure :)

I’ve been stayed with other hostel before. So far this is the best hostel I ever stayed at Singapore. Value for money. Walking distance to 3 different mrt. Mcd just right behind the corner. Stunning river view from the dorm’s window. Friendly receptionist. Towel rental available. Quality mattress and pillow blanket. Portable table in the capsule. Maximum locker space is provided for queen size bed .

Unsanitary Cleaning Practice

Overall, it’s one of the better hostels with good value for your money, if you can book it around $30 range, due to its prime location (Boat Quay, Raffles, Clarke Quay, Marina Bay). I gave lower grade on cleanliness because I saw them cleaning tables, that people use for eating foods, with vacuum machine right after cleaning dirty floor! Super disgusting!!! Yuk :(!!!

A comfortable week by Boat Quay

Great location, fantastic view.
If you're looking for a quiet stay, this is the place for you.

Top cleanliness, comfy bed, clean living areas. Shoes off in all areas.

Toilet/shower rooms basic, with wet floors from shower usage, which can be problematic if you're just trying to brush your teeth/use the toilet when the last person had used the shower.

However, if you can live with this set up, the hygiene levels are much higher than nearby hostels. (I've experienced dirty floors/linen/smells in close by places).

RFID entry, and RFID locker space under the beds at floor level, so no problems with people remembering codes for combination locks if they stayed there previously.

People at reception friendly and happy to give tips on local food and activities.

Laundry service available - they take your laundry and place the clean and dry clothing on your bed when it's done (no queuing for machines, and a good price).

If you are looking to have a lie-in, the daily cleaning stops for noone, do be prepared for an hour or two's disruption late morning, and the aircon is turned off for that period too.

However the rest of the perks worked well for me, so all in all, a happy customer.

To get 10/10, they could make the shower/toilet facilities more comfortable.

I had a smooth late check-in. I was contacted a day or two prior, via email. They provided instructions on getting into the secure building. Please note: If you check-in late you will not get a towel for showering until the following morning when a staff member is able to complete check-in with your passport. Prepare for that if you want to clean yourself after a long day of travel. The space was fairly quiet after hours; drapes are on every pod. The lockers were spacious enough for my backpack and rolling carry-on luggage, at no additonal charge.The room has a changing area with a mirror and a curtain for dressing privacy. The mattress and comforter were comfortable, but I do think the detergent used to clean the bedding caused me to have an irritable reaction. It was bearable for one night. The dining and lounge area are the same place, not much comfortable seating beyond 10 people. Breakfast was toast with a variety of spreads and juice, milk or coffee. They have an electric kettle to make tea. When washing the dishes after breakfast I found the cleaning space to be extremely small. The area is great for a variety of dining and nightlife, as well as a good 20 minute walk to the Gardens by the Bay and other attractions - which is probably why the cost is high per night. I would not stay here again due to the price and industrial bathrooms. Industrial bathrooms never look clean to me so the space was not comfortable for me to shower and groom. Staff are very helpful.

Great budget hostel at great location

I only stayed for 1 night at this hostel but I can say with confidence that I really made a good choice. The staff was really nice and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable as well.
Located nearby the port, it has easy access to go major sightseeing spots such as Marinas bay sans hotel, Garden by the bay, and China town. There are many bars and restaurants nearby so you won't have trouble finding a place to chill out over some meals and drinks at night. Chatting and socializing with other guests was fun, too. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone who is looking for a reasonable but clean and comfortable hostel nearby the major sightseeing spots. I would like to stay at this hostel again when I have a chance to visit Singapore again. Thanks a lot!

The hotel staff were amazingly friendly and informative. I wish I could have stayed longer to develop close friendship with the staff. They were very respectful and courteous, and they offered genuine care. I love the location as well. Walkable distance to delectable restaurants and major tourist sites. I also liked the nice scenic view from the hotel while enjoying some nice breakfast. The facilities inside the room were very modern and practically convenient. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

The hostel’s location is a big plus being in Boat Quay and an easy 5 minute walk from Raffles Place MRT, and which is an interchange point for the two main (red and green) lines. Check-in was efficient and friendly. Security card access extends to your assigned under bunk storage compartment. My (lower bunk) capsule was clean, well-presented, and the folded up/down table and power outlet are a big plus. Also, the storage underneath the bunk easy accommodated my backpack and other items. Bathrooms were generally kept clean, and a dispenser of skin friendly body wash is available in each bathroom. People kept relatively quiet as per house rules. People tend to keep to themselves, which is fine with me although I had no problems meeting people and exchanging contact details. The first floor lounge area (where you also have breakfast and check-in) is small and basic but functional.

If I mention about negative point, you could hear music and sounds from neiborwhoods as Boat Quay is night spot with many bars and restaurants. So this is not recommendable if you're very sensitive.

Great, great & great!

I stayed here overnight to attend an event at the Esplanade Theatre & the location is just perfect. Budget & easily accessible. MRT Stations are just nearby & very short walking distance, surrounded by streets with lots of restaurants.

The hotel bed is excellent! I had the side entry, all girls dorm & I felt very safe & secluded. Despite being in a dorm, each bed comes with shades & a locker underneath. Only toilets are shared but showers are paired with toilets as well. Rooms and toilets are clean. Security wise everyone has a security card to gain access.

Service was great upon check-in and check-out. I'll actually be considering this place again in the future!

Amazing hotel friendly people perfect location

It was an amazing experience as this is my first time in a hostel i would call it a hotel of your own because of the capsule bed gives you full privacy when you close the curtains let's start with the location perfect spot close to most of the tourists attractions others you can take bus or metro to reach them the closest metro station was raffels place you can reach from the station anywhere in singapore and also you can use the busses as well in a very easy way to reach any destination second thing is the room it was very clean with a perfect view third thing bathrooms there were 4 bathrooms which were enough to accommodate the guests the bathroom was clean with good shower everything you wish you can find it in the hostel perfect location nice room comfortable bed and the nice thing about staying in a hostel is that you mingle with lots of people and share stories together as well last thing is the stuff best stuff very friendly and kind and helpful it was amazing to know them and share stories with them thanks Chloe

The beds are very comfortable and the room surprisingly quiet given the location on a lively street and the number of people in the room. The aircon was great, but non-existent in the upstairs communal area meaning it was very hot. Good showers. The wi-fi was slow. Breakfast consists of coffee, fruit juice and limited selection of cereal or toast. Excellent value for the quality of the accommodation, with incredible helpful staff.

The single capsule i stayed in was very cozy and comfortable. There were blinds for each capsules to ensure privacy. The blinds were breathable such that i didn't feel suffocated in the capsules. I really thought that the international chargers were practical. The toilets were clean for me as well.

This place is in right in the middle of being a hostel and capsule hotel. I enjoyed the cleanliness and central location, but as far as facilities and comfort go, I have stayed in hostels that do that kind of thing much better. I suppose because they're not advertising as a hostel it's irrelevant, and this also helps to deter large groups of young travellers that end up being noisy and messy. Would stay again, but for a long stay I would try and find somewhere with a kitchen and bigger more comfortable lounge area

This is my very first experience staying in a capsule hostel: absolutely the BEST experience so far! The staffs at The Port are ultra friendly and very helpful. They were so eager to share with me their personal recommendations about the attractions near by that Zech even offered to walk me there! Located at the 2nd floor of a conservation house, this is a gem. The view from the reception is beautiful. Rooms are clean, capsules are spacious, and the bathrooms are tastefully designed. Absolutely enjoyed my stay here! Good job The Port!

Einfach Hostel mit super lieben Personal

Das Bett ist super! Jedoch sind die duschen und die Klos in jeweils einer Kabine und bei so und so vielen Gästen kann das doch etwas unhygienisch werden. Das Frühstück ist sehr sehr einfach gehalten. Also hier nicht viel erwarten.
Allgemein nehmt Desinfektionsmittel mit und wenn ihr nicht lange bleibt - also für 2abende wars ok :)
Lage ist echt super und ab 12Uhr ist’s von außen auch leise :)
