Room floor was dirty, with lots of long black hairs as well as a used toothbrush on the floor from the previous guests (I'm assuming). The bathroom had a disgusting smell coming from the drain. Plus the bathroom was extremely small. The AC in the room was really good and the pool and area were great. Hotel rooms are very small tho.

Everything is very clean and the rooms are small but nice. I particularly liked the filtered water tap in the room. The staff were very helpful, polite and welcoming. Particular mention for Logen who went above and beyond to help me with my luggage and my leaving arrangements.

Breakfast was chaotic and stressful, and not an abundance of options. Example - everyday there was melon and orange only. No variation and in my opinion, not enough choice of fruit considering all cultures enjoy fruit at breakfast. The bacon and sausage was terrible, but as an English person, not many hotels abroad meet the standard for an English breakfast. The pastries were ok and the local options were much better, albeit not what I enjoy at breakfast. The only coffee machine serving coffee with milk (as opposed to powdered milk) was under maintenance for a whole sitting. Table seating was not well managed. Set up for lunch had begun before breakfast service was finished and I watched a staff member become irate at a lady who dared to look into the fridge. The space is too small for the busy 8-9 breakfast rush and it was stressful, especially with kids. There is an accident waiting to happen.

Breakfast was my only gripe. It wouldn’t put me off staying again, but I’d plan my breakfast elsewhere should I return.

PROS
-Conveniently located in the CBD and steps from Chinatown.
-The convenience of having an underground link (check out the beautiful murals) from the hotel to the MRT (DT18) and the close proximity to other MRT stations/lines. The train from DT18 connects to Changi Airport.
-The hotel access key card not only unlocked the room door but provides security when transporting to another floor via the (10) elevators which are readily available.
-Housekeeping was always friendly and helpful. He took immediate action when I noticed ants on the desk and checked again later to confirm the problem was resolved.
-The staff on the main level (at Reception & by the elevators) was friendly and helpful.
-The room was clean and quiet, and the pillows provided had different firmness levels.
CONS
-It took several attempts before someone answered the phone when I dialed “O” to report that the lift rod was broken and water in the sink wasn’t being released. Waited over an hour before someone came to check but didn’t repair. Again, Housekeeping came to my rescue when I explained the problem. In the meantime, I had to brush my teeth over the toilet.
-The volume for the tv was preset to a specific maximum level and could not be increased to a level that I could hear.

My husband and I stayed for 3nts/2days before our cruise. Our room, though a bit smaller but good enough for 2 adults with 2 large suitcases, was very clean. We requested for some more coffee/tea packs and delivered right away. Check-in was quick, we were given a room with a pool view, staff very nice and accommodating, lobby was also kept clean and beautiful. We liked how easy it was to get to your room from the elevator just by tapping your card and it will tell you which elevator to go, easy-peasy! And the breakfast options, wow! Huge variety, buffet well presented, food really delicious! We will certainly book this hotel again when we go back to Singapore, very highly recommended!

Room was the smallest I’ve ever seen, and it was an “upgraded” queen room. There was a loud popping noise that happened every 5 minutes as if the building were settling. The electricity would go off for a few seconds multiple times a day, and when it did, it reset the AC. So when it happened at night I’d wake up sweating from the heat. It was obnoxious. I can live with these typical hotel issues. But the real problem was that they messed up my booking, “fixed” it for $72, and then when it still wasn’t correct 3 days later my room key stopped working and they spent 30 minutes “fixing” it again. Meanwhile, the manager and both agents I spoke to were clueless and brushed off my request for the $72 back. One of my worst hotel experiences ever.

I choose this hotel as it seemed like a good location and price and had rooms that slept 3. However, it ended up being a less than ideal option as the rooms are exceedingly small and there was an extremely foul odor in the hallways that made me gag. It's a new hotel, but many areas were rather unclean and I was glad we only spent 1 night here. I would not stay again.

Great location in Chinatown within walking distance of the Buddha Tooth Relic, Sri Mariaman temples, several hawker centers, shopping and restaurants/cafes including Ya Kun Kaya for the traditional kaya toast breakfast. Hotel is modern, clean and connected to the MRT station which made it easy to travel from Changi Airport. Rooms are on smaller side, but efficient and not unusual for a major Asian city center property. Best room feature is a separate filtered water tap to refill flasks. There is a Cheers convenience store directly in front of main hotel lobby driveway for sundries, cold drinks, etc. Also a 7-Eleven across the street. This was a great home base for our first time visiting Singapore. Would stay again.

This property is located near many shopping and eating districts. The lower level food hall is great. But keep in mind of its hours. I gave this hotel 2 stars because we asked for an early check-in, however the AC was NOT working in our room, we called downstairs and they sent maintenance. The maintenance reset the AC unit and told us it will cool down. We left to get food and came back, IT NEVER COOLED! They offered to move our room at 10pm! And still charged us an early check-in fee of $119 WHICH WAS RIDICULOUS!!!! We didn’t even use the room! They claimed “because we went into the room they had to justify the early check-in charge” I DO NOT recommend this hotel and their “FEES”

Front desk, excellent service,the Bellman that takes your luggage to your room was great service. They even had a greeter at the elevator, helping you to get into the elevator, quick response and bringing luggage down from the room when you’re checking out note that your hotel key stops working at checkout time 11 AM hotels close to shopping and food within two minute walking distance, medical clinic and medicine pharmacy are all within five minutes. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The room was clean, but quad room very very small for 2 teens and 2 adults, bathroom was the smallest Ive seen in a family room. Location was great so we were out most of the day. Close to hawker center Lau Pa Sat which open late. Also near MTR which was handy. Breakfast was not worth the price. Service was good overall i would not recommend for family with teenage kids.

Rooms are too small and especially shower. Bathroom makes no sense with washbasin outside and the entire layout of the room means you are squeezing past the other person if you are sharing since the end of the bed and the wall has a small gap. Definitely would not be suitable for anybody with disabilities! Breakfast included was mediocre. Best thing about this hotel is the location.

The staff was amazing, I asked if they could help make the trip special for my daughter’s birthday and they decorated the room with balloons, wrote happy birthday on the window, and left her some local snacks. She was thrilled! They went above and beyond. In addition it was at a great location, a great pool, and quickly let us have a late check out when our travel plans changed.

The design of the hotel meant that our room had a metal roof of the balcony below, right outside our window (we had no balcony). When it rained (all night), it sounded like someone was banging a metal dustbin. When we complained to the hotel, they said there was nothing they could do and we should contact Hotels.com for a refund. Please get in touch.

Not given the bedsize requested, extremely disappointed. We specifically upgraded to the privilege room for a larger room and queen bed. When we got there, it was a double, definitely not 60” wide as a queen should be. When we asked the front desk, they said it was a queen bed. If the bed sizes aren’t standard the dimensions should be listed on the website. This was extremely inconvenient as we were travelling with a child to share the bed. It made for an uncomfortable stay.

Positives is the location, very accessible.
