Location is Fantastic. Get the single room if solo travel. Sharing bathrooms may not be for everyone. No elevator so you may carry heavy luggage up 4 flights. Staff is very helpful and nice.

Thie was an excellent location. I rented ine of the small capsule private rooms. While it was certainly very small, I didnt spend much time there anyways and it was perfect for sleeping and storing my things. Would definitely recommend.

Best location you can ask for. Right by Chinatown markets, Maxwell food centre and close to chinatown complex. Shared bathroom and showers but all very well cleaned and ventilated. Modern place, safe. Room is very small, but if you're travelling to explore the city and going back to hotel to sleep, works great. Only complaints are mild unpleasant smell from corner of room.

Good concept but Chinatown property seems to have a damp problem. I had to change my iniitial room but the second room was only slightly better. Sheets and towels were clean and the room was a decent size for the price.The staff that are only accessible through online chat are fast and polite. They just need to sort the damp.

Unsafe. Surprised that it gets approved in SIN. Last booking with ST Signature Group. Too high tech with room for errors on locked out at bathroom and rooms with no options of recourse. Shared kitchen bathroom unclean

In the “kitchen” - which technically was not a proper one, rather a tea bar” - had arachnids around the counter top, kitchen hob and microwave.
Moreover, there’s no one that could assist you. Everything - from check-in to checkout - is done through an app. Funny enough you need to contact someone to get the app code to login, and the only way to do so it’s to send a WhatsApp message to them. They won’t answer phone calls, and WhatsApp response time takes at least 30 minutes.

This hotel is very well situated inside Chinatown, and I appreciated the easy access to it. It was very inexpensive too. Now, the AC in my room smelled very funky, and the carpet had many moldy stains. The restrooms was only cleaned once a day. So considering that they were shared restrooms, most of the time they were dirty. I think it is good bang for your buck, but it is not without its drawbacks.

While the place was clean and staff were friendly and helpful, management never replied to my initial email after I’d booked a room asking to have bed on a lower level. I paid extra to have a room with a window; however, accessing the bed via very high narrow modular stairs was an H&S issue. It made my stay very unpleasant as it was too hard to climb up and down as often as I would have like to.
Despite instructions, checking in and unlocking my room was also a stressful logistical nightmare. It was, overall, a disappointing experience.

Property was clean and in a great location. However, charged for a single room with en-suite and upon arrival was informed that no rooms in the hotel were en-suite. Shared male/female bathroom, which was on the next floor up and the other side of the building. Check-in app didn't work, luckily member of staff was present. Hotel reception not manned.

ST Signature Chinatown is located directly across the street from the Chinatown Food Market - perfect if you're a foodie and want to get the most out of cheap, local cuisine! Chinatown itself is quite central in Singapore, which allowed me to travel easily to the various destinations I wanted to visit! The capsule rooms are clean and cosy, and the bathrooms provide everything you need. In addition, rooms and the bathrooms are cleaned daily.
There was virtually no interaction with staff since the property does self check-in. That said, I had a problem loading the check-in page on my browser, but luckily ST Signature has a tablet in their lobby from which I could Skype a staff member who happily checked me in to my room. She was very kind and professional!
Overall, this is a perfect home-base for a solo traveller or travel partners who prefer their privacy (although I think there may be double-bed options?). I was much impressed and will definitely consider booking here when I return! Thank you!

The location is great, you can take mrt. from airport and get out at Chinatown station, it’s cost only1.95 SGD. The hotel is perfect for a solo light traveller. The place has no elevator, but the room is nice and clean. Self check-in process is a little bit difficult and may cause trouble for any one that don't read the instruction clearly.
