Communal areas seem unclean/outdated - ie stairwells. The room itself is fine but for the price I paid the TV wasn’t functioning, neither was the room telephone. Toilet door didn’t open entirely and the drain smelled when water was running.

Friendly staff, walkable location, and unique designs for each room! The room itself is a little small, but it’s everything you need for a trip to Singapore. The bed was the most comfortable bed I slept in during my 3 weeks of traveling across Asia! I’m grateful for the powerful AC and that I was able to store my luggage after checking out. Thank you to the staff!

Disappointing in all honesty. Room was in pretty poor condition and very basic. One window blind broken and held together with clamps, the other had to be tied to the window handles to open. The windows were dirty and walls grubby. Considerably over priced based on the room we got. Shame as the hotel is in a good location and could be nice with some basic renovation.

Whilst the hotel is brilliantly located next to the Singapore River and a 2 minute walk from the array of eateries on the waterfront, not to mention the amazing views of Marina Bay Sands, the hotel is not in the best of shape. Some TLC is needed - the hallway on the 3rd floor smelled like an old fish tank and the door to the stairwell was so swollen with water that it was starting to puff out and peel. There was no hot water for the 3 days I was there...although I was given the option to go to a 'sister hotel' nearby for a hot shower. Hmmm...

If you just want a clean bed at the end of your sightseeing day in Singapore, it's a great value hotel option!

What a great location- night life all around. The friendly staff went out of their way to help me get around( even lend out power point converters for free)
I felt safe and had a small window i could open.
The room was arty and so is the whole hotel
I thoroughly reccommend this hotel- once you know your way you could get the airport train within a short walking distance.

Excellent location and a very good place to explore Singapore. Was able to walk to most places. For travellers who just need a place to sleep and will be out most of the day.

Reception staff were helpful and friendly.

It is value for money in that it is affordable and in a good location therefore it is no surprise that it is dated and not the cleanest.

My studio room was as small as a closet at less than 65 square feet and to add insult to injury, I was unable to sit on the toilet comfortably because of how terribly tiny the glass enclosure was. Also, the air conditioner leaked at least 300ml of water onto the floor during the night and I had to put a towel down to prevent it from going anywhere. The building itself is in desperate need of major renovation. Will never stay here again. (No hate towards the housekeepers, they were lovely)

You get what you pay for

Hotel is very dated, Rooms were small. Desk staff was inconsistent. Now for the negative: refrigerator, bathroom, and bedding were pretty disgusting. A/C was shut off every time I left the room, so the desk attendant had to reset and I had to wait until the heat and humidity were brought under control I don’t know how this hotel got ratings so high. It’s really marginal if you only need a place to sleep. If you plan to spend more time in the room, you’re better off doing it elsewhere.

The location is excellent for me, with Clarke Quay and Boat Quay and Chinatown and City Centre at your doorstep. The rooms are not large, but perfectly cleaned and surprisingly well appointed, considering the very reasonable price. A great option to get everything you really need in full comfort without the price of a major hotel.

Lovely little hotel near the centre of the city!

I had a great overnight stay in this hotel. The midday checkout, the excellent price of the single room, the friendliness of the staff, and the luggage storage all contributed to a great trip for myself! Only downside is the old look of the room, it felt like it needed an upgrade. Apart from that I’d definitely stay again and recommend to others!

I thought the hotel offered terrific value for the money, and it was right in the middle of all the action. Excellent location. Remember, this is not advertised as a ritzy hotel, so you need to keep that in mind with other reviews. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel did everything that I expected for what they advertised. I was there for a week, and could not have done better for the money anywhere else in the city. I would stay there again.

This room is exactly as advertised - it is definitely a very small room. I just about managed to fit in my large suitcase. There is air con in the room, but something I hadn't considered - because the room is very small, the air con sounds really noisy, but the air con is definitely needed. In the mornings, there were midges in the shower which I had to shower hose out everyday - pretty grim. I then realised there were quite a few in the lift etc so I didn't bother complaining to staff. There were about 5-10 every morning. The location of this hotel is excellent - that was pretty much the only highlight of staying here. If you can cope with being in a small room then go for it. It was one of my regret buys of my trip - it wasn't for me - but I coped for 3 days!

Great location and super helpful and friendly staff. When I had issues tried to resolve as soon as possible.
My only issue is re housekeeping
I had to ask when toilet roll was about to run out and I don’t feel it is unreasonable to ask that there should always be a spare replaced if need be whenever they clean my room daily but to be honest that is trivial compared to fact I stayed 10 nights and whilst sheets and pillows were changed day 8 the duvet cover was never changed and I knew that was the case as a chocolate stain was still there after pillows and hopefully sheet was changed. That was my only complaint really. The location and ease in using public transport were amazing. The premises does need a bit of maintenance but that would not stop my going there again or recommending it to others

1. The location is amazing, very convenient!
2. The room condition: first 3 days in a very small room with no window. I didn't feel have any fresh air! Upgraded to a bigger room with windows but cant open at all! I emailed to request a room with window but No response No results!
3.Service: Good and bad! Michael and Noor are nice,especially Noor is very nice and helpful! But the light skin lady ( from Philippines ) needs being more respectful and practicing English.

Room 402 AirCon was not working at 5pm when we checked in. Staff said impossible & asked us to wait 15min, then waited 1/2 and then waited 2 hours before they finally came up to check. Took another 1-2 hours before finally agreed for us to change the room to 302 at 11pm. This is 6 hours wait after a 20 hour flight in a non air conditioned room & we were sweating like crazy before allowing us to change room. Also the room is significantly smaller than Bencoolen Hotel around the corner at the same rate.

Good design and good bed but short-staffed

Room was clean and decent design, location was very good, but some of the facilities were quite worn out, and the small rooms mean noise from the hallway came through pretty clearly. The biggest problem was that due to a lack of staff the desk was frequently unattended, so I had to wait maybe 25 minutes for someone to come so I could check in - apparently this had caused some big problems for someone needing to get their luggage to go to the airport. But I told the staff exactly when I would be back for my luggage, and they were there -- so, if you tell them, they will make it work.

Terrible! got the confirmation from expedia and I even left an online message to the hotel about my arrival time. I arrived at the hotel but they said my reservation got canceled (not sure if the problem was theirs or expedia’s). Now I’m given a room way cheaper than the one I originally booked - I already paid full amount and also got all the hassle I had for the check in (almost an hour). DO NOT recommend this hotel. The manager “Aileen” was super helpful thou.

The front desk provides excellent service! Felt very welcome. The initial room provided had a strong smell, quite likely because of the additional cleaning and sanitizing required due to COVID-19. When we requested a change of room, the staff was very accommodating and understanding, and we were provided a change of room. Pool was closed due to the pandemic, which was a shame, but it was a nice staycation away from home.

The rooms are very small but we knew that going in. I liked the separate shower and toilet and the arrangement of the room was very practical and after a while we did not notice the size. location was perfect, just a short walk to Clarke Quay Centre and MRT. The hotel is well located and handy to everything. Some of the staff spoke excellent English and some were ver hard to understand! A very well thoughtful room considering its very small size. The single room is just enough for one person who doesnt need much space. Toilet is separted from the shower which is nice and clean. This hotel is a great example of a small space used exellently. The only thing I noticed was there is \"no disturb\" sign option and no instruction of what to do if you don't want your towel replaced. They pretty much clean and replaced everyday.
