A lovely hotel in a quiet location with some lovely views from the front rooms over looking the old town and temple of Artemis. Parking is on the street nearby but these are very quiet and there are plenty of spaces. The hotel its self can be difficult to find as tucked away down a side street.
Easy walking to local sites restaurants and a few small shops.
Staff very welcoming and helpful.

The hotel is designed and run by the owners , a most beautiful welcoming stay. It feels like a home with coffee tea and cakes available throughout the day, sitting by the poolside enjoying a cup of tea was delightful. The room is tastefully furnished with all amenities to meet daily needs. Breakfast has a good spread of fresh olives , tomatoes , greens , cold cuts , breads and pastries and eggs cooked to order. Location is very good , near the museum and restaurants . Will stay again in Akanthus hotel if I return to Ephesus .

The most beautiful boutique hotel

Absolutely lovely boutique hotel, designed and run with exquisite attention to detail. Beautiful outdoor courtyard with spa-like vibe and decor celebrating the local culture including ancient artifacts procured from the site during construction. The hotel manager and architect were present and incredibly hospitable and helpful with local suggestions during our stay. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Only complaint I can think of is the coffee was weak. An espresso machine would be a nice addition.

What a sweet little place - it was pouring rain when we arrived but the staff was helpful and cheerful - grabbing our wet bags out of the car and showing us where to park in the rain. They made us feel so welcome without hovering - I can highly recommend this place.

I was the last guest at the place from day before. I can’t say that for sure but the place looked pretty empty with the exception of the staff and alot of the vehicles and people seen during of breakfast were no longer around.

I loved how tidy the room was, with its beautiful Turkish-style decorations adding a charming touch. The hotel offers complimentary coffee, tea, and snacks in the restaurant throughout the day, which was perfect for someone like me who enjoys coffee at any time.

We chose this hotel because the pool area looked great and the rooms looked comfortable. Both lived up to our expectations. The hotel is up a very small laneway and a little hard to find, but very well located in Selcuk. Parking is on the street, but there's enough. Check in could not have been easier or more pleasant. Our room was very comfortable, with enough closet space etc. for our clothes, and a very nice bathroom. Breakfast was served on the poolside patio or in a modest dining room. The pool was terrific with views out over the surrounding countryside. We would definitely stay again.

From the minute we went through the door our reaction was wow! It looks amazing and proved to be just that exactly. The staff were so kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast eggs were freshly cooked and the jasmine perfumed the air. A lovely experience and our best accommodation experience in Turkey. We stayed in 6 different hotels and this was our absolute favourite.

A little oasis behind a big wooden door - surrounded by ancient sites. After a hot day hiking and inspecting Roman and Byzantine sites, it was glorious to retreat to Akanthus. If you are planning to visit the ruins at Ephesus, or the home of The Virgin Mary, you can’t go wrong with the Akanthus Hotel.

We drove our rental car from Izmir, and easily found the hotel where we were warmly greeted by their wonderful staff.

The room was first rate, and the proximity to the ruins makes visiting effortless.

Breakfast was very nice, and the property has a cozy feel that made us want to stay longer and visit again in the future.

We really enjoyed our time in Ephesus, and it was made even better by the staff and hotel at Akanthus.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Muharrem was the kindest host who took care of all our needs. He arranged airport transfers, made recommendations and reservations at two excellent restaurants both about 4-5 minute walks from the hotel and engaged the most knowledgeable guide for a whole day of touring the Ephesus historical site. The hotel is quiet and comforting with soft music playing in the background and complimentary cake and coffee/tea available all day. The room was spotless and the property lovingly displays rugs and artifacts. The breakfast is excellent with eggs cooked perfectly as you choose and fresh fruit, breads and jams and cheeses. Every staff member was professional, helpful and smiling. Watching the sunset from the pool deck with a cup of Turkish tea was totally relaxing after a day of touring. We were so sad that our schedule did not permit an extension of a couple more days.

They are very attentive to guests and offer information about restaurants and nearby activities. The grounds were small but very comfortable and beautiful. There is a great pool in the garden, surrounded by flowers and plants. An oasis. My room on the second floor was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Breakfast was great. What an extraordinary boutique hotel!
I wished I could’ve stayed longer. The setting, on a hill overlooking the valley is perfect, and the short walk into the old town center is easy. You were surrounded by history, but the hotel itself, the pool, and rooms are modern and extremely comfortable. Close attention is paid to every design element and everything is just beautiful. Also, the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommend!!

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was very soft. The room was extremely clean. Very close to restaurants and shops. Very close to the Bus Station, Taxi Stands, and ATMs. I did take a cab to Ephesus because the walk was a little long - but I didn't mind. I opted to stay an extra night and the staff was extremely accommodating to my request.

Our family had an amazing few night stay at Akanthus Boutique Hotel. First, the owner was phenomenal and treated us like family. The 2 rooms we had were very nice and as shown in the pictures. The breakfast was very good and they had a daily cake available for snacking with coffee/ tea/ water all day. The patio and pool area are lovely with a beautiful view - we wish we had more time to spend just relaxing there. The hotel also arranged a day tour of Ephesus for us with Apasas Travel, the tour was top notch with a superlative tour guide. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again for a longer time.

A fantastic boutique retreat in Selçuk!

This boutique hotel was exactly what we needed after a long day of travel and sight seeing. What a pleasant surprise in so many ways! It was quiet during our visit at the end of peak season, which was nice. However even at max capacity we are certain the hospitality and care to be excellent. What was shown to us by Arda and the owners in every aspect of our short stay was unparalleled. We immediately felt like family.

The breakfast was wonderful, the atmosphere calm and beautiful, and the comfort some of the best we’ve had on our extended European and Middle Eastern adventure.

There is ample street parking and it felt very safe around the hotel. It’s a bummer it wasn’t a bit warmer so we could take a dip in the pool (it was open but a bit chilly when the sun went down) but we will gladly come back. Not a single complaint and can’t recommend more.

Don’t miss this place! Conveniently located to everything, 2-min walk to the Ephesus archeology museum and a short drive to Ephesus ruins. Beautiful estate and scenery views! I love the calming & peaceful night, couldn’t be more perfect for a getaway! The pool is perfect if you travel with children.

My husband and I found the Akanthus Hotel Ephesus to be an amazing hotel. It is new with very comfortable king beds. The architecture, the furnishings, and the pool are just beautiful. The sunsets from our room and from the pool were just breathtaking. Best of all, the owners and the hosts/hostesses were so friendly and informative. We cannot wait to go back. It is like an oasis after a day at the Ephesus ruins. And we feel as if we have made new friends with their team.

I can't say enough about this nice boutique hotel.....one word: Excellent!
First of all, is family own and right away you know you are not in a hotel chain. I actually meet one of the brother owners and had a nice conversation. Arda, the receptionist is super friendly. I also had a great conversation with him at the end of my day. Everyone was so friendly.

When you stay here, you feel you are staying in a family cottage. Rooms are comfortable, cozy and super clean. They have a nice pool with a beautiful view.

I will stay here again when I come back. You should too.

The hotel, pool, dining areas, staff and food were all superb! The staff made us feel like their hotel was our home. They also provided great recommendations on prioritizing local attractions we should see, and great restaurants we should try.

Probably the best boutique hotel we have ever stayed in.
Could not have been better.
From the moment we arrived, Muharrem the owner was the best host we could have wished for.
Best recommendation for a private tour guide (Volkan) and a fantastic restaurant called Mayadan, set in a beautiful vineyard.
