Friendly staff and very helpful all the time. All of them go beyond my expectations. They help to set up my tour to Ephesus Ruins, Virgin Mary House, etc. with the most knowledgeable Tour Guide, Rose. My room was cozy, beautiful and spacious. They have a great taste with the decoration in that room. Shower rain fall, water hot after a long day in a tour. The food was delicious fresh and warm. The cook lady very attentive and cook delicious. No complaints at all. I will back to Selcuk and I will stay at Nilya Hotel…for sure!

Our stay at the Hotel Nilya could not have been better! The hotel is comfortable and beautiful decorated and our rooms were lovely. Nazmi was an amazing host, providing us with excellent recommendations on local sites, restaurants and the best time to visit Ephesus. He also drove us several places and gave us a fine example of Turkish hospitality by showing us his farm. I recommend visiting their gallery which is a short walk from the hotel, to see the beautiful ceramic tiles and rugs. Nazmi taught us a lot about the history and styles of Turkish rugs: an important part of any visit to Turkey. Thank you Nazmi and Erdal!

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Nilya. Along with a comfortable room with pretty decor the parking was easy and the hosts were super hospitable. Also, the breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had. The location is just a few minutes drive to Ephesus. Highly recommend!

The owners were very friendly and really helpful. Erdal gave us lots of lots of local information regarding neighbourhood sights to see and good reasonably priced places to eat. He even booked our next hotel in Pamukkale for us at a really good rate. Nazim shuttled us to Ephesus free of charge. The hotel itself is decorated with lots of hand carved furniture and Turkish tile work. Beautiiful! The chef/chambermaid is so sweet and friendly.

This is such a cute hotel with traditional decorations in the rooms and a beautiful relaxing courtyard. The breakfast was good sized -- I wished there was a bit more variety, but for a couple of nights it's perfectly fine. The hotel is walking distance from many places in Selcuk but very peaceful and quaint. Importantly, it's walking distance from the train station and there's a direct train from Selcuk to the airport in Izmir. I'd absolutely stay here again.

Nilya hotel is a cute little family run hotel. The breakfast is amazing, the rooms are small but pretty and clean. The location is great, walking distance to interesting sights and delicious eats. What makes this hotel special is the excellent hospitality of its owners. They went above and beyond to help our party sort out different things: they haves us free shuttle rides to and from Ephesus, they helped us contact a great and knowledgable guide, they got us a taxi to go to virgins Mary house. They lent us their backgammon and showed me and my sister Joe to play. They constantly offered us tea and coffee. I left my kid le behind and they texted me and offered me to send it on DHL at no extra cost. They are really experienced and helpful hosts. I would come back again!

We stayed in their suit room for 3 people. Rooms were very clean, elegantly decorated, had A/C, rain shower head in a large shower area. Healthy breakfasts were served in the garden under green canopy. The hotel is run by two families, very safe and high quality establishment. Hand carved wooden furniture everywhere, hand-woven woolen ornaments and hand painted Turkish tile artwork, miniature pictures on the walls in the rooms. Owners are very helpful from giving information about the area, calling taxis as needed, to dropping us to Ephesus city entrance, even thinking about providing us cushions for the opera night at the Ephesus antique amphitheater for the Ephesus Ballet and Opera Festival. They served us tea in the balcony when we arrived from road all tired. Location is walking distance to St. John's Basilica, Selcuk castle and Arthemis Temple (one of the ancient seven wonders site). three km. distance to Ephesus antique city. There are cafes a ND some food options around in walking distance. Definitely our stay in Selcuk for all next time!

Nice character property, on a quiet street. Very close to St John's Basilica and the Castle. 10 mins walk from the train or bus. Friendly place, nice breakfast, in a shady courtyard garden. . Really helpful to get a lift to Ephesus top entrance after breakfast. Only a white curtain at the window meant it was very light for sleeping unfortunately.

This was a special experience which was on the top of the hill across from the St. John basilica. The room was small for three people but the breakfast was Beautiful and fresh. The staff was Great and hotel patio beyond beautiful with trees and plants and well lit at night. The extra touches in decorating was very nice and reflected the area nicely. Another great choice on my recent travels. From the moment I was greeted with tea and information on the area until my last sip of coffee in the delightful courtyard, it was so enjoyable and exactly what I’d hoped for. Windows in room, slightly ajar, Arabian Jasmine fragrance permeating the air. Experienced owners are dedicated to their hospitality and managing their property very well. They even share their affiliated Turkish carpets gallery. Excellent breakfast served in the courtyard. Delightful staff. Perfect location for old town. I would like to have been able to make coffee or tea on our own in the room itself... But - it would have been available if we'd requested. VERY nice breakfast. Comfortable hotel with a great location
Perfect location; a 2-minute walk from St. John Basilica and a few minutes drive from the ancient city of Ephesus. It’s quite conveniently located in the middle of the city. Pamuçak beach is a 15-20 minute drive away. The hotel is well kept, clean, and beds are comfortable. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Three parking spots are available outside though if you have some idiot American park his car in a way that takes up two spots, it reduces the parking space available. Breakfast is pretty decent; tasty, but somewhat limited (perhaps understandable given the economic situation in Türkiye). But for comfort, location and service, this is a wonderful hotel. We had a very good stay.

Hotel Nilya was my favorite stay on this trip. The hotel was tranquil and quaint. The beds were so comfortable. I absolutely love the sauna like showers that washed all my fatique away after the endless exploring of Ephesus. The host Nazmir was so helpful in making recommendations of what we should see first and where to eat. Trust his advice. We stayed here for 3 nights to see Ephesus, Pamukkale, Sirince, and House Mary. The hotel was easy to get to. Four of us took a flight from Istanbul to Izmir, then 1 hr train to Selcuk. It was a 10 min walk to hotel. Note to all travelers coming to Turkey, bring cash. Almost all restaurants, tours, transportation will ask for Liras or Euros. Some will take your credit card reluctantly.

I would like to particularly mention James, the staff who take care of me and my sisters from the time of checkin up to checkout.
We checked in late at night and without any hesitation he prepared us a nice meal knowing that we were probably hungry at that time.

Super stay close to so much history
The hotel is a superb Turkish style, very eclectic and well looked after. The hosts are brilliant and will provide you with information about the history of the area and the many hidden treasures. Location is a short distance (walk) to the castle and St John’s basilica, the Virgin Mary’s house is 5k away and Ephesus is a short drive. Plenty of places to eat in the town but don’t miss the breakfast. Definitely come back on the way home

The small hotel is located in the old town of Selçuk and is well located. The owners went way out of their way show us around Selçuk and surrounding villages as well as arranging a very good guide for Ephesus They recommended some very good restaurants. The rooms were clean and quiet and the breakfast is large and very good. The owners also own a high quality rug business and they are very knowledgeable about their products but there was no pressure to purchase. We have travelled extensively and consider Hotel Nilya one of the best places we have stayed.

Our room was comfortable and had all we needed for a 2 night stay. Breakfast was gorgeous with lots of fruit and made to order eggs plus breads and delicious spreads. Lovely place to stay.

The best part of this quaint hotel is the people! They are so friendly and accommodating and helpful. Somehow that rubs off on the patrons as we all connected in the morning over a plate of fresh fruit and our choice of eggs. “Mr. Faster” the owner kindly drove us to Ephesus at no charge and touched base with is every morning. “James” was extremely helpful in walking us to a local restaurant and helping us get to Fethiye. His years as a travel agent come in handy. He also shared some of his family’s wine with us as well. We loved the location and it was so quiet at night. Great restaurant 50 metres away. Please don’t feed the cats they are well cared for and feeding them at the table brings unwanted ants, etc.

We absolutely loved this property. It was the best we have stayed at in Turkey so far. It was decorated with lots of Turkish pots and framed tiles. Breakfast was amazing, with of lots of fresh fruit and different choices for eggs. The owners dropped us to the top gate of Ephesus and offered to pick us up. Walking distance to the town center for restaurants and shopping. Can also walk to the bus and train stations. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

It was the best hotel we ever stayed at in Turkey. It has an amazing interior design, with many beautiful Turkish art pieces, the hotel is cosy and very quiet. The owners of the hotel are very friendly, welcoming and ready to help. Breakfasts in Hotel Nilya are exceptional with much tasty food. It's also worth mentioning that the hotel is located in a historical neighbourhood, so it's super close to all the historical attractions you'd want to visit. I definitely recommend this hotel if you're planning to come to Selcuk.

Fantastic family run place goes above and beyond for you. They helped me arrange a tour guide for Ephesus and even provided free transportation to and from the site. They loaned us a guidebook to use around town and gave recommendations on what to do and where to eat. The owner pointed us towards a local market that we would have never found on our own. The hotel itself is charming, filled with interesting decor. The owner also runs a shop if you want to purchase similar items to take home with you. Neighborhood is nice and quiet. Breakfast was five star--loads of fruit, jams, bread, coffee/tea, and eggs to order. All around, HUGE value for the price. I've never gotten such good service from any hotel anywhere. I highly recommend and I will definitely stay there again if I'm in the area.

Great place to stay, Wi-Fi was good and so was breakfast with eggs cooked to order. A little disappointed that we were unable to ‘check-in’ until after 3pm when they advertise from 2pm. That said, I would recommend this place as it is nice and quiet.

I spent 3 nights in this lovely hotel. It has a beautiful courtyard, cosy rooms with character and is spotlessly clean. The staff are super friendly and not only picked me up from tbe bus station for free but also took me Ephesus and back for free. The location couldn't be closer to main historical attractions so its easy to walk everywhere in town. Each morning there was a lovrly fresh breakfast and i really enjoted the super hot rainforest shower. I think this is the nicest place you can find in Selçuk at this price and I will definitely stay here again when i come back.

This really had the feel of a uniquely Turkish place. The architecture, the decor and the location - all were charming and authentic, as well as comfortable. Breakfast in the courtyard was really good. The three staff I met (Nazmi, Erdal and Yalçim - thank you for the hospitality) were helpful and friendly. Of course Nazim invited me to visit his shop, but he was not insistent and happy to just let me browse (I'm not a shopper). He also gave me good advice for dinner: the Amazon Bistro Café, within easy walking distance. The hotel is located in the scenic old core of the city, in the middle of winding narrow streets, within walking distance of Ephesus, the Isa Bey Mosque, Ayasoluk Castle and the Basilica of St. John. It is also close to the Ephesus archeological museum, and to the bus station. It was my favourite of the four hotels I stayed in during my holiday.

They drove me to Ephesus ruins and picked me up. Made sure i was hydrated at all times. Covid precautions are in place. Each room is decorated uniquely! Perfect Turkish experience. Nilya is truly a charming place, and so is backwater Selcuk (as opposed to overbuilt Kusadasi). The manager was gracious, our room was nicely and tastefully appointed, and having breakfast in the garden (or a beer in the evening) was a treat.
