St Malo is a victim of its own popularity insomuch unless you pick your time, parking can be very very frustrating! The hotel was very nice; clean room, friendly helpful staff and ideally located inside the walls making easy access to bars and eateries.

Great stay in a historic hotel in the heart of Honfleur - beautiful rooms and comfy beds - charming service - too many great restaurants around the area meant we didn’t eat there and breakfast not for us bar a coffee and a croissant which we had locally - ( only slight gripe booked a parking space but then car park was full and had to park in public car park - but no big deal and they didn’t charge for that night and the electric chargers were a bonus - got the impression locals were using it as only needed a code and did not ask for vehicle details when checked in )

The only negative on this property is that we arrived around 5:00pm and couldn't find a single convenient place to park to unload our bags. We tried to park out front for a few minutes to unload and got chased away. We parked in the lot down past the carousel. We only stayed in Honfleur one night so on Saturday, we were woken up by what seemed like the entire town setting up for their market at 5:00am. The market was great! We checked out and tried to leave at approximately 10:00am but were again faced with having to lug our baggage through the streets to the parking lot which was a decent distance away. The hotel was nice, the rooms were clean, but the parking is terrible!

Our first dinner at the hotel was a disappointment. Receptionist was no were to be found and we seated ourselves after waiting 30 minutes to be seated (and we were only 1 of 3 people having dinner.) Our waitress could not open a bottle of wine (it was her first time?). When our first choice of wine was sold out, the hotel offered a much more expensive bottle. No luck in getting dessert since our first courses of salad etc. were forgotten all together. Would not recommend restaurant when so many other good choices are within walking distance.

Our stay at this hotel was disappointing. Finding the location was a struggle due to an incorrect address on Google Maps, with no guidance provided. When we called ahead to inform reception of our late check-in, the woman answering was the only staff member there and struggled to understand us in French. Even in person, communication was difficult, though switching to English helped slightly. On arrival, we discovered parking had to be booked in advance, something that was never communicated to us—not even during the call. The lack of a lift was another issue, forcing us to carry our luggage to the second floor late at night, which we only learned about by reading the fine print on the website. Additionally, the toilet in the room was uncomfortably small. Overall, it was an unwelcoming experience with poor communication and lack of guest consideration

Great hotel be aware of the parking!

Really nice hotel on the centre of the town. Very good modern facilities while keeping the character of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were upgraded from a cosy to a standatd room and it was comfortable, well appointed and characterful. Didnt eat in the hotel as there is so many great options nearby and €26 is too much for a breakfast in any hotel for me. However there are plenty of great artisan boulangeries close by. The only reason i didnt give this hotel 5 is that it advertises it has parking which it does not. There are a couple of spaces in a public square outside, so you have to park elsewhere in the town which could be challenging depending when you arrive. That said it would not stop me staying there again. We really enjoyed it!

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the town. Lovely room. The reception kept us waiting for an hour even though check in was advertised as 3pm and then forgot us. No apology and just blamed it on the cleaners. Woken up at 6am both mornings with bottles being collected. A small fridge in the room would have been nice…. Quite minor things but could have been so much better!

A wonderful stay...however we had some issues with our room which weren't resolved during our stay (toilet didn't flush...ac leaked and didn't cool the room...)... staff could have been a little friendlier (as per previous visits)... but we still love the place and would return.

Wonderful Property.

We had a fantastic stay at Les Maisons de Lea. It is in a fantastic location. We loved the \"quirkiness\" of the hotel. Very comfortable bed and bath. Was a nice surprise that the items in the mini-bar (including alcohol were gratis). You do have to book parking in advance (which would have been nice to know in advance). There is ample public parking within walking distance. Because the age of the property there were no lifts to the floor of our room. This property could be more difficult for a person with mobility issues, but was great for us.

We arrived very late in the evening and the hotel was so pretty and festive with twinkly lights and decorations. It’s ideally located in the centre of things.

The staff were really friendly and helpful.

The decor is a bit tired in places but, that seems to add to its charm. The room was immaculately clean and the bed really comfortable.

We booked a \"Privilege Room\" which clearly stated \"Private bathroom, deep-soaking bathtub\" also \"Free WiFi\".
We booked this because I have a chronic back condition and benefit from soaking in a hot tub each morning. What we received was a shower an no bath. The hotel was full and informed us that the mistake was in the description given by Hotels.com. The wifi did not work at all over the last 2 to 3 days of our 4 night stay. Our bedroom was very small but quite nicely appointed. The toilet cubicle in our room was the smallest I have seen anywhere - and had no toilet paper holder!

An enjoyable stay in a favourite town

A lovely stay in a quiet area of a beautiful and very popular town. Weekdays seem to be the best days to visit. It's our third visit to Honfleur but our first in this hotel.

Our room was very comfortable towards the back with windows facing the courtyard. We had a separate bathroom and toilet plus coffee and tea making facilities. A side entrance to the courtyard meant we could come and go without passing through reception. It was very quiet except for the sounds of staff chatting over a break.

There is a Michelin Bib Gourmand rated restaurant (Le Bréard) just across from the courtyard entrance to the hotel. Sadly, they were fully booked so we ate at the hotel restaurant. It was a good but not memorable meal.

Service at the hotel was a bit slow, I suspect due to staff shortages, but never a problem. Staff were polite and eager to please. English was widely spoken though, of course, any attempt at French was appreciated.

We ate outside due to Covid concerns. The hotel didn't take the same precautions we'd experienced elsewhere in France, such as checking health passes and mandating masks in all public areas.

We took breakfast at a tourist café by the docks, a pleasant morning spot with surprisingly excellent coffee.

The narrow streets are not SatNav friendly and parking is 300m offsite, with limited space or time to drop off bags beforehand. Driving to the parking was slow, against a constant flow of impatient Sunday afternoon traffic, headed back to Paris.

Mini break in Honfleur

Hotel is in excellent location in Honfleur. It is in an old building with no air conditioning. Unfortunately the weather was extremely hot whilst we were there and the fan was not really adequate. It was an extreme temperature for that part of France, so suspect not usually a problem. The parking is a few minute walk away and the streets are rather narrow!
We ate at the restaurant on the terrace one evening and the food was excellent.Would definitely recommend.

Individual bedrooms were pleasant. In top floor room 30 had to lean forward to get to one side of bed due to sloping roof/narrow space. No lifts. Neither a problem for us, but might be for some.
Car park separate from hotel, but secure with good sized bays - must be pre-booked. Enjoyed stay and would stay here again.

I had to cancel my reservation 4 days before due to work schedule. I emailed and called the property and they said ‘No problem, it’s taken care of.’ Then the day of the original reservation, they called me to say the room was ready. I told the lady I had canceled 4 days before. She said there were no notes but did find my email. I was still charged for the room and now trying to get my money back from Expedia. What a nightmare !

Really threat location. Nice staff. Beautifully furnished and great bed and room. So you know parking is off site and a short walk. No air con , I guess not normally a problem but the weather was extraordinarily hot. Bathroom itself is God’s but the toilet is seperate and the room tiny. I would strongly recommend for tourists and romantics and is charming, historical , individual and charismatic. I would definitely go again.

We were blown away by our first visit to Honfleur. This place is a brilliant place to visit, possibly the prettiest town I’ve been to. The hotel is in a splendid spot in the heart of the town, housed in a marvellous square. So picturesque but inside did not disappoint with an old but very well maintained interior and a particularly helpful check in. We also secured free parking right outside the house. First class visit and a great hotel.

Our stay at Les Maisons de Lea was absolutely perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully furnished with comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. The Hotel breakfast was one of the best that we had in our travels through France. Les Maisons de Lea location is right at the center of the town square and our window looked on to the church bell tower. We stayed there on the weekend and were thrilled to find that the farmers market took place in the square on Saturday offering local fruit, cheese, fish, bakery goods etc... I highly recommend this hotel.

This is a nice cost hotel to stay, good rooms and overall nice experience. The restaurant has been refurbished and looks much nicer now. I have stayed over 20 times and its probably open of the best hotels if you want a central location within walking distance of the restaurants and shops and town centre in general.

La literie tant matelas et oreillers sont exceptionnels.
la chambre était d'une surface correcte, par contre les toilettes très très petite (impossible pour une personne très grande)
concernant le petit déjeuner, il y a un manque d'organisation, lorsque nous sommes arrivés il n'y avait personne pour l'accueil, beaucoup de tables n'étaient pas débarrassées, il a fallu bien chercher la machine à café qui est excentrée par rapport au buffet, concernant ce dernier il n'est pas ravitaillé en cas de manque.
pareil pour la machine à café qui réclamait de l'eau, et il n'y avait plus de dosette non plus. En fait vous devez réclamer, ce n'est pas normal pour un hôtel 4 étoiles.
L'accueil à l'arrivée a été très bien, le personnel est en général accueillant et serviable.
L'emplacement est très bien situé pour le port et le centre ville.
