Nox Guest House was nice, however:
1) At least for the first 2 or 3 rooms, it appears that all of the toilet plumbing empties or is aided through a pump of some kind located in Room 1 (which was our room) and said pump or junction is housed outside of the wall in a not-very-well acoustically or odor insulated housing (door therto was warped & loose), making it so that every time someone flushed in our room or the proximate rooms it sounded like a submarine submerging, and subsequently did not smell very nice. Ick.
2) Inner door knob to our room fell off as soon as we arrived. Staff on site attempted to fix (looked like a missing hex screw), but fell off again when we left. Hopefully 2nd time is the charm.
3) We booked two rooms for 4 people in March (for June stay), but one of the 4 simultaneously booked a room, not realizing we had book the two. She within 24 hours contacted the property to conceal her extra booking, but the property would not cancel her extra reservation, charging full price even if cancelled. Not a very good policy, especially within that time frame.
The aesthetics of the Nox are nice- contemporary without being gaudy, and the staff, when present, were courteous and helpful.
